Beautiful room and hotel overall. Close to food and entertainment.

Very close to all places in the City. Many restaurants available nearby as well as within the hotel

The location is great

Everything was fine now

Freundliches Personal
Location
Have no complaints.
Very nice and good selection
Good location in Sligo town
Location is the only good thing about this hotel. Otherwise its a basic hotel at a premium premium

Housekeeping was excellent. Parking is very good (and free). Location is perfect.
No drinking water provided in room, even when the only drinking fountain for the entire 4th floor was out of order. Only cheap liquid soap provided.
Central
Tolle Lage, sehr freundliches Personal, Frühstücksbuffet sehr lecker. Parkhaus sehr praktisch.
The Bell Man insisted we move the car and we had luggage. He took it and left on the street unattended while we parked car. Unbelievable, then refused to help us with the luggage to our room as well. I have never experienced this in my 50 plus years of travel. Front desk was great.
We visited the Glasshouse for lunch and drinks. It’s an annual visit during our family trip to Ireland. It’s always an excellent experience with great food, service and drinks. We popped outside to see the swans too - lovely view by the river with tables if the sun shines..
Excellent room. Breakfast Excellent.

No mirror above dressing table…

Rooms
Location is excellent but the staff are really attentive and I would also recommend a riverside room. The restaurant and bar seem very popular although we only had a drink ourselves.
The breakfasts were fine but not exceptional.
The room and the food
Beautiful hotel and great location right in the heart of Sligo. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We stayed in a lovely room with a balcony. We had dinner in the cafe bar, the food was delicious and the service excellent. Looking forward to my next trip there!
Avoid this hotel: extremely poor handling of security and guests’ personal belongings My experience was nothing short of shocking. I left a pair of earrings in my room and, despite immediately reporting them missing and sending a photograph of the items, I have not received an adequate response or a convincing explanation. What concerns me most is that the earrings apparently were never found during the cleaning of the room. This raises serious concerns about how guests’ personal belongings are handled and, more generally, about the reliability of the hotel’s security procedures. Even more disappointing was the way my complaint was handled. Instead of receiving concrete and timely assistance, I had to repeatedly follow up just to get a response. For a hotel, it is unacceptable to handle a report concerning a guest’s personal belongings with such a lack of care and professionalism. I cannot personally say what happened to the earrings, but the fact that they disappeared from the room and were never subsequently located leaves me extremely concerned. Before staying at this property, I strongly recommend thinking carefully about the security of your personal belongings. As far as I am concerned, this experience has completely destroyed my trust in the hotel, and I would not choose to stay here again.
Très belle chambre, super petit déjeuner, très bien placé.
C’est un peu cher

Tolle Lage
Alles gut, aber Cappuccino beim Frühstück kostet extra!
Great central location, and with parking. Clean, comfortable, large room with a fabulous river view. Lovely, helpful staff throughout the hotel. Good breakfast, and I appreciate this being a served buffet, as I think buffets can be unhygienic and wasteful.
For a 4*, the hospitality tray was somewhat stingy. Only one packet of biscuits, and some herbal tea bags would be appreciated. My husband said the bacon was tasty but almost impossible to cut.
The location is great. The room was spacious and clean
Breakfast is rather disappointing. In addition, guests have to queue up with a tray, more like in a canteen than a hotel. This is not really the level of service I would expect from a four-star hotel. They also charge for cappuccio and espresso….
My wife and I is due to stay in you hotel on 17th September to celebrate our 48th wedding Anniversary I booked this hotel room on your websites a month ago. I was in Sligo town on a day buisness trip so I decided to pop in to reception to make sure I was confirm to stay for that date. I meet the reception manager her name was Vivien a very friendly and helpful lady a I explained to her my wife does not like lifts and I requested a ground floor if possible. Vivien without hesitation along with her colleague Emma re booked me into a ground floor with a balcony. I was very impressed as a retired business mam for the way both handle this. I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to Vivien and Emma We looked forward to staying in you hotel on the 17th September 26
Friendliness of staff was a highlight as was the comfiness of the bed.
The hotel was good but the free car park was terrible. It was dark and full of pigeons with the inevitable consequences. We worried about leaving our car there.
The hotel is very central right, and many of the rooms, bars, etc. have made the most of the river view. Our twin room was on the 5th floor so we also had a small balcony looking over the river which was a lovely bonus. Staff are very helpful and professional. There is a multi-level basement carpark also which is really handy. Beautiful buffet breakfast with plenty of choices Would definitely stay here again.
Nothing.
Probably our favorite hotel stay in Ireland. Big rooms, comfortable bed and a great central Sligo location.
Nothing to dislike.
Location was great; Hotel was clean and staff were professional and pleasant. Couldn’t fault anything about our stay! Tanya on reception and Roisin at breakfast.were particularly helpful and beyond polite We had a river view room with balcony and had a lovely stay Look forward to staying again
Fantastic location on the river . Big spacious room with a balcony . Very modern . Spotless . Staff we very willing to help
Nothing
Very nice and comfortable, with AC
Very friendly yet professional staff. The food was excellent and service was speedy. Hotel is perfectly located to enjoy views of the river, but a mere 50M into Sligo town. It was spotlessly clean and everything in the room worked - other hotels in the vicinity take note! The Glass House will definitely be my new go-to for my regular trips to Sligo. Thank you
Very minor gripe - the lifts are busy and very slow as a consequence. The only reason this was an issue was because I was travelling by motorcycle and carrying luggage wearing heavy bike gear, it made it a hot process. But thats a very niche problem!
The location was amazing and picturesque The hotel was tired and had so much potential Roisin, who served our breakfast was the saving grace...she was sweetest little thing and a jewel in a somewhat grubby tired crown ...she gave us a whole history of the beaches and nearby harbour. Asset to the hotel
On arrival unexpected car parking fees Checked into room after a five hour journey and went straight to the bathroom, as you do.... washing hands only to discover dirty towels Carpet in the room was old and brown. View was of back of office building rather than the spectacular river .... disappointing Breakfast was mediocre and restaurant floor under our table was filthy. I didn't eat either morning of our 2 day stay.
Staff were polite & very helpful Hotel in general was clean, well laid out, ideal location at only 5 minutes from bus/train station with a wonderful view over the river Room was spacious, great range of tv stations available and free snacks are always a bonus. Arrived quite late for dinner but everything was still available, with a very helpful waiting staff, and pasta was delicious Breakfast had an extensive choice of cooked and continental options, cereals and juices Late check out at 12 was ideal for holding my luggage , last minute refreshing, before heading home
Only slightly negative would be the noise. As with most hotels, the other guests closing doors at all hours was diistracting Also there was a frustirating buzz from the fuse box for most of the night I had an issue with the wifi too, with intermittent connection in the room, but maybe it was an issue from my devices
Lovely location and outdoor area
Its pricey
We stayed as the last stop of many on the Wild Atlantic Way in July 2026. Facilities, food and staff excellent. Also a good modern hotel in central Sligo town/City just right for a one night stay or week-end.
It was hard to find way into underground parking on a hot day mid afternoon. What did not help was some road works close to hotel so was hard to get back to missed left turn which the signage gave little notice . Also tight spaces and unknown parking area.
Just heading home after another great stay. Lovely staff, great room....special mention for the really good air con......and excellent food. Had such a relaxing few days.
Location
All goog
War alles in allem gut. Wenn man meckern wollte, würde man überall etwas finden. Ich würde dort nochmal hin.
Location excellent beside shops, pubs and restaurants. Staff very helpful and friendly. Hotel spotless. Parking underground - €6 for the night. Comfortable rooms mine was overlooking the river. Really good breakfast.
So central
Friendly staff great rooms

Delicious food and wonderful service! The view was exceptional ! This is a don’t miss!
My sisters and myself go to Sligo every year for a catchup. We went in July again the second time in 3 months. It was great and relaxing. Delicious food and cocktails. Very central to all shops.
Excellent location, lovely friendly and very accommodating staff. Nice lunch and to die for cocktails … a five star stay .. thank you
Staff were brilliant!
Signs in the lift from car park could be cleaned / replaced. It’s not the best first impression.
Central location
Lifts very slow
The outside terrace beside the river where you could have lunch. The design of the hotel was also very interesting, modern and unusual. The staff were extremely friendly and very good.
I thought it was rather expensive but I know it was peak season. We paid almost 300 euro for one night. Also there was no swimming pool.
Great location and views
Noisy in the corridor in the morning
Centrally located, overlooking the river, well appointed air conditioned rooms. Very helpful staff. Parking available on site for just 6 euros per night. Excellent breakfast served in a bright and spacious dining room. If you don’t mind pushing the boat out book a balcony room, great for a post dinner glass of wine.
Central location . Reception and bar staff very pleasant.
Knocking on door at 11 am (an hour pre check out) and staff barging into the room! Not very happy with this at all! Again at 2 mins to 12 another loud knock! We left the room approximately 2 mins past 12.. staff outside ready to pounce no apologies ..
What a cool hotel! it's too bad we had only 1 night in Sligo, as this hotel offered a lot. Our room was super comfy and had a balcony overlooking the river. The room was plenty large. Super clean and modern throughout the room and hotel. Breakfast was a buffet and very enjoyable. Great location for walking the historic area of Sligo. Staff was excellent. Thank you.
We had a great stay and would happily come back. The room was spacious and bright, with large windows and a balcony overlooking the river. We also appreciated having manual air conditioning, which made it easy to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The hotel has parking in the basement, and is just a short walk from picturesque Sligo, making it easy to explore the town on foot. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. A great choice if you’re visiting Sligo.
Great location; air con, as it was very warm weather; comfortable beds; and parking in the underground car park worked well, once I for used to it. Breakfasts were also very good.
The wi-if was almost unusable. The connection was very weak, and when connected the speed was very low - about 8-9 mbps download speed. I would have preferred a separate shower, not in the bath, for safety reasons. There was no fridge in the room. No de-caff coffee powder was provided in the room.
Food was poor in the resturant.
It’s highly efficient but still laidback very relaxing
It’s a bit tight here and there but still comfortable
Good location, large room with double aspect windows so a great view over Sligo and it has all the facilities you need. You can walk easily to shops and restaurants. There is in-house food which is good and the staff are friendly.
