An old hotel that is needs updating. Overpriced. Thin walls - you could hear toilets flush, coughing, people taking in the halls, etc. No counter space by the bathroom sink. Shower head didn't fully operate.

Location

Noisy, outdated, vinyl peeling from walls in lobby and room. Doors slamming early morning shook whole room. Bathroom countertop was dirty. The price for the condition of the hotel was ridiculous.

The staff was friendly and helpful with our check-in - if you're comfortable with sarcasm - and the room was clean upon arrival. Plenty of food for breakfast and a good selection. Our intention was to be closer to the Oshawa GO so we could leave a little later to catch the train to Union Station for a day in the city.

Upon arrival we noticed the front entrance was undergoing renovations and there was no apparent accessibility for people with mobility issues. Although there was a room available, the attendant had to verify the room was in fact ready. The air conditioner was set to 60⁰ and ran all night, yet the room temperature never went any lower than 72⁰.

Breakfast was fine all along until the weekend. The room was great and the bed was good.

As previously stated breakfast was fine until the weekend and then it started too late in the morning for us. Now that being said, on our follow up stay at nearer to the end of the month breakfast start times for weekends started earlier and it was perfect!!

Didn’t like the sink outside the bathroom. Bathroom too small.

Das Personal an der Rezeption und beim Frühstücksbuffett war sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffett war gut und es gab genügend Auswahl. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Betten sind bequem gewesen. Die Lage ist gut und ruhig. Es war ein angenehmer Aufenthalt.

Water leaked from a/c unit made carpet wet and staff knew about it. Couldn’t be compensated by the hotel due to the room being booked by a third party website. Noise from pipes every 10 seconds banging throughout the night making it hard to sleep.

It was close to where we needed to go for our baseball games

Breakfast, muffins were frozen, out of a few things Kids and adults were very loud after 11pm

Chambre tranquille, mais aucune boîte de Kleenex, salle de bain très petite, le lavabo n'est pas avec la toilette et la douche. Manque de choix au petit déjeuner. Pour le prix 178$ c'est honnête mais ça vaut pas plus. Personnel courtois.

Easy access to highway

Layout was confusing. Didn’t get clear instructions on which door was closest to the room. Was told to “drive around back” and found four doors around back then found the door closest was actually at the front.

Great staff, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping and breakfast team are fabulous!! Check in was easy and quick and professional. Thoroughly enjoy staying here.

This motel was overbooked and my room got moved to an adjacent motel next door. Ended up with the type of room I requested online in the cancelation message best western motel emailed 📧 me just before I arrived to get into my reservation.

Frühstück war ganz okay für Nordamerika. Bett bequem. Die Lage am Highway für uns sehr gut , da wir auf Durchreise von Toronto nach Montreal nur 10 Stunden dort waren ( am späten Abend check in, dann frühstücken und weiter).

Als einzigen Großen Minus muss man jedoch erwähnen, dass das Hotel sich wirklich sehr viel Zeit lässt um die geblockte Kaution auf der Kreditkarte wieder freizugeben, alle anderen Hotels sogar das letzte, sowie der Mietwagenanbieter, haben es zügig getan nach 2, 3 Werktagen, und dort dauert es schon fast 5 Wochen ( Normalerweise dauert es höchstens 2 Wochen)

The shower didn’t work very well (no pressure and very little water from the shower head) and the heate r was very loud.

The staff were always cleaning which is nice, the breakfast options were amazing and super plentiful. The location is right by the highway and go station which is nice for travelling

Pillows were WAYYY to soft almost like trying to sleep on air, bed was super firm.

Service was great, staff good, excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms.

Had some issues with the heater in the room.

Location was good. Unfortunately room was not very clean. Chairs were stained and I had to take pillows from the bed to sit on chairs. Pillows were very soft and not comfortable for sleeping. Any repairs to room were poorly done. Bathroom had tufts of hair on shower wall and by toilet. While price was definitely a factor in booking a clean a clean room was expected.

A pleasant woman named Mickey was in charge of the breakfast room and was very friendly and helpful.

The clock radio in my room did not work and the exercise room was very cold. I would have had to wear heavy clothes to exercise in it.

Très propre, plus que la plupart des hôtels. Le petit déjeuner était gratuit, en plus d’avoir été très complet. Cela a comblé ma journée.

Les tapis dans la chambre, c’est toujours moins sanitaire qu’un plancher. C’est un peu bruyant considérant que l’autoroute est littéralement juste à côté, mais avec des bouchons à oreilles, on peut bien dormir (reste aussi que l’accès à l’hôtel est très efficace et rapide en sortant de l’autoroute).

There were many things wrong. The staff at the counter at check in was very difficult to understand and was very judgmental. The key cards only worked after 5-6 tries. The bathroom was filthy and the tub had been painted and had paint peeling off. The ice machine was broken. The beds were quite hard. All in all not a good experience

The staff were very friendly and customer focused. Our room was very welcoming and comfortable. Hotel in general was very quiet, which I love.

My only complaint. I don’t like having credit cards. I truly believe that if I don’t have the money to buy something, then I go without. So when I was told that I would need one for incidentals, I was disappointed. They made an exception and allowed me to put a deposit on my debit card, which is what I’ve always done in this situation. I was left to feel like I was sort of lesser than for not having one. I’m a good person and I understand the rules but I think it should be noted that not everyone wants a credit card. The staff is fantastic, don’t get me wrong, I was just slightly disappointed in how I felt after the interaction about the card.

très bel hôtel, très propre avec un très bon petit déjeuner et accueil très sympathique.

le chauffage très bruyant ainsi que l'emplacement pour visiter oshawa c'est plutôt mal situé, par contre comme pour nous s'il s'agit d'une étape le fait qu'il soit sur la trajectoire de l'autoroute était parfait.

Actually, only the location the staff was not very helpful. The room was not ready towels room missing accessories were missing and the mattress was lumpy like a golf course.

Wasn’t expecting such an approach after 45 years of trap and living in hotels

The bedding was not changed, it smelled too bad, and it was hard to sleep. The bathroom had mould, and the bathtub was not clean. You can see the black stain. Paid too much to see the stain. Never again.

The place needs fixing up, the room smells like smoke, and the beds need to be changed. The bathroom needs much work around the bathtub and the door. It smells worse than a run-down motel

Cleanliness of the food areas was exceptionally clean, staff were prompt in tending to any mess that needed cleaning up so the next guest experienced a clean eating area.

The staff, the cleanliness, and the convenience of the location being so close to the GO train, are among all the many reasons we return every year!

Only got 2 towels for 2 adults, there was no magnifying mirror and our room was right beside the kitchen which was a little loud till 2am then kitchen opens at 7am. Don't get this room and all will be great.

The staff at breakfast was very kind

. The menu was very limited. Cereals and sausages and bread and a few others stuff. The building looked really old and the wall had air pockets on the roof when walking the ground floor and my room. The environment was clean but I was expecting a more upgraded and classy interior for that price point. The space is in serious need of a renovation. Not just wallpapers patching up possible leaks or crack.
