The hotel is beautiful. The room was quiet, an ample size, the air conditioner worked very well and the bed was very comfortable. The entire staff was extremely attentive, helpful and made us feel like royalty. It was my twin daughter’s 37th birthdays, and several restaurants, the pool staff & DJ all did something special for them each day. We did notify the concierge several weeks in advance, and they even decorated their rooms for their birthdays. My 8 year old granddaughter loved the staff and the activities at the Kids Club. We really enjoyed the many different delicious food choices. We hired the hotel photographer and got the best family group photos and videos. At breakfast on our last day, the restaurant staff came to tell us goodbye. We didn’t tell them, but somehow they knew it was our last day. The staff at this hotel is a cut above the rest. We did not want to leave!
The tile around the pool needs attention in some spots.

An Exceptional Family Stay—The Marriott All-Inclusive Made Cancún Truly Special This was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had in Cancún. The resort is compact, cozy, well organized, exceptionally clean, and perfect for families—even when busy. Our room was spotless, the food was fresh with great variety, and the beach was constantly cleaned despite seaweed season. The entertainment team, especially *Javier and Emily, were amazing with our son and provided wonderful entertainment every day. The kids club was a true highlight: **Flesia, Ismael, Adan, Merry, and others* gave our children so much care, warmth, and attention. Our daughter’s birthday was made unforgettable with cakes, gifts, room decorations, balloons, and special touches for several days. A huge thank-you to the concierge team, especially *Diego Sanchez*, Captain Bellstand, as well as the kids club, front desk, the Organic coffee and the restaurants staff. *Chef Gustavo* was exceptional. He made excellent thin-crust pizza for us and went above and beyond by arranging freshly grilled fish for us at dinner, even when it was not on the restaurant menu. The sushi restaurant was also outstanding. The pool and beach bartenders remembered our orders, pool waiters worked nonstop, and the lazy-river and slide teams were caring and focused on children’s safety. The Organic Coffee staff were lovely with our kids, and even on departure, *Manuel* arranged a taxi to the airport at the same price as our Uber option. We have stayed at other 5 star all inclusive Cancún hotels, but there is no comparison. The genuine hospitality and attention to detail made this a truly unforgettable family vacation.
really nothing. I just wish the night bar stayed after midnight.
Very clean, new and beautiful locations
Maybe some sargazo at the beach
Hotel is schoon? Kamer schoon en netjes. Hele leuke kids club.
Keuze qua eten was erg beperkt.
The amount of lounge chairs- but the chairs that were more inland - it would be nice if they had umbrellas
The pizza at the pool- it was not horrible but it was very doughy. Did not like. Other than that the pool service, food from ceviche ría and drinks were good.
Geovany cares so much for hos guests and really wants to give them an amazing tasting drink. He is so friendly and always makes you feel like part of the marriott family. I would definitely book again just because of his excellent service and friendliness.
This was our second stay at the Marriott Cancun, and once again it exceeded our expectations. My husband and I had an amazing vacation from July 19 to July 23. As a Titanium Elite member, I was delighted to receive an upgrade to an oceanfront room. Our room was always immaculate and maintained in perfect condition throughout our stay. The food was above average for an all-inclusive resort, with plenty of delicious options. A special thank you to the incredible staff who made our vacation so memorable—and who are the main reason we will be returning. Giovanni, Miguel, and Lisandro at the adults-only swim-up bar provided exceptional service every day. They are truly tremendous assets to Marriott. Another highlight was our teppanyaki dinner. Chef Doroteo put on an amazing show, and the food was outstanding. We also loved Monday night's performance by the band "Divina Star." They were incredibly talented, energetic, and made the evening so much fun. Marriott is always my first choice, whether I'm traveling for business or on vacation. I appreciate the consistency across the brand, and I always feel comfortable and safe when traveling internationally. Experiences like this one are exactly why I continue to choose Marriott time and time again. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so special. We can't wait to come back soon!
Guess what time is a very good hotel. Very exceptional. Very good service very good food on time with everything and anything and everything that we needed they did for us. Staff amazing management. Amazing. I give this hotel 100 out of 10. Thank you so much for having us.
Pros: This resort is beautiful. I give it a 10/10 for the facilities. I want to recognize Giovanni at the front desk. He excels at hospitality. We arrived late around 7 PM on a Sunday, and Giovanni checked us in. We were exhausted, but he was cheerful, made us very happy, and made us feel welcomed. Hugo was our bellman, and he was also cheerful and friendly. The moment you arrive, they run to your car and help with your luggage, open the doors for you, making you feel special. Excellent service upon arrival. The service staff work hard and always try their best. We want to shout out to Antonio at Mikado Teppanyaki; Joel, Jose, and Adrian at Casa Madre; Alejandro, the poolside waiter. They all work very hard and nonstop, managing to keep smiles on their faces. We believe they deserve recognition. We stayed in two oceanfront connecting rooms. We requested a rollaway bed, which fit perfectly for our 6-year-old. We loved the room; very spacious for a family. They have an adult pool, which is soundproof from the family pool. We could hardly hear any noise when walking by the adult pool. My husband had a massage, and he said it was fantastic. Cons: There is a lack of entertainment from Sunday to Wednesday. We stayed for six nights and were bored for four nights by 8 pm. The only entertainment was a live band, which the kids were not interested in. We suggest adding more family activities, as many guests have kids. Please consider adding a stage to the main lobby area and hosting more big shows like Michael Jackson tribute acts or fire shows, similar to other resorts. The nightly rate suggests a higher-end experience, but entertainment options are lacking. The two main shows on Thursday and Friday are a magic show and an African acrobatic dance show. There are not enough seats; many families had to stand or find their own chairs. There is clearly a demand for a proper stage. Additionally, please add an arcade room. We were bored trying to find things to do around 4 PM and at night. We were disappointed to find that Champions Sports Bar and the arcade were gone. There are many families with little kids and teenagers who would really enjoy this. Overall, five stars because it's a beautiful resort. My kids and elderly parents had a great time. We will return, but please consider adding more large-scale nighttime shows. Live bands are more suited for adults.
The staff was excellent and food I loved this hotel.
We absolutely love this resort! This is now the second time we’ve stayed, as our first time was amazing as well. Everything is so clean, food is amazing, and most importantly- the staff go above and beyond for the guests to have the best experience possible. We celebrated my birthday here and the adult pool bartenders, Miguel and Lizandro, made me feel so special!! They made sure we had delicious drinks the whole time! Another very honorable mention were both Gabriel and Josue. They provided us excellent service during our dining experiences and truly went the extra mile for our family. We will definitely be back and hope to see all these friendly faces
This is my fifth stay at this Marriott property having spent time with my entire family twice when it was the Mariott Casa MAGA Resort, and then again for my 25th & 35th wedding anniversaries, this time for a milestone birthday. The addition of the “Marriott Experience” App (available for I-Phone and Android users) makes navigating nation the myriad of restaurants and menus easy. Room Service menus are on the App but you still have to call to order—a bit antiquated and I expect that feature to be added! Nightly entertainment and tremendous cocktails in the Great Room is a must do along with various nightly entertainment/activities including a casino night! The property has enough cuisine options for a stay that you can vary from traditional Mexican (Casa Madre) and American (Organic & Co., Mo’s Burgers, Champions restaurants, to Japanese and Polynesian (Mikado Teppanyaki, Kasai & Hana Polynesian Grill) or Mediterranean— Greek (Delphina) or Italian (Toscanni) also. And within some you can vary from fine dining to “fast food” styles, e.g, three options for pizza (750 Pizzeria, Pizzeria by La Isla & Organic), a taco bar featuring other delicious locally sourced dishes (Botanika by La Isla), and Ceviches at Cevicheria. All of the restaurants, their menus and hours of operations plus reservation links are available on the App. There were staff members who provided EXCEPTIONAL service and made this a remarkable experience: JULIO PEREZ, the Executive Sous Chef, Israel the Manager of Restaurants, and wait staff/hostesses Gerardo, Izamar, Julissa, Adrian & Antonio—AND THE ENTIRE FRONT DESK STAFF!!!!! Marriott All Inclusive Cancun Resort I only have one negative—why build a kids pool if you allow the kids to use the regular pool without adult supervision! Suggestion—CHANGE POLICY! Require adult supervision at all times!
I don't write reviews very often, but this experience deserved one. My family and I stayed at the resort from Monday, July 13, through Friday afternoon. This was my second trip to Mexico, and once again the kindness and hospitality of the Mexican people stood out. Since this review is about the resort, I'll focus on that. From the moment we pulled up to the entrance, we were treated exceptionally well. I've stayed at hotels in several countries, so I can usually tell the difference between people simply doing their jobs and people who genuinely care. The staff here truly cared about making our stay special. The resort itself was beautiful. Everything was clean, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxing. I traveled with my wife, our two children, my mother, both of my sisters, my brother-in-law, and my young nephew. The kids were born around the same time of year, so we decided to celebrate their birthdays together during our vacation. During check-in, we mentioned where we were from and that we were celebrating the kids' birthdays. We stayed in rooms 6053, 6054, and 6055, and we rented two pool cabanas for the week so our whole family could spend time together. On our second day, the staff surprised us by decorating our cabana with balloons and birthday cards for the kids. It was completely unexpected and such a thoughtful gesture. The pool staff also took great care of us all week. They paid close attention to our food allergies, made sure we always had what we needed, and even set up a fun photo board by the pool and took family pictures for us. Those little moments made a big difference. A special thank you to Niomi at the front desk, who welcomed us with genuine warmth from the beginning. She made us feel right at home. I also want to recognize the incredible pool staff: Joel Aguilar, Felicia, Pablo, Fernando, Anny, Mario, Cesar, Abraham, Jose, Gisel, Nomínate, Valeria, Jesús, and Héctor. Every one of them was friendly, patient, attentive, and professional. They made us feel like royalty. What impressed me even more was watching them remain calm, respectful, and professional even when a few guests were rude to them. That says a lot about the people working here. One thing that really surprised us was the Kids Club. At first, we were a little hesitant about leaving the kids there, but after the first day, they couldn't wait to go back. Every day they came back excited, talking about the games they played and proudly showing us the crafts they had made. It felt like they were at summer camp while we had time to relax, which was a win for everyone. Before we left, I told my family that I don't need to keep searching for our next family vacation spot. We already found it. We'll definitely be back. If you're looking for a place where you can truly relax, enjoy quality time with your family, and be treated with genuine kindness by people who care about your experience, I highly recommend this resort. Our vacation created memories we'll never forget, and that's something you can't put a price on.
The service were EXCEPTIONAL!! Great customer services, top-notch, and actively working to address any concerns!! However, at Dinner time, please, I would advise you to make a reservation that’s the best way to actually have a great meal. Breakfast was good, same menu don’t expect any changes(but many varieties!) However, the price didn’t reflect the meal on menu in my opinion!!
The facilities has some restaurants that wasn’t open on certain days, and the lunch menu were a struggle. Breakfast and dinner I couldn’t complain but lunch were a game changer for some reason!!
Took my wife, 12 year old daughter and 6 year old son to this all inclusive resort. This is our 3rd Mexico vacation and this was by far the best. From the time our Bell Attendant Gustavo opened the door and brought are luggage to the room till the time we went to check out the experience was phenomenal. Check in was a breeze the lobby staff was awesome, you always felt welcome when you walked through there. Shout out to are bar tenders and servers, Jose at Pizzeria By Isla was totally over the top! Are pool and beach servers Antonio and Francisco never missed a beat very on top of it. Can’t forget the fellas at the Lobby Bar Enrique and Lorenzo definitely recommend the sunset drink, my wife was a huge fan. The Restaurant Manager Angel was very accommodating when we wanted to change are dinner reservation and add another family to it that we met. Truthfully every worker deserves recognition I just couldn’t remember everyone’s name! On to the food! We thought the food was amazing for an all inclusive. Kids loved the ice cream and all the grab and go stuff. We have definitely ate are fare share of pizza while we were there. Housekeeping was awesome always made are room look brand new everyday shout out to Nora for that! Bottle water is available but we mostly refilled our bottles from the FILTERED water refill stations. Location was about a 20 minute drive from the Airport, the hotel sent a recommendation email to use Prestige Cancún. Very simple no hassle’s. Best part is you’re right across the road from a gas station, Pharmacy and McDonald’s 7 minute walk and yes the walk is safe if you have some common sense. There was some seaweed but it didn’t bother us at all. Basically if you’re looking for a great place to have a Family Vakay, this place is it. We’re definitely going back we were more than satisfied Thanks Marriott Cancun All Inclusive Resort for making are vacation a wonderful and memorable experience. P.S. Tip your staff! The folks work hard to make your stay amazing.
EL HOTEL ES BONITO Y EL SERVICIO EN GENERAL ES BUENO.
QUE NO TENGA BUFET PARA ALMUERZO Y CENA Y QUE 16:30 YA EMPIECEN A SACAR LAS SILLAS Y SOBRILLA DE PLAYA.
We had an amazing stay! This resort is only about 15 minutes from the airport and the ferry station, making it incredibly convenient. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and offered beautiful view options. The all-inclusive package was an incredible value. It included just about everything, with the exception of premium meats and top-shelf alcoholic beverages. The variety of restaurants and food was outstanding, and every meal exceeded our expectations. What truly made this resort special was the staff. Every employee greeted us with a smile, asked if we needed anything, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The only suggestion I have is that the pool water was very warm. On hot summer days, cooler water would be much more refreshing. Overall, this resort offers amazing service, delicious food, a convenient location, and excellent value for the price. It’s truly a great bang for your buck, and we can’t wait to return!
Staff are organize, friendly and welcoming!
The seaweeds on the Beach. Its all over the Cancun though
This resort hit all needs of a resort without being unmanageably complicated as others. Everything was reachable easily Suites were beautiful, clean very pleasant to hang in. Lobby spacious impressive with couple of stores a bakery mo s burger The openness of resort gave a nice airy feeling with good landscaping in atriumlike areas. Gym was solid ! lots of equipment and a small enclosed area for mat work etc All staff were exceptionally professional and pleasant trying to accommodate all needs. We had 2 babies with us. We did not see anyone not go out of their ways to make our stay pleasant. Very impressed. Pool area is nice we rented cabanas which was great especially if you have babies gave them space to crawl around. pool is deep enough to do some laps probably around 4 feet ? Due to seaweed and a little rough sea we were not able to enjoy the beach as much but adults went and forma daily dip - guess it is the season for the seaweed There were activities ( and a dj) during the day around pool area which kept things lively without being too intrusive. There was live entertainment at nights - a sax player one night at lobby bar area, acrobats - 4th of july impressive aqua show magician … The entertainment Lead? Alex and his team were great with his wonderful energy and obvious love of people . he was leading most activities aquabike was surprisingly challenging ! All restaurants were wonderful my lunch go to. was cevicheria. The kids loved the kids club they even had a pj party. Bonus was we were able to see sea turtles come to shore to lay eggs and saw how the eggs were taken out the next day to be placed to fenced areas - turtle farms so they are not destroyed Overall great experience and our group ages 6 months tp 64 years old were very happy.
A equipe!!!
Te super, nada a reclamar !
The hotel conversion to all inclusive was probably a mistake, as it doesn't seem to be able to handle it. All of the staff dont seem to have a full understanding of what it is, however all of them were super nice and helpful. Also the hotel had constant conventions or some corporate groups where you come to vacation with family and it's full of drinking men which was not helpful to the limited space. Also the beach is there however not really usable as it it literally had 1 umbrella and barely maybe 20 chairs and if you think you can get one from the pool think again as the pool did not have enough either. The situation with people reserving chairs at 6 am was not helpful either. Would not go back.
Friendly and helpful staff (especially Gustavo at the entrance), excellent food with various choices, beautiful location, wonderful view from the room... so much relaxing!!!!
We stayed and Marriot Cancun, everything was amazing! Especially thanks to Giovanni for the best Margartia cocktail in the resort!
We truly enjoyed our recent stay at the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive resort. Our room was spacious (with a great view of the ocean), the pool area was great and the food was excellent. Our dinners at the Japanese restaurant and the Mediterranean themed restaurant on the beach were great. The breakfast buffet included a Mexican themed section and had a vast majority of choices of everything you could possibly want. Lunch had many choices as well. The most important part of our stay was the staff at the Marriott. Everyone we met was fabulous. They were all very helpful and conscientious. A special thank you to Enrique and Jhoan who made excellent cocktails and mocktails at the lobby bar. We also appreciated the entertainment that was scheduled each night. Thank you for the room upgrade (Marriott rewards program)! We look forward to our net stay.
Roberto, Valletia, Alexis were the best emcees! They were funny, wanted everyone to join, and added to the overall experience!!!
Location and great service
There was a bathroom ceiling leak on the second day of my stay. Water was all over the bathroom floor but maintenance came to clean shortly after I notified them
We absolutely loved our stay at the Cancun Marriott! This is definitely not your typical all-inclusive resort. The service was exceptional, the property was spotless, and every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We traveled with our 4- and 6-year-old daughters, as well as my brother and sister-in-law, for a family member birthday and there was truly something for everyone to enjoy. The resort struck the perfect balance of being lively and entertaining without ever feeling crowded or overwhelming like many all-inclusive properties can. A special thank you to Fernando and Abel, who took outstanding care of us at the pool and beach every day. Reserving a pool and beach cabana was absolutely worth the extra cost and made our experience even more relaxing and enjoyable. The evening events were a highlight of our trip and added a fun, vibrant atmosphere to the resort each night. We also loved the Kids Club. The daily pool activities kept our girls entertained, and the evening programs were perfect—giving Mom and Dad an hour to enjoy a cocktail together before dinner while the kids had a great time. What truly set this resort apart was the personalized service. Every day we were greeted by staff members who remembered us from different areas of the hotel, making us feel genuinely valued as guests. Antonio was always a delight to see at dinner and consistently provided outstanding service. From start to finish, everything about our stay exceeded expectations. We loved every aspect of this resort and would not hesitate to return. Highly recommended for couples, families, and groups alike!
From Canavan’s Family: We stayed at the Marriott All Inclusive hotel in Cancun from May 31 through June 8, and we could not have been more pleased with the hotel staff. From the day we arrived until the day we checked out, everyone was kind, professional, and eager to help. However, we would like to recognize a few exceptional employees who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and who consistently accommodated our dietary preferences and special requests: Jesús Roque • Rogelio Dias (Pool Manager) • Marco Zeferino • Alan Rivera • Gabriela “Gabi” Hernández • Dulce López • Víctor Pulga • William Feria • Alberto Callejas (Chef) • Flavio González (Kitchen Supervisor) • Albert Márquez (Specialty Chef) • Leonardo Ruiz • Adrian Del Valle • Jesús Gutiérrez • Liliana Orozco • Itzel Castillo • Antonio Palé • Odalys Castillo • Gustavo Villamil (Chef de Cuisine) • Julio Pérez (Executive Chef) .Tzitzi Salmeron . Dulce Alcudia We would like to express our sincere gratitude to these professionals. Their outstanding service, attention to detail, genuine kindness, and dedication made a remarkable difference throughout our stay. Team members like them transform a great hotel stay into a truly memorable experience. We hope they receive the recognition they deserve for their exceptional work and commitment to guest satisfaction. We would also like to offer a few suggestions that we hope will be considered to make future guests’ stays even more enjoyable, particularly regarding the hotel’s facilities and overall environment. The restrooms, both inside the guest rooms and throughout the resort, need better accessibility. The toilet areas do not have safety grab bars, which are important for guests with m mi obility limitations. The pool area does not have an accessible restroom nearby. The only restroom requires guests to go downstairs, and guests coming from the beach area must first go upstairs and then downstairs to access it. This is inconvenient and difficult, especially for those with mobility challenges. The pool bar does not open until 10:30 a.m. Guests using the pool area earlier in the morning do not have access to drinking water. Providing coolers with bottled water around the pool area before the bar opens would be greatly appreciated. There are no outdoor showers near the pool area. These would be helpful for guests returning from the beach or wishing to rinse off before entering the pool. The area used for evening shows and entertainment is too small and does not comfortably accommodate the number of guests attending. The variety and quality of the entertainment could be improved. More diverse activities and performances would enhance the overall guest experience. To create a more enjoyable and welcoming atmosphere, it would be appreciated to have music playing throughout the common areas of the resort, including the pool and beach areas. Background music would contribute to a more vibrant vacation experience. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and greatly appreciated the dedication of the staff. We hope these suggestions will be taken into consideration, as they would further improve comfort, accessibility, and enjoyment for future guests. Thank you for a wonderful vacation experience.
Highly recommend reading this review before booking. I'm honestly surprised by the number of 5-star reviews that don't mention the property's overall condition and management issues. I'll start by saying that most of the staff were excellent. The only negative interaction we had was with one employee at the Italian restaurant, which I'll address later. This review is not about the staff as a whole—it's about the property itself and the lack of management oversight. For a Marriott-branded resort, this property falls far below the standards I would expect, especially as a Marriott member. One of the biggest frustrations was the constant upselling. We've stayed at more than 20 all-inclusive resorts and have never been approached so frequently to purchase extras. On our fourth day alone, we were asked seven separate times by the pool if we wanted to buy coconut water. They also try to entice children with extra-cost activities like pizza-making classes and specialty drinks served in coconuts. For an all-inclusive resort, the amount of additional sales pressure was excessive. The "water park" was extremely disappointing. My daughter is a tall 5-year-old and was still about three inches too short to use the slides. The lazy river is actually just a very small circular loop, and children who don't meet the height requirement must ride in an adult's lap. Calling this a water park is misleading—it's essentially two slides and a tiny lazy river where you're required to stay in an inner tube the entire time. The condition of the property itself was disappointing. The main pool area was visibly deteriorating, with black mold and algae present in multiple areas. There was peeling and missing paint, crumbling exterior surfaces, and numerous missing tiles throughout the pool. Several sections appeared to have been patched with light pink plaster in what looked like temporary "band-aid" repairs attempting to hold deteriorating concrete together. The entire area looked neglected and poorly maintained. Beyond being an eyesore, it raised concerns about safety and upkeep. For a property carrying the Marriott name, this level of visible deterioration falls well below the standards I would expect. The rooms were another issue. The air conditioning is capped at a certain temperature, and the rooms became noticeably warm at night. On our second day, staff entered the room around 1:00 p.m. to check fire alarms while my children were napping. During the nap, the fire alarm unexpectedly went off, startling everyone. When we left the room, we were simply told it was part of a test. On day three, despite having the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, staff rang the bell and then entered before I had enough time to answer. My children and I were asleep at the time. Respecting guest privacy should be a basic expectation. There are only two elevators. We stayed for a full week and only one elevator worked the entire time. There also was a broken hanging sign that was in the hallway. Food Breakfast Buffet – 3/10 Average hotel buffet food. Nothing memorable. Mexican Restaurant – 2/10 Very mediocre and disappointing. Teppanyaki – 7/10 Probably our best overall meal during the stay. Poolside Food – 6/10 The cheeseburgers were good. The taco meat was overcooked, and the queso tasted like it came straight from a can. Italian Restaurant – 9/10 The best restaurant on the property. Champions Sports Bar – 0/10 The service was excellent, but the food made my husband extremely sick, and the rest of us didn't enjoy our meals. The atmosphere around the pools was also frustrating. The DJs were loud and constant. At one point, they ran bingo for nearly two hours with only a couple of participants. Aside from the adults-only pool, there is essentially one main pool for everyone, and even the adult pool wasn't particularly peaceful. If you're looking for a relaxing, quiet resort experience, this probably isn't the place for you. The cabanas are an additional charge, and they're not worth it. Many appeared dirty and in poor condition. They also block views around the pool area. We stayed seven nights and never saw a single guest using them. They felt more like an eyesore than an amenity. Italian Restaurant Experience Our reservation was at 8:45 p.m., but we arrived at 8:22 p.m. because we had been told they would try to seat us early if possible. The hostess, Jacobed, was far from welcoming. She rolled her eyes when she saw the time and informed us we would need to wait until our reservation time. Waiting wasn't the issue—her attitude was. Then, at 8:50 p.m., she approached us and called out a completely different name. My husband and I both said it wasn't us. She began walking away, and my husband asked if she meant "Longmire." She let out a dramatic sigh, rolled her eyes, and said yes. Had this been a one-time interaction, I wouldn't mention it. However, after multiple rude interactions, it stood out enough to include in this review. Hospitality employees don't have to be overly cheerful, but basic courtesy and professionalism should be expected. Another strange aspect of the resort is their use of hawks to deter birds. Despite this, there were still plenty of birds in the outdoor dining areas. The hawks are tethered to handlers and kept in wooden crates when not in use. Even as someone who isn't particularly passionate about birds, it was uncomfortable and sad to see. We also experienced billing issues during our stay. Due to what management described as a system "glitch," our credit card was charged approximately $500 per day, with one charge reaching nearly $2,000. The charges were eventually refunded, but guests should monitor their credit card statements carefully. Families with young children should also know that daytime naps can be difficult. Between staff entering rooms, fire alarm testing, maintenance work, loud conversations in the hallways, and general noise throughout the property, it was nearly impossible for our children to nap consistently. To make matters worse, our room was located next to a utility closet. On our final night, employees were loudly moving equipment and shouting back and forth around 9:30 p.m. For families with young children trying to sleep, this was incredibly frustrating. Overall, while most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the property itself suffers from poor management, excessive upselling, noise issues, maintenance disruptions, billing problems, and amenities that do not live up to their advertising. The deteriorating condition of the pool areas and common spaces was especially disappointing and far below what I expect from a Marriott property. Unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing all-inclusive resort experiences we've had.
⭐️⭐️ (2/5) - Dissappointing Stay: Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive Urgently Needs an Overhaul and Attention to Detail As a loyal brand supporter, I expected the typical Marriott standard of excellence, but our recent stay at the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive was highly disappointing. This property is in desperate need of a major physical overhaul, and the lack of basic maintenance and attention to detail is glaringly obvious. For a premium all-inclusive resort, the experience simply does not match the price tag. 🛑 Property Conditions & Maintenance Failures The property feels run-down and neglected, with several safety and aesthetic issues that are impossible to ignore: Severe Elevator Outage: For our entire one-week stay, there was only one elevator in operation. Waiting for the elevator became a daily frustration, and seeing the permanent "Fuera de Servicio" (Out of Service) sign taped to the doors just highlighted the lack of urgency to fix it. Pool and Water Feature Deterioration: The pool areas are showing alarming signs of wear. The pool tiles are covered in thick, unsightly white calcium buildup and scaling, with chunks of grout missing entirely. Sloppy Patch Jobs: Instead of proper repairs, someone did a incredibly messy, unprofessional patch job with mismatched brown caulking/silicone along the stone pool coping. It looks incredibly cheap and unpolished. Debris and Structural Disrepair: The stone water feature is chipped, missing tiles in the reservoir, and we frequently spotted trash, like a floating plastic bottle, left uncleaned. Even the pool skimmers and filters had visible grime and wear around the edges. Dirty Amenities: Every single day, the outdoor lounge chairs and umbrellas were dirty and covered in bird poop. They were clearly not being wiped down or pressured-washed between guests. 🥥 Aggressive Upselling & Entrapment Tactics The "all-inclusive" vibe was constantly interrupted by aggressive upselling. Every day, we were approached on the property to buy extra items, such as fresh coconut water. What made this worse was the deceptive tactic used by the Marriott staff: they would target and entice our kids first, asking them if they wanted a fun coconut to drink from. Naturally, the kids said yes, only for us to be informed afterward that it was an extra charge of $12 per coconut. Resort staff should not be using entrapment tactics on children to guilt parents into paying out of pocket. ✂️ Disappointing Checkout Policy The lack of hospitality was emphasized at the very end of our trip. Upon checkout, we were told we had to have our all-inclusive wristbands cut off immediately. We were strictly informed that we could no longer enjoy the food or beverage amenities while we sat in the lobby waiting for our airport transport. To cut off a guest's access to hospitality the second they check out of a room is incredibly petty and leaves a terrible final impression. Final Verdict The hard-working floor staff are doing what they can, but management is failing this property. Between the broken infrastructure, subpar cleanliness, constant upselling, and unwelcoming checkout policies, this resort needs an immediate management intervention and a complete physical renovation before it can truly call itself a premium all-inclusive experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere in Cancun until a total overhaul is completed. The only reason I am rating the hotel a 2 is because the service staff were very sweet and the service was good. Food was just average.

I liked that it was spacious and great views
The staff at reception, one lift not working at all, poor quality food at the Mo’s, ice cream machine not working for 4 days in a row, drinking from worn down plastic glasses at the pool
Our family recently stayed at the Marriott All-Inclusive Resort in Cancun, and we had an absolutely amazing time from start to finish. My parents treated us to this trip, and it couldn’t have been a better place for a family getaway. One of the things we loved most about this resort is its size. It’s not overly large, which makes it incredibly easy to get around and meet up with everyone without constantly feeling like you’re walking forever. Everything is conveniently located, yet it never feels crowded. The property itself is spotless. Every area from the rooms to the pool to the restaurants is extremely clean and well maintained. The staff is truly what sets this resort apart. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our stay special. A highlight for me personally was when my husband mentioned at check-in that it was my birthday. The hotel surprised me by sending a beautiful piece of cake to our room along with a thoughtful note. Every morning we ate at the breakfast buffet at Casa Madre, where we met Victoriano, a waiter who has been with the resort for 35 years. He was incredible, so attentive and genuinely interested in getting to know us. You can tell he truly takes pride in what he does. The pool and beach staff were equally wonderful. A special thank you to Abel, Victor, Jesus, Fernando, and Maria. These individuals work incredibly hard in the heat, constantly checking on guests, bringing drinks and food, and doing it all with a smile. Their service was exceptional. If you’re planning a trip, I highly recommend bringing small bills, singles, fives, and tens, as it can be difficult to get change, and these hardworking staff members absolutely deserve to be tipped. The resort also offers nightly entertainment, which is fun and very family-friendly. Just keep in mind that things wind down a bit early (around 10:00 p.m.), though 24-hour room service is available if you’re looking for something later in the evening. One thing to note is that there are quite a few steps throughout the property, which may be challenging for guests with mobility issues as it was for my mother, who has knee trouble. Overall, this resort is a perfect destination for a relaxing family vacation. Between the incredible staff, beautiful setting, delicious food, and welcoming atmosphere, it’s a place we would absolutely return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind, enjoy great service, and experience all that Cancun has to offer.
TL;DR: A drunk guest kicked and banged on our door at 7am, security took over 15 mins to respond, and the hotel never bothered to follow up. Food quality has fallen off a cliff. Certain guests received multiple drink refills throughout dinner while we and another guest sat with empty glasses despite repeated eye contact with staff. Our first stay (September 2024) was a 10/10. This one (May 2026), after five straight days of disappointments? Never again. From a returning guest who won’t be returning again. We stayed here in September 2024, right after the reopening, and loved it — the food, staff, atmosphere, everything. We promised ourselves we’d come back. We did. Five days later, we wish we hadn’t. Security & Noise This trip was different. A guest started loudly talking on his phone outside our room at 5am, then at 7am began yelling, knocking on, and kicking our door. We called the front office, and it took more than 15 minutes for someone to respond. We watched through the peephole as security eventually escorted him away. No one from the hotel ever came to explain what happened. We had to go down to the front desk ourselves just to get a basic “sorry, drunk guest, wrong room.” The couple above us later told us they had called security twice themselves, had the entire incident on video, and were ignored long enough that they personally asked the guest to quiet down. He didn’t. They were concerned enough to come downstairs and knock on our door to make sure we were okay. They were shocked when we told them the hotel never followed up. Three separate calls from guests before anyone responded, and not a single follow-up from hotel management afterward. Food & Service The food quality has fallen off dramatically since our last visit. One of the two breakfast buffets is closed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The one that remains open is underwhelming. Portion sizes across multiple restaurants have noticeably shrunk, and asking for additional food often feels like you’re inconveniencing the staff. The sushi at Mikado is mostly rice. At Hana Polynesian, we waited 15 minutes for dessert until we flagged down a manager directly. The dessert arrived within a minute. Draw your own conclusions. Last night at the teppanyaki restaurant was the perfect ending to a disappointing trip. Nearly every other guest received two or three drink refills throughout dinner. Our glasses sat empty, and we weren’t the only ones. Another guest beside us experienced the same thing. Meanwhile, the rest of the table was continuously topped off without even asking. We made eye contact with staff multiple times. Nothing. We can’t say for certain why we were repeatedly overlooked while other guests continued receiving attentive service, but after watching it happen throughout the entire meal, it was difficult not to wonder whether something else was at play. Pool bar drinks were also consistently weak. We had much better luck ordering directly from the bartender than through waitstaff. Miscellaneous One of the two elevators was out of service for our entire stay. To be fair, the pool activities were fun, the rooms and restrooms were clean, and there were genuinely kind staff members throughout the resort. The door staff, in particular, were excellent. This isn’t a place without positives. It’s just that the gaps have become too large to ignore. We came back because our first stay was so good. That made this experience all the more disappointing. There are too many great resorts in Cancun to spend your money on one that seems to be moving in the wrong direction.
The restaurant staff were very friendly and went back and forth. And they were able to get us an avocado and some hot milk. Surprisingly, there are no raw avocados in any of the restaurants. The hotel offers really great room service. There’s a large selection of food, and it’s free. It actually takes less time than going down to the restaurant and wait for serving or serving yourself.
It’s not stroller or handicap-friendly. There’s a lack of elevators and convenient paths to the restaurants. Only stairs. It’s ridiculous. A full-size crib is not actually a full-size crib. It’s a baby crib. The hotel beach always has waves, and there are no breakwaters. We had to go to a different beach to swim safely with a child.
Everything accept the ridiculous lack of sunbeds and management of them
Sunbeds were lacking. Americans rude, taking everything. Selfish and completely unmanaged by hotel. Poor poor poor and let's down this great hotel. Will never go back bevause of this and cant recommend. Imagine having no beds to relax on, then when one is gifted to you by hotel staff its broken. Shocking and utterly poor.
A very large balcony overlooking the the Caribbean
Perfect…. Adult pool loungers fill VERY fast!!
This will probably be my permanent destination for all my future trips. Everything was perfect. The food variety is the best I’ve experienced out of all All-Inclusive hotels I’ve stayed . The food quality as well. You may need 10 days to taste everything that it offers. The staff is absolutely phenomenal, so well trained, polite and resourceful. Also the cleanliness. The clean all facilities all the time and it’s impeccable. It’s right on the beach, the pools are great, the gym is great, wifi is very strong even at the beach. 11/10
The only thing is indoor entertainment for kids during the evening or on a rainy day. Some arcades could help.
Staff, breakfast and dinner.
Lunch, there is nothing much to eat. At 7 am all the seats around the pool is already reserved with guest towels. Need more entertainment in the evening.
LA PLAYA Y ATENCION
LOS ALIMENTOS
the staff was amazing! we traveled with two little kids, with food allergies, and we got the best service ever!
that there is only one pool.
Food, staff, convenience, location, views
Needs more activities
Very big
No place at the pool or beach . No seats
Overall Amazing Experience! The food was excellent, the staff was so kind & helpful - they catered to our every need. They have activities throughout the day & have amazing amenities - such a great place to take family.
The Staff and Location.
The food felt very short. Myself and family are more out than enjoy the food at the hotel. When McDonalds beats the hotel burger enough is said.
Nothing
Everything Bad staff Not friendly Dirty NOT kids friendly
My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and time here. It was our first time ever doing an all inclusive as a family and my expectations were pretty low (not for this particular resort but just all inclusive in general), but they were far surpassed. The pro’s: - Property is nicely kept up, clean, pools and beach are great. - Food quality was way better than I would have guessed for an all inclusive. It wasn’t like elite fine dining level, but every restaurant we ate at was good. Mexican/Hibachi/Italian/“Mediteranean”/Ceviche - all solid. - Drinks were solid, we had the premium bar and did have to ask for premium spirits, but they weren’t watered down, and were well made 90% of the time - The STAFF - truly made the vacation so nice. They were all so genuinely friendly, helpful, etc. By far the nicest and best staff/service of anywhere I’ve ever been. Cons - Full size beds are pretty small for two people - typical resort complaints about guests hoarding chairs they aren’t using and the race to get reservations for restaurants was a little annoying
My friend and I stayed here, and it was a horrible experience from start to finish. There wasn’t even a phone in the room, so I had to call from my own phone every time, which wasn’t a huge issue, but it took forever to confirm our room number due to ongoing problems. - I visited the front desk multiple times, but they never fixed our issue. The entire stay felt overrated and disappointing. - I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, and I definitely won’t be coming back.
The resort is nice enough. Italian dinner was meh but service was great (appetizers were better than entrees). The absolute worst part of this whole thing is the hunger games chair situation. Management makes you sign a paper saying chairs only at 7am otherwise items will be cleared. This is not adhered to at all!! By 5:30 am chairs are completely claimed by towels and items. Some people saying by 445 they're all taken. The pool guys are helpful but the resort is at 95-98% capacity and people are vultures for chairs. Between this and getting dinner reservations, it's really put a huge damper on a "relaxing" vacay. Also in the rooms that adjoin to other rooms, you can hear everything from the other room (bring a noise machine if you sleep with one!), including seeing the light from the next room over under the door (hence the sound traveling also). Pray you don't get stuck next to screamers! Day two of the trip and so far the stress of not having a place to sit and dinner reservations has been a huge damper. Management needs to take control of the chair situation but no one seems willing--don't make us sign something if you're not gonna enforce it, at all.
Just finished eight nights here, the hotel that's a very friendly staff, most of which speak english. We dined at every restaurant at least once and the attention to detail in there restaurants was top-notch, especially when considering it is all inclusive. They still put great detail in plating the food and the chefs there all seem to know their business. The pool area is exactly how most reviews state, we secured pool chairs on the adult side at about 6:00 a.m. to make sure we could get a spot. My only real complaint would be the size of the Resort and the lack of entertainment. Between eating and sitting near the pool there is not much left without going outside of the resort and paying extra fees. In hindsight, I would probably stay about six nights rather than eight. Don't hesitate to book your stay here.
Our room had a beautiful beach view. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast at Hana was amazing with tons of choices
Things I wish our room had; fan in the bathroom, towel hooks in bathroom, more outlets throughout the room, more mirrors. Room had a small table and only one chair. The nightly entertainment was good but we were disappointed on Casino night several children were at the tables. I feel like this should be adult only. Also, lots of children in the hot tub swimming around and splashing. Hot tub should be a relaxing place.
Rooms, facilities, staff
How popular Hotel is during spring break
We enjoyed the stay Really nice staff!!Love it
Big problem with lounge chars you have to wake up at 6 am to try to reserve one , otherwise you dont have a place to chill . That’s very dissappinting
It’s a newer facility. Well maintained. Beautiful grounds. Beachfront.

First off our overall experience was great at the Marriott Cancun. We’ve been to plenty of All Inclusives and this ranks right up there. The food was plentiful and there were many options. The reviews below complaining about the food must have crazy high expectations regarding All Inclusive. Breakfast at Casa Madre was the best and had plenty of options. For Lunch the stone oven pizza, to the taco stand to even the chicken tenders for the kids were great. Was never disappointed. For dinner my fav was the Teppanyaki. As for the rest it’s pretty much standard for All Inclusives. Not great but avg. The staff and service were great. If you tipped the staff always made sure you were taken care of. It goes a long way to making your experience better. But even if you didn’t they were always a pleasure. The best part of this family resort was the kids club. Unbelievable, we didn’t realize until our arrival about the kids club and we checked it out. Our daughter always wanted to spend time in there building crafts etc. Always activities planned great for kids 4-10. They would call or text you if your child wanted to leave. Great overall experience. Rooms were great and the views even better. Service overall was 10/10. The only complaint I agree with below was the chair situation. It’s like the Hunger Games. I’ve never seen anything like it before at an all inclusive. People up at like 4am-6am reserving chairs. That definitely needs to be fixed. We had a view overlooking the ocean as well as the whole area below and I would see people up early reserving loungers. Ridiculous. Besides that great overall trip, my wife loved the cafe. Good coffee
We had a wonderful stay at the Marriott Cancun All-Inclusive with our family (kids ages 6 and 3). Easy 5 stars and honestly, the staff alone made the trip. Everyone was incredibly attentive, especially at the pool and throughout the resort. We also had a small booking issue, and it was resolved quickly and smoothly with no hassle. A special shoutout to Enrique, Jasson, and Lorenzo at the main lobby bar. They went above and beyond every day. They were so accommodating with our kids, and when I asked my 6-year-old his favorite part of the trip, he said it was the special decorated drink Enrique made just for him.. twice.
The staff were the best part of the resort in my opinion. Great location.
Not enough water slides or pools. Coffee not served until 6:00; if you’re an early bird like me was disappointing. Didn’t love making reservations for dinner. If you are not on top of it you will be left with very late reservation times. Only buffet is at breakfast. Gym doesn’t open until 6:00.
We are currently on day 3 of our stay, and unfortunately, this has not been the experience we expected from a Marriott all-inclusive. Check-in took way too long, although I will say the gentleman who helped us was very kind and professional. The biggest issue has been seating. If you want a lounge chair by the pool or beach, be prepared to set an alarm for 5:00 AM—because by 6:30 AM, everything is already “reserved” with random items. The frustrating part is that many of these chairs sit unused for hours, while other guests walk around endlessly trying to find a place to sit. On our first day, I spent over an hour searching for a chair with no luck. I finally found an open cabana, but to use it, I had to scan a QR code and pay around $250. The QR code didn’t work. I asked multiple staff members for help, and after being told to wait for a manager, I stood there for 40 minutes—and no one ever came. At that point, I had spent nearly 1 hour and 40 minutes just trying to find somewhere to relax. The following days, I had no choice but to wake up early just to secure seating—which is not how anyone wants to spend their vacation. A suggestion to management: there are plenty of staff members around, but they are not being utilized effectively. Instead of having multiple DJs, why not assign staff to monitor chair usage? If chairs are left unattended for over 1–2 hours, there should be a system to free them up for other guests. Another major issue is dining. Dinner reservations must be made the day before through an app, and if you miss that window, you’re out of luck. This became a problem for us when we arrived late—we had no dining options and had to rely on room service. Unfortunately, room service was extremely disappointing. One day, our order never arrived—even after 6 hours. When we tried again, the food that did come was incomplete and cold. I would not recommend relying on room service at all. We also had an issue with our room. We paid for an upgrade but were initially placed in a room with a bathroom issue. To their credit, this was fixed quickly. Overall, we paid a significant amount for this stay and chose this resort because of the Marriott name—but it did not live up to expectations. There are many more affordable options that likely offer a better experience. I understand managing a large, all-inclusive resort is challenging, but there needs to be a better system in place to maintain organization and ensure guests actually enjoy their stay. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a relaxing, seamless vacation experience, I would recommend considering other options.
My 17 year old daughter and I decided to do a last minute trip to Cancun for some R and R. The good: views are pretty, rooms are decent, lazy river, dance lesson and stretching on beach were fun and the staff are very helpful and pleasant. The bad: food and drinks! I am not a picky eater, but literally nothing was fresh but the fruit. I had a shrimp dish at the ceviche bar that tasted like it was soaked in ketchup. The mussels and seafood rice at Delphina used frozen seafood and had a fishy taste. Even the nachos were made with ballpark processed cheese and processed guacamole. The drinks all had a chemical taste to them and the alcohol was terrible. - I tried to ask the bartender if they could make me a drink using fresh fruit and they couldn’t. The brick oven pizza was probably the most palatable food there, even though it is reheated. Bar none, the worst all inclusive food I have ever experienced. The pool chairs were all taken by 7 am- luckily we preferred the beach and were able to get a chair, but these also filled quickly. Very disappointed in the Marriott- would never recommend.
Currently here and having a very unfortunate experience with families having to wake up at 5am to possibly get lounging chairs in the pool area and beach. HOW IN THIS WORLD DOES A MARRIOT ALLOW THIS. Families are on vacation trying to rest and enjoy Cancun. Last thing you want to worry about is “where in the world will we sit and lounge tomorrow”? I will also add that the pool service during lunch is mediocre. Aside from the Ceviche bar the rest of the food is all reheated. Burgers and hotdogs All REHEATED, pizza reheated, nothing freshly made. Terrible selection of food and poor management selection. We have 4 more days to go and I’m considering asking to move us to another next door to the JW. Marriot please read this review and Do something about it!!! So disappointing
The bellmen and checkin was first class. Room was very nice. They gave us an upgraded room. The food was terrible. The bellman (Hector) told me to try the Oreo shake. So I went to the 50s diner for lunch and ordered it. (The didn't have it and they said they never had Oreos on the menu) They "used" to call it an Oreo shake and put Brownies in it. I'd say coordinate with your staff about suggesting an item you don't even have on the menu. Embarrassing!! We went to the Polynesian restaurant first night. I'd rather have eaten at McDonalds. My girlfriend got the poke bowl. It was literally Tuna with zero flavor and nothing else. No rice no flavors. I got the shrimp and steak. Absolutely disgusting. Both had no flavor. Use salt, pepper and garlic. It helps. Probably the worst meal I've had since college. I wanted to like this hotel because it was very nice. But the food SUCKED!!

Comfy beds and nice drinks
Way too many people and not much of a view at main pool. Also the sargassum which isn’t controlable
I checked into the Marriott Cancun earlier this evening with high expectations for a 40th birthday celebration, having booked three separate rooms. Unfortunately, the experience has been far from the "VIP" or "Elite Status" service one expects from this brand. Check-In & Service Failures: The check-in process was impersonal and disorganized. Despite my Marriott status, none of the specific booking requests were acknowledged or actioned. We were given zero information regarding the hotel facilities, dining, or amenities—we were essentially handed keys and sent on our way. Room Issues (Late Night): We finally entered our rooms at 22:30. Despite the booking clearly stating a requirement for a crib—and me re-confirming this at the front desk during check-in—the room was empty. The Wait: The crib didn’t arrive until nearly an hour later (close to midnight), and even then, it was delivered without a blanket. Missing Essentials: For a resort of this caliber, it is baffling that the rooms are devoid of basic comforts like robes or slippers. More surprisingly, there are no mirrors within the room itself, making it difficult to get ready for a milestone event. The "View": We booked "Resort View" rooms. What we received was a view of a large industrial canister/tank and a rooftop. This is a far cry from the resort experience advertised and a poor way to welcome guests traveling from the UK for a special occasion. Conclusion: The management of these issues has been lackluster so far. When you travel halfway across the world to celebrate a 40th birthday, you expect the hotel to at least get the basics right. Currently, the lack of attention to detail and poor communication is overshadowing what should be a happy family getaway. I hope management takes immediate steps to rectify this, but as of night one, I am deeply disappointed
Very Disappointing First Night – Not What We Expected at All We arrived at the Marriott Cancun after an 11-hour flight, finally checking into the hotel around 10:30pm. After such a long journey, we were really looking forward to a smooth arrival and a comfortable first night — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Check-In Experience Check-in felt rushed and quite impersonal. None of our booking details or requests seemed to be acknowledged, and we were given little to no information about the resort, restaurants, or facilities. After travelling all day, it would have made a big difference to feel welcomed and properly guided, but instead we were simply handed keys and left to figure everything out ourselves. Room Issues When we got to the room late in the evening, it was clear things hadn’t been prepared to the standard you’d expect. Basic expectations just weren’t met, which is especially frustrating after a long-haul journey. The room itself also doesn’t match what we paid for. The bed is advertised as a “double,” but in reality it feels closer to a single bed with maybe an extra 20cm — I could barely fit on it comfortably, which is honestly quite shocking for a hotel of this level. There are also noticeable omissions — no robes or slippers, very limited mirrors, and barely any wardrobe space to unpack even a few things. At that point, I honestly felt like I might as well have gone camping if I was going to be living out of a suitcase. The View We booked and paid for a “resort view,” but what we actually got is extremely disappointing. You wake up, open the curtains expecting a holiday view, and instead you’re looking at what feels like some sort of nuclear plant — a large industrial tank and rooftop. This is not what most people would reasonably expect when upgrading their room. Overall Impression It’s only the first night, but so far the lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and failure to deliver on basic expectations have been disappointing. After an 11-hour flight, you really hope the hotel gets the basics right — unfortunately that hasn’t been the case. I would hope management reviews this urgently and takes appropriate action to rectify the situation, as this is far below what we expected when choosing Marriott for this trip. We are still here, and I would like to see this turned around.
This was my first and last time to stay at this resort. I was very excited to stay here and it did not meet any of my expectations. This is one of the more expensive all inclusives in the hotel zone, although I now know that it is way way overpriced for what you get after staying here. The food is terrible and we opted to walk across the street two nights to eat at off property restaurants just to get a decent meal. Getting a chair at the pool is impossible. I went down at 7:45 am the first morning and all chairs were taken. The hotel is also extremely noisy and getting good sleep is next to impossible. Housekeeping cleaned the room and took away our dirty towels, but did not leave any clean ones. When I contacted the front desk, they told me it would be 25 minutes before someone could get us clean towels. We decided to move our flights up from an evening flight to early morning to not have to spend another day here. There are PLENTY of better options when it comes to all inclusives in the hotel zone. The positives were the location/promixity to amazing restaurants and the drink quality.
Modern, clean, friendly staff, great place for kids and families. The food was amazing too.
Not having a lunch and dinner buffet isn’t great. The restaurants book up very fast and there were a couple nights we couldn’t get a reservation. They need to improve their options for lunch and dinner.
We recently visited the Marriott Cancun and had a very positive experience. We especially want to shout out Happy and the team at the Kids Camp for their love taking care of our 2 boys... they really enjoyed their time at the Camp. Thank you!!
Overall, good experience, but note if you book through a third party (Costco) they won't honor your Bonvoy status. Actually, I think I was "punished" for being Platinum Elite and not booking direct (see pictures of room on second floor I was put in). Not the best view as you can see with ongoing construction at the adjacent property. Food is okay, but morning buffet was usually packed and service was hit or miss. We went offsite for two dinners but had two favorable experiences with two nights we ate on site. Good options for lunch. Alcohol is not top shelf but was okay. We mostly stayed in adult pool which was not overly crowded and bar tenders were always greatf and attentive. Rooms were clean but getting bottled water was not easy...be sure to save the ones provided when you arrive and refill as they won't hand these out. Decent entertainment at nights but we weren't there for that. Okay experience mostly disappointed with the room we were put into based on my Marriott status.
