Woodpecker Villa Guesthouse

Woodpecker – what an absolute gem! We had a wonderful weekend and can unequivocally say that Woodpecker is one of the most beautiful and cosy cottages we have ever stayed in. Everything we needed was provided — and so much more. The layout of the house is perfect for spending quality time together, enjoying a braai and taking in the peaceful natural surroundings. It was an absolute privilege to sit on the stoep and watch zebras, nyalas, kudus and blue wildebeest passing by. We also enjoyed a lovely parkrun on Saturday morning, and there are wonderful places to walk and explore nature in a peaceful and safe environment. We can highly recommend Woodpecker to anyone looking for a beautiful, comfortable escape where they can relax, reconnect and enjoy meaningful family time. We would gladly return!

There's nothing I didn't like.

Je n'ai pas de mots pour dire combien nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans la maison de Tonya. D'abord quel accueil, quelle gentillesse de la part de la propriétaire! Nous voyageons beaucoup un peu partout dans le monde, mais nous avons rarement (voire jamais) eu droit à un accueil aussi chaleureux. La propriétaire vit dans le village et est très attentionnée, excellente communication avant et pendant le séjour. Nous avons eu le plaisir de faire la connaissance de voisins, qui sont eux aussi adorables. Une très belle expérience humaine. La maison est superbe, décorée avec goût. Lits super confortables. Clim chauffante dans le salon. Et que dire de l'environement? Ce village de vacances est un petit paradis où les animaux se baladent en liberté pour le plus grand plaisir des petits et des grands. La terrasse est parfaite pour regarder passer les animaux et le hot tub chauffé au bois et un plus très sympa pour se détendre en regardant les étoiles.

Rien, c'était un séjour INOUBLIABLE.

Nous n'avons pas été informés des travaux actuels sur la route 516, ce qui est à prendre en considération dans une journée de vacances....il faut s'armer de beaucoup de patience....

The place was very clean, it's beautiful and peaceful. The host was very informative about where to get things around the area the events that were happening and she is a nice and caring person, she communicated her availability and called to check how far and if I was ok. Loved the place it's worth every penny.

The environment is quiet and peaceful. The bush lifestyle with animals roaming close was enjoyable. the community around are welcoming.

A beautiful villa, exactly as advertised. Exceptional location, very clean and comfortable with everything available for a perfect getaway in the bush. The open plan kitchen was great to be able to cook breakfast while watching the game just walking past outside. We had a very friendly Kudu who visited us often during the day, and a family of warthogs with tiny babies was a real treat to see with plenty of photo opportunities.The owner was very welcoming and helpful, I would highly recommend and would definitely return.

Beautifully modern house, beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable with everything you need. Saw lots of animals and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

The space was beautiful. Well looked after. The outside area was amazing. The host was very friendly since the start. Would highly recommend.

The cleanliness and how spacious the villa is. Its a home away from home and the rusks was just a beautiful gesture by the Tonja. Comms was great from the minute i booked till i checked out and i am grateful for that. The animals roaming around was just a beautiful sight.
