The strongest points of Lloyd’s Baia Hotel are undeniable: its beachfront location, the beautiful views, and the charming 20th-century style, which was particularly well preserved in the Belvedere Apartment where we stayed. Unfortunately, this is where the 4-star experience ends.

The hotel is very old, and in many areas, preserving its original character seems to have become an excuse for a lack of renovation. Much of the furniture, doors, finishes, and general infrastructure are outdated and clearly in need of refurbishment. The organization at reception was disappointing. At times, it felt as though collecting additional charges — particularly for the sunbeds — was a greater priority than taking care of the guests and ensuring a pleasant stay. The beach staff were the most unpleasant surprise: impolite and, on some occasions, even aggressive in their approach. You barely had time to put a bag on a sunbed before being asked to show the receipt proving that it had been paid for. This attitude is simply inappropriate for a hotel presenting itself as a 4-star property. Breakfast was probably the biggest disappointment. It was far below what one would expect from a 4-star hotel: exactly the same products every single day, displayed in exactly the same way, with very limited variety. Even when we tried to order something different at an additional cost, the staff seemed unprepared to handle the request, and what we eventually received was still not up to the expected standard. It is a real shame because this hotel has enormous potential. The location, direct access to the sea, views, and unique atmosphere could make it a truly special property. The location and the views deserve 4 stars. Unfortunately, the service does not.

È la terza volta che vengo al Loyds , ottimo hotel , molto curato nelle parti comuni , ottima colazione , , , un po da rinnovare le camere del 400 , per il resto il paesaggio è meraviglioso, e l accesso al mare con ascensore fantastico

Hotel molto bello costellato di ceramiche di Vietri ,ma datato per gli arredamenti e impianti. Impossibile sopportare la musica fino alle 5 del mattino proveniente da discoteche dislocate sulla spiaggia, nonostante infissi con vetro camera. "Parcheggio Gratuito ma non custodito "dove tutti fanno tutto e mi sono ritrovato un danno alla mia auto con disinvolta dichiarata "non responsabilità" della direzione dell'hotel.

Costo elevatissimo se si pensi alla qualità delle stanze, datate e poco moderne. Parcheggio esaurito e benché avessi prenotato 4 stanze mi sarei aspettato almeno un posto riservato! Personale freddo e mai sorridente. Troppi giri e cambi di ascensori per andare dalla reception alle camere e alla spiaggia.

Della struttura mi sono piaciuti gli ambienti dove sono localizzati i ristoranti , la reception e il bar . Li ho trovati puliti, accoglienti e ben arredati . Mi è piaciuta molto la Colazione e la terrazza panoramica dove viene servita . Ottima la posizione rispetto al Mare e al centro di Vietri .

Non mi è piaciuta la camera , che innanzitutto aveva un balcone senza superficie calpestabile e non era specificato nella prenotazione . La Porta della camera era fatiscente , con apertura datata e difettosa, arredamento vecchio , mini frigo da sostituire . Le camere necessitano di una ristrutturazione per rispecchiare gli standard di un hotel a 4 stelle . Migliorerei anche l’ascensore che porta a mare , non mi è sembrato sicurissimo . Lo staff alla Reception non sempre cordiale . Eccessivo il costo del servizio spiaggia che non include neanche la doccia calda

Soggiorno pessimo. Stanze se non superior fatiscenti,aria condizionata assente monitor con tasti completamente rotti per selezionarla. Personale della reception scortese e senza educazione, non risolvono problematiche presentate ma tengono a prendere in giro tergiversando il problema dopo che una camera la fanno pagare fior fiori di soldi. Da non ritornarci.

Views from every area at this property are spectacular. The hotel presents well on arrival and then you see the view, wow. We had a suite and the view from there was facing a slightly different direction and was just so awe inspiring and changed with every hour. The hotel has both a well stocked bar with inside and outside deck seating and a roof restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. You could spend the whole day at the hotel and not feel you have missed anything. Option at night to go 200 metres up the road to an almost hidden little centre where there were multiple good restaurants and all the fun and noise you expect in Italy. All the staff at the hotel were great and they definitely worked very hard to make it all happen.

Proximity and access to centre of Salerno was problematic if you don’t have a car as you must rely on taxis to go anywhere. Property itself is a bit of a maze with lifts everywhere and all just going to certain floors. You eventually get used to the layout but will take some time to be comfortable with it. The menu in the restaurant is limited and did not change while we were there but what we did have, 3 nights, was good but really this point is secondary to the wonderful view while seated having dinner there which is an event in itself. Can get noisy at night time as there are “beach party” venues below the hotel. Breakfast was good and well spread out, but what is about Italian Coffee, liquid glue, you need to come to Australia for great coffee. Our suite was extra special though, compared to other rooms, as it was like a museum complete even with Lloyd’s own Great Grandmother’s curtains. Unique is one description.

Lokalizacja hotelu rewelacyjna. Widok z pokojów - cudowny. Plaża hotelowa darmowa (drobne kamyczki) ale trzeba uiścić opłatę za ewentualne korzystanie z leżaków i parasoli. Na plażę zjeżdża się windą - to świetne udogodnienie. Na plaży jest też bar, przebieralnie, ubikacje prysznice - czyli wszystko to, co niezbędne do komfortowego wypoczynku. Obszerne hole w hotelu, piękny wystrój, dużo tarasów, restauracja, bar i darmowy parking dla podróżujących samochodem. W sierpniu parking to bardzo duży plus.

Negli ambienti comuni l'aria condizionata troppo fredda, salendo dal mare sudati il gelo dei corridoi mi ha causato raffreddore e mal di gola.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lloyd’s Baia Hotel. The highlight for us was definitely the - Sea View room — the view was absolutely beautiful and made every morning and evening feel special. We were also there for San Lorenzo night, which made the stay even more memorable. It was such a lovely evening, with a wonderful atmosphere and the sea in the background. Overall, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable time and left with great memories. We would happily stay here again.

The only disappointing fact was that despite the that hotel has its own beach, you still have to pay for the sunbeds.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und zum Glück nur 1Nacht dort.

Das Badezimmer hat nach Chemie und Abwasser gestunken, unter unserem Balkon war die Örtliche Mülldeponie...Daher hatten wir immer einen gestank zuriechen. Das Frühstück wahr für ein 4 Sterne Hotel nicht gut, für gewisse speisen musste man noch drauf zahlen. Das beste fanden wir aber das wir für die Hotel eigenen Strand noch 15euros bezahlen mussten für den Eintritt. Eine Bodenlose Frechheit, wird raten jedem davon ab.

camera non pronta all'orario del check-in: ore 14:00. camera obsolete con chiave tradizionale e caletto praticamente inutile. tasti della luce tutti usurati, la metà delle prese elettriche non funzionano, mentre i tasti del termostato erano tutti non funzionanti: c'era solo la possibilità di fare ON/OFF con il condizionatore già impostato ad una temperatura molto fredda, che equivale a soffrire il caldo se spento oppure il freddo gelido se accesso. l'orientamento nell'hotel è molto difficile da comprendere, non ci si muove liberamente, per raggiungere le camere ci sono almeno due ascensori da prendere in due ale diverse dell'hotel e i tasti all'interno non corrispondono ai reali piani. parcheggio auto molto piccolo, inoltre il parcheggio della spiaggia è a pagamento il giorno della partenza. per una camera da 250 euro a notte, con spiaggia che varia dai 24 ai 45 euro a persona, mi aspettavo almeno il parcheggio gratuito. frigo con una singola bottiglietta d'acqua per una camera tripla, che ho scelto di non toccare per lo stesso motivo del parcheggio. per prenotare la spiaggia (100 euro per due giorni in 5^ fila, quindi non pochissimo direi) vi è una disorganizzazione unica: ho prenotato telefonicamente per poi scoprire che non si può prenotare telefonicamente (versione smentita dal personale in spiaggia sul posto), e che andrebbe prenotato dal sito dell'hotel, però sul sito dell'hotel vi è solo numero di telefono e mail, per cui ho optato per l'ennesima prenotazione via mail, che ovviamente in spiaggia non avevano, anzi ho rischiato di pagare due volte la spiaggia. purtroppo neanche il mare è stato un granché, per lo più sporco e molto affollato.

Uns haben die tolle Lage, die wunderschöne Aussicht, der schöne Strand und die stilvolle Einrichtung des Hotels besonders gut gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt!

Leider hat uns das Frühstück für ein 4-Sterne-Hotel sehr enttäuscht. Die Auswahl war sehr begrenzt, Kaffee und Säfte kamen aus Automaten, und es gab kaum Auswahl bei Käse und Wurst. Besonders enttäuschend fanden wir, dass es keinen italienischen Käse gab, sondern sogar deutschen Käse – was wir bei einem Hotel in Italien, insbesondere in Neapel, nicht erwartet hätten. Das Rührei war zudem sehr ölig. Auch die Sauberkeit im Badezimmer hat uns enttäuscht. Die Duschkabinen waren nicht richtig sauber, und die Fugen waren teilweise stark verschimmelt. Hier hätten wir bei einem 4-Sterne-Hotel deutlich mehr Sauberkeit und Pflege erwartet. Außerdem hätten wir uns eine bessere Ausstattung der Zimmer, zum Beispiel Moskitonetze, gewünscht. Durch die regelmäßigen Veranstaltungen und Partys in der Außenanlage war es bis spät in die Nacht teilweise sehr laut. Auch die große Baustelle auf der Strandseite hätte unserer Meinung nach im Vorfeld erwähnt werden können.

This hotel has great views of the coast, is VERY CLEAN, and is within walking distance to town restaurants. The beach is great with excellent food available on the beach. But the most amazing part is the SERVICE!!!! The concierge, Carmine Amato, was the best concierge I have ever met in my life. My wife wanted to have do an excursion to visit a farm and make gnocchi, mozzarella, and tiramisu and he helped make it happen in less that 18 hours notice. He even made many calls to coordinate a car service for us with an english speaking driver. Lastly, when I explained I could not get a taxi to bring us to the train early, he arranged for to hotel to bring us via their own car service. The rooms and common areas were clean and had good air conditioning and were peaceful and quiet. If I was to ever go to the amalfi coast again, this place is a MUST STAY!!!!

Das Zimmer ist sehr abgelebt, die Einrichtung uralt und teilweise kaputt. Die Matraze im Bett war sehr schmutzig, das Leintuch auf der Matraze war zu klein, so dass man beim beim Liegen immer wieder die grauslige Matraze berührt... Am Strand befindet sich eine Openair-Discothek. Sie ist sehr laut, Schlafen vor 0130 war nicht möglich! Der Weg zum ZImmer ist ein sehr langes Labyrinth, man muss viel gehen und zweimal den Lift nehmen. Zwischen Hotel und Meer befinden sich uralte angefangene Betonbauten, hässlich anzusehen.

We read the reviews and intentionally booked a room that said soundproofed and we can assure you, it certainly was not. You could hear the neighbours coughing and peeing through the vents, there was hammering from before 8am coming through from the floor below and the disco that’s advertised on Friday to Saturday is also on mid week and blasts the music up from 12am-1:20am (which can be heard throughout the entire hotel) when we addressed this with the staff and manager we were dismissed and told the room was soundproofed (a blatant lie) and they could do nothing for us. We hastily checked out, unwilling to endure the Friday night disco in our “soundproofed” room with zero compensation or refund and paid for a last minute stay elsewhere. The hotel itself is more dated than the photos suggest the rooms were far below a 4 star standard, the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable, lifts wouldn’t work and the beach being directly next to a shipping port is polluted with diesel. This was the most expensive stay of our whole trip of the Amalfi and it was far below the standard of any other place we stayed. The staff were dismissive and unhelpful this hotel is by no means a 4 start hotel and the first negative review I have ever had to leave, it’s honestly the biggest scam I have no idea how it’s still allowed to operate as it does. We had a full sea view room at the front of the hotel and paid €270 per night so this was not a lower standard room they are simply advertising rooms falsely and on the thursday night the was not a floor on the hotel you could not hear the disco blaring from. We live in a city near a nightclub and we have never heard the likes of such loud music, earplugs will be no use to you and the rooms are simply not soundproofed as advertised.

The hotel is in a beautiful location and has the potential to be a real gem. Unfortunately, the lack of customer service completely overshadows everything else. The problems started at check-in. We arrived at around 1:10 p.m. and were told that check-in would only be possible at 2:00 p.m., which was perfectly fine—we respect the rules. However, shortly afterwards, three other guests were allowed to check in at 1:30 p.m. What about treating guests equally? The way our complaint about a strong odor in the room was handled was even more disappointing. Instead of coming to the room to investigate, the receptionist dismissed our concern and asked us to come downstairs. Later, we were simply told that nothing had been found. Yet the odor returned shortly after we got back to the room and remained noticeable throughout the night. Being told that nothing is wrong instead of taking a guest’s complaint seriously is simply unacceptable. The same attitude continued at the so-called private beach, where four of us were expected to share a single umbrella. A beautiful location cannot make up for poor service. Respect, fairness, and taking guests seriously are the basics of hospitality. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on all three, and for that reason I cannot recommend it.

We have chosen Lloyd's Baia Hotel because it was advertised as a four-star hotel on Hotels.com. Unfortunately, our experience was completely different from what was presented. Our original room was in an unacceptable condition, with dirty bedding, damaged furnishings, a broken minibar, and a general lack of cleanliness and maintenance. A member of the reception staff came to the room and personally witnessed its condition before we were moved. The room was located on Floor -4, while active construction and renovation works were taking place directly below on Floor -5. We have photographs and videos documenting this. Despite these works, guests continued to be accommodated in this area. After changing rooms, we discovered that it had not been prepared for four guests. Beds and towels were missing, and we had to contact reception late in the evening before the room was properly prepared. The most disappointing part of our stay was the excessive noise. Loud music continued until approximately 02:00, making it impossible for our family to sleep. We reported this during the night. Despite claims that the upgraded room had soundproof windows, the windows showed visible maintenance issues, including sections sealed with tape, and they clearly did not prevent outside noise from entering the room. We were also charged €100 for beach access after midday, despite being told that access would become free later in the afternoon. During our visit we observed other visitors paying significantly less for comparable facilities. We also had to pay an additional €100 to move from a room that should never have been allocated to guests in the first place. Our holiday became a series of complaints, room changes, discussions with management, and communication with Hotels.com instead of the relaxing family vacation we had booked. Following extensive correspondence and after providing photographs, videos, and other evidence. I hope both the hotel and Hotels.com review how this property is presented to future guests so that others can make an informed decision before booking. Very unprofessional management and total robbery for the service charges.

L’accoglienza in primis, freddezza nell’accogliere nuovi ospiti, cauzione sbattuta in faccia e invito a liberare subito il parcheggio il giorno dopo. Discoteca dell’hotel che la reception c’aveva detto essere libera non risultava tale al tizio che prendeva le ordinazioni al locale, voleva ben 35€ a persona! Vasca idromassaggio rotta e sporca, musica da discoteca fino alle 5 del mattino, impossibile dormire! Check out senza nemmeno un: “come é andata?” Frigo bar con solo una bottiglina d’acqua. Pagato il mare ben 50 euro per la quarta fila ma c’hanno messo in ottava vicino al bar!

Colazione accettabile, mare tutto sommato a portata di mano, ma troppo complesse le operazioni sull'acquisto dell'ombrellone (perchē a parte?).

Un paio si receptionist sono state tutto sommato gentili, un paio assolutamente no: sono state eccessivamente zelanti e poco empatiche, come se a loro capitasse mai di recarsi in una struttura alberghiera, indossando i panni delle clienti.

Se una persona arriva a dover pagare cifre così esorbitanti, per un soggiorno, per poi sentirsi dire dalla reception,per parcheggiare deve fare un pò di Strada,o sentirsi dire la spiaggia domani mattina sono questioni sue perché lei fa il check out..... Gente..... ma cortesia e buon ricevimento dove lo abbiamo lasciato??? (Da premettere so di cosa parliamo perché proprietari di un B&B) Che dire se non per la posizione, ed il mare.... Delusione allo stato puro...

El hotel está muy bien, limpio, buena ubicación y el personal muy amable.

No me gustó que nuestro vuelo salía a las 22hrs, y después de hacer el check out no nos dejaron acceder a la playa a través del hotel ni dejar el coche en el parking hasta la hora de irnos. Es la primera vez que nos pasa. Todo lo demás, perfecto.

The location was nice, and some staff members were very friendly and helpful. However, communication regarding the beach service, sunbeds, and towels was confusing, and some staff members were not particularly welcoming. The room felt outdated and had several maintenance issues, including mold on the bathroom ceiling, a loose faucet, and a shower that leaked into the entrance area. The soundproofing between rooms was also very poor. We were also disappointed that the hotel’s photos mainly showcase the views from one side of the property. From the breakfast area and beach, the view is largely of the commercial harbor, with cargo ships and port activity nearby. In addition, there is a large abandoned construction site next to the beach that appears to have been left unfinished for years, which significantly detracts from the overall atmosphere and beach experience. The hotel’s photos do not fully reflect these aspects of the surroundings. Overall, the hotel has potential, but better maintenance, clearer communication, and a more accurate presentation of the property would improve the guest experience.

The breakfast area was nice with a good breakfast.

We booked this in a hurry and we did not realise that it stands exactly in front of a ship port or what is called and our room was exactly in the middle of it. But if you look on the other sides the view is nice.

Camera pessima da rinnovare assolutamente Sala colazione stracolma già dalle 6.50 del mattino lo staff era completamente nel pallone. Non c'erano nemmeno posti per sedersi.

We were hoping for a sea view and got ships port. The rooms are old and smell. The bar tender was rude. It's not a good experience. I can hear the people in the next room talk and sneeze. The shower is a bathtub, which is slippery. The hotel is on a busy strret hard to park.

Il letto erano due letti singoli, che hanno appoggiato, inoltre si staccavano spesso, ed è stata una nottata

מלון גדול ומאוד מיושן. חדרים קטנים, לא מאוד נקי. ארוחת הבוקר דלה. השימוש בחוף הים הוא בעלות נוספת. המלון ומכשיריו ממש מאכזבים. מציינת לטובה את הצוות.

Stuff, food, location!!! The room was very clean. We would like to say a very special THANK YOU!! to Taxi department. The Taxi drivers were so organized and on time!!! We were about to miss our boat to Capri, stuff in hotel and Taxi drivers helped a lot and we made it!!!

L’albergo è un po datato ma ha 2 grandi gioielli: la vista spettacolare e i salotti del piano bar con il giardino. La suite con sauna ideale per coppie

L’ingresso dell’albergo, gli esterni, l’ascensore per la spiaggia cozzano drammaticamente con gli interni. Occorrerebbe più manutenzione e lavori importanti per tenere l’ascensore per il mare più sicuro, rifinito e meno inquietante. C’è una parte completamente in stato di abbandono

Colazione e cena eccellenti.

Non abbiamo potuto dormire mai a causa della discoteca posizionata sotto la nostra camera, il venerdì notte addirittura un terribile dj urlava ancora alle h 5 del mattino!!! Questo ha compromesso tutta la vacanza, come si può immaginare.
