Marina es encantadora, David y Valentina en recepción son amables y te ayudan en todo, al igual que todo el personal, siempre con una sonrisa. El desayuno es espectacular y de calidad. Staff was superb. Davide and Valentina at the front desk, and the remainder of the team were so professional, courteous, and helpful. The location we loved because it has a superb view and is a short (uphill) walk to the lively city center. The hotel attention to detail and accommodations are extremely clean and comfortable. Highly recommended for value.

There are several reason why this hotel has become a must-go for me whenever I go to Cortona. The staff is welcoming and full of little attentions that make you feel like you are at home. The breakfast is awesome , with a very large choice of sweet and salty treats, featuring the flavors and typical ingredients of Tuscany. In the evening, the hotel proposes a choice of biscuits that you can taste with the accompaniment of vin santo - a real treat! The cleanliness is immaculate and the rooms are furnished with taste.

There is really nothing I didn't like about this property.

Questa è la nostra quarta volta qui. E che dire…è sempre un piacere. L'accoglienza e la spontanea gentilezza di tutto il personale ci riempie sempre il cuore. La stanza sempre bellissima, curata, pulitissima. Come sempre il fiore all'occhiello è la colazione a buffet, ricchissima, super variegata, sia la parte salata che quella dolce. I dolci fatti in casa sono qualcosa di divino, i prodotti sono di altissima qualità e soddisfano tutte le esigenze. L'altro punto forte di Villa Marsili è l'attenzione al dettaglio, le piccole coccole che riservano all'ospite dal punto di vista culinario e non solo. Offrono un meraviglioso aperitivo dalle 19 alle 20 con spuntini preparati da loro e ottimi drink. E che dire poi della pasticceria notturna con i loro biscotti e cantucci con vin santo. L'atmosfera è davvero intima, rilassante e rigenerante. Ovviamente ritorneremo.

Everything was exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, elegant, and full of charm. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very quiet. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always happy to help. The breakfast was delicious with great variety, and the complimentary transfer service was a wonderful surprise. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the historic center while still being peaceful. I truly loved every moment of my stay.

Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

Ao chegar no hotel (como diz meu filho, "casa da Nonna") a receptividade já é calorosa! A senhora Marina nos recebeu muito bem e de cara você se sente em casa. Desde a entrada para do jardim, à recepção e o quarto foi amor a primeira vista. Agora, o café da manhã é um assunto a parte. A variedade, qualidade, capricho e cuidado aos detalhes da mesa, buffet e atendimento no serviço é só elogios. Nota máxima em tudo.

Hotel Villa Marsili was an absolute highlight of our trip to Italy, and the staff are what made it truly special. Marina, the manager, went above and beyond from the moment we arrived — she was incredibly accommodating, warm, and made us feel genuinely taken care of throughout our stay. Her hospitality set the tone for the whole visit. The breakfast alone is worth the trip. Every single morning brought a fresh spread of homemade savory and sweet items, never the same twice. It felt less like a hotel breakfast and more like being hosted by family. What really stood out, though, was the thoughtfulness behind the scenes. I have several food allergies, and Carmen, the chef, took the time to make me special cantucci so I wouldn't miss out on the sweet treats everyone else was enjoying. That kind of personal touch is rare, and it didn't go unnoticed. Between the warmth of the staff, the incredible food, and the genuine care shown to guests, Hotel Villa Marsili exceeded every expectation. I'd recommend it without hesitation to anyone visiting Italy.

The bathrooms felt a little dated. It didn't take away from the experience, but it's worth a mention for anyone expecting a fully modern finish throughout.

The hotel is very elegant and stylish, set within easy walking distance of central Cortona. The reception staff were great, always friendly and helpful.

È una struttura bellissima,tenuta in modo curato ed elegante, la posizione è perfetta a due passi dal centro, ma al contempo fuori dal caos e con una vista mozzafiato. Lo staff è straordinario, ci hanno accolto come a casa, avevamo con noi la nostra bassottina e sono stati gentilissimi e ci hanno messo a disposizione il tavolo delle colazioni più comodo riservandolo. Per me ad oggi l’albergo migliore con lo staff migliore dove sono stata! Grazie di tutto❤️

This was the second time I stayed at the Villa Marsilli, it is a great place to stay, I highly recommend it.

Beautiful rooms, amazing breakfast spread, lovely calm courtyard to sit during the afternoon or evening and sip a nice drink. Great view over the valley below. Staff was very helpful to arrange a taxi from the train station for us, as well as a means to charge and secure our ebikes in their garage.

El hotel es genial, por estructura del edificio, decoración, vistas espectaculares y buena ubicación, no está en el centro pero si muy cerca y se agradece el acceso con el coche. Pero lo mejor es la amabilidad, implicación y atención de todo personal, es muy de agradecer y la pena es no haber estado algún dia más.

Прекрасный отель в пяти минутах пешком от старого города. Красивые исторические интерьеры, но современный сервис и удобства. Хорошие новые ванные комнаты, удобные кровати, чисто, качественная косметика. Очень понравилось все, обязательно буду останавливаться при путешествии через Кортону

Единственный недостаток- не работали батареи на обогрев. И кондиционер тоже не получилось включить.

Everything was beautiful - from the kind and generous welcome of all of the staff, to the beautiful room, exceptional breakfast and surprise aperitivo. Even had a parking space reserved for us. This hotel made our visit to Cortona exceptional.

Raffinement à tous les niveaux : les chambres, les parties communes, le petit déjeuner… On retiendra aussi la disponibilité du personnel et les attentions particulières (à l’apéritif, après le dîner). Un séjour proche de la perfection, qui invite à renouveler l’expérience.

The exceptional helpfulness and friendliness of the staff at the front desk at Hotel Villa Marsili really stood out for me - they were among the nicest people we met on our 2 week visit to Italy, which is saying alot! The room and hotel building were very nice and provided for all our needs. Unfortunately we couldn't stay for breakfast as we had to leave early to catch a flight in Florence, but the restaurant staff kindly gave us a quick coffee and snack before we left. The hotel was also well located to walk to the old city without having to drive through busy streets.

L’accoglienza autenticamente gentile. La raffinatezza del luogo, nel quale si coglie l’attenzione e l’amore per ogni oggetto scelto. La capacità di una relazione che si sente naturale e autentica. La meravigliosa collezione di ceramiche e di oggetti. La buonissima colazione preparata con amore. Ultimo, ma non meno importante e quasi unico, il fatto di non avere richiesto il pagamento anticipato on line e, infine, aver persino ricevuto una guida in regalo.

Hotel 4 stelle che rispecchia completamente la classificazione ufficiale, il che non è scontato... Il personale è semplicemente fantastico per cortesia e professionalità. La pulizia da 10 è lode. La posizione è strategica in quanto pur essendo al di fuori della ZTL si trova a quattro passi dal centro.. Direi che complessivamente è stata un'esperienza più che positiva.

Dall'accoglienza al momento di lasciare la struttura non abbiamo smesso di stupirci della gentilezza di tutto il personale che abbiamo incontrato. Villa Marsili è un gioiello. La camera che ci hanno assegnato era enorme con un affaccio fantastico sulla valle. I letti comodi e la stanza estremamente silenziosa. La doccia...stupenda. Non sarei in grado di trovare un difetto neanche cercandolo. Tutto è stato perfetto. La colazione era curata in ogni minimo particolare, tutto era fresco e cucinato in casa. Certamente Villa Marsili è una delle attrazioni di Cortona. Se dovessimo tornare in questa zona della Toscana non avrei alcun dubbio su dove soggiornare.

We loved this hotel! The staff are so welcoming and helpful. The lobby is filled with details, the decor, suggestions of places to see, bowls of delicious candy… The staff also helped with parking, which was very convenient. The rooms are beautifully decorated and our view was so pretty! Evenings there were delicious hors d’oeuvres and later typical Tuscan sweets for an after dinner treat. The location is good, just a quick walk to downtown. Breakfast is the best I have had anywhere. Hot, savory items, all kinds of pastries and a variety of breads. 10 different types of homemade jams. Huge variety of delicious fruit. Yogurts and cheeses and cold cuts. Homemade baked goods. A lot more. All so beautifully served as well as such nice and attentive servers. This hotel exudes Tuscan charm. We will return!

It was such a peaceful beautiful old villa with the warmest and most welcoming staff. I liked also that it was tucked on the edge of town and was very quiet with a great view. I also felt safe walking the short distance up the slight hill to get to town even at night. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in lovely Cortona.

Colazione fantastica sia salata che dolce . Dolci e pasticcini freschi fatti da loro cuoca ,deliziosi. Ambienti arredati con mobili d'epoca ed estrema cura dei particolari,anche nelle apparecchiature con belle ceramiche artistiche. La gestione,di famiglia,si è mostrata molto gentile e ci ha fornito una camera di livello superiore a quella che avevamo prenotato,anch'essa arredata con mobili d'epoca e tappeti. Inoltre abbiamo apprezzato anche il pensiero carino di far trovare agli ospiti ,alla sera,nel salone della villa,dei dolcetti (sempre fatti da loro) della buona notte ,oltre a bevande. Il parcheggio é riservato a 3/4 auto,perché è il giardino stesso deĺla villa. Bisogna prenotarlo per tempo.

Hotel molto bello, struttura storica in posizione strategica per andare a piedi in centro. Personale accogliente, sorridente e disponibile. Bella camera ampia con vista stupenda sulla vallata. Ottima colazione. Ottimo apericena con finger food; cantucci e vinsanto per finire.

The staff were amazing and very switched on. Bar fridge complimentary just water and snack but nice touch. Great views from outside the property and one 5 min walk to town. Classy place to go it says 4 start but should be 5 start and breaky had a large choice of food with lots of fruits cereals, fresh orange juice and a hot selection like scramble eggs, quiche too much to describe.

Not much signage outside letting you know its a Hotel. One very small sign on the side road.
