The bed was very comfortable and cosy
We've stayed before and will very likely return again as we travel throughout the Maniototo. Brooke is an excellent host.
Peaceful
Parking but not a big issue
Clean, had all we needed. Big comfy bed. Nice linen. No kitchen as in cooking facilities but had crockery, cutlery, toaster & kettle. Complimentary breakfast. Cereal, bread, butter condiments. 2 plug in heaters that more than keep us warm. 2 X fluffy bathrobes. Parking at the door. An eclectic decor that I loved. A nice bathroom. Heaps of hot water and good water pressure. Added bonus. Heaps of comfortable chairs. A full size couch, a rocking chair and 2 X lovely antique chairs.
Nothing. It had all that was needed. Warm and comfy.
This is a really comfortable unit with lots of thoughtful touches. The bed was great, and we appreciated having breakfast provided. The host was very friendly.
Breakfast was generous and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The hosts were excellent and the rooms are beautifully decorated with modern wallpaper and newly covered, but antique style furniture. A very comfy bed with electric blanket. The room had a lovely counter to work on to prepare food for the road - and to serve the generous breakfast.
We liked everything so this is not a criticism but a suggestion - maybe install a stand with a small drying rack next to the basin for the washed dishes, and some hooks or a cupboard to hang a few clothes / jackets in the bedroom, since it was a big room.
Cosy, quiet, great to be able to use the spa
Room slightly tight
Very good breakfast, Hosts were really good and supplied us with things we did not have. BBQ area was great and clean. Very easy to find, and location was great. When we asked about roads etc, she was had great knowledge of the area.
Parking was good, but other car owners parked in the middle of the parking area, and on both occasions we had to ask if they could just shift their vehicles so both cars could fit. Host was very apologetic.
Great hosts. Clean and comfortable with your privacy considered. Had a lovely spa.
Loved this place. Super friendly owners, clean well looked after rooms, excellent breakfast supplied, bloody good comfortable beds. Two gorgeous dogs as well. Highly recommend this place.
Handy location with privacy and good views. We enjoyed the spa. Brooke was lovely. We had the cat come visit, which we thought was a treat.
Seeing as there was no decent food to be had in town, a microwave would be handy.
Awesome stay spa was good
Big bed in unit one needs a topper pad little bit uncomfortable
Loved staying here, so peaceful, handy & very comfortable! Enjoyed the gorgeous pets x
Nice quiet location. Unit was well appointed and very clean. Bed was very comfortable.
We felt a little awkward not meeting our host on the night of our arrival. As we hadn't previously made arrangements to charge our e-bikes we waited to check it was ok after meeting Bonnie - also we were unsure about using the spa. We did find our host very friendly and helpful and we could have rung her with our queries as we did have her contact details.
Excellent
No suggestions
A very comfortable in a garden setting. The bed was great, the bathroom clean and modern and great care has been taken to tastefully furnish the unit. There was plenty of room for our gear. We used this as a base to cycle two sections of the Otago Rail Trail.
Everything was good.
Comfortable clean and tastefully presented
Difficult to wash dishes in bathroom handbasin
Brook was lovely and very welcoming. The bed was very large and comfortable and the unit was very well serviced with great large towels and very cozy. The location was ideal with off street parking.
Brook left us with breakfast, brown bread would have been better - a small thing. It would be good to get into the corners of the shower to make it squeeky clean
Cozy with plenty of space. It had everything we needed. Would recommend
Really great peaceful country retreat.. great hosts.. milk and bread in fridge on arrival. Scott was a great help when cooking outside. Id definately reccomend this BnB. We will be back.

The main room was spacious but cosy at the same time, the weather was a little chilly but extra bedding and heater provided. Cereal, toast and condiments provided. Brooke the host and husband (who we met on check out) were really down to earth and great for local Knowledge plus things to do a little further a field. Not far from Ranfurly are some great little pubs, which were recommended by Brooke, a king with other things and happy to help enquire or book. We even had access to the hot tub which was great on a chilly summer evening. In Ranfurly a few little cafes for breakfast and lunch available. We didn’t do any of the walks or bike riding as we are fair weather ppl haha but there is a a fee around.
Nothing
Everything. Brooke and Scott great hosts. Very comfortable. Great bed, good shower and comfortable chairs, couch to relax on. Enjoyed spa and out door bbq area.
Ranfurlyis a beautiful little country town in central otago after few days on the road was fantastic place to stay to recharge the batteries Property was extremely well presented warm and cosy wished we could of stayed for longer 👌👌👌 Brooke and Scott Are Excellent hosts Highly recommend for travelers passing though we will definitely stay again
Absolutely nothing Brooke and Scotts BnB property was the perfect quiet cosy retreat
Fantastic accomodation, hosts were very helpful. Thoroughly recommend!
Nothing.
Quiet, comfortable room with a very welcoming host. Yummy homemade bread
The weather was unreasonably cold.
No complaints. Nice relaxing getaway with my dog. Friendly hosts
Big comfy bed! Super clean room. The hot tub and bar area was lovely
Nothing
There was nil communication when asked questions for over 1 week before arriving. When we arrived, they thought we we there for 1 night, not 2. Not very organised. Cold room with little mobile heater . It is overpriced for a town like Ranfurly which has nothing to offer. Pup is not recommended by locations as foof terrible. Cafe called E Central Cafe. service poor and food half frozen. 😢. Eggs Benedict had salmon out of a packet that was still frozen in the middle with eggs on top. Low class and Ranfurly is a town to drive past and not stop.
Nice halfway stop between Queenstown and Dunedin
There was everything we required with a very comfortable warm bed. We enjoyed the quietness
Toaster should be emptied and wiped down after use, but otherwise everything ok, would return.
Easy to find Nice unit
All good
Thank you for your hospitality and warm welcome!
Beautiful clean and comfortable. Hosts were amazing and had great advice for the area.
Nothing
Lovely comfy stay Thank you
Imformation was a bit off bet. Tavern in Nasbey is closrd monday and Tuesday nights
The room was spacious with comfortable beds and a couch
We would have liked the use of a microwave for heating food up
Wonderful hosts and idyllic location. Had everything we needed for our stay. We would highly recommend and will come back for our next trip.

Well located in town and just off the Rail Trail. Bike friendly and even have a hot spa ready to go.
Nothing. Awesome place
Brooke was super friendly and hospital and I’d highly recommend staying
Great accommodation
It was a very pleasant place to stay while we were travelling, and very tastefully decorated. The owners were friendly and helpful.
The only disadvantage was the lack of any way of heating food. Given that there very few options for eating out in town it would have been good to have a microwave or something similar so we could prepare our own food. I hadn't noted when booking what it said about this but was surprised to find there was nothing available.
The location was lovely, very private in a nice garden setting, overlooking farmland and distant hills. Nice bathroom, very comfortable bed, and all very clean.
No kitchenette, ie) no small cooktop or sink, (my fault for not checking properly prior to booking). Could have BBQ'd but no gas bottle and host was not available to ask.
We booked both rooms. The rooms are okay and clean. Felt a bit aged and hadn’t been used for a while. Instructions are minimal, and shampoo is missing in 1 room, the same room the 1 ceiling light was broken. I guess if you are tired after the bike trail for a stopover, you may not care that much, but not an ideal place to relax. We couldn’t really cook or BBQ here. The outdoor area showed in the picture was not readily available. Had to ask and the owner came back in a few hours to connect the gas. Borrowed us a pan and a pot, but there was no water/sink, chopping board and other utensils, so didn’t feel invited to use that area. Outdoor bath was of course covered. Washing machine was constantly in use by the owner. When we came, clothes were hanging in front of one of the room entrance. We literally stayed in someone’s backyard and also felt that way, not so welcoming. We asked if we could charge our EV and got refused. This is fine, but all the other accommodations we stayed had allowed to us to do that. So we felt more differences in hospitality. The owner didn’t try to assess how much power it may be used, just a straight no. Charging from a domestic plug is very slow and wont used much compared to what we paired over $400 for both rooms. All we wished was to save us an hour to reach Dunedin to recharge.
Great response rate, great small touches and local knowledge shared
Can hear other guests next door, but no biggy....very poor eating options in Ranfurly, but not responsibility of bnb providers
I loved the cosy nature of this property. The personal service and recommendations were much appreciated. A lovely friendly experience amongst a young country family and their gorgeous animals.
It was good to have breakfast included. Nice quiet area.
Nothing.
Nice and comfortable bed was a good choice to stay here and explore the area would deffinatley recommend to others would love to come back oneday .
Pleasant homely place to stay
Well located for the Otago Central Rail Trail. Was comfortable and well equipped and very clean. A most comfortable bed, very necessary after 100km of cycling.
Nothing to dislike
Beds were comfortable, big room which was good. Host was lovely and accomodating as we needed to borrow a couple of kitchen utensils.
Unfortunately there was lots of little flys, not ideal for bringing your own food as no kitchenette or sink, the walls between the units are so thin, you can hear everything.
Small family run property. Modern place. Owners came round for greeting
Great BnB, spacious and pretty room, lovely quiet farm location, great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this place.
Liked that I could bring my dogs
Lovely family run accommodation, room was very comfortable and great recommendation for dinner.
Nothing
Lovely rural relaxed setting. Hosts very friendly. Animal friendly...wonderful!
Quiet location short walk into town, welcoming farming hosts, private parking, good continental breakfast provided. Local reading material available, heater provided on cold night.
Nothing, last minute booking due to change in itinerary due to horrendous rain on West coast, happy with the decision I made.
We were quite confused arriving to the property. We were aware there was no check-in, but there were no signs or guidance on which room to take. There were two open rooms so we just picked the bigger one. 'Complimentary breakfast' was jars of old cereal and expired yoghurt. There were no mugs, cups, bowls or cutlery to eat even if we wanted to so we didn't even make a tea/coffee. The room was clean and cosy, which was good; however we will not be returning.
It was a comfy cottage in a rural setting. Breakfast of cereal and bread for toast was good.
There wasn't a kitchen sink in which to wash dishes or an inside table to eat at. A microwave would have been handy.
Great place to stay - every thing you need and a beautifully peaceful location
The owners get that not everyone wants to be in the spare room of a bed n breakfast. The whole place is full of thoughtful inclusions. It's very well presented. It really is quite flash.
Leaving. The weather gods were laughing as I rode off into the rain.
I loved the location and loved how nice the bed was as well
Nothing really. Just that sometimes the bathroom light went off randomly but that wasn’t a big concern
