Reviewed Sep 11, 2026We were able to check in early which we really appreciated. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was included in our price so we felt the standard of breakfast really good value. Comfortable bed, shower fine. Overall great value for money.
Air con was average, we stayed at subsequent hotels around the region with better air con. Gaming decor felt a bit random and like we were in a theme hotel not an ibis. Stale smell of smoke in carpeted communal areas. Not the hotel's fault, but worth mentioning for prospective travellers using public transport that it was a fairly steep walk from the bus station and train station. Other locations closer to the cathedral benefit from lifts up the hill.
