Ideal location close to town. Lovely rooms. Easy check in and check out. Rooms had everything we needed and the beds were super comfortable.
Convenient to the town
Pleasant stay. Close to local bars and restaurants. Enjoyed visiting the Megalithic Cemetery in Carromore, definitely worth a trip.
The room (423)was extremely hot. Had to use 2 fans throughout our stay.
Location and cleanliness
Staff not very friendly
Der Empfang die Damen waren unangebracht überheblich !
very well run hotel. great food , great service
Characterful and an interesting place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was great!
It was a bit dated but fine for the price.
The room was very spacious.
On arrival we had dinner which wasnt hot enough the meal was replacement. Breakfast was very good.
dinner finished at 8pm, i checked in a 8.10pm.
Just an ideal hotel to stay in and conveniently located for both shopping and travel
No complaints
All of my stay was a pleasure
The only thing I didn’t like was one of the staff behind the bar obviously wasn’t well she was coughing, sniffing and sneezing everywhere, not washing her hands and couldn’t understand a word she said 🥴
Location was perfect. The staff team, reception area, room cleaners, were all exceptional.

Sehr laute Klima direkt vorm Fenster,
Don't really care
Beautiful, well with maintained hotel room with lots of space.

Nice room. Very comfy bed.

Great location, big room , very clean and best of all hilarious, friendly and very helpful staff
Nothing
Fantastic decoration, comfortable rooms, great bathroom
Noise of lift
Proximity to sites and shopping
All good
Location and quality of fay
Good facilities
Toiletries in short supply.
Beautiful large room, very comfortable for our little family. Excellent leisure facilities! We loved the pool and sauna. Also in a fab location right by town.
Nothing, there was no cot available for our baby but this was not a problem for us
The hotel was great value for our work trip. Rooms we're spacious and comfortable. Staff were lovely. Dinner was very nice and the dining and bar area were lovely to relax in for the evening. Great location, easy to get to and a short drive from Strandhill where we were visiting.
Locatie, parking, ruime kamer.
Nice room
Low power in shower with iffy control
Very handy location. Very friendly staff Excellent room facilities.
Great location, super friendly staff.
V good
Our bedroom was much larger than we expected, both the room and bathroom were immaculate. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast buffet had a great selection and the food was really good quality. We would definitely return if we were ever in Sligo again.
Breakfast was excellent
Noticed some maintenance needed in the pool area and the breakfast room.
Great location and comfortable room.
Large room with good sized bed for two people. Near to eating and shopping places. We really only used it for over night stay between coastal drives.
We were in the back room near the rail line - not too noisy but they were hot and a bit stuffy. Also the doona was way to hot a light weight rug or sheet was all that was needed. Quite a few stairs to navigate at entrance and then to our back room. Google maps took us quite some way up the road until we worked out where we should be.
Alles in Ordnung
Everything.. Stayed here a few times now. I would highly recommend.
Nothing
Bar staff friendly and the young lady had an exceptional knowledge of local whiskies.
Bedroom was far too hot with only a small fan and no air conditioning.
Great location to walk in to town, large well presented rooms
Nothing
What a lovely hotel to stay at. We were very happy with our room. Staff were all amazing. Reception were happy to print a couple of sheets of paper for me. Reception lent me an umbrella when it was raining.
Sometimes a bit of a wait to be able to eat at the restaurant. Not a problem if a table is booked.
Location right next to train station and on the bus route.
Not really young person vibe. I was staying with my mom and she really enjoyed it.
Food was great
Carpet in bedroom
Clean Location good. Reception staff pleasant; unlike the duty manager we encountered.
This was one of the worst hotel stays I’ve had, and definitely the worst mattress I’ve ever slept on. 1. The room was noisy all the time. Thin walls meant hearing everything from other rooms—showers, doors closing, and people talking. Our room door rattled constantly day and night, and the loud bathroom light/fan disturbed us during the night. 2. The room was stifling despite mild weather. There was no air conditioning, and the window barely opened. A huge, heavy curtain was impossible to pull aside properly, blocking most of the window even with a tieback. 3. The mattress was hard, uncomfortable, and the absolute worst part of the stay. It had no padding, so I could feel the springs. Upon checking the label, it was a cheap Respa open-coil mattress and kept me awake alongside the heat and noise, failing the basic standards of a 4-star hotel. 4. A loud, drill-like drone started around 4:30 AM and lasted for hours. Other reviews confirm this is a known, unresolved issue with the hotel's heat or water pumps. 5. Hostile Management Interaction; when complaining to the duty manager, the interaction was unpleasant and borderline hostile. Instead of politely explaining the discount policy, she was officious and argumentative. She claimed we couldn't hear the pumps because of our room location and berated us several times for not complaining earlier in the day. I was merely requesting a discount for legitimate complaints, not looking to be cross-examined.
Very regal. Good location and big bed.
Hot and no air con, trains very loud , very early. No good.
No sleep for one night, 240 euro and complete disregard for people staying here. Do not stay here if you want to enjoy sligo and get any sleep at a reasonable time before 1am. Disappointed is an understatement
Easy to get to good location very clean a lovely old place had dinner here and the staff , their customer service was outstanding , each and everyone that served our meal , nothing was too much bother for them , excellent service Check in was easy staff nice and helpful
Viss
Problēmas bija ar nakts apgaismojumu gultas viena pusē.
The room was clean and well equipped. The swimming pool was excellent. The bar was also very nice.
The duvet on the bed was too heavy for the summer. A bed sheet would be appreciated also. No fridge in the room
Hotel well situated relative to the town centre, Parking was easy. The room clean and a great size of bathroom. Staff were ok.
The room was not very sound proof so people walking down the corridor disturbed you as they walked passed, floor boards, talking. Spa facilities a little tired, sauna and Steam room separate to the pool area, not to my preference.
I really enjoyed staying in this hotel. Its right beside the train station and very close to the city centre. The ambience in the hotel was second to none and my room was extremely comfortable. If I am in Sligo again I would definitely stay here.
The view from the room was Benbulbin, which we visited during our stay.
Satisfied with the overall experience.
Friendly staff, good location
You could hear everything during nights and mornings.
The bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was good
The dinner wasn't great and the wifi was terrible,
We really enjoyed our recent overnighter at the Great Southern hotel in Sligo. The room was spacious and immaculately clean with comfortable beds. Service was excellent and staff were very efficient and friendly. Food was good. Breakfast was delicious and most of all it is in a great location. I would highly recommend it!
