The Address Sligo

Great location, new renovated rooms so everything was very clean and new. The breakfast was a great spread and the spa was beautifully done.

The only thing I can think of is that the bed was comfortable. If only we could have slept!!

A very disappointing experience. First of all, on arrival we were told there were no spaces left in the car park even though we could clearly see there were at least 3 spaces. There was no parking at the front door when we tried to get our luggage dropped off. When we complained about this, we were then told there was a car parking space??. The noise levels throughout the night from revellers outside the hotel meant we got no sleep. Even though we were on level 4, the noise was unbearable!!. The breakfast was served in the bar which was quite dark. The coffee machine wasn't working. There was only one person working in the breakfast room so it wasn't easy for her dealing with all the issues. Overall the most disappointing hotel stay we have ever had. Will never stay here again and definitely would not recommend it to anyone either. Very expensive stay for such a miserable experience!!!

The staff member in the bar/restaurant was the most unfriendly person I’ve met the food was very overpriced for what you received and my wife sent her food back because it was lukewarm the waiter never came near us to ask was everything ok and even when I paid he didn’t even apologise for the food been lukewarm

The hotel is in a great location in Sligo, and even though we were late arriving to the hotel, we were warmly greeted. The restaurant was soon to be closing but we were accommodated with a few choices for dinner for which we were very grateful. The room was very comfortable, spacious and very clean. We throughly enjoyed the breakfast, the overnight oat pots are worth a mention.

Hotel condition wasn't to a good standard apart from the lobby. The finishings in the lift, hallways and rooms are poorly maintained and need attention. Trays from breakfast left lying in corridor the following evening.

EVERYTHING! The staff were extremely helpful and kind. They went out of their way to assist me with my connections and transport. I am elderly woman traveling alone and had many questions about everything--beyond where to go to find specific things. I wish that I remembered all of their names! Jhoti and Rahul...I can see faces but names are really tricky at my age (two months shy of 80!) The breakfast was amazingly delicious, well balanced, and abundant!

Lovely location very central and so easy too locate

The hotel was very welcoming, staff were very friendly and accommodating especially the two bar staff who were great craic and sociable. The double bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in and perfectly sized as double bed instead of what looks more like a cot which has happened on few occasions in other destinations, the room was spacious with fab shower and all was very clean. The hotel location is absolutely perfect could not have been better situated, out front door, cross street and cut through quayside shopping centre took me straight into main shopping/bars thoroughfare. Also, lots of lovely cafes close by too for afternoon top up. I must also mention the Harp Tavern directly across from hotel at corner, food was exquisite and managed by a lovely lady who was very accommodating too. We parked at nearby hotel the glasshouse on our first day but booked into Address carpark for remainder of our stay. We were so pleased with the Address hotel that my husband booked an extra night. This never usually happens unless it's a spiritual trip to Knock Shrine and he thinks an extra night might just do me good. Excellent stay and will be back as well as recommended to family and friends.

Guest parking is advertised, it was not stated that this had to be booked prior to arrival. I arrived and saw the carpark mostly empty and was told I could not enter as the spaces had to be pre booked. At no time was this mentioned previous to the stay or in any correspondence.

Overpriced crap room with broken shower. Not something you would expect for almost 300 quid per night.

The hotel is located in the centre of the town with lots of restaurants, bars and shops nearby.

I liked the room itself; and the design of the building’s architecture was beautiful!

I didn’t like certain members of staff; when I arrived on the first night; I was “welcomed” with a rather unpleasant experience at the entrance. Now yes; I arrived outside the regular checkin times and I hadn’t a booking reserved for that night in particular; I understand that there is little that can be done in regards to that; but that still does not excuse the attitude and manners; or lack there of; which I was subjected to; given that I had already paid for the following 2 nights. I’m not sure of the gentleman’s name; nor do I really care for that matter; but he was the ringmaster in the rotten experience I had; accompanied by another unhelpful young man. His tone of voice was harsh, he had a severe lack of manners, and all in all; I found him to be outrageously disrespectful; given that I was paying good money for my stay.

The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor and out into the main room so we had to stop using it. We told reception and they said we could use the shower in the gym. My partner tried the gym shower but the water was cold. We again told reception who said that the manager was away and that we would receive an email in a few days. Never received an email.

Exceptionally clean room with one large double bed and a single. Beautiful bedding sheets and pillows were of a high quality thread. We had the nicest sleep during our three night stay. The shower was perfect and the temperature of the water was brilliant. There was fresh water in our room which was replaced daily. On arrival, we were greeted with little token of Butler's chocolates one each, on our table which was a lovely gesture. The room had excellent television channels if that's important to you, a hairdryer and coffee and tea making facilities. The shower toiletries were of a good quality which we enjoyed. We left for dinner one evening and came back to freshly made beds and mopped floors, freshly laundered towels replaced, and fresh water and teabags. Top marks to the cleaning staff and thank you. Your work didn't go unnoticed. The Irish barman with the dark hair was a lovely chap, excellent cocktail making skills and the pineapple drift cocktail out of this world. We ate here twice during our 4 day trip. I ate the prawn linguine it was very nice. The chicken curry also was delicious. Regarding the spa, Oksana was absolutely amazing giving the pro Sculpt facial and back massage. The spa was a lovely relaxing experience, sauna and steam room with cold plunge was heaven. The whirlpool spa is located outside which was a lovely space to chill out. We rang in advance and booked our car parking space. This hotel is so central the location is quite literally perfect. Beautiful restaurants and shops surround the hotel. You don't need your car much at all unless you're doing excursions/beach. We walked most days!

Okay so there was a very very bad smell which lingered around the hotel lobby Opposite side to reception which was like a sewerage smell. On our first night dining in North, we sat to the very far left of restaurant and the smell was bad. It was like raw sewerage. This could have been coming from outside but doubtful. We didn't mention it as we literally were in and out of the lobby and didn't impact us much. The hotel walls are paper thin. Unfortunately there was a domestic 😕 one night and we had to call reception. Two girls were sent up to check it out but the couple stayed quiet once they were gone. Not the fault of the hotel. They were very good to call us back to reassure us everything was safe. Last but definitely not least the SPA, my facial was booked for 4pm Friday. Kept getting reminders via email, by 2.30pm I decided to check the exact duration of Pro sculpt facial, I rang reception the lady said she'd ring me back. I rang spa, only to get the answering machine. At 3.25pm after ringing reception for a long time and no answer, the lady rang me back to tell me Ciara had gone home sick and sorry there was no facial for me. I was very disappointed at the short notice but the lovely receptionist said I could have it at 11am after my massage with Oksana. Also as a goodwill gesture, we were given access to the thermal spa for the inconvenience. My issue is, I got an email later that evening to say I didn't turn up for my facial with Ciara! It may or may not have been automatic but I was displeased. After our lovely stay, Svetlana who was also very lovely and gave the second guest their massage asked where we to pay at hotel reception we said yes okay whatever works we are residents. That evening reception call to ask where we left hotel I said no sure we are residents staying, they said you had treatments that are due for payment and I said yes on departure (as is the case in 99.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is excellent. The staff were friendly.

The breakfast overall wasn't great. OJ and white bread were gone but not replenished during our time at breakfast. The cooked breakfast was not very nice and the fruit salad was just chopped apple.

The food in the restaurant was lovely. The location was great.

We stayed for three nights the room wasn’t serviced from arrival to departure meaning I had to request fresh towels (and wait on them for 30mins) we also had to leave the room the make tea or coffee. Straight after the first meal we were asked to review. There wasn’t enough room to park onsite and the spaces were exceptionally tight so we wouldn’t have been happy leaving our vehicle incase to got damaged.
