Very clean and lovely location overlooking the sea. Listening to the waves when falling asleep was relaxing. Staff so helpful and friendly. The food was lovely. Nice soft and comfy bed ☺️

You were by the sea but there was no beach access. The hotel did provide a shuttle to the local beach if needed.

Het resort is een prachtige plek in het rustige Candidasa! De kamer is mooi, het bed was goed en het personeel super vriendelijk! Het restaurant wat bij het resort ligt heeft een goed en uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet en een goede dinerkaart. Het zwembad is lekker groot en er zijn genoeg bedjes. Al met al een goede plek om heerlijk te ontspannen!

De badkamer is wat gedateerd. De föhn zelf werd flink heet, maar gaf weinig lucht om je haar te drogen. Daarnaast zat de douchekop vast aan de muur en niet verplaatsbaar, wat onhandig is voor langere mensen. Eigenlijk alleen luxedingetjes, maar hadden wel ons verblijf perfect kunnen maken.

Bungalows were great beautifully manicured gardens fantastic pool great breakfast and some good local warungs within walking distance.

Het resort ziet er mooi uit, van aankomst tot aan het restaurant. Het restaurant is gezellig gemaakt met lampjes en is direct gelegen aan het zwembad. Je kan daardoor gemakkelijk iets bij het zwembad bestellen. Personeel is behulpzaam. Verder was het ontbijt prima met voldoende keuze. Zowel Aziatische mogelijkheden als Westerse. In het bijzonder vonden wij de wisselende Aziatische lekkernijen leuk. Qua locatie is het prima, voor zover je beschikt over een scooter of driver. Als je het binnenland inrijdt, zit je zo in de jungle en is het authentiek! Tot slot, de kamers waren schoon en housekeeping deed goed hun best.

De kamer was redelijk gedateerd en er kwamen vliegbeestjes binnen door de kieren als je het “warme” licht aan had staan in de avond. Zodra je door hebt dat je dat niet moet doen, hebben we ze ook niet meer binnen gezien. Overigens waren de bedden prima en groot.

Good location next to the sea. There was no building work for the sea wall going on when we stayed. Nice mature garden in a slightly older property. Quite stylish in a Balinese way. Breakfast was good. Staff were nice.

Should caution that the hot water was very hot (supervise children). Booked twin bed rooms with booking.com but when we arrived they said that they had not notification so we only got one. Hotel recommended car rent is cheap but the vehicle was a little beaten up. It worked fine though.

Absolutely loved the hotel The satay chicken and nasi goreng were faves along with the orange pancakes amaaazing, the breakfast selection was good, the staff are great, the view and grounds are perfect, the pool area, the size of the jr suite all fantastic. Can't wait to see the coastal extension. Flashest hotel I've stayed in in all my time in Indo. I lost my phone right as we were about to leave and so many staff were helping to find it an ensure it got back to me Terima kasih Ramayana for a fabulous chill couple of days

I didn't like the stench from the bathroom and the bathroom sink didn't empty very well which I forgot to tell the recpetion.

Upgraded room which was spacious! Older mostly package tourist clientele, lovely pool, good breakfast, lovely staff. Difficult to find a restaurant outside hotel with crazy busy road but once waterfront upgrade has been completed, will be better. Outside of the town, but easy to organise a driver from hotel for excursions. Busy but efficient hotel.

We had a great time. We got upgraded to a beautiful Junior Suite, the resort itself is also gorgeous and the pool area is great. Breakfast and food at the restaurant are also great. The staff is wonderful and really kind and helpful! Candi Dasa is a great base for exploring the north/eastern side of the island.

The beach is currently inaccessible due to ongoing construction. Also we would have liked more vegetarian options on the à la carte menu.

Sehr schön gelegenes Hotel in gehobener Kategorie für balinesische Verhältnisse. Sehr gute Küche, sehr schön angelegten Garten mit Pool. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal.

Leider gibt es keinen Strand. Der wird gerade gebaut und es wurde bei der Buchung und an den Webseiten des Hotels nicht erwähnt. Man kann gar nicht auf die Küste rein. Kleinen Trost: es gibt kostenlosen Shuttle zum Virgin Beach, wo man aber Gebühren zahlen muss (Eintritt und Liegen ca. 10,00 Euro/ 2 Personen/Tag inkl. WLAN und Sozialeinrichtungen. Der Pool ist so warm, dass man drinnen keine Abkühlung bekommt. Das Hotel ist im Verhältnis in der Verpflegung sehr teuer.

Great location, close to shops & restaurants. Great day spa; Not overpriced & so relaxing, highly recommend. We went out on boats (tour) & snorkelled near by, great coral & fish. Great Balinese food. Highly recommend ordering a platter as well.. They play drums & bring it out. The Mie Goreng Seafood & the chicken satay also very delicious!👌

Wish they had more food options for kids / teens. Plenty of restaurants near by & highly recommend their Italian restaurant in town (2 min drive / 50,000 / $4)

Nice resort with very caring staff. We stayed in bungalow sea view for 6 days closed to the pool area and enjoying the view of the see from the porch. The bed is very comfortable and the room was cleaned every day. The bathroom area was spacious. Restaurant with quality service and food. The staff is very attentive and treats you very well from your first day.

Het uitzicht was een tegenvaller. Kuststrook wordt verbouwd maar voor het hotel lagen vrachtschepen voor anker. Helaas zorgen deze schepen voor smerige brandstof dampen.

There was no direct beach access but that was not the hotels fault as there was a project of building a rock wall and walkway being done by the government

Bon accueil. Bel environnement avec belle piscine agréable. Chambre familiale très spacieuse avec une bonne literie. Restaurant de l'hôtel sympa. Pour 1 nuit, escale dans notre road trip c'était suffisant.

Odeur vraiment très désagréable dans la salle de bain. Moisissures et poussière autour des fenêtres. Actuellement des travaux au niveau de la plage. Il faut savoir qu'il n'y a pas d'accès à la plage car ce sont des gros rochers devant l'hôtel. Ils font donc d'énormes travaux pour créer une plage. Dans quelques années ça pourra être sympa, en attendant il y a énormément de bruit.

La piscina es preciosa, en primera linea del mar. Tiene tumbonas y servicio de toallas, y también puedes comer allí mismo servido por el mismo restaurante (cosa que no me gusta tanto porqué parece que pueda quedar sucio, aunque siempre lo vi súper limpio). El desayuno consiste en un buffet libre muy completo e incluso tienen un cocinero cocinando huevos al gusto todo el tiempo. El único insecto que vi en mi estancia fueron algunas hormigas voladoras intentando entrar en los botes de miel y mermeladas. Y aún así, todo súper limpio y muy bueno. El personal es tremendamente amable e involucrado. Tuvimos un par de problemas de salud y nos ayudaron rápida y eficientemente a resolverlos. Sin duda volvería a escoger este resort por todo lo dicho y por las vistas al mar, su tranquilidad y sus jardines.

Lo único que no me gustó fue enterarme el último día de que había un servicio de té i merienda que mi habitación tenía incluida pero nadie me informó.

Abgesehen vom Managememt, respektive deren Emtscheidungen, ein gutes Hotel.

Neben der Baustelle zwischen Pool und Meer finden auch LAUTE Arbeiten in gewissen Hotelzimmer statt. Leider wird dies einem nicht mitgeteilt im Vorfeld. So hatten wir vier Tage lang den ganzen Tag 10 Stunden Baulärm direkt im Nachbarzimmer und auf dem Dach. Dies ist nicht schön, will man doch einige entspante Tage Urlaub geniessen. Das Management wollte uns zuerst einige Süssgetränke offerieren...für 10 Stunden Baulärm täglich? Da fühlten wir uns nicht ernst genommen. Die nette Frau an der Reception hakte anschliessend nochmals beim Management nach. Das Resultat war, dass uns das Hotel in einem Jahr eine Nacht schenken würde, wenn wir nochmals nach Bali reisen. Dies ist gleich nochmals eine Farce, denn eine normale Familie aus Europa mit zwei kleinen Kindern kann sich nicht jedes Jahr Urlaub in Bali finanzieren. Schade handelt das Management so ungastfreundlich anstatt das Problem ernst zu nehmen und dem Gast ernsthaft und fair entgegenzukommen (und zwar bei der gegenwärtigen Buchung). Erwarten sie deshalb nichts Grossartiges vom Management, sollte es zu Problemen kommen.

The staff were just wonderfully accommodating, cooperative, friendly and kind. The rooms were impeccable. Beautiful clean well-equipped + spacious. The pool is spacious and beautiful, the spa was comfortable and inexpensive, the restaurant food and drinks were varied and delicious. We also did take a free shuttle from the hotel to a nearby village to get some cash and to visit an old Temple to Shiva which was an interesting excursion... I would stay there again anytime.

Our only disappointment was with the fact that the government has chosen to work on the beach so we were not able to go there. It's currently just a pile of huge rocks. I have to say this is no fault of the business itself. They were just as disappointed as we were, I felt, that we were not allowed access to the beach. And to compensate us, they did upgrade our rooms! When that beach work is finished, Ramayana Candidasa would be an exceptionally beautiful place to visit.

Beautiful location, waking up to the sound of the ocean. Staff are friendly and made the stay amazing. Most comfortable bed I’ve slept in while on holiday in Bali. The grounds are well maintained. The buffet breakfast was very nice with alot of choices.

A beautiful place to stay. The staff were so attentive and helpful. A perfect place for rest and relaxation. We had a beachfront bungalow. It’s was so nice to sit on the verandah and enjoy the spectacular views The buffet breakfast was good value and the meals were great as well. Cannot fault this place and will definitely stay again

Location and approach roads

Tout est très bien les chambres, la piscine le petit déjeuner…le seul souci a été les travaux de la digue de 8h a 17h voire même 19h parfois. Dommage nous ne sommes pas arrivés à la bonne période.

Nous avions été informé de ces travaux par ailleurs, et avions contacté l’hôtel pour savoir ce qu’il en serait pendant notre séjour. Il nous a été répondu que les travaux seraient terminés. Mais malheureusement ce n’était pas le cas, nous avons eu droit aux pelleteuses, marteau-piqueur, va-et-vient de camion qui livraient d’énormes pierres pour stabiliser la digue toute la journée. Une de mes amies a même reçu un éclat de pierre sur son transat. Pour se faire pardonner, la direction nous a offert un massage mais cela compensé à peine les huit jours passés à subir cela.

The pool and restaurant are located on the beach boundary and there was a lovely cool sea breeze at this time of year.

Ja, Naustelle miss manchmal sein aber eine Info dazu im Vorfeld wäre cool. Nachdem ein Nachbar sehr laut Musik am Ankunftstag hörte und in inserem Flügel ein Aufzug eingebaut wurde haben wir uns nicht sehr wohl gefühlt. Aber .....wir haben uns an die Reception gewand und uns wurde sofort ein anderes ...besseres Zimmmer zugewiesen. Danke dafür. Essen , sehr gut und wie immer alle sehr freundlich. Strand wird auch gerade umgebaut.....auch Schade.

Très bel endroit avec un des magnifiques jardins, parties communes. Super piscine. Chambre très agréable et personnel gentil.

Un des plus beaux hôtels de la région du personnel d’une grande amabilité et d’une grande disponibilité. En raison du désagrément, des travaux sur la place, nous avons eu la chance de pouvoir bénéficier d’un repas pour deux personnes ainsi que deux massages offerts par l’hôtel

Nous avons eu la même chance d’être présent pendant des travaux importants sur la plage, ce qui crée des nuisances en terme de bruit avec l’impossibilité d’accéder à la mer au pied de l’hôtel

Stunning location right on beach and nice clean rooms. Great, clean pool and delicious food from Garpu resto. Sumptuous breakfast. Fabulous garden setting.

Beach wall construction (necessary due to beach erosion) with excavators and work crews operating less than 10 metres from front of our allocated ocean facing villa. They did shift us to another room but only after seriously complaining.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit tollem Frühstücksbuffet! Auf Grund der Baustelle mit sehr lauten Baggern haben wir ein Upgrate auf einen Bungalow bekommen.. Fitnessstudio mit guten Geräten ausgestattet.

Das Hotel hat derzeit keinen Strandzugang, dort ist für die nächsten Monate eine Baustelle. In ganz Candi Dasa.

The manager, Mr Oki, provided excellent service. He went out of his way to fix my booking issue and so I was grateful for this. On arrival, the hotel looked magnificent, with its soaring entrance lobby and pretty, flower-filled bungalow setting. The location was well away from the road traffic noise. The pool and restaurant overlooking the sea were as beautiful as the website pictures show. The gym room looked out onto a stunning garden setting.

Unfortunately, noise from nearby beach construction spoilt my stay.

The beach was not available to us because of some construction project. That was disappointing. Takes a long time to get hot water in the shower and water pressure is very low.

L'hôtel est superbe. Les chambres sont spacieuses et le personnel est attentionné et toujours très souriant ! La carte du restaurant est très variée et les plats sont trés bien cuisinés, nous avons également bien profité de leurs cocktails et autres boissons. Le spa est superbe et les massages sont fantastiques.

Les travaux de rénovation/aménagement de la plage de Candidasa étaient en cours juste devant la piscine de l'hôtel pendant tout notre séjour. Gros travaux de 3 pelleteuses bruyantes et dégageant des odeurs de gazole : on peut rêver mieux en réservant à l'avance un endroit paradisiaque !! Le personnel de l'hôtel a fait de son mieux pour compenser ce désagrément (surclassement, massage et repas offerts) Tout en comprenant bien que l'hôtel ne puisse se passer de rentrées financières j'aurai aimé bénéficier d'un séjour tel que décrit dans l'annonce. Donc un avis plus que mitigé alors que l'hôtel hors travaux est un superbe endroit. Peut-être que nous y retournerons (centre de plongée Sianmay très professionnel) mais pas avant de checker plutôt 10 fois qu'une les conditions de l'environnement.

Uima-altaan vesi oli aivan liian klooripitoista. Hotellin ranta-alue on remontin alla (5/2026) ja kaivinkoneet mylläsivät ihan allasalueen vieressä kokopäivän eikä hotelli tiedottanut tästä etukäteen. Vesipulloja sai vain kaksi pientä pulloa per päivä ja loppuajan vettä piti hakea itse aulassa sijaitsevasta automaatista. Ainakin vesiautomaatteja olisi pitänyt tällä systeemillä olla enemmän kuin 2 kpl koko hotellialueella. Aamupalassa oli vain hyvin vähän vaihtelua 6 päivän aikana.

Amazing place, amazing people. The warm pool is the best spot to enjoy your Holliday, and the zen garden is an pasta for relaxation. The restaurant has very nice and yummy options and the orange crepes suzette are the best desert ever 🤩.

The location is absolutely stunning—like a dream. I stayed here last year as well, which is exactly why I chose to return. However, this year the experience was different due to ongoing construction. There were works happening both near the pool area (which I understand was not directly managed by the hotel) and inside the hotel, where some rooms were being renovated. The noise inside was quite intense—although I did receive a notice and apologies from the management one day before, it was very difficult to stay in the room because of the constant disturbance. Considering that I made the reservation back in September and only traveled in April, I believe it would have been fair to be informed in advance about these renovations, so I could decide whether to keep the booking or not. Another change compared to last year was breakfast—it is no longer served at the oceanfront restaurant, but instead in the garden. Other than that, everything was wonderful: the beds are extremely large and comfortable, and the staff is kind and welcoming.

Le personnel est tres chaleureux, la chambre spacieuse et les petits dejeuners sont merveilleux. Et la piscine est un bonheur.

Le principal bemol est que les photos laissent penser qu il y a une plage, alors que non. La plage appartient à l hotel d à côté. Par ailleurs, le gouvernement a lancé des travaux, ce qui fait que les pelleteuses sont à l oeuvre juste à côté de la piscine, ce qui occasionne nuisances sonores et visuelles.

This is a wonderful hotel, which we returned to a year later. I had a birthday and our family anniversary - the hotel congratulated us, and it was nice. The hotel has a large territory, is clean, and the staff is polite.

I'd like the restaurant to reconsider its menu. Although there are European dishes at breakfast and in the restaurant, their taste and standard aren't good enough. I like this hotel, but I was a little disappointed with the food. But that's no reason to give up on this hotel. We've been coming to Candidasa for 10 years, and it's the best hotel for the money.
