When we first arrived on August 19 I hadn’t realized that I had booked street view This was our second time staying at the hotel on our way to Tinos. Both my husband and I have worked our entire lives in the hotel industry. I asked if I could be upgraded to an ocean view and was refused. I did just stay again September 17 and made sure I didn’t make the same mistake. I was surprised that you do not have non smoking floors. It’s annoying not to be able to sit on the balcony because your neighbour is smoking

Room was nice. Restaurant on site had a great Greek salad. Shower was excellent.

Airport shuttle only comes one an hour so departing would be 7:30 8:30 9:30 so on. Returning to the airport would be 7,8, 9 and so on. So if you miss that window you're waiting for an hour and that's exactly what happened. Hotel provides no toiletries. No shampoo,no soap, no lotion. Luckily I had brought some from our last hotel stay. The light over the bathroom sink does not turn off unless you remove your key card from the electrical source. You can't do that and still get electricity most importantly air conditioning. So it required us to keep the light over the bathroom sink on all night which was not conducive to sleeping. Tried calling the front desk multiple times to ask how to turn it off and the line was busy. Then went to the WhatsApp which was how they were contacting me doing my stay and they didn't answer that either.

While our room had a great view with a small balcony for a superior room, the layout of the room and size of the room was somewhat tight for adults with 2 medium size suitcases and 2 small carryons.

We stayed here 2 years ago, as location was great for post ferry overnight before homeward bound flight. The staff were helpful but not necessarily, proactively so. Whilst most staff were friendly.Concierge staff, always had her head down, whilst at her lobby desk, never looked up to engage with guests only when interrupted.Felt out of place with her role! The staff in the evening restaurant were great. The menu was varied and 15% discount as a guest, encouraged you to stay in the hotel for a meal. The food was good too. The rooms are small but you do have a decent balcony space. The view towards the ferry is worth the extra, as the street view is pretty dismal. Complimentary transfer to the airport on the hour was another key factor in choosing this hotel again.

The safe deposit box is incredibly small. The hotel is looking tatty in places and in need of renewal eg.restaurant tables .The shower cubicle looks grubby but I think it is not dirty ,simply constant wear and tear. It requires a refresh, soon too.An issue for hotel leadership, not the cleaning team. The staff in the restaurant in the morning, were not so friendly or helpful compared to the evening team. No management oversight of breakfast being replenished either, was seen. Again,absence of hotel leadership on site. The vehicle that transported us to the airport was taped together too, at the rear due to a previous accident. Finally, remove the perspex barriers at check in.Your staff cannot hear the guests response and vica versa. Sadly, this repeat experience will influence our choice to either fly direct from the airport to an island or simply use, Piraeus always.

Vi är återkommande gäster, hotellet har ett utmärkt läge nära färjorna samt det trevliga centrum med bra restauranger och tavernor. Enkla och fräscha rum med balkong. Bra frukost. Toppen med transfer till/från flygplatsen.

Rumspriset är väl högt.

SHUTTLE AND GOOD BREAKFAST

On check in we had been upgraded to a huge room with a great balcony and view of the port.So relaxing to watch the ferries .We stayed in hotel and had a fabulous evening meal.The waiting staff were very 'polished' and service great. The early morning shuttle bus to airport was great and 'speedy ' taking a coastal route taxis avoid. We hope to use again on our next Greek island trip.

Hotel don't arrange a meet taxi at port as Avra is a close location. As elderly(78) but luckily fit, we were refused a yellow taxi on arriving at the Seajet quay. All wanted longer 'airport ' fares. Avra is a bit of a walk in the heat with cases etc. One taxi wanted 50€ for a 2 minute ride!!😵‍💫! So we walked slowly and did it ourselves.But next time will investigate this more! Avra is fabulous non the less !✔️✔️✔️

Hotel is very convenient for the port of Rafina. The airport shuttle worked well

Room was very small. bed was not very comfortable. Our terrace had broken floor tiles.

Le petit déjeuner est vraiment très, très médiocre avec des produits industriels très , très bas de gamme. Dire qu'il y a une plage à côté de l' hôtel c'est beaucoup s'avancer car elle est très, très sale avec des milliers de mégots et autres déchets jamais ramassés. C'est une plage publique qui n'appartient pas à l'hôtel mais quand même...

The property was very close to the port. We were able to walk right to it.

Check in took long due to the traffic from the port and all the people checking in at the same time

The location: on walking distance to the ferries - the beach - the lovely terrace, watching the ferries coming and going - the friendly staff - the lovely and affordable food and of course: the free airport shuttle! It was the 3rd time I stayed at Avra Hotel and I will come back. I will recommend it to my friends in Belgium.

The shuttle bus from the airport to the hotel was not a great experience We were waiting at the stop for our bus for quite some time and almost missed it bcz it wasn't parked properly. The driver had stopped behind an other van and we couldn't even see it

La posizione permette di percorrere comodamente a piedi verso la spiaggia, mangiare e passeggiare lungo il porto . La colazione ha ampia scelta sia per il dolce sia per il salato. Possibilità di deposito bagagli e di navetta da/per Rafina.

The shuttle transfer was really convenient and appreciated. The hotel is very close to the seaside - I assume you could swim in the sea if you wanted (I arrived late at night and left in the morning so it was not an option). I did enjoy the breakfast. And the personnel was very friendly.

Comfortable room with a nice view of the port and incoming and departing ferries for our last night in Greece before flying home. The shuttle service was as advertised, on time and was a comfortable ride.

The property is gorgeous! Very clean! It is nicely located by the port so we walked right to our ferry. The restaurant was good, however, on our last day the food -eggs , bacon etc were not ready on time. We waited til 6:40’ still not available. Otherwise the breakfast food was good. We had several paid meals as well and they were delicious Theirs a blonde hair guy server. He is amazing!!

The blonde lady at front desk not friendly at all. Actually kind of rude. But the red head lady super nice and helpful

The hourly free airport shuttle is a great feature, so covenient. While the rooms are on the small side, they are very clean and well supplied. The food is good and the breakfast buffet extensive.

The port traffic is extensive at certain hours.

The bus shuttle/reception area staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was amazing with a wide selection for everyone. All the food was very tasty. The hotel so close to the port -very easy to catch ferry the next day

The location is perfect, the shuttle was exactly what I needed, and breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

The room is on small side, rather old, the towels was shabby some of them were torn. There was no blankets and my option was to either turn on the AC and freeze or open the door and let the mosquitoes in. I froze. Wish I could get up in the middle of the night and go to the reception looking for a blanket or for help with the AC, but I was too tired. All in all, this place could well do with a lick of paint and new linens.

My family of 5 had a quick stay at Avra before our flight back home. The room was small but cozy, the beds were comfortable. We booked because of the free shuttle to the airport which was super convenient.

The bathroom door was just a glass swinging door, and it didn't close, which was interesting if we used the toilet because others would definitely see us. Even when taking a shower, so that was the only downside.

The free shuttle from and to the airport. The location is in the middle of rafina village and serounded with many restaurants.Nice vue from the room to the sea.

The room is not so spacious but due to only one night layover between flights is reasonable.

What a perfect location to spend the night! We needed something close to the airport for one night after a long journey. The shuttle bus took about 20 minutes and the ride was very nice. There are many bars and restaurants and places to walk around once at the hotel. The room was spotless and comfortable. We took a room facing the sea which made sitting on the balcony very enjoyable. The beds were very comfortable too.

The shuttle was easy to use by following the instructions provided. I ate at the restaurant and used the included discount, and enjoyed a walk along the water. The staff were very helpful in directing me to the supermarket within walking distance to get items that were in some delayed luggage. This was a great option for a single night stopover in Athens!

Shuttle bus to and from airport was awesome. Shuttle bus arrived to airport on time to pick us up. Shuttle bus runs on the half hour. It is a 30 minute drive to the hotel. Restaurant was open late until 10:45 pm and was able to eat a nice meal after arriving late from our flight. Rooms were spacious and clean with a nice size bathroom and personal amenities. Upon arrival to hotel, we reserved shuttle bus for the following day at 6 am to go back to the airport.

Due to our early morning shuttle bus pick up, we did not have time to try the breakfast.
