Echo Mountain Inn

The location was central.

The room had a funky smell with very little ventilation to let in fresh air, the air-conditioning didn't work and leaked all over the kitchen floor. I had to clean the shower head as it was almost completely blocked and that itself was a struggle as the pipes aren't fixed properly, loose and flimsy. I expected so much more for that price.

The place really exceeded my expectations and very well furnished. Despite the place being very close to the town CBD, there being a bar/restaurant and lottery place on the premise, there was almost no noise and the stay was lovely. I would recommend this place to anyone and would gladly return.

It was a bit strange that there was a slot machine/gabling on the premise. More than 50% of our country's disposable income goes to gabling, which is really troubling. But other than that, the place is well taken care after and the stay was really nice.

It’s clean , staff friendly , food rocks, enjoyable steak .

Location

Excellent location, lovely staff, the rooms are done up very nicely and all in working order. In house restaurant was able to adjust a menu item to be vegetarian (and meals can be eaten in you room or in the main room)

Took forever to get someone to acknowledge my arrival at reception (5-10min of noone present) but when they got there, they were lovely and very helpful. Staff don’t know about nearby Marakele National Park The rooms need those light film covers - I had to unplug multiple items to stop light shining but the air conditioner (which I switched on and off solely for this reason) had a light so bright it was a literal lamp

Breakfast is served in your room, dinner available at the bar on the premises, lovely room & very friendly staff.

The place is very nice and neat

I wish we had a buffet breakfast but it was lovely nonetheless.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. They go an extra mile, they are wonderful.

The Open view Hd, the decoder has very limited things to watch, I missed sport while at the hotel, I would like to be able to watch Dstv even when travelling, rather than have a cheep option with nothing to offer.

Started with a helpful what's app - plenty of useful information about arrival, access, logistics such as wifi details and contact info. Warm welcome from Erin. Exactly as illustrated in the photos on booking.com Lovely large, modern, clean, bright and airy - well appointed main room. Large clean bathroom with spacious shower Plenty of plugs. Desk for working - AND with a lamp - bonus points for that. Fridge, microwave available. A nice arm chair. Plenty of hanging and shelf space. Everything working. Also nice big ceiling fan in the room. Perfectly located within 1 minute walk from shops and grocery store. Thabazimbi Square a few minutes drive away with more shops and lovely coffee shop Panarottis. Definitely Recommended.

The bar, restaurant and small casino on site, although at same property weren't really part of the accommodation. Close proximity but operated separately - with own day visiting clientelle.

Breakfast was fantastic and well served, location is perfect for any business in and around Thabazimbi, Staff very friendly and helpful , a real gem of a place all round

Nothing to change, perfect all round

The parking space

Not Applicable

Not Applicable

There was a very bad odor during the evening as well as during the night, I am, however, unable to put my finger on wat it was.

There was no safe parking. The room was not clean and VERY small. It did not look like the photo on the website. There was a strong smell of sewerage. We decided not to stay and left even though we paid in advance.

The room was just out of this world

Nothing at all

Nothing

1. Room no.6's bathroom without the door 2. Shower without the door and not functioning properly 3. Stairs towards the room too steep especially with luggage 4. Breakfast too bad ... especially their omelets 5. Sliced tomatoes 🍅 looked n smelled rotten 6. Their breakfast time damn unreasonable (07-08am). 7. Checked in on the 21st and out on the 22nd February 2024 and until today the 1st of March hasn't received my invoice despite several attempts of requesting. 8. Their 079 884 5114 number is never answered even though is the one indicated for enquiries. 9. Their parking is not adequate and is in an open space under the trees 10. I HAVE NEVER STAYED IN A PLACE LIKE THAT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE OF TRAVELING... SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND WILL NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE....

Location

Booked for one double bed and got 2 single beds without any apology, no induction of how the food and bar works, and where I must drop keys in the morning.

clean, comfortable bed, complimentary tea & coffee..everything I needed

all good

The cleanliness and the comfort

The staff making noise in the passages and the beeping sound in the room the whole night ,the parking was not what i thought it would be.
