The room is old and have mold on the wall, the water pipe of the bathroom is stuck and the air conditioner was broken. The stuff took so much time to solve the problem. I changed 3 room during this visit. The breakfast table management was not good.

The hotel is in a convenient location, especially if you're visiting the nearby exhibition and convention centers. The rooms are spacious, and the facilities are generally well maintained. However, my overall experience was disappointing. The rooms feel quite dated, and there was a noticeable musty smell from the carpet. I had to change my room twice, but unfortunately, the damp odor was still present in the replacement rooms. The service was another downside. While the staff completed the necessary procedures, I didn't find them particularly welcoming or attentive, and the overall hospitality did not meet the expectations I have for a Renaissance hotel. Overall, I would rate my stay 7/10. It's a practical choice for business travelers due to its location, but I believe the hotel would benefit from renovating the rooms and improving the guest service experience.

Excelent location near the Megalev line 18 you can go everywhere in Shanghai. Confortable room. Good breakfast with more options than the average similar hotels. Staff always ready to help.

Ordered a hamburguer at the lobby bar and it took 25 minutes to come.

They helped me to upgrade to the better room as there no rooms were available upon our checkin. Breakfast was also good with different varieties of dishes. Location is also very convenient and not far from metro station.

The swimming pool was occupied by kids who were splashing water around. We couldn’t swim normally. Breakfast dishes were not refilled when there was nothing left. Like fruits, deserts, cheese or other staff. I had to search for staff and ask to refill it. I asked to make omelet for me and explained clearly in Chinese what I needed to add there. The chef just ignored it. Besides, some of ingredients were almost finished. He didn’t care about it, just put a little portion that still left on a plate.

Seconda volta che pernotto in questa struttura. Camere accoglienti, I colazione ottima. I posizione comoda per i miei spostamenti.

I prezzi sono un po' cresciuti, la qualità e il servizio costanti.

Very nice hotel in a good location. Breakfast is excellent and staff was very helpful. Room was big and comfortable.

Small cracks abobe the bed. No beverage options in the fridge.

A short stay so can make it. An old hotel and the facility is out dated. The staff is good and the breakfast is sufficient to meet the brand standard. Nothing special and can have a short stay, if over 2 nights I may not take it.

3 concerns: 1. the sheets were changed once to my knowledge 2. where the carpet ends at the bathroom entrance, a carpet sticks up. I almost stepped on it. (This happened to me previously except I did step on it. I still on occasion have irritation from the injury.) 3. The shower door would not seal tight.

The room interior needs some renovation, but it was a comfortable stay overall. The room is very spacious. The hotel kindly installed a mattress topper after my request. The breakfast was good and various and included Western cuisine. The was a problem with the room A/C. It didn't provide heat. I told the reception about that. They fixed it. But in a day the A/C ability to provide heat declined, though it still provided some heat.

Ate here last week at the Chinese restaurant for lunch and enjoyed it. Bought via Dianping a 2 person set meal. So we decided to go back today but ran into horrible service. When we arrived at the door, no one was there so we waited. The hostess came out and I told her two people. Then other guests behind us cut line and told the hostess they wanted to come in so she showed them to a private room abandoning us. She didn't even come back to us and just had as wait. I then went to find her and told her she was rude. She said she wasn't because the other people has a reservation. But we lined up first. 4 times she defended herself. The manager came and apologized. She offered me some beer. I don't drink alcohol. That's it. I ended up eating there but they didn't give a discount or anything. She gave a can of coconut milk to my companion. Just horrible service and no service recovery. I don't think alcohol. Terrible. Won't go back again. I'm lifetime titanium

10/25/2025 - The Renaissance Shanghai Pudong was open 23 years ago with 363 guestrooms. Each floor has only one suite room, which usually reserved for Marriott Elite members to redeem a "night suite upgrade certificate. I am impressed with its suite room and the CLUB LOUNGE on the 26th floor that opens from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM daily with a lot of horsd'oeuvres in happy hour as well as afternoon tea from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. I must admit that the suite room here beats the suite room at the Sheraton Grand Seattle in the U.S. in comparison to the quality of furniture, bathroom, etc. - it also applied to the Club Lounge except the Sheraton Grand Seattle has a large 180-degree panoramic view most Club Lounge or M Club Lounge do not have or can't match. A one block walk will arrive at the Century Park, and a subway line 18 is only a 5-munite walk to/ from the hotel.

The hotel was nice, clean, comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful, thank you Karen at check-in for assisting myself and my husband.

Excellent hotel located close to international expo centre, making it convenient for work purposes. Hotel rooms were clean and spacious, with work space and desk. Bathrooms large with enough space, shower, and bath tub. Right next to the lilac centre where you can buy groceries, clothing and many food options including local and western food. Breakfast was fantastic. They have options for everyone fresh fruits, local specialities, a waffle bar, and traditional fry up breakfast options, plus an egg station. Afternoon tea was served in the lobby with a small variety of food to pick from all complimentary.

Strong smoke smell even the hotel is supposed to be smoke free. I asked the front desk to do some treating, before I left for a lunch engagement, they didn’t when I came back at 3:30pm. Safe didn’t work because there was no display for keying in code. Either out of battery or unplugged.

Hotel is infected by bed bugs. Sent photographic evidence but the hotel just ignore. Had to throw away my suitcase and many clothes to make sure I don’t bring any home! Avoid!!!

The hotel offers an amazing variety of food for breakfast buffet and all very good and fresh. The spa and swimming pool are great! We had a very pleasant 2 days stay. Highly recommended!

Location was close to the Metro

It was a bit far from the main attractions like the Pearl Tower and The Bund however you could take the Metro train and connect to Line 2 to East Nanjing Road.

Its great time for when i stay in this hotel.

This hotel was next to Century Park and Pudong convention center. You can walk 10 minutes to two metro stations, so it is convenient to have access to Pudong airport and Hongqiao airport. Club lounge and breakfast in the restaurant was so great to provide a variety of local and western cuisines. Pool and gym were well-appointed.

The lobby and the bar were very ccld, this was the only issue.
