Beds, customer service, breakfast etc. Just nothing great. Room wasn't ready for over an hour after check in time.

Absolutely loved the breakfast, the attendant was so kind and it was great that it was available so early as we had an early start to get back home. The bed was super comfy, and the room very cute. Love the mid century building. Also great central location

I was very excited to experience the pool and hot tub, but unfortunately for us, even in the evening it was full of loud obnoxious children- not the vibe we were looking for. Never got to get in the hot tub with my partner, as it felt inappropriate to do so with little kids in there splashing around. We were looking for a romantic wine country feel, and this was not it. It also felt very expensive for a motel, and the young woman who checked us in definitely could have been friendlier. On a side note, I also believe I left my favorite pair of sunglasses in a white leather case in the room, which is obviously my fault but if anyone has seen them I'd love to hear back!!

Very clean and updated. Nice staff. Fairly close to useful amenities.

The hotel is close the Hwy 101. The pool/hot tub with lots of seating.

our 2nd visit this summer. reno’d older motel w terrific staff, nice bkf by the pool, one min off fwy but quiet and one minute to trader joe’s to stick up for bay area visits!

Pool was perfect for fun time with family! Room was clean.

Outdoor pool was cool but big. Breakfast had a small area to get food from so bog down. Then pool area with food had very little places to sit.

There was a lot of activity going on during my stay. It wasn’t clear if the people at the pool, bar and outdoor fire area were actual hotel patrons. Bed was uncomfortable. I expected better room accommodations for the price.

The pool and hot tub were amazing!!! Front desk women were amazing! I had meetings till 12:30 and those angels let me check out a bit later. It was extremely helpful. The breakfast was fantastic too. Great location!

Overall, 7/10. High marks for staff, and location to what I needed to accomplish in Santa Rosa. Parking and outside grounds clean. Love walking distance to Trader Joe's. Room was comfortable. Liked the AC on upon arrival. Lower marks for noise. Room was next to breezeway. People were noisy, cell phone use, car music and smoking outside was annoying. Light fixtures above sink in room filthy. Dust, film and fingerprints visible. It was like it was cleaned multiple times with oily rag and subsequent visitors touched it to determine if it was recent or old. I did not use pool or eat breakfast. Both were very busy.

Santa Rosa appears old and tired. Cleveland Avenue has homeless lying in street and weeds growing high encourage garbage to collect and increase fire risk. You would think the City would be in prevention mode after the Tubbs fire.

This was a great hotel! We came for a lacrosse tournament and to see family. The hotel felt fancy and the staff were super helpful and friendly. The pool vibe was just what we were hoping for... family friendly! It was convenient to have the bar right there! The hot breakfast was great and met everyone 's needs in our family.

The set up for breakfast was a bit chaotic and disorganized. People didn't know where to start. The plates and silverware were set up in the middle of the waffle maker and the hot line set up. People were confused where to start. The line gor backed up by the waffle maker. The pool ran out of towels. Those are the only complaints we had.

Location was great and clean. Breakfast was nice and the pool was clean and a great size. We enjoyed the propane fire pits as well. Overall had a nice stay!

Nothing really, power went out so the DJ left at the pool but that’s not anyone’s fault. 🤣

It’s always reliable! The pool area is super fun including a nice bar that’s open in the afternoon. The breakfast is also really nice and quite tasty. The rooms have a nice sized fridge and everything you need for a comfortable getaway or staycation. It’s really close to the 101, gas stations, Trader Joe’s, and restaurants, so it’s a great travel stop on your road trip.

Breakfast was pretty good. Loved the room decor.

There needs to be a sign, and reinforcement of the rule, that the hot tub is intended for adults not children. Children dangling their feet in the hot tub and horsing around in it made it impossible for me to even consider sitting and relaxing in it. It obviously was not hot enough. Toys and floaties in it, too!

The TV did not have pairing capabilities… Also when I tried to sign in to my account the HDMI could not support the movies from Netflix and Prime… very disappointing

Thieves. Do NOT Stay Here. Consider this your warning: do not stay at this hotel. My brother-in-law accidentally left his toiletry bag in the room after we checked out. Inside was a very expensive watch, along with cologne and beard oil. As we were leaving, we even saw the housekeeper just a few rooms away, so we never imagined there would be an issue. When we arrived at our next hotel, he realized he had forgotten the bag and immediately called. He was told housekeeping had already left for the day and to call back the following morning. The next morning, the hotel confirmed they had found his bag. He drove an hour back to retrieve it, only to discover that the watch, cologne, and beard oil were missing. Because of the value of the watch, a police report was filed and a detective has been assigned to investigate. Someone had access to his belongings while they were in the hotel’s possession, and valuable items disappeared before they were returned. That is completely unacceptable. Until management takes responsibility and addresses what happened, we cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. We will also be sharing our experience on social media to help warn other travelers. Stay somewhere else

It was cute, conveniently located and they offered a nice breakfast.

For how nice the place was the tv stand had old deep damage on it. Seemed odd that they would have not fixed that. Also the ceiling was a different color creating a fence shui effect that made the room feel super short.

Man at the check in was not friendly and could have been more accommodating when I told him I didn't have my ID with me. I offered a photo of my ID and he said he couldn't use a copy. The breakfast was terrible AND the area for getting food was way to crowded with no place to sit inside. It was a cool overcast day, so I didn't want to sit outside.

Amazing pool! Rooms were very clean with everything you need on site. The staff was incredibly friendly.

Unfortunately, the refrigerator was left open with two very wet towels inside - apparently mopping up spills or defrosting and I couldn't use. Additionally the coffee maker was broken, which I didn't discover until 5am when I went to make myself an early coffee. I did try to go to the office and get coffee, but it was left over from the night before.

Well maintained with nice clean rooms, friendly staff, and a great breakfast. An excellent value. Plus yoga classes on the weekend!

The groundskeeping can get a bit noisy

The room was spacious and well-appointed and the bed was comfortable. They offer a pretty good breakfast too.

It was very busy when we arrived and the check-in took a LONG time. Loud music in the pool area did not feel relaxing!

kind staff, nice mix of guest ages so pool breakfast was friendly and quietly entertaining. room AC control wasn’t working, front desk sent service rep asap, chgd battery. trader joe’s very close. we come up to visit son in east bay, can fly in late to sta rosa, o-nt here, shop TJ and drive to pt richmond. way easier than 10hr drive :)

The rooms have had a major makeover

Outside, visually, still looks pretty sketchy but I’m guessing that’s also in the works to be fixed up. Also, the floor AC/heater unit was very loud

Beautiful curb appeal and location based on our needs while in Santa Rosa.

The beds are EXTREMELY uncomfortable. Also, a mentally ill woman was yelling obscenities in the parking lot in the early evening, then the next morning she approached me which made me feel rather uncomfortable. She pounded on my car window asking us to call her father and some guy after telling us she was high, drunk and mentally ill. This is not necessarily a problem with the hotel, but where was security/courtesy patrol when she was screaming outside of the room?

I liked the hot tub. My son and boyfriend liked the pool and hot tub. My son liked the fitness room. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff I encountered were very nice. Breakfast was good as well.

I didn't like getting to my room after checking in and my keys not working. I had to go back to the front desk where I was asked if I held the keys next to my phone or something. No lady, you did not sync the keys to my room in the first place. She was really nice, just distracted with phone calls when I first checked in.

Room was your standard room which was clean but lacking any pictures!! This hotel is in the Napa valley a couple of pictures on the wall would elevate my ratings. As it is I cannot give it a higher rating as you are looking at nothing but white walls.

I stated it was my 30th birthday in the booking and they didn’t acknowledge it. The rooms were not the cleanest. There was a dried apple under the counter, hairs in the corners of the bathroom, ect. It also gets a bit loud. Not sure if they enforce any quiet hours. When I went to breakfast they did not have water available and when I asked the attendant she said I could go to the front desk.

Great looking property, feels like it’s been renovated recently or just maintained really well. The gentleman that checked us in was super helpful. Huge bed.

The room had a very strong cigarette smell TV didn’t work.

No dining height table with 2 chairs in the room. A comfortable arm chair is always nice, as is sufficient drawer space for clothing. The included breakfast menu doesn’t change often enough for those staying more than 1 night

I was impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The cost was very reasonable. The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and the location was fantastic. If I have to stay in Santa Rosa again, I will definitely go back to the Sandman. Great value for the money.

The only negativity I might say is that coming out of the hotel you had to turn right and go down and make a U-turn to go back the other way. So if that’s the only negative thing, you know things were very nice.

The room was good sized and well kept. The included breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, toast, yogurt, and cereal. The room had a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster oven. The only issue was that the freezer did not refresh mu I’ve pack for my insulin.

It was very clean, and the landscaping was very well maintained, the cleaning staff was absolutely wonderful and very accommodating.

Location was great for my needs. Don't believe they had a breakfast. The room was large, nice large TV, quiet.

We had no hot water for 48 hours, from the time we checked in until 7 pm the night before we checked out. People were outside our room two nights in a row talking loudly. There was trash all over the walkway when we came out in the morning. The manager seems to NEVER be at the property. We tried to speak to them multiple times and they were never there. Even Booking.com has tried to speak to them and has been unable to get them. I feel that a discounted rate or a free night is not too much to ask for the inconvenience we suffered, but instead I was charged $15 more than the guaranteed rate. I would not stay here again or recommend it for anyone else

Staff was friendly, pet welcome sign in the office was very cute.

There were visible spiderwebs in our room, the AC unit had a buildup of grime in the slats, the power situation was with a power strip, also very dirty looking. The phone had build up on it. The hutch that held the fridge had exposed raw wood. The door frame had damage the was clear our door had been kicked in before, it did not make us feel safe. The bathroom had grime on the walls, shower has clearly missed spots that had not been properly cleaned. We also paid for a 2 queen bed room, but the beds felt like full size.

I liked the area and building itself, the room was cute.

The bed was like sleeping on a brick, there was no YouTube or anything else other than Tubi on the television. I don't know if it was the people that were there that day but everyone seemed shady and up to no good. Staff was unfriendly and someone was knocking on every door on the middle of the night and lots of yelling from other guests. Not a great stay.

Always clean. No issues and we visit here frequently.

I asked for a packed breakfast to take to the airport for an early flight, but was given a "no".

My room smelled bad. The odor would not go away after leaving the window open to air out. Like a smoking room? Big barking dog next door. More of a motel than hotel.
