We had a wonderful experience at the hotel! All the staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. From the smooth check-in process to the excellent buggy service, everything was handled with great care and efficiency. The staff were always ready to assist and made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Their warm hospitality truly made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, a fantastic experience, and we would definitely be happy to return. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

相変わらずゴージャスで、ガーデンの大きな木からエネルギーをもらえた。いつも生命の息吹を感じる。

小さい頃から何度も宿泊しているが、ロビー（歌ったり、踊ったり、ドリンクが飲めた）の雰囲気もかわってしまったし（今は中国の方が飲み食いしてテーブルの上にバナナの皮やゴミが…）（中国の子供達が走り回ってる）部屋も以前より清掃が手抜きな感じで、昔のラササヤンの誇りを取り戻して欲しいなと思いました。チェックインしてすぐにプールに入ることを楽しみにしていましたが、当日チェックインの時に部屋がまだ準備できていなかった。ラササヤンでそんなことがあるなんて驚いたし、ショックでした。時代とともに廃れずにこれからも繁栄してくれることを願ってます。ラササヤンはペナンに行くと必ず予約するホテルです。

Cannot excess the beach. What a disappointment. The bed and pillows are in bad condition. Couldnt sleep properly! Overall breakfast is so disappointing! Worst vegetarian food. For a 5 star hotel it’s a total disaster! Only the staffs were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. From the house keeping to the concierge. Excellent service!

I really loved the location of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food, and the room was very comfortable. I stayed in the Garden Wing and absolutely loved the beautiful view, it made the whole stay feel very relaxing and enjoyable.

Due to constructions in Penang, there is no longer a beach in Shangri-la.

The balconies of the adjoining rooms is quite transparent and does not allow for any privacy when sitting out.

Great option for doing nothing by a pool all day. Good dining choices and the Fitness Centre is superb!

The room is spacious and comfortable . The breakfast buffet was ok.

The check-in was taking too long.. have to wait more than 30 mins standing and only one person handling the check in despite the long queue while the other staff refuse to attend. We have to wait in line for more than 30mins just then only they serve welcome drinks. They should have a board or something stating which counter is for check in. we queue at the wrong counter 10-15mins but they didnt let us know. wasted time and have to re-queue again . Mind you this was suppose to be 5 stars right?

We upgraded the room once we got there and it was amazing. The staff were lovely, the service was amazing, the hotel was impeccable. It was the highlight of our trip.

Rooms were a bit dated, and not much beach left…so not really a swimming beach place.

De uitzicht op zee en het zwembad.

Personeel was niet goed opgeleid. Lieten veel steken vallen en staan niet klaar om je snel te helpen. Handdoeken moet je zelf halen, eten van voorgangers blijft gewoon liggen aan het zwembad. Een bestelling (eten) blijft gewoon liggen tot het koud wordt alvorens ze dit brengen. Er passeren 5 obers, kijken ernaar en toch laten ze het liggen. Dit terwijl restaurant leeg is. Redders slapen terwijl ze dienst hebben. Douchekop heel verblijf kapot en werd niet vervangen. Stopcontacten vallen eraf, opmaken van bed moet je zelf vragen. Je krijgt slechts 1 keycard voor een gezin van 4. Dit moet je alweer zelf gaan aanvragen. Ontbijt was ondermaats en heel erg druk. Avondeten buffet was allesbehalve goed en heel prijzig. Eten was koud, smaakloos, veel hetzelfde, drank moet je bijbetalen. Sorry maar dit is echt geen 5 sterren waardig!

Good location, fantastic and helpful staff, fun pool, clean rooms, great food options. Kids loved the adventure zone and breakfast buffet. Great amenities in the room and strong shower pressure. We all had a great time there.

Complaint 1: There were cigarette butts, plastic bottles and broken glass at the beach area of the garden wing. Complaint 2: Beef and lamb options at the 2 dinner buffets we ate at were low quality, hard and chewy. Not 5 star hotel quality at all. They should melt in your mouth. Suggestion: Remove instant Nescafé from rooms and put Malaysian coffee (Kopi) options which are much much better.

I absolutely loved this hotel. It was the perfect place to unwind after a busy schedule. The hospitality was exceptional, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, the gym was well-equipped, and the beautiful surroundings created a very relaxing atmosphere. The food was excellent with a great variety. I truly enjoyed every part of my stay.

ac water was leaking in the room through our stays which was very uncomfortable. complained few times and they tried to resolve even at night 11pm but couldn't. floor got flooded and used all bathroom towels. after so many complains they didnt change the room. that was horrible experience.

Fabulous location walking distance to town and very close to the Spice Garden which is highly recommended with young kids, incredible facilities, spotless and fantastic breakfast selection. The staff were wonderful

I enjoyed the breakfast, it had a good spread of varieties. The pool was nice too, shaded under the rain trees. I loved the view from our room as well, it was overlooking the sea. We noted that we were coming for our anniversary and the staff prepared a nice deco on our bed and also gave us a complimentary cake (it was delicious)

A beautiful hotel, surrounded by lush tropical gardens and two lovely landscaped pools. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The staff were so friendly and attentive and even remembered our favourite cocktails and table. Our room rate included a buffet breakfast, afternoon high tea each day and canapes and drinks before dinner. The food was very high quality and so much choice, we couldn't have asked for more. Our room attendant went to so much trouble to make us feel welcome, leaving a birthday greeting, notes and decorations for us each day. We would definitely return to this hotel.

The bed could do with a mattress topper. It was a little firmer than we're used to but overall the room was big, quiet and comfortable.

没想到rasa wing也会有临街的房型，虽然付费升级了房型，但因为只有室外泡池，不是室内浴缸，还是有些失望的。

Staff are lovely 😍 and so happy and helpful, they make the place. The gardens are stunning and immaculate. Breakfast choice was vast and of good quality in the Rasa Wing. The pool was very good and relaxing. We would definitely come back again as we had a stuning relaxing time.

The mattress was really hard, and the pillows were not brilliant. Bath towels are a little small considering a luxury hotel. Everything else was amazing. Thank you 😊

The led tv speaker burst no sound. In terms of electrical item is not in good keeping and maintenance.

Fantastic hotel. Staff were amazing, especially the manager Michelle who helped me when I accidentally booked the incorrect dates for my stay. The room we stayed in was fantastic, the pool in the rasa wing is for adults only and it was fantastic. We stayed in the garden wing for 1 night and then moved to the rasa wing. If you don’t have children with you I’d definitely recommend staying in the rasa wing over the garden wing.

My only issues were around ferrini grill. This is their fine dining restaurant. All of the staff again are fantastic, but we actually preferred the food in the main restaurant. There is nothing wrong with the food and the setting is amazing, it just isn’t anything special. We went for an evening meal one night (tried before but they wouldn’t let us in without trousers) and it was pretty good, better than the breakfast but not as good as i expected.

The location and facilities were excellent, especially the private beach, which was beautifully maintained and provided a relaxing atmosphere throughout my stay. The room was exceptionally comfortable, and I was particularly impressed by the pillow menu. Having the option to choose a pillow based on personal comfort and sleeping preferences was a thoughtful touch that enhanced the overall guest experience. The attention to detail and focus on guest comfort made the stay truly enjoyable.

I booked and fully paid for a Sea View Room, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel and travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Penang. Upon check-in, I was informed that the Sea View Room I had reserved was not available. While I appreciate the complimentary room upgrade and the additional accessibility features provided, the replacement room overlooked the parking area instead of the sea. Although the upgraded room may have offered more space or amenities, it did not deliver the key experience I had specifically paid for — the sea view. As a guest travelling to a beach resort destination, waking up to a parking lot rather than the ocean was disappointing. I appreciate the efforts of the hotel staff to provide an alternative solution, but I believe the hotel should ensure that confirmed room bookings, especially those involving specific views, are honoured whenever possible. I hope this feedback can help improve the guest experience for future visitors.

stayed in a one bedroom suite at Rasa Wing. Everything was great from the day we arrived until the day we left. The suite was spacious and snacks was replaced everyday. Six bottled of water provided in a glass bottled everyday. Love the breakfast at Spice market. The pool at Rasa Wing was great and the drinks are complimentary. No more strict dress code at the Rasa Wing Lounge

The Evening cocktail and afternoon tea can be crowded. Quantity of food served during evening cocktail can be improved. No more beach due to erosion

This resort was amazing. From tbe beautiful gardens, the large swimming pools, the friendly staff and the amazing food. I cannot fault this place at all. We travelled with our 2 kids (3.5 and 2 years old) and they thoroughly enjoyed it.

I guess the only thing would be how crowded the breakfast was (although it is school holidays so it makes sense) and limited “healthy” options.

This hotel is excellent, we stayed in the Rasa wing, the staff are top class. Hotel is in a brilliant location for rest and relaxation, but within easy reach of everywhere on the island via Grab. Rasa wing pool area amazingly relaxing. Good restaurants close by if you don’t want to eat in the hotel. Rasa wing Cocktail hour and afternoon tea worth the extra you pay to stay in the Rasa wing. Sunsets are incredible.
