Booking and checking into The White Morph motel was a quick and simple process. There are various rooms, some with views of the sea and others over the garden area. We booked one of the garden rooms and were kindly upgraded to a bigger room when we checked in, which was a lovely surprise.

Bed was a bit too soft for my liking, but the room itself was lovely and absolutely spotless!

Very homely, clean and comfortable and had everything that we needed. We were upgraded to a bigger room, which looked like it had been recently renovated.

The entry to our accommodation was a glass door and the outside lights were left on all night and the light continued to shine into the room all night.

Nice location right opposite beach and easy walking distance to town centre. Nice sized unit with everything we required. Comfortable bed.

Shower was a bit on the small size and awkward to angle shower head so that water didn't end up outside on the floor.

Great location right on the waterfront. There were plenty of options within walking distance for food. The room was comfortable and clean and the price was great.

Great location, parking & shower.

We were allocated room 72 - as a budget studio -when our booking just said studio. It was dark, dingy with shabby bathroom furniture, and a bathroom window which opened wide onto the path outside, rendering it insecure and lacking any privacy. The wardrobe was so small, it would not close when clothes were put in it! When we challenged the receptionist we were told we could pay an extra huge sum for an upgrade - and she just blamed us for booking through a third party! She admitted it was small. I don’t blame her - but the photo on our app was of a different room.

The view from the room was absolutely superb - I think I booked a deluxe/premium room with sea and mountain views and it did not disappoint, was spectacular. Sitting on the balcony looking at that view or just watching the sunrise from bed each morning was a highlight of my trip to NZ. Staff (especially Sharon) were fantastic and really ensured a solo traveller a terrific stay with helpful suggestions for food etc (and organising the Pier Hotel's courtesy bus for me!) Location also great and the spa bath was a nice bonus. Will definitely be back to the White Morph.

Perfect location for us as we were doing the Dolphin Swim the next day and it is literally right nextdoor. It is a short drive away from the "main" part of town with restaurants etc, or if the weather is good you could walk it (we drove). Really nice simple motel style rooms. Had everything you would need to be comfortable. Staff were friendly and provided great recommendations of places to eat.

Das Hotel ist ein wenig abseits von den touristischen Restaurants und Shops im Ort. Die Lage direkt am Wasser ist sicherlich ein Highlight. Das Zimmer ist recht klein und einfach eingerichtet, erfüllt aber alle notwenigen Anforderungen. Die Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor dem Zimmer ist hervorragend.

Das Zimmer hätte ein wenig größer sein können.

Extremely high quality for a room which cost about $400/night (from booking.com). This was obviously a discounted rate but it made our room affordable. The room wasn’t big, but it had a quality feel to it, Sky tv, clean bedding and fresh towels. The bathroom had no bath or spa (my only complaint was no spa but that’s a luxury) and was a shower head over a slightly angled area of floor allowing easy drainage. The room had a fridge, electric stovetop, microwave and toaster. The location is very convenient to the township being located beside the waterfront so it’s only a 10 minute walk along the flat (it’s at ground level) to restaurants. The wifi was a little slow, but reliable. Highly recommended.

It could have had a few food items on arrival - we had a small milk but otherwise there was literally nothing. No spa was disappointing but able to be overlooked.

Room was excellently equipped with washing machine, dryer and lots of space.

The roll-out bed we used was broken. But otherwise everything was very comfortable.

The location is ideal, just a short stroll to town where the bars and restaurants are located. The shower in the bathroom is certainly powerful. The Café next door was great for breakfast or you could cater for yourself given the room facilities.

The rooms was looking a little tired compared to our previous stay. There was only one bedside cabinet in our room which isn't ideal. The wifi was intermittent at best, especially in the evening when trying to contact family back home.

The location was fantastic, a 1 minute walk to the dolphin sightseeing center. The room that we booked was also very spacious spread across 2 floors, infact it was a little too big for my family of 4. The room was generally clean. It is located oppossite the beach, it has a beautiful panaromic view of the Kaikoura beach.

The WIFI doesnt work at all.

On arrival I found that I had been upgraded to a room with a sea view. The room on the ground floor was great & the view was lovely. The room was exceptionally clean, with great housekeeping throughout my stay. The facilities in the room were very good, including ground coffee bags for the cafetière and pods for the coffee machine in addition to usual offer.
