The hotel is in a very nice location with great views. The rooms is very nice and clean, staff at the reception were very helpful and accommodating.

Tres bel hôtel, avec une très belle vue sur le fleuve. Piscines intérieure et extérieure, jardins. Literie confortable et chambre de taille correcte, sans plus au vu du prix. La cuisine aux deux restaurants est bonne.

Service voiturier très cher et parking très éloigné de l'entrée. Salle de bain minuscule et peu pratique. Service aux restaurants pas à la hauteur du standing du lieu. Petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet correct mais sans plus au vu du prix (50$ par personne avec taxes). Présence de chanteurs au bar de l'hôtel le soir, assez bruyant, et que l'on entend depuis les chambres.

This place is truly heavenly! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the location was absolutely breathtaking, overlooking the beautiful St. Lawrence River. The views alone made the stay feel special. There was so much for the whole family to enjoy. The activities were amazing, and the kids especially loved the video game room. The tennis courts and pool were also great, giving everyone plenty to do without even needing to leave the resort. My only concern is the value for the price. Given the cost of the rooms, I feel that some complimentary meals or meal credits should be included, especially for families staying at the resort. That would make the overall experience feel much more worthwhile. Overall, it was a wonderful family getaway with beautiful scenery, excellent activities, and a fantastic location. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider coming back.

Les chambres sont spacieuses et très confortables. Il y a un sentier pour aller marcher en forêt qui est super afin de pouvoir profiter de l’extérieur. L’hôtel est bien situé à proximité de tout.

La vue sur le fleuve est superbe. Les piscines intérieures et extérieures sont bien adaptées pour la famille.

L’emplacement, le personnel du restaurant du bas et de la piscine ainsi que le spa chauffée dehors.

Hôtel qui fait vétuste, moquette vraiment tachée dans les communs, chambre vraiment vieillissante et literie trop petite dans les chambres familiales deluxe. Dans la salle de bain, baignoire presque bouchée et wc bouchée à 2 reprises. Bref, sur 15 jours de voyage au Canada, c’était l’hôtel le moins bien et le plus cher…

Beaucoup d’attente: pour le Check in, le Check out, au resto malgré des réservations. La chambre n’a pas été refaite au cours du séjour de 2 nuits; de même des verres et assiettes traînaient dans les couloirs et n’ont pas été ramassés - ce qui n’est pas le niveau de service attendu du pour ce type d’établissement.

Le rapport qualité/prix n’est pas correcte. Les prix de la nuitée sont excessifs compte tenu de l’état général de l’hôtel qui complètement vieillissant.

Les équipements sportifs et d’accueil

Les chambres vue sur le fleuve ne justifient pas un tel prix surtout celle avec les deux lits qui n’a même pas été nettoyé durant 3 jours et qui a une petite fenêtre.

Très beau séjour

L’établissement savait en avance qu’on venait pour la fête de notre fille. Rien de spéciale, même pas un petit peignoir pour elle dans la chambre. Elle voyait les autres enfants en portait près de la piscine.

Le personnel vraiment sympathique et attentionné! L’emplacement, la vue, les sentiers et le complexe aquatique. Chambre très confortable.

Le Manoir Richelieu est devenu au fil du temps un gros « resort » touristique. La musique sur la terrasse dès tôt le matin (mauvaise en plus) en témoigne et n’a pas sa place dans un endroit aussi bucolique. Prendre son café tranquille en regardant l’horizon serait vraiment plus agréable. Et ça ne s’améliore pas pendant la journée. Les soirées avec « chansonniers » sont « quétaines » au possible - avec un son mauvais de surcroît (on se croirait dans une auberge de jeunesse). On s’attendrait à une ambiance cosy avec de la musique bien choisie (c’est pas les choix qui manquent avec les playlist disponibles partout). Vraiment dommage car l’ambiance est gâchée avec ces mauvais choix de musique en continue toute la journée (terrasses, bars, piscines, etc.).

Magnifique vue, le jardin est superbe, un paradis pour les enfants avec beaucoup d’infrastructures mises à disposition pour faciliter le séjour des parents.

L’établissement est globalement vieillissant et le service pas tout à fait celui d’un palace. Store cassé dans la chambre, service à table au restaurant chaotique, il faut courir après le serveur pour des verres d’eau, longue attente pour payer à la fin du repas, buffet petit déjeuner correct mais pas non plus incroyable pour le prix…

The grounds, scenery, pool and activities available was superb. Valet parking for assisted mobility was provided which was a surprise and much appreciated benefit.

We had reserved a queen room with a view however they had none available when we checked-in around 7pm after a long day travelling. The supervisor upgraded us to a deluxe king larger room with no view, and added breakfast to our stay in compensation which we thought it was fair but a little disappointing.

Nous avons commandé des bouteilles d'eau à la chambre car mon conjoint a une machine pour l'apnée du sommeil mais on ne les a jamais eu, commandé à la réception et par la suite rappel par téléphone mais jamais eu, suggestion : peut-être mettre 1 à 2 bouteilles d'eau déjà dans la chambre à l'arrivée.

Beautiful view of the St Lawrence River, good location to whale watching cruise, huge property, great pool facilities. Staff were all very nice. Beautiful golf course.

Beds were just doubles, wish they were Queens. Restaurants had decent options but wish there was more for kids. We did St Hubert a few nights but had to do takeout since the restaurant was inside the casino. Pricey spot but nice to splurge on a vacation.

Nous avons réservé une table dans le restaurant de l’hôtel vue sur le lac pour quatre personnes le jour de mon anniversaire et je dois dire que ce n’était pas une belle expérience ☹️ À notre arrivée ils voulait nous proposer une table dans un coin dans une salle style cantine sans vue sur le lac c’est seulement avec l’insistance de mon épouse que nous avons infin eu la table réservée !! Mais les problèmes venait juste de commencer car le service était une catastrophe 1h30 pour se faire servir la commande ☹️, des petites tranches de pain servies comme si nous donner des hosties consacrées et en plus il fallait les demander! Cerise sur le gâteau le responsable de salle pour s’excuser nous avait offert une geste sur la facture chose qu’il n’a pas fait. Il m’ont sûrement gâché l’anniversaire ☹️. Je dois aussi ajouter que la chambre réservée pour 4 personnes n’était pas équipée pour 4 personnes car il y avait seulement 2 peignoirs qui nous ont été livrés rapidement, mais sans les pantoufles! Nous avons donc appelé 2 fois mais les pantoufles sont arrivées 1h après, nous les avons trouvées dans la chambre à notre retour de la piscine ☹️ Pour un hôtel de ce niveau nous avons trouvé mieux et nous attendons mieux !!

La vue face au St-Laurent, les promenades autour du château, le personnel est très agréable, la grandeur de la chambre, le buffet de petit-déjeuner.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights. It's a beautiful and grand property - stunning would be an understatement - the hotel grounds are magnificent. We had a standard room on the 8th floor in a corner, comfortable bed, nice linens, windows you can open and good black out curtains. It was very quiet where we were and we enjoyed the quiet and privacy very much. Upon check-in it was very busy at the front desk and they should have opened more counters to get guests through the process faster. They only had 2 desks open and very long lines of people waiting to check in, in this respect I think there is room for improvement. Valet service at the hotel is excellent and highly recommended as it can be tricky to find parking around the property. The hotel gym is top notched with modern equipment and facilities - you can access 24-hours. The onsite restaurants are great, Saint Laurent in particular was outstanding in both food and service - it's a beautiful restaurant that overlooks the St. Lawrence river, beautiful decor and ambience. The buffet breakfast is well worth it - we took the package that included breakfast and valet parking and were very happy that we did. The hotel pool gets very crowded and if I had one criticism of the hotel it would be this area. They do not have enough attendants working at the pool, picking up garbage outside, towels left behind or just keeping the chairs nicely put back. The pool area was not attended to at all, I did not see anyone working out there in the afternoon around 4pm. And, there were no towels available. Apparently there is a whole room full of towels but they were not staying on top of putting out towels for guests to use. This is the one area that needs significant improvement in general. In summary, I would highly recommend this hotel. While it is very busy in the summer with families and children, there are a lot of options for activities, dining and just a beautiful and historic hotel that is the very best of Charlevoix.

La vue de notre chambre et les services du personnel

Il y a eu un mariage qui a duré 5 jours. Donc pour cet événement le devant de l'hôtel est devenu un chantier de construction. Toute la partie face au fleuve a été utilisée. Scène pour la musique, piste de danse, plusieurs stations et kiosques entourés de nombreuses tables et chaises. Beaucoup de camions pour les livraisons. Le premier soir nous avons attendu 1:40 heures pour recevoir nos plats au restaurant de l'hôtel. La région de Charlevoix reste un endroit à découvrir et possède de belles petites auberges.

Despite its stunning location and outstanding reputation, this hotel unfortunately no longer lives up to the standards expected of a five-star property. From the moment we arrived, the service was disappointing. No one acknowledged us as we pulled up by car, and we had to unload and carry our own luggage. While the rooms were clean, they felt dated and would certainly benefit from refurbishment. Upon entering our room, one of the beds had not been made, and there were not enough towels or bathrobes for all the guests staying in the room. These are issues that might be understandable in a lower-category hotel, but they are simply unacceptable in a five-star establishment. Overall, the hotel did not meet the high expectations created by its reputation. The beautiful setting alone is not enough to make up for the lack of attention to detail and the level of service provided

Nada. Es un sitio perfecto para descubrir la zona de La Malbaix o simplemente descansar y disfrutar haciendo deporte, senderismo y comer bien con unas vistas alucinantes. El mobiliario y decoración es clásica pero todo es funcional y está muy limpio

Chambre avec des lits doubles, on ne retrouve plus de cette grandeur de lits de nos jours. La chambre était ordinaire, on s’attendait à beaucoup plus de l’hôtel de cette catégorie.

Shower rooms are very outdated.

By far the worst Fairmont I’ve ever stayed at. For context; I am an AllAccor Platinum member (now diamond) and typically choose to stay at Fairmont’s due to their historic properties and fantastic service. We arrived somewhere around 5pm and was told our room was not ready and no upgrades were available. 10 minutes later the room was ready but smelled of cigarette smoke. I let the front desk know and they scheduled a turn down service and the room was sprayed with something to mask the odour. That same night we went to the bar to order a drink waited 30 minutes and we were not attended to. We left the bar and ordered champagne and snacks through room service. 45-50 minutes later the room service arrived with half of our order and we were charged for the full thing. I attempted to call them back but there was no answer. The next morning we attended the breakfast service and got terrible reception. We were not told about menus or anything. Just given orange juice and coffee that tasted watered down and lacking its original flavour. The food was awful and the presentation was worse. The sheets and bedding provided were not fairmont branded. Were itchy, uncomfortable and, hard. My back ached after a night. We left two days early and extended our reservation at another property. I couldn’t wait to leave. I’ve stayed at Super 8 motels and Holiday Inn’s with cleaner rooms, better beds, and most importantly better service. We will never come back.

It’s well situated for all kinds of activities in the region. Nice swimming pools.

Overpriced restaurants, dated rooms, bad service like at a train station or airport after losing your flight. It’s Loto-Quebec owned and people behave like government employees of the worst kind. Parking is abysmally far from entrance. Avoid this place and it’s restaurants. You can eat at Chez Truchon or 3 Canards and sleep somewhere else in Malbaie.

The location is fabulous. The historic nature of the building, rooms where well appointed and clean.

Restaurant staff were not always at the level expected. Waited over an hour for a margarita and it was not well made. My vehicle was stretched in a hotel parking lot that is shared with a casino. The scratch was only discovered when I returned home.

Outside entertainment. Casino close. Views are beautiful. Trails.

Long walk to rooms. Gardens are needing some upkeep.

Certaines parties communes mériteraient d’être rafraîchies, chambre vieillissante et climatisation bruyante, le spa intérieur ne fonctionnait pas et n’était pas de qualité. Il y a énormément de monde et de passage et cela nuit à la tranquillité attendue.

Beaucoup d’activités à faire sur place en famille pour s’occuper pendant le séjour .

This hotel had so much potential since its beautiful and well located, but there are numerous problems. It is understaffed and while some staff are very friendly, others are curt and unhelpful. Service is slow and there are long waits. Food availability is a big problem. Too much red meat, veal and lamb, not enough chicken and fish options. It would be helpful to have a less formal restaurant. Breakfast menu does not allow you to order à la carte, so we had to pay $28 for scrambled eggs and toast. Breakfast cafe in the basement ran out of items very early in the morning, and did not offer any healthy choices like hard boiled eggs or yogurt. One person was working, including having to make the coffee, so the lines were slow and long. Check out was very slow. Long lines, and long wait to have the valet retrieve our luggage. In short, this does not present as a high end resort except in appearance.

Great hotel, excellent facilities including pool, spa and casino. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in 7 hotels over two weeks travelling across Canada and this was our favourite.

We are in a full on road trip with a limited budget and this stop was an anticipated stay having been to several Fairmont Hotels around the world. But this after a long several hour drive really disappointed us. First off the two double room booked and confirmed were not available the position was at the far back corner. Second we went to the pool as this is why we chose this hotel only to find it packed and no place to sit. Again after the weather this was to be expected if a little disappointing. Again we can understand this but then the service at the outside bar was as slow as a Tortoise and again inside we wanted to relax in this Hotel on a very intense road trip only to be hit by what feels like a very locally orientated Staff team. Then came the real shocker we had a table booked in the restaurant for evening dinner and my partner wanted the lamb she was asked by the waitress how she would like that cooked my partner said she would like it well done and was told that would not be acceptable and that she would not be served it? First why ask and second what kind of service is that. As there was nothing else that she wanted she was left without any food. I have been in some awkward situations before but never denied food. As she was obviously upset she left and went to the bar only to be chased out by an angry bartender saying that she had not signed for her drink. She had and showed him the tab no apology? This left my wife in tears so I wanted to speak to the Hotel manager who said she was sorry for her staff and that she would speak to them. She asked if she could do anything but I said I was that upset that I would appreciate the night to reflect and would hopefully see her at checkout. Checkout came and the only interaction we received was to be told that after checking we had booked twins not doubles and no mention of the restaurant abuse or the bar abuse. Super disappointed with the whole experience but having spent a short time there I sort of understand it's a casino stop off with the majority of residents eating their own food and drinking their own drinks at the outside tables after gambling so I guess the staff are not used to normal hotel guests 🤷. Please book with this in mind

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the hotel. It is a lovely property with great facilities/options for how to spend your time. We had a lovely room with good service. The staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the one evening we dined at the St Laurent. The views from the hotel are spectacular. We very much enjoyed our relaxing stay - thank you.

O hotel reúne história, charme, conforto e uma localização excepcional. The different activities provided for the kids during spring break were great! The outdoor and indoor pools were their favourite. The ice rink, thought not well kept, was also their go-to spot.

3 staff members we encountered were not helpful at all. It was our first time at the Manoir, so we didn't know where things were. When I asked at the reception where the ice rink was, she told me "Go outside and turn left. Better yet, ask the doorman, he will know!" But when I asked the doorman, he said "Turn right". After telling him what the receptionist said, he added "Oh! well turn left then". Dude! Do you realize how hot and frustrated I am right now going around the hotel with my snow suit and carrying skating equipment for 3 people? I ended up calling my sister who knew better and gave me the right directions! We signed up for ice fishing. When we got to the sign up place, this is when the lady told us that it's actually 15mins away by car and if we leave now, we'll be too late. Well, isn't that something that I'd have liked to know beforehand? We had to cancel that activity. For tubing, you would take your donuts and slide on a piece of wooden board for less than a second. I thought that was a miserable way of tubing, but the kids managed to do it more than a couple of times. The game room was lacking. After 10mins there, you're done. I wish they would add more arcade games. The people who have been there before said services have now deteriorated.
