This is a lovely resort in a very laid back part of Bali. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are amazing, so kind and helpful at all times. It has an air of peace and tranquillity and is the perfect place to relax. The breakfast is excellent, both restaurants offer a good choice of food and the spa is also outstanding.

There are works currently going on on the beach but this is not under the control of the hotel, we were lucky during our 4 days there that there was not much going on and it in no way detracted from a very enjoyable stay.

The lovely staff gave me a free upgrade to the beautiful ocean view suite which was just breathtaking! View of the ocean, pool and coconut trees from the comfortable bed, a large bath in the bathroom and beautiful wooden accents throughout. A really lovely room

Unfortunately the resort food was abysmal, which normally wouldn't matter but when you're in Candidasa, the options are really limited so you rely on the resort more for dining. It was also quite expensive; a basic Nasi Goreng was over 100k and was nowhere near as good as the warung down the road where it was much cheaper. It was just unfortunate that even the Indonesian food was expensive here

De mooie tuin was heel fijn. De twee zwembaden zijn heerlijk.Elke dag zijn er activiteiten, de fietstocht met Wayang was super en de wandeling met Desi was ook heel leuk. Het ontbijt was heel uitgebreid en lekker. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk. We konden met een shuttle van het hotel naar de winkel en naar Virgin Beach.

De werkzaamheden aan het strand zijn al een eind opgeschoten. De boardwalk wordt prachtig!

This resort is a gem hidden in a traditional village in SE Bali. The resort is cozy, with a variety of rooms and villas; we had a terrace with ocean and garden view which was very pleasant. The vegetation in the garden and around rooms and villas is beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast has a large variety of Balinese and western food and the venue overseeing the sea is fantastic. Access to beach is not available due to coastal restoration work, but the hotel provides free shuttle to a nearby beach. The proximity to the Blue Lagoon (short trip by fishing boat) and snorkeling is a plus. We had a great experience, much better than in the overcrowded South Bali touristic areas.

An amazing resort away from the crowds of seminyak and ubud, feels like old Bali which i love. Beautiful bungalows and the most serene location, the staff are beyond helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay, but I have to caveat this by saying that because we the beach is not usable, we got upgraded to a much nicer room (junior suite) - if we got the room we booked (not nearly as nice) or if we'd pay the full price for the room we were given (3x the price), the overall value for money would be a lot lower. However, with this upgrade, the room was super nice - very spacious with a big terrace/balcony and right next to the pool/restaurant. The garden with the sun beds is beautiful - mountains on one side, ocean on the other. In terms of food, there is one local restaurant (quite good) and one Italian restaurant (mediocre). Overall very peaceful environment for relaxing, lots of green/nature - we ended up staying one more night at the end.

The beach is not available - as I mentioned, we got a big room upgrade that made up for it, but it's a real shame, as it would have otherwise been a great beach resort. The room we were initially given (garden bungalow) was very dark and dingy and quite far from the pool/garden - glad we didn't have to stay there, this upgrade was really night and day difference. The pool area is really nice, but it's a too small, as there are many families with kids, so the pool is not really usable most of the day.

Das Personal ist perfekt geschult und überdurchschnittlich gut. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Fitnessraum Pool wo man Bahnen schwimmen kann.

Das der Zugang zum Strand gesperrt ist hat uns im ersten Moment gestört. Aber die Anlage und das Personal ist so gut 😊 das wir das Salzwasser nicht gebraucht haben man sieht es ja und die Atmosphäre ist da.

Es war ein sehr tolles Hotel, in dem wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt haben. Das Frühstück und das Essen waren sehr lecker. Abends gab es manchmal auch Live Musik und Unterhaltung. Es ist etwas abgelegen, was wir aber nach dem Trubel in den Touristenhochburgen sehr genossen haben. Auf dem weitläufigen Gelände hat man auch seine Ruhe. Die Bauarbeiten waren gerade auch nicht vor dem Hotel, sodass man den ganzen Tag Meeresrauschen und Entspannung am Pool hatte. Das Spa war auch sehr angenehm und auch bezahlbar. Der Transport zum Strand (der hauseigene kann gerade nicht benutzt werden) war unkompliziert und zügig. Sobald es einen Wunsch gab, wurde er sofort vom Personal ausgeführt, egal wen man gefragt hat. Das Personal hat gutes Englisch, z.T. sogar Deutsch gesprochen.

Das Bett war zwar bequem, aber die Bettwäsche hat sich nicht so hochwertig angefühlt. Zwischen den Laken der Bettdecke war eine Wolldecke. Am Pool und auf dem Gelände war das Mobiliar (Schirmständer, Auflagen der Liegen) schon etwas abgenutzt, besonders für den sonst hohen Standard des Hotels. Die Skulpturen der Delfine am Pool verloren zum Teil ihre Flossen, vielleicht sollte man sie lieber ganz abbauen.

Wir haben hier 9 wunderbare Nächte verbracht. Das Resort ist wunderschön - weitläufig mit vielen Pflanzen und Palmen. Unser Gartenbungalow war perfekt, sowohl von der Lage als auch von der Ausstattung des Zimmers. Es war ruhig und dennoch zentral gelegen, so dass man schnell am Pool, Rezeption oder den Restaurants war. Super, um an einem Pooltag schnell mal auf‘s Zimmer zu gehen. Das Zimmer war ausreichend geräumig, das Badezimmer sehr geräumig und gepflegt. Generell haben wir das Resort als sehr gepflegt und ordentlich erlebt. Besonders gut war das Personal im Resort, das außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich war. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl und wunderbar aufgehoben gefühlt. Das Frühstück war für uns sehr gut und boot die richtige Balance zwischen Auswahl und Überangebot. Besonders die Live Cooking Station für Eispeisen war ausgezeichnet. Es gab auch eine Station für frisch geschnittenes Obst, an der man sich einen Obstteller zusammenstellen lassen konnte. Außerdem eine kleine glutenfreie Ecke. Außerdem positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass der Kaffee an der Bar mit einer Siebträgermaschine zubereitet wurde und nicht etwa aus einem Automaten kam. Die beiden Restaurants, die während unseres Aufenthalts geöffnet waren (Ocean Terrace Restaurant & Basil Restaurant) waren in Ordnung. Das Frühstück gibt es im Ocean Terrace Restaurant. Die Lage war für uns perfekt, da wir von Gili Trawangan kamen und somit eine kurze Anreise vom Hafen hatten. Wir würden empfehlen, über das Hotel im Vorfeld einen Transfer vom Hafen zu buchen, was wir leider nicht gemacht haben. Der Hafen ist sehr chaotisch. Grab und Gojek funktionieren hier leider nicht, Fahrer nehmen die Fahrten an, kommen aber nicht. Dafür stehen sehr viele Taxifahrer am Hafen, die hartnäckig ihre Dienste anbieten. Am Ende hatten wir keine andere Wahl, als so zum Hotel zu kommen. Das Hotel bietet einen kostenlosen Shuttle in das nahegelegene Örtchen an.

Der Aufenthalt war durchweg positiv, Verbesserungsvorschläge sind minimal. Das WLAN war nicht besonders stark, die Verbindung ist oft abgebrochen und die Geschwindigkeit generell niedrig. Speisen und Getränke sind recht teuer, was vor allem an den sehr hohen Servicegebühren von 11% liegt. Auf unserer Reisen waren meist 5-6% üblich. Die Preise sind netto angegeben, so dass mit Steuern und Service Charge 21% hinzukommen. Die Pasta im Basil Restaurant war zwar lecker, allerdings so wenig, dass wir noch eine Pizza bestellen mussten.

Couldn't get to the beach due to renovations. Quite a walk to town for additional restauants.

Cannot say enough about Candi Beach. It was the perfect respite far from the madding crowd down in Denpasar/Canguu etc...The hotel is a cross between resort and boutique - large enough to have amenities but small enough to feel intimate. The setting in the bay, the lush gardens, the tranquility, just lovely. Our Luxury Villa was magnificent, nestled in the trees with its own pool and cabana, matched with an uber spacious (85m2?), tasteful, marble/wood clad room full of light. Walk in double shower a treat. Our kids had a junior suite which was also fabulous with a large terrace and cabana. The spa was a delight, the 2 restaurants (Italian and International/Balinese) had a large and varied menu, breakfast buffet was fabulous (prepare to put on 1 kg or 2) and to top it all off the staff were beyond charming. Nothing was too much trouble and we were always greeted with a smile and warmth.

The beach in Candidasa is currently closed as part of a government sea wall protection programme. So no direct beach access at the moment. We knew this and it did not detract from our stay at all. The hotel arranged a daily shuttle to a nearby beach which was fab. But once open again it will be the icing on the cake!

Chambres pas du tout insonorisées. Des 6h du matin nous entendions les chariots passés et le personnel qui parlait entre eux.

Zimmer top ! Personal top ! Essen ausgezeichnet ! Strand leider wegen Bauarbeiten der Regierung gesperrt. Das haben wir aber gewusst !

The rooms were clean and spacious with great planting around them. We were close to both pools. We could hear the sea at night. The staff were all exceptional and attentive. Polls were always clean. The breakfast food choice was incredible, everything delicious and high quality.

We found the shelf above the toilet was too close to the cistern and also because of its slats we couldn’t store things on it.

Excellent care of my gluten free Coeliac diet and meals provided.

Hôtel corect. Chambres spacieuses et très propres. Personnel très agréable et attentionné. Cuisine corecte, à essayer sans hésiter les plats à base de poisson et "ciorbă de legume" (excellente). Possibilité d'avoir un taxi pour visiter Tenganan, Taman Ujung, Tirta Gangga et Lempuyang, pour 700k IDR. Et plein d'autres visites a faire.

Hôtel un peu vieillissant, mais le temps n'épargne rien, non?!

No access to the beach which we didn’t know before buying a non-refundable stay. Poor breakfast, swimming pools only the sun and no place to hide in shade.

Beautiful resort with a great view of the beach. Swimming pools where great for the kids. They loved to feed the fishes at the reception. We cocktailparty was very nice to attend. We had a great time. Resort does its best to give you a good experience, even with the setback of construction work in front of the resort.

Hotel usytuowany nad samym oceanem. Pomimo pracującej w oddali koparki, czas spędzony przy basenie był bardzo relaksujący. Cudowny personel, wyśmienite śniadania, co kilka dni atrakcje dla gości hotelowych na terenie obiektu.

La situation en bord de mer, le fait d’avoir une magnifique vue sur l’océan tout en étant au bord d’une belle piscine. Beau jardin avec palmiers majestueux. Petit dej avec vue sur la mer le matin est un vrai bonus ! Le spa est superbe au niveau du rooftop, avec des cabines qui ont une belle vue sur le jardin et la mer. Le personnel du Spa est très professionnel et d’excellent niveau ! Le cocktail d’accueil dans le jardin avec apéro offert et groupe de musique, très sympa ! Notre chambre superbe avec jacuzzi sur le balcon en hauteur et une incroyable vue à 180 avec vue à la fois sur la montagne d’un côté et la mer de l’eau Le shuttle gratuit 2 fois / jour pour aller à Virgin Beach qui est une très belle plage à 30’

Même s’il y a en effet des travaux sur la plage car il y a un gros projet de réaménagement de la côte pour protéger de l’érosion marine, ce n’est pas trop gênant et de ce fait le bénéfice est d’avoir des prix plus attractifs ;-) Mais il faudrait que l’annonce sur booking.com sur les travaux de construction soit faite AVANT de réserver (surtout quand c’est une réservation non annulable / modifiable) sinon on a le sentiment d’être « pris au piège », ce qui peut être un sentiment désagréable.

Beautiful laid out property and the villa was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The pool was large and well maintained and was great to relax in the gazebo. Plenty of choice of food in the two restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay at the property and will definitely return for another visit.

Nothing. Once the rock wall construction finishes it will be great to be able to swim in the beach as the sand looks nice and clean and the water is clear.

C’est un joli hôtel, propre, il y a deux belles piscines et le personnel est très gentil, surtout le personnel qui est au bar vers la piscine. Les cocktails sont très bons ! Il y a aussi quelques petits restaurants très bons à côté de l’hôtel si vous souhaitez vous balader le soir.

La salle de bain est un peu vieille, forte odeur de moisi qui ne part pas ! Il faudrait y installer des ventilations afin que l’humidité puisse s’évaporer… Ls plage était malheureusement en travaux pendant notre séjour donc beaucoup de bruit à cause des camions et pelleteuses. Les taxis de l’hôtel sont un peu chers et nous sommes tomber sur un chauffeur de taxi qui s’endormait au volant.. Très dangereux.

Ein wunderschönes Resort fernab des Trubels von Balis Süden. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und erfüllt jeden Wunsch. Wir haben vor Ort ein Upgrade für die Villa gebucht! Ein Traum! Sehr zu empfehlen ist auch die ansässige Tauchschule von diving.de mit den Tauchguides Jenny und Tom! Auch der Yogalehrer Wayan ist einer der besten mit dem ich jemals Yoga gemacht habe. Wir wollten hier gar nicht mehr weg und kommen wieder!

Momentan wird der Strand von der Regierung saniert, weshalb man ihn bis 2027 nicht nutzen kann. Uns hat es nicht gestört, da das Hotel kostenlos zum wunderschönen Virgin Beach shuttelt.

De prachtige locatie met uitzicht op het strand , maar vooral het ontzettend aardige personeel altijd bereidt om je met een grote glimlach te helpen. Ja het strand is gesloten maar ik heb het niet gemist de zwembaden waren prachtig en het virgin beach waar je met de pendel bus heen gebracht wordt is prachtig met heerlijke massages. We hebben ons geen moment verveeld en ik zou het iedereen aanraden je wordt hier op je wenken bediend. Ook geen moment het idee gehad dat het druk was terwijl het toch volgeboekt was.

Eigenlijk niks misschien dat we niet volledig zeezicht hadden door een grote plant voor onze deur .

The staff were so accommodating and kind, the scuba diving on site was great, infinity pool was amazing. Airport transfer was seamless.

Not much I didn’t like

I enjoyed our stay with my family at this hotel. We had plenty to do. Playing football on the lawn was very nice. In the evenings we had different entertaining organized by the hotel (traditional dance, live band, etc.). Our shuttle driver Komang (bell boy/driver) was very nice. He spoke very well English and he could give us an insight into the life of the locals.

Unfortunately, the hotel beach was closed due to government project but the hotel organized shuttle transport to a nearby beach that was very nice.

Otelin konumu ve iç düzeni gerçekten muazzam. Bali'nin havasını ve ortamını kesinlikle size yansıtıyor. Odalar gayet güzel ancak biraz nem kokusu var. Klimalar yetersiz gibi geldi bana ama serinliği de sağlıyor. Sahilin kapalı olması olumsuz bir yorum olarak belirtilebilir.

Odalardaki rutubet kokusu biraz azaltılabilir bunun için çeşitli ürünler ve çözümler var. Sahil ve denizin erişime kapalı olduğu da rezervasyon sırasında bir not olarak belirtilmeli diye düşünüyorum.

Great services, people are very kind, open and show real sincerity. We could feel Bali each moment, calm and relaxed atmosphere! Room has all accessories, fully equipped and cleaned daily. Location is great by having around stores and restaurants. Great price. Worth to flight 35h one way to have this experience. Resort has all needed amenities. All stuff are open and nice, especially Komang (bell boy/driver). He offered us a great services by driving smooth 👌 Thank you all by doing great jobs!

Die weitläufige Hotelanlage ist wunderschön grün& gepflegt. Das Besondere ist eine großer Palmenhain mittendrin. Dadurch gibt es viele Schattenplätze rund um die Pools. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Auch weil das gesamte Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit war.

Leider ist der Strandbereich wegen einer staatlichen Sanierung des Küstenabschnitts gesperrt. Das Hitel bietet ein Shuttleservice zum traumhaften VIrgin Beach (20 Minuten Fahrt).

The staff are really exceptional from gardeners right through to front of house, they really made our week here memorable. The villas are absolutely amazing, beds super comfortable, bathroom palatial. The serene setting is beautiful and once the beach project is finished it will be perfect. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 😊

Très bel établissement avec des villas avec piscine privée exceptionnelles. L’endroit est idyllique et paradisiaque.

La plage était fermée pour travaux. Et nous avions justement choisi ce Resort pour sa proximité avec la plage.

We loved the resort it was a beautiful oasis. My kids loved the badminton/volleyball net and soccer and swimming in the three pools. It was so lovely we barely left the resort!

Nothing - I was worried about the beach works but it wasn’t bad at all when we were there. No active works on the weekend along the frontage it was further down but couldn’t see or hear it.

We look forward to our next visit once the beach construction is complete. The staff were excellent, breakfast was yummy.

The beach being closed but this did not ruin our visit as we took a complimentary car to another beach. Other restaurants not being open however menus available at the main restaurant

Alle faciliteiten die je maar wenst bij een resort, waren er en tiptop in orde. Supergoed ontbijt!

Restaurants hadden gerechten niet en service in restaurants was matig (Obers kwamen meermaals met gerechten aan tafel die niet voor ons waren, lang wachten (20-25 minuten) op überhaupt menukaart of drankjes. Rookvrij resort, wees daarop bedacht.

De klantvriendelijkheid is echt enorm fijn. Je wordt heel gastvrij ontvangen en het hele resort is mooi. Lekker eten in het restaurant en vervolgens ‘s avonds in de kamer kunnen slapen met een fijne airco. Wij hadden een kamer aan de tuinkant en dat was heel fijn. Vanuit de zitjes konden de meiden spelen op het gras en konden we zo naar het zwembad. Het zwembad is echt prachtig, terwijl je op je bedje ligt kijk je ook uit over de zee met de wind en de geluiden ervan. Ondanks het conservational project aan het strand, hebben wij geen overlast ervaren. De shuttleservice naar Virgin Beach was goed geregeld en Virgin Beach is prachtig. De shuttleservice naar candidasa ook heel fijn, maar Candidasa zelf is niet zo groot. Ook erg lekkere mocktails en fruitsappen.

De enige opmerking die ik heb is dat de wasservice best prijzig is. We zijn verder gelopen naar een lokale wasserette en dat scheelde voor onze was ongeveer €30.

Small rooms

Eigentlich ein schönes Resort, schöner Pool, tolles italienisches Restaurant. Der Strand ist im Moment nicht offen aufgrund von arbeiten. Das wurde aber sehr offen kommuniziert.

Zimmer und Hauptrestaurant. Cocktails waren nicht lecker, Frühstück fanden wir nicht so gut. Lange auf den Kaffee gewartet, Eierspeise nicht sehr appetitlich.

We had an absolutely wonderful two-week stay at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome by the exceptional staff, who were always friendly, professional, and happy to help with anything we needed. The hotel itself is stunning and impeccably clean. Our room and all the public areas were spotless throughout our stay, which really added to the relaxing atmosphere. We chose all inclusive and have never experienced an all inclusive quite like this one. Breakfast was the usual buffet but lunch and dinner were both a la carte with 3 courses available for each. The food was truly outstanding, with a fantastic variety and excellent quality at every meal. Every dish was beautifully prepared, and there was always something delicious to enjoy. The all inclusive drinks were also of an excellent standard, local beer, spirits and wine were all very good. After two weeks, we genuinely didn't want to leave. The combination of a beautiful hotel, exceptional service, outstanding food, and impeccable cleanliness made this one of the best holidays we've had. A special mention goes to Radita and Urip from the bar who always welcomed us with a smile, remembered our drinks and provided excellent service throughout our stay. Iluh for her continuous hard work, always with the biggest smile and the lady from reception who arranged a beautiful birthday surprise. We would highly recommend this hotel despite the ongoing beach works which had little impact on our stay. Make sure you make use of the shuttle to virgin beach which is absolutely stunning! Thank you Candi Beach for memories we will never forget, we can't wait to return one day.

Depending on the room you get two or four 300ml bottles per day. You can use water dispenser in the lobby, however, access to drinking water without hussle at such climate is a must. It was very inconvenient that I had to call reception during the night just to be able to drink water. The curtains had a moldy smell.

Beautiful resort. Very good location. We stayed at the luxury ocean view suite with jacuzzi. It was perfect 🤩 we enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were amazing and very friendly. Everything we needed was in our room. We spent part of our honeymoon there and it was also my husband’s birthday . The staff was surprised him with a dessert with a candle during our breakfast . They also decorated the room for his birthday in secret during our breakfast exactly as we discussed. The staff who cleaned our room were very nice and so much fun. They prepared towel birthday decorations everywhere 😀 Awan is the best . You should promote him 😀 the food at the restaurant was very good .

There was nothing we didn’t like . Everything was perfect and we would definitely come back again.
