We asked at 1.45pm if we can check in as check in time is 2pm but claire told Hanz no! 2pm ! Then after we check in we received a message that due to only a few people in the hotel the buffet breakfast will be ala carte i can understand the breakfast but not the 15 mins earlier for check in. Hopefully they will be more considerate next time for a bit earlier check ins if its not that busy.

Bad Internet connection, staff were not friendly and rooms not properly cleaned. Food not so good. Over all i would not recommend this resort. Very very bad !

Back at Isla Amara Boutique Resort and it still feels like home away from home. 🌴✨ We first stayed here last January 2025, and because of such a great experience, we came back with friends last May 6–9, 2026. Excelente resort, el personal super cordial y atento a las necesidades. Muy limpio. La ubicación en lio beach excelente a pasos de la mejor playa. A pocos minutos en Tuc Tuc del nido para tomar las excursiones a las islas. Muy recomendable, volvería a elegirlo.

Abnormaal fijn verblijf. Het beste tot nu toe in de Filipijnen. Het personeel hielp onwijs goed met alles! Het strand op loopafstand was bijzonder goed!

Het ontbijt is voor Filipijnse begrippen heel goed maar wij vonden het niet heel lekker. Je zit in een duurder gebied van El Nido. Dat merk je bij de restaurants

The Bar needs some TLC. Empty shelves. No staff available when I sat at the bar for 4 to 5 minutes. Great space and revenue opportunity just no one driving it.

I loved the location close to Lio Beach and all amazing restaurants. The room was well designed and very comfortable. Fan, AC, pool access, fridge, big smart TV with Netflix. Good, simple free breakfast and free airport transfers were good add ons. Wonderful and helpful staff.

The sewage smell in the bathroom, no matter how the housekeeping or myself, tried to fix it. There were little annoying flies that were coming from nowhere despite closed doors. An alarm that was turning on like 7 times a day.

One of the best hotels in El Nido. Our family had an amazing time and loved the place. 👌

Although this Hotel was near the beach it has very bad internet and WiFi and the Internet in our room was very weak and that we couldn’t use it

Everything was good except for the swimming pool. We got rashes after swimming on the first night because the water seemed to make our skin itchy. Other than that, everything went well, and we enjoyed our stay a lot.

The location is excellent, especially for senior citizens. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer great value for money. The staff are very friendly and accommodating—they made us feel like family throughout our stay. The breakfast was sumptuous and added to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

When we arrived we were greeted with wide smiles and happy faces. Jessa and Francis made a big effort to make a surprise anniversary display in our room which was a beautiful gesture. All the team, the pool guys, the kitchen staff, maintenance and not forgetting the hardworking cleaning staff were really nice and happy. I can't understand some guests complaining and crying about the smallest thing especially when the world is so crazy at the moment, we all should be grateful that we can visit these lovely countries at the moment, So stop complaining about a worn out towel or insects in a tropical country and look up and out and be grateful for your time in El Nido especially Isla Amara resort and the Leo estate. ❤️💚🩵

It was very close to the beach and restaurants and it was quiet. No party happening around.good for people needs peace and quiet.

The room 218 was next to the noisy pipe that was making noise whole day.

We are staying 3 nights at the Isla Amara. The service is impeccable. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and included in our stay . This side of el Nido is very quiet which I prefer. I highly recommend staying here

I loved everything about the hotel. So pretty, comfortable, quiet and so many restaurants and beach nearby.

A amabilidade/simpatia dos colaboradores é o que mais salta à vista, são extremamente prestáveis e educados. O quarto era enorme e tinha excelentes condições. Existe sempre alguém para ajudar na receção e estão permanentemente a limpar os espaços comuns do resort. O facto de se poder alugar motas, tours e Tuktuks são pontos extras. A localização é ótima para quem quer estar longe da confusão do centro de El Nido.

O pequeno almoço poderia ser melhor, tem alguma diversidade mas não muda muito de dia para dia e focam-se muito na comida tradicional Filipina. Infelizmente estão a ocorrer obras mesmo em frente ao resort, o que acaba por incomodar um pouco pois começam pelas 7 horas da manhã e apenas terminam pelas 21 horas das noite. A pressão do chuveiro por vezes era inconstante. Resumindo, todos os “pontos negativos” são ultrapassáveis.

Service… you have to tell them twice before getting what you requested. There was no face towel or hand towel in our room until we asked. The receptionist did not tell us the whole detail when we checked in, i.e. no complimentary drinks and no wifi password info was given until we asked. However there was a family of foreigners that checked in and I saw how the checked in process was done. I told the receptionist that she needs to be fair with her customers. Also, Location is almost 30 minutes away from the town proper. Never again at Isla Amara resort.

Leider haben wir das Hotel mit gemischten Gefühlen verlassen. Toll war die Lage fast direkt am Strand, am Lio Beach ist eine super Atmosphäre. Die Unterkunft und der Pool Bereich sind schick, wenn auch in die Jahre gekommen.

Leider muss ich den früheren Bewertungen recht geben. Es ist auf den 1. Blick ein schickes Hotel, allerdings merkt man, dass es ohne jegliche Liebe geführt wird. Wir mussten beim Check in um 14 Uhr noch „kurz“ (1 Stunde) auf unser Zimmer warten, so ging es scheinbar neben uns allen Gästen. Die Zimmer sind abgenutzt und teilweise kaputt. Das Frühstück ist einfach. Touren und Rollerverleih sind im Hotel überteuert. Das Personal wirkte oft genervt.

Das Personal ist sehr nett, vor allem an der Rezeption. Grossteils sehr junges Personal. Gratis Abholung vom Airport. Die sehr nahe Lage zum Strand. Zimmer war sehr laut (neben Rezeption),wurde auf Anfrage geändert.

Das Frühstück war nicht gut. Am Gang knallen die Türen, beim nicht rechtzeitigen versperren, geht der Alarm los. Personal ist mit ihren walki talki sehr laut und störend, vor allem frühs. Andere Gäste quatschen laut am Gang, sodass nicht nur wir um Ruhe gebeten haben um 6:30 Uhr. Betten etwas hart. Preisleistung stimmt nicht, mit der Leistung.

The property was conveniently located, literally five minutes from the airport. There was no aircraft noise. The beach is literally on the doorstep. Everything you want or need is on the resort. No need to hit the town - unless you’re after something noisier. And the staff are the real gem of this place. Extremely friendly and accommodating - and nothing was a problem.

No negatives to report. Except for the dodgy ATM machine that took my debit card, shut down and never returned it. But that wasn’t under the hotel’s control.

based on my own experience 1. i waited for 30mins before i can finally check in to mu room. my check in time is 2pm but they endorsed the keycard to me past 30mins already. 2. there is no toilet paper available inside the comfort room. 3. the door keeps on alarming upon closing the door. you ned ro slam the door so it wont alarm.

Excellente expérience chez Island Amara ! C’est l’endroit idéal où séjourner à El Nido. Ne vous laissez surtout pas décourager par la proximité de l’aéroport : les avions ne gênent absolument pas, et au contraire, les voir décoller et atterrir depuis la plage apporte une distraction originale et agréable, sans nuisance sonore notable. Cet hôtel est une véritable bulle de tranquillité, loin de l’agitation de la ville. Le cadre est magnifique : piscine immense, plage extraordinaire, ambiance chaleureuse, et une cuisine délicieuse, avec des plats très bien présentés et savoureux. Mention spéciale à Claire et Hanz pour leur accueil exceptionnel : souriants, attentionnés et très professionnels. Leur gentillesse a réellement contribué à rendre notre séjour encore plus mémorable. Un vrai plus : la proximité de l’aéroport nous a permis de profiter plus longtemps de la plage tout en étant sereins pour notre vol. Le centre d’El Nido est à environ 15 minutes, avec des tricycles (tuk-tuk) disponibles régulièrement pour environ 300 pesos. Je recommande vivement Island Amara et j’y retournerai avec grand plaisir !

Nous avions réservé une chambre avec vue sur la piscine, mais des travaux de rénovation du parquet étaient en cours, ce qui a malheureusement bloqué la vue. C’est un peu dommage, d’autant plus que les travaux semblaient avancer assez lentement.

Para el precio que tiene esperas que los detalles estén más cuidados. Se nota el desgaste y la falta de mantenimiento en algunas zonas y partes de las instalaciones y las habitaciones. Está alejado de El Nido town, lo que supone un gasto extra para desplazarte. Los restaurantes que hay cerca, son buenos pero el precio es bastante alto para ser Filipinas

We had bed bugs in our room. And we didn’t find out about it until the day we check out. Now I’m concerned if some got to our clothings and may have brought them home

The staff were generally helpful, though they appeared to lack effective communication skills. It was also disappointing that there was no alternative option provided for airport transfer when their service was unavailable, which forced us to return to our previous hotel—thankfully, our previous hotel generously accommodated us by providing transportation. During breakfast, the staff were noticeably loud behind the kitchen area, which disrupted the dining experience while guests were eating. The room itself was acceptable; however, there was visible dust or possible mold behind the headboard and in the bathroom. Some fixtures were already falling apart, and the air-conditioning was not functioning properly, making the room uncomfortably hot.

A dream come true. Paradise on earth is located in Lio Beach, 1 KM from Lio Airport. Right from the reception, lobby, room, pool, restaurant, sports zone every place had a rich flavour and romantic fragrance. Take a walk of 50 meters and you reach the beach, dancing green waves, dusky sand, and a bridge to the sea. The room is well decorated, with a beautiful balcony and has a comfortable mattress to sleep. The hotel staff are beautiful, professional, kind and loving.

Direkt nebenan wird gebaut!!! Ab 7:45 Uhr morgens bis abends war sowohl auf den Zimmern, als auch am Pool war Baulärm. Eine Info vorab wäre wünschenswert gewesen, dies hätte meine Buchungsentscheidung beeinflusst

Isla Amara was everything and more than we expected for our vacation. Clean and nice, everything worked for us. Staff is nice and ready to help when you need something. We booked our tour via hotel too. Breakfast is not same what you are used to in a western hotel, but we liked it still. Omelette was good and otherwise it varied a bit every day. Area itself is perfect for relaxing. And restaurants are just a one minute walk from the hotel. They are a bit more expensive than in the city, but thats expected. The beach is nice if you like waves, also possible to rent a surfboard for 500p/hour. If I come back to El nido, will come back to Isla Amara as well.

Only negative thing is that the doors are not very soundproof, that might bother someone who is a light and late sleeper.

It is close to Rio Beach. Just a walking distance away. And close to restaurants as well. Rooms were clean.

Nice and clean! Well-maintained hotel. The personnel are super helpful and kind, which made our stay very pleasant. The pool is also lovely.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was definitely bad. If they improve the food, this place would be better. Restaurant was indoor and freezing cold.

Very good about 15 minutes from Bacuit, and about a 30 minutes from the beautiful Nacpan beach! Perfect for hiring scooters. Clean pretty and modern hotel. Need to improve breakfast and the restaurant lack atmosphere but other places around.

My stay at Isla Amara Boutique Resort was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and accommodating, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The rooms were spotless, beautifully maintained, and smelled fresh and relaxing. The entire resort has a calm and elegant ambiance that’s perfect for unwinding. The swimming pool was clean, refreshing, and well-maintained—ideal for relaxing during the day. Food was another highlight. Everything we tried was delicious, especially the Amara Burger, which is a must-try. A lovely bonus was the free ice cream from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which added a fun and thoughtful touch to the guest experience. The restaurant service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the resort is peaceful and well-organized. You can really feel the care and effort the team puts into guest satisfaction. Highly recommended for anyone visiting El Nido. Isla Amara Boutique Resort truly delivers comfort, great food, excellent service, and a relaxing tropical experience. We will definitely come back!

schlechte Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Hotel und Zimmer sind heruntergekommen, obwohl sie ziemlich neu sind. leider waren die Zimmer nicht wirklich sauber.. Glasscheiben Badezimmer sonstiges wurde, wie es aussieht noch nie gereinigt. Ziemlich ekelhaft! Das Frühstücksbuffet Basia mager nicht einmal Cerealien haben sie nachgefüllt und sie alle sind. Wenn das Personal aufgefordert wird etwas auch nachzubessern. Hören wir oft gibt es nicht ist alle oder momentan nicht verfügbar.. leider überhaupt nicht lösungsorientiert Zudem ist neben dem Hotel direkt eine Baustelle . Ebenfalls hat uns gestört, dass es überall sehr laut war. Das Personal nimmt keine Rücksicht auch morgens. . Ich kann dieses Hotel leider wirklich nicht weiter empfehlen. Ich werde den Aufenthalt eine Punktzahl von 4 von zehn p geben. Zu den hatten wir auch oft abends ab 23:00 Uhr kein Wasser mehr um zu duschen . Aus meiner Sicht für ein solches Hotel völlig in akzeptabel..

El personal es fantastico...cada persona que trabaja alli lo hacen como si fuera propio el hotel. Inmejorable ubicación...ideal para familias. Desayuno bueno.

The room was recently painted and paint marks all over the floor and furniture. The room smelt of turpentine /spirit the entire stay. The TV didn’t work maybe due to the typhoon.

It's a nicely designed boutique accommodation which is close to restaurants and stores. Room is spacious enough and we have everything we needed except for a working safe. The hospitality and service of Claire was top notch. Jessa from reservations, Hanz and Kian made our stay and our friends' stay comfortable. They have a small pool which is about right for the size of the property. Breakfast selection is small but satisfactory for our stay. They have softserve at 4pm which was a nice touch. Overall, I would recommend this location.

The safety deposit box is old and not functional. Whilst the front desk did offer to have it fixed, we opted out. I hope these are upgraded. Also, noticed the pool isn't cleaned up which was kind of strange.
