Fisherman's Point Resort

This hotel should no be up for renting The bath is disgusting and the taps on the sink needs to be refurbished. Air con in bed not tht cokd on one setting only. Fan in dining room hamging of ceiling. Broken floor tiles move when you walk on them. Id advise owner to fix up the property .would definitely not stay again or recommend 😑

For the money no, food, no drinks, no air conditioning throughout, only bedroom, no entertainment, no pool (not working) tv not working (no signal)

The beach was right across from this property the only problem was the water in the shower was not draining out quick enough but i didnt really pay any attention to it after awhile the view was amazing it was really quite at times but you can hear the people from the bar it was a lovely space very homey i wish the AC could circulate in the entire place but i love having the doors open to get the cool air as well it felt like a real jamaican experience will definitely stay there again i was on the second floor glad i wasnt on the third due floor. The receptionist and security guards was very welcoming and nice. Felt safe the entire time. There was ants but i think its when it gets cold but i would like if they spray it more or have a spray so we can do it i dont mind. I told them about it and they did come and do something but it happens in the early mornings. I loved it there probably because i am a country girl and they also fixed the faucet while i was there thank you for that but would love if the drainage in the shower would be fix too would definitely stay there again thought 8/10.

The receptionists was very nice a accommodating. Guards were pleasant. Very quiet, could do with some renovations, but overall nice relaxing stay.

Location was great and a great area. Just the air conditioning in living room could have made watching tv easier in the heat. Love the balconies!

Apt was a little out dated but otherwise it was just fine.

Request a king size bed and received a queen. Only 1 towel for 4 people.

The workers were nice very friendly and attentive to our needs not rude worked well with what they have to offer: you must take your own food and bathing items as necessary no soap and other things available I would stay there again I just wanted to see what it was like and I believe I would rather take my chances with the all inclusive option next time because if you were to book early the price would probably be the same so lesson learned when travelling book all inclusive early and if you were in the local area and just in need of a few days stay then good just use the fp option.

Very dirty

The bathroom, kitchen everything was old and dirty in my room shower curtain was hanging for dear life . They charge cleaning fee upon checking in but the room wasn’t even clean that room needs to be shut down for renovation sleeping on the street would be more clean

Dirty walls and with filthy stains not fit for humans.Furniture dated place needed a face lift.Is this a race thing black people are entitled to clean safe environment .

The room where i was is: 1. poorly maintained, and though I paid the mandatory US$20 for cleaning, nothing was done. 2.To make matters worst, the shutoff valve to the toilet leaked continuously, and it appeared that management knew, as there was a bottle of some sort placed under the valve to catch the water. 3. The kitchen had reasonable looking appliances, however the counter and the cupboards were unhygienic, as there was a roach which came out at nights. 4. Lastly, in my opinion, the photos do not represent the reality of the rooms.

Apartment needs renovation. AC wasn’t working. There was an all over the property and roaches. We were locked out of the room because of the door knob it was rusty, receptionist had to help us to get in the room. 3/10

Only had A C in bedroom that was not cold. First room first floor balcony door was not safe could see it was busted in before staff was nice enough to move me to 3rd floor was awful hot AC needed in living room The living room was so hot could not stay there. WiFi was awful very little hot water. Pan were awful to cook in dirty sponges refrigerator needed to be defrosted was not very cold. Staff was helpful but had to leave this place needs to be upgraded. Nice location staff on site were helpful but needs better AC and WiFi and hot water awful

I have never been so disappointed.I took a quick trip to jamaica as I have traveled there many times before and I chose to stay at this resot and? That was a terrible mistake. I was miserable the whole stay no working AC. It was so hot. They moved me out of one room the following day to another room. With the same problem on top of that, the AC was making noise all night long, I could not enjoy myself at all. I kept asking to speak with a property. Manager could not speak with them. Did not give me the correct phone number to call them. Just gave me a lot of run around. It was terrible and I will not be stand again because I felt I just wasted my money and did not have a great experience and it was my birthday. Am I anniversary just awful?

First off no one told me before i checked in that the room doesn't come with AMENITIES to say the least a wash cloths or just a towel that would be nice i definitely would not recommend anyone staying here place is very nasty dirty no one clean the apartment its Disgusting and not suitable for renting but i understand people gotta make money at every chance they get sp go for it but for me not or would not recommend it to anyone looking for a goʻd night sleep or somewhere to stay when going Jamaica

I had a nice stay and look forward to returning on my next trip to Jamaica.

There was a lot of ants in the room. They also had NO toilet paper to give us.

I truly do not know where to start! That is how awful of an experience it was. If you are looking for cleanliness please do not come here. If you are looking for professionalism please do not come here. They were not willing to refund my money when I got there and seen the place. Manager was so unprofessional she was not on site. But called when the front desk person explained alll the concerns and issues I had. I spent 15-20 minutes going back and forth with this woman. Not only was the place HOT but why did the bathroom have somebodies poo stain and what would appear as either period blood or maybe poo on the toilet seat? Listen I travel to Jamaica yearly 2-3 times and I’ve never received such AWFUL service. I’m warning you don’t even bother. They also charge a mandatory 80 USD for cleaners …. LOL a huge joke. When they mop the place IF they come —- the mops smells so awful not to mention the towels they give. I hope this helps someone.

Kind of comfortable in some ways the room need some plug-in and also in the dining area needs AC it's too hot

I liked the convenience of the actual location to the town. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The living room was extremely humid but once I open the patio doors, it cooled down eventually.

All the time I were saying there the staff didn’t clean the apartment not one . Wouldn’t go bk

The property needs remodeling and renovation

Proximity to shopping, banks and restaurants. Also the exceptionally courteous and professional staff who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable.

I’ll take outside over inside anyday. Worst experience ever. Cleanliness is zero, receptionist was very helpful and courteous. The place needs to be renovated immediately and if not it needs to be shutdown

I liked the location easily accessible to the night life. I showed up for my reservation and was told I didn’t have one (I didn’t have a reserved room) despite showing proof of my receipt. I waited almost 45 minutes going back and forth with the person at the from desk (had no clue what she was doing). So I finally asked to speak to the supervisor and magically I was granted a room. Poor communication of the system. I recommend calling the property directly before traveling to ensure you have a secure reservation.

Property is in a good location, however the apartments 63A & 62B are run down. The furniture are and dust. No air conditioning in the living rooms only 1 in the bedroom. Bathroom qas dirty up on arrival. Beautiful views i must say

The physical plant looks good externally. However, the interior of the room-apartment is dirty and terribly outdated-rundown. The place needs to be shut down and seriously remodelled. It's an embarrassment!

Good space for my family, house was clean but can you imagine in this sweltering heat the water pressure was so low, we took shower one at a time, which was okay, but second night we got dripping then the next morning no running water in any of the faucets. We checked out early than anticipated.

The associate who checked me in failed to give me my beach access passes, parking passes, and gate key. Also ants were everywhere in my room and only one air conditioning unit inside the room

I like the fact the room had WiFi but the WiFi was not strong enough to stream anything on phones or laptops or tablets.

The customer service is terrible and the apartment likewise.

I loooove the ocean view. I didn't like the faulty kitchen sink, dusty furniture, small bolts on the door leading to the balcony and fungus on the wall in different areas of the apartment.

Everything was good

I checked in the room and the smell that hits me was terrible it takes 2 days for me to get a a clean room I would like refund for my two nights

The location is great, close to decent restaurants and attractions. The apartment, including the bathroom was clean but lacked sustained maintenance as reflected in part of the ceiling falling and the bathroom countertop appears to be collapsing.

My stay was lovely. Great location and the apartment was nice. Unfortunately, i tried to negotiate on the cleaning fee, as 2 of us were not going to be in the apartment for 3 days out of the 8. They would not have it, so we paid the full cleaning fee and suggestthey clean daily. We stayed there for the first night and the floor needed cleaning. We returned after 3 nights to find the floor hadn't been cleaned. The cleaner came in but still did not clean an said she would see us after Easter Monday. I complained at the office and she came on Monday and Tuesday, we left on Wednesday. So the apartment was only cleaned twice out of the eight days i paid for. This is unfair.

Half roll toilet paper and had to ask for more. No paper towels. Roaches in pots and pans. Refrigerator leaked and no way to Clean it. No broom or mop. Always had to wait for new towels. Never could get house keeping to come. Couldn’t sleep at night cause of the Margariaville. Should have been noted. Bed pillows are beyond Used! And the bed sheets were used u can tell not washed. Over all bad experience.

The checkin was poor. A detailed orientation was not provided. I had to ask questions to get answers. The room needs to be renovated. Nice location but the shower was in a deplorable conditions and furniture is ancient, lighting fixtures didn’t work. The property is in a convenient location and the view from the room were beautiful.

It was very old and run down

This was my 5th stay. I enjoy the accessibility, and safety of the property. I will no doubt return next year.

Unfortunately, there’s a sofa that was very dirty with exposed sponge from the holes in cushions. The futon was also filthy and very low to the ground.

Stayed here with my partner for 2 weeks over Christmas and new year it suited us as we were meeting up with family who live over there there’s no bar restraint or entertainment etc but is centrally located so everything is nearby our unit 14 was on the ground floor with terrace to the front with garden view close to the pool and balcony to the back with sea view can see the cruise ships coming in the apartment itself was comfy enough but could. Do with some updating as it was very dated and tired the cleaning service (extra charge) was very good all staff were very helpful and friendly overall we had a good stay and would stay here again

This was not our first visit to this property and we were always very satisfied. Although we definitely felt safe and loved the convenience and the courteous staff, we can't say the same for the same for the accommodation. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied with the dated furnishings and the old and dangerous range, dirty sticky refrigerator and dilapidated window dressings The a/c was not producing enough cooling throughout the rooms. The earth shaking noise from the sound system on Sat from 7pm till 2 am was absolutely horrific!!

The worker vary friendly

This is my second stay at this property and both experience were horrible. The room i got was not cleaned, the toilet in the bathroom was not flushed and had filth in it. The shower didnt work, pretty much nothing worked in the room. Everything made noise. Lizard filth was all over the place and it was badly in need of a renovation. This place should not be collecting money from people.

Very basic hotel. Need upgrading

Stayed here for 8 nights. It looks good from the outside, but inside the units are tired and in need of a refurb. I stayed in Apt 9, it was clean and faced the beach. The furniture and fitments have seen better days, but the bed was reasonable and I got a good sleep. I was only using it as a base, spending my time with local friends so it was adequate. AC only in the bedroom, none in the living area. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially the cleaning crew, who were in every day. Security were very polite. It's situated locally right opposite Ocean's 11 on one side, the beach and quay to the rear, so its not the quietest place to stay. it suited my needs and I would use it again.

The AC didn’t work. The shower head was spouting all over. The kitchen faucet was moving all over. I know it’s lower budget place but this was awful

Did not enjoy the place

The best part of this stay was the personnel, who remained polite and was not defensive when faced with my complaints. The apartment (68), was very dated. It was HOT with one ac unit that served tbe bedroom only. There was a part of the closet that was sagging and seemed about to fall. There was no coffee maker- I had to resort to tea which I do not fancy. The apartment was definitely disappointing and the worse i have stayed at. 5pm an attendant came to "sterilise" the pool despite several guests including children making protests. Her response was that she was leaving and no one would be available to sterilise the pool. We were advised to use it in 2 hours. The redeeming grace...the surroundings. The place is near everything especially nice beaches.

Each apt is privately owned. Our room was charming but everything was old - AC only in the bedroom and blew down onto the head of the bed. Very clean - but never updated . great view but beach access was difficult. Lovely staff.

Nice location

The Manager made error and gave my original room with the beach view to another customer as she told me. Then placed me in a room with street view and waste product(looking like feces) were seen on the walls that leaked down from the room above and on the balcony. I took photos. When asked for a refund it was declined by the manager. . No wifi for our entire stay and no TV nothing worked. I stayed at Fisherman's Point for over 14 years and I will never go back

This place is run and managed to a high standard. Clean and well kept. Good security at the gate. Workmen on site always busy cleaning. Opposite is ocean 11 the perfect tourist spot on a Tuesday evening

The front desk staff was not friendly at all they don’t acknowledge u when ur there but the guy that clean the room he is really great he makes u feel welcome he cater to ur needs his name is Chris very humble guy the property want more of that guy

The rooms were nothing like what is advertised, they were outdated, very dirty. I found a joint in my room, it clearly wasnt clean. Balcony faced a wall and was filthy. They told us it was a 2 bedroom apartment however it was one bed that had stains on it. The mattress had a hole in it. We tried to get a refund but they told us its non refundable. The toilet paper was kept on top of the toliet tank because the hllder was too far from the toilet. Best thing about here is the location, i would never go back.

The interior of property was nothing like what was listed on the website. Everything was old and worn. The cable service did not work and there were roaches. This the second unit that I was placed in since the first one was even worse.

unhappy with the rooms that were provided, no air conditioning in first room, second room had no hot water and tv did noy work, and was informed that the room was used for worker's meetings, all in all, did not get what i paid for.

No rags no towels roaches in the kitchen bed linings were stained dirty few outlets no elevator smh

The room we stayed in overlooked the port and Oceans 11. The noise was incredible from the music welcoming the cruisers all day to the blaring music from karaoke or the DJ at oceans 11 in the evening. The unit itself was ok. It took about 5 minutes to get hot water in the shower, and the spray was weak. The AC unit is in the bedroom and does cool the whole place. Several windows are closed only with plantain shutters, no glass. The kitchen has 4 plates, some cups, some forks, spoons and one sharp knife. A tea kettle and a few sauce pans but nothing else. I don’t think the oven worked (or maybe we couldn’t figure it out). We had to ask for towels on arrival, and again after a cleaning, no towels. The beach is right outside the property, however the entrance is at the other end.

Stayed at FP many times over the years. Well run complex managed by Ms B. Nice and calm environment. Clean and well Kemp. Close to margaritaville and ocean 11. Close to the beach and town. Security at the gate.

The Property is situated in the heart of Ochi Rios everything is in walking distance. the beach is right beside , and you can hear all the activities in the area. Starbucks is a 2 min walk.

Worth the money.

It was an okay place not spectacular. Ground good, check-in good. Noise from nearby was a problem. One security was grumbling to himself instead of communicating. Others very courteous.

Booking was for 2 adults and 2 children instead they said upon arival that it was only for 3 people. I showed proof from hotel.com and they didn't care. I showed where hotel.com says 3 beds house 4 people yet still she the manager vana taylor refused to look at my confirmation. They at first gave me no gate re-entry card from private beach so i had to walk around building for re-entry. They didn't give me any wifi password.so no wifi. They charged 10dollors per night for cleaning which never happened. She proceeded to berate staff in front of customers. She told me make sure i leave everything the way i saw it implying i would brake something because we disagreed i assured her that i was a professional. That wouldnt happen. The bathroom is dangerous as the door handle squashes your finger when you close it from inside. Ps. I never raised my voice in our exchange the one plus is that sleeping on the ground helped my back lol.
