It's the 6th time that I have been here in 12 months Do I need to say any more?

WOW! We could not have been more impressed with our stay here!!! The staff was so kind and helpful when my husband contacted them to have flowers delivered to our room prior to arrival for my birthday (as I later found out!). They even went as far as giving us an upgrade and leaving us a beautiful chocolate plate and lovely note congratulating us on our honeymoon! The breakfast buffet was amazing and very fairly priced for the quality and variety, and the restaurant was so delicious we had dinner there as well! Honestly, we had some unfortunate disappointments during our trip to Kaikoura as most of our bucket-list activities were cancelled due to weather, but going back to our hotel made everything SO much better. We're already wishing we could come back!

Could have been a bit cleaner. The plastic soap tray in the shower needed replacing, and cleaning behind and around taps. The front of the counter downstairs in the restaurant could do with a good scrub!

Second time staying at Sudima Kaikōura, and it never fails to amaze me. ❤️ The view is always spectacular, the rooms are clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff are all so accommodating, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which makes the whole stay even more enjoyable. We especially appreciated how one of the staff members went out of his way to assist us, sorry forgot his name, he’s wearing eyeglasses and was stationed Friday 6:30 PM on 28/08/26. Thanks!! We always feel so welcomed and relaxed here. It’s the kind of place where you can simply sit back, enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and forget about everything for a little while. 🥰 Another wonderful stay, and definitely a place we’d happily come back to again and again. Highly recommended! 🌊🏔️❤️

Plenty of it

It was perfect in every way. Clean and comfortable. The view of the snow capped mountains and the bay from our top floor room was spectacular. As an added bonus the sunrise was awe inspiring. Never seen anything like it in before.

Loved everything

We loved our stay at Sudima. We had one of the beachfront rooms which was really cool! Staff were super friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately the food and drinks were a bit of a let down. We had dinner in the restaurant, I ordered the Steak and my husband had the Chicken. My steak was cooked well but there was only a couple of stalks of brocolli and 2 overcooked carrots and one small potato ( not crispy ) to accompany our main's. Not worth the cost!! I dont know if the young girl behind the bar knew what she was doing, I ordered a lemon, lime and bitters and it was so strong it was undrinkable and it was a bright orange colour ( it is supposed to be a very pale colour ) which is not right. My husband had the cocktail special and found the same problem with his. Its unfortunate because I couldnt fault the hotel otherwise.

The room was exceptionally high end and furnishings very comfortable. Location was right by the beach and the views were of the mountains and sea.

Really good property. It was warm, cozy and nice. Location is great. Beautiful views from the window.

Room was large, nice products in bathroom also liked the shower salts. Beds comfy.

Breakfast was average compared to the other hotels we stayed at throughout New Zealand. The breakfast area appeared understaffed, and the food stations needed more attention to ensure items were replenished and presented well. There was also a limited variety of options considering the price. On our second morning, we chose to have breakfast elsewhere and found it offered much better value and selection.
