Facillity and Room Comfort was good.

1st Floor Room was very noisy from nearby Main Street (Street racers) and working Staff from the Bar/Restaurant below till late night.

Quand je suis arrivé tard le soir, la personne au guichet n'a pas voulu que je me gare sur le parking de l'hotel alors qu'il y avait de la place !!

La ubicación y la sauna!!!! Está a un paso de todo...del bus del aeropuerto...de la oficina de alquiler de coches....del bus al pueblo de Santa Claus,de todos los restaurantes y centros comerciales. Y el desayuno....espectacular.

I would say this is the best location. Everything is from walking distance. The staff were friendly. Next trip is already booked! See you next month again!

Nothing. We weren't able to get a room, even though we paid for it.

If you are a senior, you should not stay at this hotel. We arrived in the morning, and of course we were told it was too early to check in. I told the receptionist that we are 74, and that I had been receiving medical treatment for my leg, and it was hard to walk. We came back 2.5 hours later, and she said rooms were available, but we wouldn't give one to us unless we paid for an early arrival (by then, it was 1:30 pm!). I came back again. She insisted we wait until 4:00 pm. By then, I was in considerable pain. I told her that I would give a bad review, and she replied "okay." I wrote to the manager, but she intercepted the message. I wrote later that day, and never received a reply. I am an international traveler. I have never experienced such cruelty from a hotel staff member before. In the end, we switched hotels. As my wife said, "why stay in a hotel that doesn't want you?"

Scandic Rovaniemi City is pretty much what you expect from a Scandic hotel. It feels familiar and reliable. The staff were friendly, the prices were as expected, and it was a big plus that they had pet-friendly rooms. The location is excellent. The hotel is right in the centre of Rovaniemi, and you can walk to almost everything. Our room was a good size and very clean. We also had our own private sauna, which was a nice bonus. It was tiny – perfect for two adults, maybe three if you don’t mind getting very close! The room had good blackout curtains, but there was some noise from outside. The beds were okay, but nothing special. I personally prefer a softer and more comfortable hotel bed, but everyone has different preferences. The breakfast was the weakest part of our stay. On the first morning, the scrambled eggs were far too runny. I like creamy scrambled eggs, but these were almost liquid and I couldn’t eat them. On the second morning, they were much better, maybe even a little dry. The bacon was also strange. It came in small square pieces and looked and tasted more like fried ham than normal bacon. If this really is bacon, I think Scandic should consider a different product. I wasn’t a big fan of the juice machine either. The juice tasted more like water mixed with concentrate than fresh juice. But the breakfast wasn’t all bad. There was a good choice of bread, cold cuts and other toppings. The baked goods were also good. The cinnamon rolls were sticky, sweet and very tasty. Breakfast: 5/10 Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, the location is excellent, and having a private sauna was a nice extra. The breakfast could definitely be better, but I would still happily consider staying here again. Overall experience: 7/10

Todella hyvät sängyt ja peitot, kiva huone kadulle päin ylimmästä kerroksesta. Kiva saunaosasto. Hyvä ja monipuolinen aamiainen. Hiljainen huone ja hyvä sijainti.

Naisten saunan pukuhuoneen oven eteen voisi laittaa verhon tai muun näköesteen koska ovea avatessa voi kuka tahansa joka kulkee käytävällä nähdä alastomia naisia!

We stayed at this hotel as a family of four. Unfortunately, the property feels quite old and doesn’t seem to have had any recent renovations or refurbishment. The upholstery on one of the chairs was torn and hanging off, and the mattress for the sofa bed was extremely dirty, which was very disappointing. The only reasons I would consider staying here again are the family rooms, which include a sofa bed so a family of four doesn’t need to book two separate hotel rooms, and the breakfast, which was actually very good with a nice selection of food. Overall, the hotel has potential, but it is in clear need of renovation and better maintenance. The hotel is probably so popular because of the extremely high number of tourists visiting Rovaniemi during the season and the limited accommodation options available. It also attracts many families, as the family rooms with sofa beds are a practical and cost-effective option. However, its popularity should not come at the expense of cleanliness and proper maintenance.

Breakfast, bike rental, kind stuff.

The room had the window to the inner part of the hotel so you could watch the people eating in the restaurant. It made you the curtains being closed all the time and the light on. Meanwhile during the night the same curtains let the light inside the room.

Aamiainen oli hyvä ja tila rauhallinen! Huone oli siisti.
