I love the room with the direct access to the pool. Pool is well-maintained. Staff are accommodating and nice. The welcome drink was tasty. There is scheduled free transport to town and back. Our stay was very relaxing and great. And also, its near Lio Beach.
The internet is not stable, it fluctuates a lot. There is also frequent change of power. Would also have been nice if there is a full body mirror in the room to get ready with.
Overall, the experience was really good. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the welcome drink was a lovely touch, it immediately made me feel relaxed. The room and the bed were both comfortable, and everything was clean. It was also very quiet, so we were able to sleep really well. Overall, we had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Thanks.
Here are a few areas that need improvement. We checked out on July 7, but the security deposit has still not been credited back to my account. I hope the hotel can check and resolve this as soon as possible. We also noticed that the area underneath the couches in the lobby was visibly dirty. Since the couches are a focal point of the lobby, it gave us the impression that only the visible surfaces were being cleaned while the areas underneath were being overlooked. The price of the hotel breakfast also seemed unreasonable, so we decided to have breakfast somewhere else. We found a place with an amazing view and many options to choose from, and the total cost was still less than the breakfast offered at Charlie’s.
Cleanliness and staff
The price
Hospitality Large spacious rooms Vegetarian options Good pool and gym
Next door to a yard with many roosters. Continuous day and night crowing was annoying. Only in the e ‘family rooms’
The staff was very accommodating and helpful even with our very late check-in.
The location is a little far from the beach.
The rice gave all 4 of us food poisoning. As that is the only thing all 4 of us ate the same. They held us up for over 15 min to check out to see if we stolen anything from the room. Does it look like I need to take a towel or tv remote? Would not stay again.
Very nice hotel, the room was comfortable and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with everything- from carrying suitcase to booking a tricycle. We liked location as it wasn’t in El Nido Town strict centre but only 10-15 mins scooter ride away:)
Nothing
Great location near airport and Lio Beach. Quiet.
Breakfast wasn’t included. I purchased and didn’t like the buffet selection
I used two rooms - the refrigerators in both rooms did not work, and could not cool drinks lower than room temperature. My second room faced the sunshine and even with curtains closed the aircon did not keep it cool. With excellent fish and sea-food everywhere it was very disappointing that the restaurant did not offer locally sourced fish dishes.
Quality of resort
The breakfast was lacking
The breakfast is very good. There's wide variety of selection and served hot. Staff are polite and always ready to help. The hotel is generally clean.
There's a drinking water dispenser in each level of the hotel. I suggest to take this out and instead provide for a sealed bottled water upon guest's request to ensure water quality. We had stomach upset during our stay which maybe attributed to contaminated drinking water taken from the dispenser.
Close to Lio beach which was good but the shuttles are very infrequent. The scenery was pretty. The shuttle to and from the airport was easy, free, and convenient. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was ok.
Since it wasn't really close to anything, we found ourselves eating at the Charlie's restaurant A LOT which was not great because their menu seems extensive but only a few things were actually good. We asked for toilet paper 6 times one day and they kept saying they would send it to our room and never sent it so we ended up having to go to the bathrooms by the restaurant and taking a roll from there. When the AC was on, it leaked so much that we had to put towels underneath it otherwise there would be HUGE puddles on the floor. The shower was always cold, no matter what you did it would be cold and then for 1 minute be burning hot, then right back to cold.
Not much selection on the buffet but the food being served is nice. My son got a little sick from the travel and couldn’t eat right away in the morning. The staff are very understanding and let us take some food back to our room, which we really appreciate. The room we got is very spacious, with big beds and a balcony. The shower pressure is a bit weak but the handheld one works fine which I find a bit odd. The pool is clean and maintained regularly. The property also has a small gym but we are not able to use it as we are always out.
A bit far from the Town Centre, however there is a scheduled shuttle being offered by the hotel. You will have to arrange your own tricycle if you miss one, which will cost you 300 pesos for 2 ppl per trip.
It is conveniently located 10 mins from the airport and Lio Estate. Lio estate has a nice manicured beach, that can be accessed thru free shuttle service. It’s in quiet part of El Nido.
There was knocking on the room beside mine at an ungodly hour which made me jolt out of bed since I thought somebody was knocking on mine.
The staff was very polite
There was one staff who was a bald man who was very arrogant
Well maintained, had everything we needed. So conveniently close to the airport, beach and town. Shuttle service was great. This was our second stay in 2 1/2 years!
The chickens from the neighbouring property were quite loud most of the day. My daughter asked for a room transfer to avoid it and the staff responded promptly.
Value for money
It was noisy in the room - can hear people using the pool.
Clean comfortable stay, very good staffs
Far from the town , little expensive
Nothing
The room smells like mildew. Air Conditioners needs to be cleaned or replaced.
Good location, staff were helpful upon request, airport shuttle was free which was great.
Check in was late - not super late but not ideal when it’s 3pm and you’ve been traveling all day. The walls were really dirty, like someone had rubbed their fingers everywhere and definitely needs a clean. When room was cleaned and dirty towels were taken they weren’t replaced, had to request clean towels. Not enough pool chairs. Food was overpriced. Just not quite up to scratch for the price.
They greet you with a delicious welcome drink made with mint and fruits, yum! The staff were very accomodating when we asked for laundry to be returned within 24 hours. The free shuttle to the Lio Beach was also nice, and the restaurant had a nice selection of foods. The pool was nice for a quick refreshing dip. The fitness center had a nice selection of fairly new clean equipment.
There was a New Years Eve party that was so loud and went on until 12:30am when we were trying to sleep right above the party location. It would have been nice if they had more space but with limited space i guess we were just unlucky to be early to bed people. I assume most parties will be held by the pool. The hotel did not allow for charging meals to the room, so we had to be bothered after every meal with paying by credit card or cash, and it was not an easy final check out bill like most hotels. If you forget to pay for a drink they come to your room for payment. Not the most relaxing vibe.
The hotel was clean, staff friendly.
Breakfast buffet was underwhelming Communication was not great regarding reservations and room type.
La literie La piscine Le petit déjeuner Atmosphère générale Navette gratuite pour rejoindre le centre ville
Hôtel excentré, loin de la plage et du centre ville Temps d’attente au restaurant extrêmement long et prix élevé
It’s absolutely beautiful! Nothing more to say :)
THE POOL. we got really excited when we got to our room and we got the very end pool, it was a bit more private and less awkward to stay at. the ac was leaking on our second day but it was okay cause they fixed it right away. overall, this stay was amazing!
Bel hôtel avec un personnel chaleureux et serviable
Rien
Our stay at Charlie’s left us with mixed emotions. The only reason for a passable score is because of the room we stayed in. We stayed in the Premium room for 3 nights and it was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The best was massive and very comfortable. The floors were mopped everyday which was fantastic! The view was also lovely, seeing over the jungle rather than other rooms. But this view is only available in the Premium room, and there are only 3 of these rooms. Bathroom was very clean and also really big! The facilities were decent. The top pool seemed to be the most clean, rather than the lower pool. There were free shuttles going to El Nido Town and Lio Beach, however these were not frequent at all. The location of the property wasn’t bad, it was close to the airport and Lio Beach. There is a little distance between the hotel and El Nido Town, grabbing a tricycle ride for 15min for around ₽300. Some of the staff were pleasant and helpful, whilst others were absolutely not.
Don’t bother offering a menu and restaurant if you aren’t serving half the options listed. We attempted ordering food and so many of our choices were rejected because they didn’t have anything that was required to make the meal. Considering how much we paid for our stay, we really expected much better than this. When staff were handing us a menu for dinner or dessert, they didn’t bother to mention that there was so much unavailable. The breakfast buffet was very poor. It was extremely sparse and you needed to ask for things to be either topped up or if they offered it at all. Considering we are on a tropical island, the fruit station was beyond disappointing. Only watermelon was being offered, and pineapple if we were lucky. Apparently the market was closed and this was the excuse for the lack of ingredients and options. However, this is a major hotel in El Nido and again considering the price, we expect so much better. This does not reflect the staff, but rather management and possibly the lack of organisation. Considering the amount of rooms and guests, there were not enough pool chairs at all. But the real problem was actually other guests just leaving their belongings on a chair and not coming back for over 45min. And they were not in the vicinity of the pool at all. They were literally gone but left their belongings to reserve a chair. We were lucky that we had chairs, but we felt really awful for other guests wanting to use the pool and not being able to get a seat due to others selfishness. Management MUST enforce a “no reserving pool chairs” rule as people are clearly incapable of thinking of others. If you aren’t actively using the pool or the pool chair, take your belongings and let others enjoy the space as well. The water pressure was really low in the bathroom, however we understand that we are staying on an island so this is also expected.
Very clean and very accommodating staff
Vicinanza con l’aeroporto, la struttura moderna, le stanze nuove
L’umidità: anche i vestiti chiusi nella valigia risultano umidi. Non c’è sempre acqua calda.
Close to town and airport, clean, pool is just outside the room
The airport pickup was not there when we arrived. I had to call the front desk and asked to be picked up
スタッフが親切
シャンプーが泡立たない
Deluxe room was very spacious, there was a nice pool area
Hot water was intermittent in shower, water didn’t drain out of the shower. Breakfast was very poor. Staff were ok, didn’t really go above and beyond to make you feel welcome particularly when our stay was over Christmas.
All the staff did an excellent job.
Shower in the Standard room are not enclosed causing water to splash on the floor outside the Shower cubr making it messy.
Very big and clean room, great rooftop bar and pool.
Modern style, Pool was nice, Rooms were good.
The dining area, buffet and menus. A lot of options in the menu weren't available and for 3nights and 4days it's frustrating specially the restaurants are far from this hotel. Taste of the foods need improving as well. Espresso machine was down all week. No Elevator.
I stayed at Charlie’s El Nido for three nights, and it was a disaster. The hotel looks nothing like the photos online and the cleanliness was seriously concerning. The first room we were given was filthy – we cleaned the floor with the towels and it was so dirty they turned black, and the room resembled a small, dark prison cell. We were moved to another room, which was still far from what was advertised. We asked for some pool towels to take to the beach like other couples were doing and were the only couple asked to pay a rental fee which no other couple had to pay. The room occasionally also smelt like raw sewage. The breakfast was limited and not worth upgrading for. On the last day, I found my ‘fresh sheets’ had been changed to ripped and urinated-on sheets on my bed. When I raised this issue, the staff were completely useless, showing no urgency or compassion. I waited for half a hour before raising the issue again and the staff (Joel) being particularly careless. The location is also far from everything and the ATM didn’t work if you needed to take cash out. I would never stay here again and strongly recommend avoiding this place. This property is managed by Hospitality Innovators and it’s very clear profits and overcharging is more important than your experience. The staff and the overall experience were beyond a joke. Don’t waste your time or money! I have been fortunate enough to be travelling the Philippines for over a month and stayed all over the country and this hotel is by far the worst we have encountered.
great facilities, very well equipped gym, friendly staff and great locations
room downstairs unfortunately very dark and humid
The attendant named Bob was better than excellent if I were to return it would be because of his outstanding service I watched him working and I saw his attention to detail with each and every customer I can tell you that that man deserves a higher position within your establishment with an increased salary he is above average much above average I am a business owner and I can tell you that a company is only as good as it's people you should not overlook this young man

All new and working, very helpful staff and easy to go around
The washroom in our room was having stinky smell all the time
Very Good Breakfast The transfers to El Nido, Airport and Lio Beach. Swimming Pool
Don't trust the photos, particularly the one of the entrance. It was the biggest disappointment. Very far from the center, you cannot walk anywhere. Bad internet service. Never had hot water to shower. Humidity and bad drainage in the toilet. Overpriced. Very noisy party in the swimming pool. I called the reception at around 10 pm to ask to put the music down and they told me they could not do anything because the pool wasnt still close.
Has a good gym and 20 minute walk to lio beach
The first night I got there and had a shower, the drain was blocked and the water flooded the entire bathroom. I called reception and they sent someone to unblock it. The two staff members unblocked it, then walked out and left the water and their dirty foot prints. They didn't clean the mess or offer me towels to do it myself. Major slip hazard! I had the clean my room sign up from 8 am. I went out for the day and arrived back at 5:30 and my room hadn't been made up. I told reception and they gave me towels, however didn't give me and more water or coffee satchets etc. I felt like my entire stay I had to hassel the staff just to get basic things that should have been included in the price and that every other hotel i have stayed in do for their guests. Very disappointed because it isn't cheap.
We had a very bad experience at this hotel. The property itself looks nice from the outside, but the room we received was extremely old and very humid. Everything was wet — the floor, the walls, the bed sheets, and even the toilet paper. We asked to change the room, and although the staff moved us, the second room had the exact same problem. We chose this hotel over other options specifically because it was more expensive and looked like a comfortable place to rest after our flight was cancelled. But the opposite happened. I woke up several times during the night because I couldn’t breathe, and in the morning I felt very sick. Even the hotel driver noticed how unwell I was. I’ve been sick for two days now and couldn’t enjoy anything. It’s really disappointing and sad because this experience ruined part of our honeymoon. A hotel at this price should never have rooms in such a condition. I hope management takes this seriously, as no guest should go through this.
Breakfast buffet and service staff
Shower water heater not stable
Staff friendly
Food took too long to arrive. Food and drinks overpriced - did whole place did not shout luxury as suggested on the website
Close to airport and nice helpful staff.
Phone line wasn’t working on our first night. Unable to call front desk to request for towels to use on the bathroom floor. After taking a shower, the entire bathroom got wet because of not having shower curtain. Water was all over the entire bathroom floor which made it very unsafe for us to walk inside the bathroom. TV and TV control wasn’t working either. Tried everything using the control, and nothing happens.
Stayed here at Charlie’s for 4 nights as a result of a late change of plans. It ended up being a great find. The resort was clean, tidy and very well maintained. The staff really tried hard to make us feel welcome with their attentive service and friendly conversation. Breakfast was included and if a very good standard. The resort runs a courtesy bus down to El Nido town and to Lio Beach was we used every day. Highly recommend this resort. Very handy to the airport and Lio Beach. Only 10 minutes to El Nido town centre.
Great location, only 10 minutes ride from the El Nido airport. Clean, fresh, modern and comfortable hotel with it's own free shuttle to the nearest Lio beach (a great one indeed) and to the downtown center.
Everything was great to be honest.
El personal y la comida
Limpieza justo
Standard Rooms are a bit small, but good for budget travellers. If we return I would get a larger room with a balcony. There is not enough chairs around the pool to support the number of rooms, also we’re missing seat cushions as shown in hotel pictures. Room was clean and staff very friendly. Only had one instance of meal taking over 30 minutes for service, but I suspect was under staffed at the time. Food was really good. Shuttle service was great. Reception was very helpful with inquiries. Overall 4/5 rating.
Gym, 2 pools and gave me a free poolside upgrade without asking. Much better than Al Amara where I also stayed.
Staff, restaurant around pool.
צוות מעולה ונכון לעזור
Cozy, clean and absolutely love the ambiance! IThe staff are very kind and accomodating. They even packed a breakfast for us since we had to leave the hotel at 6am sharp to catch a flight and the breakfast will start at 6:30am. I really appreciate it!
None. 😊
Charlie's is a very nice hotel located about 10 minutes from downtown El Nido. But they offer regular shuttle service into the town. The rooms are very nice, especially the 3rd floor suites, but the outside noise may keep you awake at night. The a la carte breakfast food is outstanding. Beautiful presentation. But the service at breakfast is terrible. The waiters are extremely slow. Be prepared to wait 10 minutes for a cup of coffee.
We stayed at Charlie’s El Nido for 5 days and 4 nights, and honestly, it was worth every penny, considering the hyperinflation in El Nido lately. The staff here really go above and beyond. You can tell they genuinely care about making guests happy, and they’re always ready to help with anything you need. Special shoutout to Bon from the restaurant. Customer service was exceptional, everyone was friendly, respectful, and accommodating. It felt great to be treated so well without any hint of discrimination (something we, unfortunately, experienced elsewhere before just because we’re pinoys and not foreigners.) The restaurant was another big surprise! Every single thing we tried was delicious , but their chicken burger deserves a special shoutout. Definitely a must-try! The resort is about 10 minutes away from town, which we actually loved because it’s so much more peaceful. Perfect if you just want to relax after a long day of island hopping. They also have free scheduled shuttles to Lio or El Nido town at convenient times, like an hour after tours. Super handy and saves you around ₱300 each way. We had such a great experience here. Charlie’s El Nido really delivers.
Great place
This hotel was amazing, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the cleaness of room excellent, very spacious room and comfy. Kudos to the staff and their service!! Such a great experience and care.
All of the staff provided superior customer service and the pool area was fantastic to relax in. The lobby was a nice place to hang out to read a bit if the weather didn't cooperate for using the pool area. Your breakfast buffet was incredible on the days you were busy and very nice on the slower days. The restaurant staff were always helpful and provided service with a smile at any time during their work day.
The air conditioner in the room is not the best for the humid conditions that exist in the area. Using the "dry" setting on the air conditioner unit did help a bit, but the room was always damp and the towels would not dry fully because of it which forces you to have to request new towels. We were inconvenienced one evening around 6:20pm as the restaurant closed at 6:00pm which was earlier than previous evenings causing us to rely on snacks we had in the room to tide us over until breakfast the next day.
We recently held an event at Charlie’s El Nido, and the overall experience was wonderful. The space is ideal for small gatherings of around 20–25 people, located on the top floor (accessible by stairs—no elevator, which is a nice eco-friendly touch). The venue is well-equipped with WIFI, air-conditioning, chairs, tables, an LCD projector, and a reliable sound system. The meals were exceptional—Chef’s recommendations were spot on, and we appreciated the personalized proposal tailored to our event. The staff were very accommodating and professional. Although the payment terms were a bit tricky from our side, Charlie’s was very understanding and offered practical alternatives that made things much easier. Overall, both I and the event attendees—including our local partners from various municipalities in Palawan—had a wonderful experience. Thank you, Charlie’s! We will definitely consider your venue again for future events.
Our stay at Charlie’s El Nido was absolutely perfect from start to finish. 🌴✨ The resort is modern, peaceful, and beautifully designed — everything feels fresh and well cared for. The pool was stunning and such a relaxing place to spend time, and our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. What really made the difference was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely thoughtful — they made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The service here truly goes above and beyond. The breakfast buffet and restaurant food were excellent, with plenty of variety and consistently delicious meals. We also appreciated the convenient shuttle service to town and Lio Beach, which made exploring easy while still being able to return to the quiet comfort of the resort. This was one of the best resort experiences we’ve had in the Philippines. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway in El Nido with top-notch service, modern facilities, and a tranquil atmosphere, Charlie’s is the place to be. Highly recommended!
Estaba a 10 minutos en moto del centro del nido así que estaba muy bien ubicado. El hotel es bonito y cómodo
La ducha no se regula bien. Por lo que la mayoría de veces nos duchábamos con agua fría porque no se llegaba a poner caliente
Nice and quiet place. Approachable staffs, good food quality, service was great! We had a wonderful stay here and vacation in El Nido, would definitely come back again!
All the staff were amazingly helpful. Loved the pool area. Wish you'd sell your wooden coasters. Don't understand why it's not standard to clean rooms daily anymore. You have to ask when you run out of toilet paper, tissue, for more towels as the wet towels never dry. Everything. You're a nice hotel. Would be nicer if it was a standard for a basic clean and refresh. I shouldn't have to ask.
I can only give this hotel 5 out of 5 stars. We visited El Nido for the first time in June and stayed at Charlie's for several days. We had a double room with pool access. The room was spacious and clean. We were completely satisfied and felt very comfortable. In August, we returned to El Nido for a workation and had originally booked a different hotel, but after the first night we were so dissatisfied that we wanted to leave immediately and booked Charlie's online. Upon arrival at Charlie's, we were greeted warmly and, before checking in and looking at our details, we were welcomed with: ‘You've been here before, haven't you? Welcome home.’ You can't ask for more than that. We got the same room as in June and stayed for 15 days this time. The breakfast buffet is extensive, and in the morning you can also choose between a Filipino or American breakfast, which is then freshly prepared for you. You can also have pancakes or scrambled eggs with various ingredients, no problem. During our stay, Lyn and Bon took good care of us and the other guests in the mornings! The rooms are cleaned daily on request, but this was not necessary for us as we worked in our room after breakfast. If we wanted new towels and the bed linen changed, we simply informed the reception when leaving the hotel and everything was ready when we returned. Speaking of the reception, they took care of all our concerns, whether it was the Wi-Fi, which we needed to be stable and fast for work, island hopping, questions about a land tour (from Joseph – a great tour guide), questions about a hot water bottle for my wife's cramps, towels for the beach, the question of whether our flight would take place on the day of departure, as a violent thunderstorm was brewing in the morning and only small 40-seater planes fly from El Nido, were answered at all times and alternatives or solutions were always found! Mr Taneo drove us to the airport by shuttle and told us that if the flight was cancelled, we should call him and he would arrange for us to be taken to Puerto Princessa by van so that we could fly from there in a larger plane. My wife is really afraid of geckos and lizards. We had one in our room on three evenings, and when we asked at reception, a maintenance technician and a member of the housekeeping staff came immediately and removed it. We got talking to Mr Estrada and he told us about a basketball game, so we went there in the evening by scooter and what can I say, those guys can play! Now, during the rainy season, there is a tournament: El Nido Inter Hotel Basketball Friendship Games. If you are in El Nido and like sports, support the team! The games take place opposite the primary school. But back to the point. The hotel and, above all, the staff are a prime example of the friendliness, attentiveness and helpfulness for which the Philippines are known. They know what it means to be a host. And I know what I'm talking about. I am a trained hotel manager and have worked in various hotels in Germany for 12 years. Of course, our impression and opinion are very subjective, but for us, everything about this hotel is perfect. Unfortunately, we don't know all the staff members' names yet, but we will change that. We'll be back soon! Thank you for everything! Sir BJ und Ma`am Aleah
Awesome service and shuttle service was a plus. We will stay here again on our next El Nido vacay!
Everything
The food prices were outrageous
Picked up from the airport, didn't even know this was going to happen! Friendly staff at the reception desk and throughout the hotel services. On the last day when the flights had been cancelled due to the storm, the gentleman on the desk kindly arranged a bus for us to Puerto Princesa very short notice and helped us retrieve our laundry, we were very grateful! Great selection at breakfast everyday and some nice things on the standard menu too. Room service only came when you asked which was refreshing! Pool looked great but unfortunately the weather got in the way of us using it. We paid for a twin room which was quite small but perfectly functional. Beds were comfortable and housekeeping topped things up for us after making a short phone call.
One of the days, a member of staff in the restaurant made a huge deal out of us apparently sitting at the managers table. We moved after he insisted, but no one actually sat there whilst we ate breakfast elsewhere - it seemed like an unnecessary power trip. The restaurant/breakfast area is open to the elements so during a typhoon it can get pretty breezy and wet! The shower was a water fall shower, the pressure wasn't great and you couldn't adjust the height so if you didn't want to wash your hair it was a little awkward to use!
The atmosphere is clean Great food and ambiance The manager Kat is so elegant and professional ,ive never seen a property so clean and well maintained.i highly recommend to stay at this terrific hotel.
The staff are exceptional, always helpful and considerate of all requests. When I was ill for a few days the manager bought ginger tea and bananas to my room. The rooms are modern and clean with internet apps available on the tv.
