The Ocean View
The poor maintenance which affected the water supply
The customer service from Paulette. The view of the ocean
Everything else! The beds, the light, the shakes internet. The unsafeness. Did I mention that someone forced their way in my room at 5 am through the balcony. The doors were closed!!!!! I was sleeping!! They stole my shower gel
Really outdated hotel
Love it

I booked it for my kids to be able to swim but the pool was empty and there were signs on the beach that said no swimming
Overall the stay was amazing! The staff was amazing and very accommodating. the sunset at night, just the overall view Truly stunning. Good light breakfast.
the only thing that would have been a little better was having some sort of refrigeration in the room
Location
Run down
Shuttle came at 8.00 AM breakfast served at 8.00 yet kitchen was still locked. Company needs to at least have coffee in the reception area with a snack bag to go on journey to the airport
No breakfast or just coffee or tea to go.
The view from my balcony of the ocean was wonderful.
The views
Location is great its right in the town center
The hotel needs a allover renovation

I wont stay there again The website will fool you and the place is A P.O.S. No hot water , AC unit leaked all night into a bucket which wasnt a great sound and house keeping never came for the 2 days i stayed.
Oveelooking the Ocean, Breakfast was good Ackee & satfish by Ivan. Close to town. St. Anns.
Like everything,
Great value in the heart of Ocho, but not an all inclusive, this hotel suits white and black people who are confident enough to walk about a secure Jamaican resort town and engage with locals on occassion and not so much for the timid holiday goer.
Silver Seas Hotel is a solid choice for those seeking comfort without the five-star price tag. The rooms are spacious and clean, providing a welcoming atmosphere for guests. One of the standout features of the hotel is the friendly staff, who engage with guests respectfully, making you feel valued during your stay. Situated just a five-minute walk from the bustling tourist town of Ocho Rios, the hotel's location is convenient for exploring local attractions. Plus, being beachfront adds to its charm, allowing for easy access to beautiful views and relaxation by the sea. However, there are a few areas for improvement. The Wi-Fi connection could be enhanced, as it tends to be a bit spotty at times. Additionally, the TVs in the rooms are on the smaller side, which can be a drawback for those who enjoy watching shows or movies during their downtime. Lastly, the pavement outside the rooms could use resurfacing to enhance the overall appearance and safety. Overall, I would rate Silver Seas Hotel a 4.5 out of 5. It’s a comfortable and friendly place to stay, with just a few tweaks needed to elevate the experience even further.
The view and ac
The location was great however the property needs a lot work, construction, painting and needs a modern touch. Place just look mash up and run dun
Beachfront was good, rooms were big.. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and polite and the lady that cleaned my room
Doors to the rooms was unsafe , no fridge or microwave and any one can walk off the street to the hotel. The pool was closed
The view of the ocean
The front of the building
The only thing that was beautiful was the view from your balcony but other than that terrible place
they could not find the reservation room was just ok
Love this spot, Beautiful views
Has no complaints.
the location was okay and the air conditioning worked well.
The room had no wi-fi access. The pool was closed off. The beach was not accessible and the male concierge was rude.
I liked how welcoming the staff was. I enjoyed every meal, the chef did an excellent job.

The food was good but was over charged the menu said one price and was charged $2000 ja more
The window didn’t lock, poor locate. Over charged for my food
The hotel is very run down. There is no computer to assist with speedy check in. The front desk attendant had to call someone who could give details about my last minute reservation. The hotel seems to bring in locals who rent the spaces. It's located on the oceanfront but the hotel is dated ... a little grimy, dated furniture... no frills spot. The bed linens were not spotless. Pros- the wifi television and the AC. The floors seemed spotless/dustless.
La vista al mar es espectacular
Instalaciones muy antiguas
i lkie the location where you can see ocean view
i booked through booking but when i got to the location they had no record of my booking a mater fact they had no computer to look at my booking. Other thing is i had to go out and try to withdraw money as they don't take card only cash i feel this should be advertise in the booking site to be prepared.

Peaceful, big room, amazing food
It’s a bit old looking but still very good
My husband and I visited Silver Seas in celebration of our 2 year relationship anniversary and half year wedding anniversary. The view of the sea was beautiful. All we needed was a restful stay, and that is what we got. This hotel is excellent for resting and if you just love to reflect on nature. The property is indeed old, but it provided what we needed. The outside table on the porch was not clean, but the room is spacious. It is a small hotel, so don't expect entertainment apart from nature. The chef cooks well as well.
The owners need to put more money. And fines up the place .the staff is very friendly and helpful.
I had an amazing experience with the staff and guests. WiFi was strong in the room and the lobby. Very relaxing solo trip.
Everyone is super friendly, treats you like family!!! Great view every morning from your room.
The view of the sea was beautiful. The balcony was huge and relaxing. It's right in the center of town, xlosw to everything It gets noisy at times and the smell.of smoke comes right into the room and space. The place was ok but its not like what is in the photos. It would habe been nice ro have a microwave and fridge in the room
View
Very very bad that I never had earlier
Great location, nice view, very helpful staff.
No microwave in the room.
The oceanview by the pool that customers can jot use.The staff all were very polite and welcoming up are arrival .However the tv works off of wifi which trips out but than it stays on.While over those .While Attemping to not make a big deal and not bother staff we wake up to bites all on us in we had double beds.I told mgt that told me i book thru a site so they will handle it as they hadnt been paid yet for my stay.I booked online. It took a few hours but i got a different room and the mgr paulette offered to reimburse for benedryal so I felt like this is a good place to stay thinking when problems arise if any issues you would think they can handle it properly .I show her a video of a bug itook crawling on the dresser it was alot at one time but they are very tiny.So long story short woke up in new with bites not giving it another try check out asap.I told miss Paulette i want a full refund i understand mosquitos but i do not wanna sleep no where im getting bite up and than everyone acts like its not something other than mosquitos. Those beds mattress must need to be steam cleaned or replaced cause there are inly a few bugs that bite while you ate in a bed bed bugs ,dust mites etc .If they can find whatever is biting in the bed and get rid of it, fix the pool and the wifi this would he one of the best hotels and they could get more on a there daily fee .
Property is aware of issue changed my room at fost told me to deal with Expedia since they havent even been paid yet mgr paulette spoke with owner whim never wanted to speak with me
Excellent location. Needs renovation.
The pool was not in operation, there was no beach. The hotel was subpar( very out dated) I had to pay for every meal, even water
No pool very disappointed. But sea was right there sp that helped
I love everything about silver seas... the people are amazing and your room looks over the sea!!!
The views of the ocean were priceless.
Need more upkeep
Proximity to the sea great, upkeep of outside reeas, walkways etc need upgrade. Yes there was noise from other patrons, but was not disturbing.
Good
Been going there for years, big rooms, ocean view balconies, plenty of furniture. May lack some of the refinements of hotels that are over double the price, but its great value with easy access to shops, restaurants etc. Not for people who want all-inclusive.
The property has potential but its not well kept. The rooms have mold
Loved the hotel and location.
False advertising. The pool is not working and the damage is extensive. It clearly hasn't been working for a long time and doesnt seem like it will be up and running again any time soon. The concrete ocean access also isn't maintained. Really none of the common areas of the property are being repaored or maintained. I think if they were honest about the state of the grounds and priced the place accordingly it wouldn't be so bad. The room and furniture was outdated but it big with an amazing view.
It's a perfect place for photos and has great views but they take forever to check u in, beds are old and uncomfortable ac either doesn't work or doesn't turn up or down, shower also doesn't work but probably was the room i got, paid for breakfast when i was booking but they wanted me to pay again, pool isn't available and the beach is locked off , it's an amazing spot but all they need to do is fix and clean up the beach and that would help, with all that said the view was amazing give them that
it was clean
no cats running in the kitchen
This is just my honest review with no bad intentions. The pros of this hotel: location is great right in the center of town by the ocean but far away enough from the noise of the busy streets. The staff is the some of nicest and most respectful people I’ve ever met. The view from the room with the balcony is awesome, AC and WiFi worked good. But that’s as far as it goes. The cons: the hotel is very and I mean very dated. This hotel isn’t more than a 1-2 night stop over. I wouldn’t recommend for a long vacation stay. In my honest opinion I think the rooms shouldn’t cost more than $45-50 a night. The furniture is very old, the rooms need to be renovated. Pool was closed off and looked like it hasn’t been functional in years. This hotel needs a serious investor with serious money to renovate this property. If this property gets all modern updates it would be a gold mine. It would take a few hundred thousands or even millions to bring this hotel up to modern standards. I really wish the property the best in the future but I don’t know how much longer they can hold on at this rate.
This hotel is for emergency purposes only. If you’re stranded and have no where to go. Come here, if not this place is MF terrible. The original room I had, the door wouldn’t even lock. I had to show the clerk. All the rooms are old school af and the only thing that’s halfway decent is the view of the ocean from the balcony. I didn’t see any roaches or bugs so that’s a plus
The thing I appreciated most was the courtesy of the staff. From the front desk to the housekeepers. Only complaint is breakfast could be a 'solid', for the lack of a better word. Instead of just coffee and toast. Eggs fried or boiled. Or calaloo , saltfish. Nothing expensive. Anyway I enjoyed my stay and have shared my experience with others.
Nice room
Good location in the Centre of the town. Street a bit lonely
The view from the room balcony towards the ocean
Everything needs to be better, from the arrival and the looks of the building, to the small wifi operated television that you can't see from the bed, unstable wifi, water settling in the shower area after showering
Lage, Preis/Leistung
Kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer Schlechstes Wifi
Large rooms with two double beds, desk, chairs, dresser, and cupboards with large balconies, and close to the ocean. Rooms have AC, WiFi and TVs. It only fails to get 5 stars due lack of refinements (e.g. kettle and fridge) but the rooms and price and proximity to shops, restaurants, and Jamaican fast food restaurants (e.g. Island Grill and Mothers) mean a well deserved 4-star rating by me.
The beach
The pool was out service
I take my reviews very seriously and I think this is the, worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Granted we are only here for one night, thankfully and it was a last minute booking as our other accommodation that we had booked and paid for to stay for 2 weeks. Did not answer our calls when we arrived so we had to find a last minute hotel to sleep in. 2 adults 2 children aged 14 and 7. I’m actually scared to stay in this hotel, it’s not secure at all, front door hardly locks properly and even if locked if you shoved it would easily pop open. Bathroom windows have no actual window on it just a shutter which can be easily prised open from the outside. On arrival staff were actually quite rude, they have a security guard on the front who was doing absolutely nothing but sit on his phone listening to music. Some random men walked in and the man on front desk told them to leave and Told the security man off. The staff were quite rude on arrival it seemed we were more trouble being there than not even though we are paying money and then stated that they would not take card, which meant we had to go out looking for a bank in the middle of the night to try and source cash money. Staff also would not write a receipt for us to claim the money back through our insurance. We were taken to a room and it is absolutely diabolical, the smell of stale smoke is disgusting. So strong, we have a child with asthma as-well which makes it worst. The room is absolutely freezing and no remote from the air con so have to keep switching it off at the wall when it’s too cold and switching it back on at the wall when too hot. The bathroom I don’t know how it would pass any inspection, there’s black mould growing up the walls, the knob that switches between shower and bath is broke so 90% of the water comes out of the bath tap and 10% comes out of the shower - whilst your trying to have a shower. The sink taps are broken and kept falling apart. One of the balcony doors doesn’t unlock is broken. There were bugs in the room and flying in the room and cockroaches in reception. Now I don’t know if they have bed bugs, but my skin was crawling in the night I only managed about 2 hours sleep and when I woke up I was covered in bug bites. I honest to god would not stay here again even if you paid me. I want to leave however there are no hotels with availability in the middle of the night on a Saturday night. I don’t know what rooms people are getting to be giving 5 stars on here. But if I could give 0 then I would. This is close to the strip which is live all night long, you can hear the music all night so I was glad for my earplugs. Big let down for Ocho Rios and I think what ever hotel inspector people they have here need to look at this hotel. Only saving grace for this hotel is the view from the room over the ocean which was stunning, but that doesn’t make up for such poor hospitality. The rooms are a good size and there is on sight parking. I’m also not sure what the point of the security guard was as he looked about 15 and wasn’t going to be able to stop any trouble should it arise. Please do not waste your money on this hotel, I understand it’s a budget hotel and you get what you pay for, however I wouldn’t say in these circumstances that, that is true as I think the rooms are more of a hostel than a hotel.
I loved the location and the view!
Pool was out of order and entrance to the beach was chained off.
My stay was good. I had fun my only issue is that the hotel does not offer a Continental breakfast. I had to pay for coffee and toast. Its my first time staying at a hotel that doesn't have any coffee maker in the room.
I like the location and lots of parking spaces.
The hotel needs an update.
The air conditioning did not work, and the matter was not addressed throughout the entire stay. The doors could not be opened to let in fresh air, given that the air conditioner was not working and the television also did not work.
The property is run down and dirty. I didn’t get any wash cloth. The wifi didn’t work in the room. Property location is very good but this hotel needs a lot of work.
The host was very accommodating, welcoming and The ambiance was perfect.
