An old style room, which we personally loved. Well maintained and very clean and it gives you a nice and comfy vibe to enjoy your stay in Zermatt. Also, on the main road. No way to miss it

Super Blick zum Matterhorn

Very well located close to the mountain on the other side or the busy town. Close to the river so you can hear the water rushing past while in your room. Spacious rooms that were clean and comfortable bed. A nice garden with flowers where you can sit and have tea and look at the mountain. It’s one or the oldest hotels established in 1903 and the same family own it. It’s been renovated but still has charm and history. Very friendly staff. Mountain facing room was amazing with a private balcony. Food was delicious

The host was helpful and friendly in the morning. I liked the terrace overlooking the dramatic mountains. Excellent location.

The property is well located,very clean ,staff is super kind and helpful .Very cozy with nice sauna and relax area.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut, ebenso der Kaffee.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Matterhornblick gebucht, aber effektiv gab es von unserem Zimmer aus keinen Matterhornblick. Nur von der gemeinsamen Terrasse, wenn man sich vor den Eingang zum Nachbarzimmer stellte, konnte man zwischen einem riesigen Kran und einem Baugerüst das Matterhorn erspähen. Wir fanden dieses Zimmerangebot, bei dem prominent mit dem Matterhornblick geworben wurde, irreführend und hätten definitiv nicht 50 CHF mehr bezahlt, um einen Kran und eine Baustelle anzuschauen. Das Zimmer befand sich im Parterre an der unteren Strasse und war wegen der Baustelle etwas dunkel und wegen dem Fluss etwas laut.

It was very well located and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was beyond friendly, and let me store my bags while I took a hike after I checked out. And they even let me take a shower in their guest bathroom when I returned! Their breakfast was also quite good. I highly recommend them and will be back next year!

No complaints actually

We had a view of the Matterhorn and it was cloud free! We loved the location because we could take off for a hike or walk and we were convenient to busier shops and restaurants but a little ways away so felt more relaxed and quiet. A great restaurant for dinner was very close by. Enjoyed our stay so much!

Die Lage ist super und das Personal sehr nett. Die Zimmer sind zwar etwas älter aber gross und sauber. Unsere Aufenthalt war sehr schön.

The location & friendly staff

Hotel storico, noto per avere ospitato il grande alpinista Walter Bonatti. Mantiene ancora la vista sul Cervino, sebbene ridotta a causa dei numerosi edifici costruiti successivamente. Camere spaziose con balcone. Buona colazione.

Sebbene la manutenzione sia buona, una parte dell'arredamento andrebbe rinnovata (moquette, poltrone).

The staff were lovely and welcoming - very helpful indeed about extras like storing luggage. The hotel is convenient, comfortable and our room had a wonderful view of the Matterhorn .

The cleanliness of the establishment and the location were good.

However, I did not like that certain items at breakfast were missing and were not replaced when we arrived, as I believe all guests should be offered the same variety. I was also unhappy that the heating in the room was not working. I was told that with 20 degrees outside, heating was not necessary and that we should consider the environment. There was a lot of noise caused by some guests.

Era perfetta.

Das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum Zermatt, dafür sehr ruhige Lage und direkt in Sichtweite ist der Matterhorn. Standardzimmer ausreichend groß. Ausstattung ist gut mit Wasserkocher, Tee und Kaffee. Kühlschrank vorhanden. Zimmer, vorallem das Bad waren sehr sauber. Matratze angenehm weich. Zimmer zum rauschenden Fluss war sehr gut gedämmt. Das Personal ist freundlich.

Ontbijt was heerlijk, super uitgebreid. Hoekkamer met twee grote vensters een een mooi zicht ('alpenblick'). Ook ligging is uitstekend, vlak naast de skilift en toch niet ver van het centrum.

Badkamer is wat oudbollig, maar prima

Gorgeous hotel with super friendly staff. We checked in at exactly 3pm and had a warm welcome from reception. Rooms were very clean and warm (much needed in February). Breakfast had a good selection. Location was good (approximately 10 min walk from the train station, slightly hilly). Price was a little expensive but in Zermatt terms, it was very reasonable and 100% worth the extra money!! Would absolutely return!

Super Lage, kurzer Fussweg ohne grosse Steigungen zur Talstation. Blick nach vorne frei und Gartengrundstück nebenan gibt schönen Blick beim Frühstück. Schöne Terrasse vor dem Zimmer mit seitlichem Blick auf das Skigebiet. Sehr leckeres Frühstück mit allem was man braucht. Frische Blumen im Rezeptionsbereich und beim Frühstück, sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Skiraum praktisch ohne Stufen vom Weg zu erreichen.
