The hotel had a lovely luxurious feel. The finishes are to a very high standard and the customer service was outstanding. For breakfast there was everything you could possibly want, both chinese and western, and our room was extremly spacious and comfortable. Very good value for money.

The location is out of the centre, but right next to a subway/metro station, so it is easy to get in to central Xi'an. It's also a short taxi ride to Xi'an North railway station, which suited us better.

De kamer was mooi en de locatie perfect om de stad te verkennen. Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam, vooral de concierges. Uitgebreid ontbijt, maar 's ochtends om 9.00u lange wachttijd (35 minuten!) om plaats te kunnen nemen.

Helaas moesten we bij aankomst 1,5 uur wachten op onze kamer. Als compensatie kregen we een voucher voor een drankje in de lobbybar. Daar werden we echter weggestuurd, omdat alle vrije zitplekken “gereserveerd” zouden zijn. Zo mochten we niet plaatsnemen op een vrij bankstel tegenover een ander bankstel waar al twee mensen zaten, zogenaamd omdat die hele zithoek voor hen gereserveerd was. Hierdoor bezetten twee personen een hele zithoek voor acht. We mochten van het personeel uiteindelijk nergens zitten en zijn toen maar buiten gaan rondlopen. Erg teleurstellend en slecht geregeld.

De tudo. Quartos espaçosos, super limpos. O acesso ao lounge é uma excelente comodidade pois permitia fazer um snack após as horas de almoço ou jantar sobretudo para quem tem crianças que era o nosso caso.

If you have to take a train to Xianbei (Xi’an north international railway) this hotel is the best. Beautiful and is just to 10 minutes by car to the station

This felt like a real premium hotel with great rooms, lobby area for tea, pool and a great buffet for breakfast! We really enjoyed it It’s convenient for the metro (and hence Xi’an North Station), the airport. It’s the best side of town for the Terracotta Warriors and Jingdi mausoleum too. There’s a nice Mall next door.

Our room was configured in a strange way (considering this is the land of Feng Shui!) with the bath and basin in the middle of the room I understand the pool asking for people to wear swimming caps in the pool. I don’t understand the ridiculously high prices of those on sale at the pool, for those who have no cap already. Don’t forget your swimming caps and don’t let them get away with this!! The trade-off for staying to the North of the City is that it does take a while to get to the walls, Dayanta, and the Muslim area. The metro is good, but it’s a long way! Don’t go too late to breakfast - the best stuff runs out quickly

Hotel au niveau des standards internationaux pour cette classe d'hôtels. Le petit-déjeuner est très bon. Nous avons eu un souci avec la réservation booking, la chambre n'était pas adaptée à notre groupe car les lits doubles sont trop petits pour 2 grands gabarits et le prix avait baissé de 500cny depuis la réservation initiale plusieurs mois à l'avance, soit le prix d'une suite ! Mais le personnel nous a trouvé une solution en nous relogeant dans une suite avec lit d'appoint très confortable.

Les lits doubles de 1.35m de large et Booking.com qui ne prévient pas des baisses de tarifs.

Poor management

This is hands down a fantastic hotel, with the well known standard of the IC-chain. I am a frequent traveler both for business and leisure and this was the best bed I’ve ever slept in at a hotel, spacious and moden rooms, amazing breakfast, and much more. Unfortunately, there are some middle age men with large keychains in their belt that runs around -especially in the reception area - shouting loudly at each other and staff. Nothing more than what some hospitality training can correct. In addition the hotel has a large water mirror in the front so there are some mosquitos both outside and in public areas inside the hotel. An experience normally found in far cheaper establishments. But by all means: this hotel do a very decent job overall - and will deliver an excellent night’s sleep!

We booked 50m2 2 king size beds, got smaller unit 120-130cm wide beds ( I have 120kg ) and told us that this was what we booked, Also, wanted to charge for breakfast because aparently, our kids we're too big for what we booked. Kids are 7&8 and they said they charge when over 120 in height or 12yo. Both are 140ish. Bad staff more or less. Never again...

Lovely breakfast with plenty of variety . Good change from the old City accommodations . Right next to a huge shopping mall for last minute shopping before flying off.

This is one of the best hotel I have ever been. Excellent food, staff, swimming pool, room, bathtub! Location is great too next to nice shopping malls and close to the train and close to the warriors!

Generally excellent although a/c not functioning

The room was upgraded to level 21 for us as we have booked 3 rooms, and hope to stay on the same floor. The room is very spacious, new and clean, its a 5-star standard. View from our room is unblocked and beautiful. Breakfast spread is excellent and really worth the money. It will be a good choice if you like to be nearer to the Railway station which is about 10 mins' drive away.

Location is farer from the city, so commuting to the attractions in XiAn will take longer time.

Located near train station and 10mins car ride from Xian North Station. Breakfast buffet is high quality with wide variety. Room is beautiful and clean. Garden view is unblocked and amazing. The staff are helpful too, the doorman even helped to book our cab when our DIDI app couldn’t work.

Perfect Stay – Friendly Service, Comfortable, and Convenient Location! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an incredibly friendly and helpful staff who made me feel right at home. They were always smiling, eager to assist with anything, and their kindness truly stood out throughout my entire stay. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and very quiet, providing a peaceful and comfortable environment. The housekeeping team was thorough, ensuring that the room was pristine each day. I was also impressed by the abundance of towels provided – more than enough for both bath and pool use, which is always a nice touch! One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast. I’d rate it a solid 9 out of 10. There was a great variety of both Western and Chinese cuisines, so you could easily find something to suit your tastes. I particularly enjoyed the freshly made dim sum and the selection of Western breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, and pastries. It was a perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore. The hotel also features an amazing indoor pool, which was a real treat after a long day of sightseeing. The pool area is very clean and well-maintained, with both dry and wet saunas available for guests. The locker room facilities were spotless and offered everything you need for a comfortable experience. One thing to note is that you are required to wear a swim cap, which costs about $10 if you don’t bring your own. It's a small fee for such a great facility, and it made for a relaxing and refreshing experience. The location is also unbeatable. The hotel is right next to a mall with tons of food options and plenty of shops to browse, so you're never far from a good meal or some shopping therapy. If you need your coffee fix, Starbucks is just a two-minute walk away, which was perfect for me.

Americans don't like cold pancakes and waffles. I would recommend anyone who wants a hot waffle or pancake, just request a fresh one. It took 90 seconds. Other than that everything was PERFECT.

President Intercontinental Hotel at Xi An China, is an excellent hotel, it is an old hotel, very well maintained, with luxurious rooms, bathroom, very soft and comfortable bed linen, awesome view to the sports park in Xi An, reminds me Central Park in New York City and Reforma Ave. In Mexico City. Very good service and attention from the staff.

the staff was very kind and helpful. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We had a fantastic breakfast. Its location is very good. The view from the room is amazing. We will definitely be back. I recommend the hotel to everyone.

People mostly aren't aware that this chain of hotels began as one of the most legendary airlines in history, Pan Am. Juan Trippe, legendary enemy of Howard Hughes, still remains with us today in the presence of Intercontinental Hotels. I've stayed with them in the Willard Hotel that they painstakingly restored in Washington, D.C. and in a wonderful twist, I now stay with Intercontinental again, in Xi'an, for China's National Week. The service has been attentive, the room expansive, and the food full of local flavor and craft and care. I would recommend their places here to anyone at any time. They truly stretch across continents these days, not just across the Americas.

Had an excellent stay at the Intercontinental with interconnected rooms for 5 (suite to.a twin plus 1) Staff was excellent and Executive lounge access had a good variety. Location was perfect next to a huge mall with plenty of food choices Buffer breakfast had a large variety of Chinese and western choices Rooms were clean and well maintained.

Beds are really too small. We booked for 4 persons, I guess the 2 beds were each 130cm wide, max.

Excellent hotel all round. they recognised our IHG Ambassador membership and upgraded us to a Junior Suite. The Cub InterContinental was really spacious, modern, the evening cocktail service was above average, staff friendly and spoke good English. The Gym was small but functional, did not use other facilities this time as only stayed one night n transit to another city. The rooms are modern and spacious. We had breakfast in the main restaurant, had one of the best eggs benedict! Overall, a great hotel, highly recommended.

安靜整潔環境，附近也很方便，有捷運和商場，可惜入住期間遇到幾晚有人抽菸，透過空調傳到房內，空調關掉後，菸味久久未散，飯店對這點也無能為力！只能讓我們換房，換房之後還是有菸味，最後只能開窗關空調。早餐無變化，點了熱咖啡，送來都是溫咖啡，每次都要強調需要溫度高一點的咖啡！

The hotel is PERFECT. The facility is beautiful and well-thought to match the history of Xi'an. The lobby is spacious with lots of seating space. The pull-up for the car is also large and never crowded. If you prefer subway, the station is easily walkable. The best part of this hotel is the staff. I do not have enough vocabulary express how well Genral Manager Jimmy runs the hotel. He himself is a superman, but each hotel has their own ethics on how to deliver top-level service. Front desk, lobby manager, and club lounge staff were excellent. My husband was especially impressed with how often the gym changing room was cleaned. I was also happily surprised about the level of maintenance of the swimming pool and the lockers. The level of professionalism extends from the GM to all of the staff. I have stayed at numerous ihg hotels, including Intercontinental in North America, Europe, Asia, and of course, China. Ihg group hotels assure a certain level of quality, and we are never disappointed. However, I would confidently say this is one of the BEST RUN hotels among ihg group. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this to everyone and anyone we know as the TOP 1 hotel in Xi'an!

The location is very close to the shopping mall, and the space of the room is large and feels very comfy.

I reserved for four days and three nights, however the breakfast looks the same every day.

I checked in ard lunch time. I left my luggage there and went out for lunch. After I m back，the room was ready but I still need to carry my luggage to my room. I would have expected my luggage is in my room when it is ready. There is no service for the breakfast. Tea pots were empty and i need to send the tea pot to kitchen myself for hot water. I cannot find anyone to help. People wearing in blue and white uniform said they only do cleaning job and i need to find a waiter then walked away. Buy where is the guy？！ I am trying to take one or two breads for my 4-year old son （we planned to visit Hua shan so I would like get a few breads in case he gets hungury）. I asked someone to see if i can get a box but i wad told i cannot do that unless i paid for one extra breakfast. Well done！ Everyone，from toilet ayi to swimming poor staff are looking at their cellphone almost all the time. This is a well decorated but poorly managed hotel and thats why i seldom chose IHG for my stays

No breakfast included. The prices of all meals were too expensive.

A outwardly looking high quality hotel. But staff inability to use their pos units to process prepayments on my western credit cards, lack of communication soured the experience. They are not trained to take preauthorisation on international Visa cards which require a pin code. It is always embarrassing when your cards don’t work. Later my card company said my card was fine and the problem was the way the receptionist was putting the transaction through. a second attempt to sort the problem out on day two seemed to be successful and people were all smiles. But in fact they had only succeeded in prepaying a room extension I needed. Later that night at 11pm I was back down to pay for a room service snack because they had still not taken a deposit. The staff are polite and professional but lack some empathy and flexibility to deal with such situations.

The major reason why I would choose Intercontinental rather than other competitor luxury hotel brands, is that I can feel both LUXURY and WARM from it. And, during my multiple stays happened in the whole of last year, I am glad to witness that the Intercontinental Xi'an North, just a case in point to demonstrate this virtue, is keeping going well and gaining popularity among folks. And I believe the powerful and efficient management from top to bottom is not the only cause behind ... When you enter the lobby, someone will instantly inquire if any assistance is required, which you don't always experience at other hotels... When you leave off your kid in the restaurant for a second during the breakfast, someone will instantly help to look after your baby for you in case you would worry about them, which you don't always experience at other hotels... And when you feel tired, getting back into your room after a whole day of travel, you will be instantly touched by everything cleaned and tidied up, which you don't always experience at other hotels... Literally, every little thing makes a difference, which is especially true when it comes to service industries. And every details in service mainly account for the whole experience and subjective feelings that a guest can tell. Once the first impression is well established, the virtue & reputation will be spread out from one to another, back and forth, and eventually a positive circle will be perfectly formed. I see LUXURY from its interior design by the legendary CCD team, its facilities such as a Schindler elevator or a Duravit bathroom accessories, and its amenities such as a Dyson Hair Dryer or a Nespresso coffee machine. Well I also feel WARM from every genuine smile on hotel staffs' faces, every appropriate turned-down service, and every delicately made Chinese cuisine. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Eva Wang, Ms. Amanda Li and Ms. Elaine Xiang from the Dept. of Front Office, who always offered me generous help whenever it is possible, and also Ms. Ella Guo from Dept. of F&B, who helped me a lot, especially when I tried and managed to host a small catering party for my friends. I like the hotel not only because of the facilities or cleanliness or location. I like hotels when the staff knows what good customer service is. And I think their customer service here at InterContinental North Xian is excellent! They even upgraded my room king size bed with a nice view. Love it!

What a fabulous hotel & staff! Nothing was too much trouble & many spoke good English. Stayed there for a weeks vacation, very clean & comfortable as you’d expect. We booked airport pickup & drop off which was professionally done by Dillon - very friendly & explained a lot about the city. Our room had super views of the city, very clean & the attendant on our floor was very friendly. They have a Grill restaurant on the top floor called Char - fabulous food & service; breakfast was on the 1st floor, great variety & freshness- super quality. Came 10mins late a couple times & the staff helped to get us what we wanted. Kids had lunch at their buffet & thoroughly enjoyed the selection. Executive Lounge was well appointed, lovely staff & nice happy hour arrangement. I had to spend time working there & always able to find a quiet spot. We had our wedding anniversary during our stay & hadn’t told anyone. Concierge helped me to buy flowers on the day & later that evening housekeeping prepared a special turndown for us!! So surprised! We met the General Manager, Jimmy Wang, several times as he was always around in the lobby. A clear sign of someone who cares greatly about their guests experience. He was extremely friendly & hospitable which shows in his staff. All in all a wonderful stay & we will be back!

Albeit as a newly opened hotel, Daven at front desk was very diligent about hearing my ranting. The main drawback is that the AC was too warm to someone coming from southern China. The amenity was awesome, and TWG tea was beyond satisfaction. Furthermore, this property does honour IHG membership. Regarding interior, the interior is fairly new and perfectly included the culture foundation of Ancient Xi'an City.

To be honest, the Intercontinental Xian North is NOT the kind that will sweep me off my feet at first. By the time of my first stay at this one, I had already experienced several other Intercontinental hotels, such as the Chengdu Global Centre, the Heilong Lake, the Sanya Resort, and the Sanya Haitang Bay Resort, each of which, without any exceptions, is of a resort type and with a distinct characteristic appropriate for parent-and-child vacations. So the aforementioned stay experiences left me with a rigid impression of the INTERCONTINENTAL brand. Therefore, it is no wonder that the Intercontinental Xian North, with its strong commercial distinction and business features, had a huge gap when compared to what I had expected previously. However, my confidence upon it are not built up in one stay. Instead, I am glad to witness that, this hotel as long as its staffs have been doing better and better during recent months, in terms of multiple aspects. First of all, the Front Desk part. The other day I tried to notify the front desk staff about my car plate before I could pull out with parking fee waived. After I did that, then a hotel staff named Elaine Xiang (who I knew later is the Guest Service Manager) came to me. She asked whether I needed to pull in and pull out multiple times, and if the answer was yes, she would like to register my car plate during my whole stay period, so that I could park my car without any further concerns, i.e. without having to ask for help every time. At that moment I was truly touched by Elaine's PROACTIVE approach, as well as her service awareness, which is the first "little thing" for me to re-build up my confidence upon Intercontinental Xi'an North. Second, the guest room part. I am very glad to see that, all the bottles of Evergrande Spring are now replaced with 5100 Natural Glacial Mineral Water in every guest room on Executive Floors. Well, as for the latter (5100 Mineral Water), I always take it as a piece of criterion to judge whether a hotel is above average level or not. And this little change can truly make a difference, at least from every frequent traveler member's viewpoint. Besides, the guest room inner part is always tidy and clean as always, as is consistent with the commitment by this hotel brand. Third, the Executive Lounge. I am also glad to see that, there newly comes a pasta booth as well as a chef, who will cook staple food like noodle, wonton, and dumplings, … etc. during the happy hours. Besides, there newly comes various types of desserts during the afternoon tea time, some of which are with INTERCONTINENTAL logos. Well I am not a fan of desserts ... however they look really elegant and seem to be delicious, at least judging from the appearance. The Lounge staffs, especially Ellen Xu and Elsa Yang are very nice, always serving members with a proactive mind. And I am very impressed by Ellen's working attitude, I must say. Taking a common little thing for instance, the e-bill deliveries, she always compose the e-mail body very carefully in order to deliver a decent statement, focusing on every word choice and so literal-minded. Yes, the e-bill delivery is just a “common little thing”. Yet, well from my point, I think it can be a key differentiator to demonstrate the professional quality, and to distinct the INTERCONTINENTAL brand from other average international five-star hotel brands. Last but not the least, the Guest Relation part. I would like to thank Jennifer Hong, who helped me to correct one mistake on my membership point accumulation, which was probably caused by a systematic error from the IHG group. She was so conscientious on this little mission, even at the price of working overtime to fix the problem. And I am so grateful about that. As is mentioned above, everything a frequent traveler member (including me) will be concerned about, is just nothing more than a "common little thing". Yet, with all staffs' effort, this hotel just made it, with full score, in terms of every aspects. That's the way leading to IHG Elite members' loyalty, and also the way leading to success when compared with other competitors. The hotel has excellent design with ancient cluture and morden facilities.My children had so many fun in the big 50 squre-metres room. Thanks for Coco Dang's warm welcome and help.Intercontiental was the best chioce for our trip of Xian.

My wife and I went there for an anniversary trip and weren't disappointed. Though I had called ahead to the confirm they could upgrade us to a suite, in the end, we just received the room we booked. It was fine, though, because the rooms were spacious. I like the bathroom layout which takes up about 1/3 of the room, but it open. It can be closed off for privacy though. I think our room was park view, but it is really not worth paying extra. It's just a small city park that wouldn't warrant mention in most locations. The facilities and service were great. The executive lounge was a major factor in us choosing this location and we weren't disappointed. (We originally booked another major chain hotel, but they closed their pool and executive lounge because of coronavirus, so we cancelled.) The Intercontinental facilities were well appointed and maintained. Wifi was good and the breakfast spread was wonderful. We really enjoyed the lounge- the evening happy hour was more of a light dinner. I've found that the age of a hotel has far more to do with its quality than brand or star rating. Now this one has both, but generally I'd rather stay here than an older higher end luxury hotel.

I did not expect my stay to be so good - the hotel is beautifully designed, very modern. Staff is attentive and extremely well trained. The buffet diner is a treat. The bar at the top floor has an open roof section, with a great selection of drinks, whiskies and cocktail. The room are vast, beautiful, comfortable. The hotel is ideally located close to the Fast train station (Xi'an North) and not far from the airport, also very near to city hall. It's quite remote from the city center though, so best for business or if you need to get to the airport. Congrats to IHG for this remarkable achievement.

We had an excellent stay in InterContinental Xi‘an - extraordinary friendly service in this outstanding hotel. The location is great as you can cross the street and will be able to enjoy a huge public park with unique running lanes. Breakfast was wonderful (great choice) and delicious. Taking into account that we stayed during the Corona time (with recent outbreak in Beijing), we felt perfectly and warmly treated - like at home - hence, we will be back soon ...

I have high expectations on this brand new hotel. Not only did it not disappoint, it was an amazing experience. The layout of the room gave the impressive wow-factor - modern, spacious and comfortable. The gems of this hotel - their well trained staffs. It was consistent everywhere I go, lobby, reception, bar, restaurant, lounge. All staffs were highly attentive and take the initiative to approach me to ensure everything is well looked after. In particular Mr Frank who managed my check in and my subsequent requests - warm, friendly and welcoming. The spirit of problem solving with customer first is very strong. I am very willing to recommend this new Intercontinental Xian and look forward to my return stay.
