We just got coffee and a danish from the Starbucks. It was good as usual.

No microwave and the refrigerator was very small. Everything else was good

Room was spacious, and the staff was very friendly especially Marley who checked us in.

Didn't seem to be sufficient parking.

Proximity to the beach and shopping are with great restaurants .

No free breakfast and the in property Starbucks was unable to serve food the morning we wanted breakfast from them.( First Starbucks that I have visited that disappointed)

Customer service could have been better.

This is an update to my 5 star review from last year. Though the hotel is clean and kept up there are differences in service. Specifically they now charge $10 for parking, which we did not have to pay last time. Also they used to run a little breakfast bar in the lobby where you could pay to order some kind of breakfast sandwich or cereal. No more. The only thing on order is Starbucks coffee and a selection of about 4 pastries: a croissant, muffins, a piece of pound cake.

Almost no staff, one person checking in. No one at desk several times. No one answers phone when calling from room. No coffee in room, no water. No housekeeping. Pool was cloudy and full of kids at 7:30 pm. Girl at outside bar was not friendly, didn't say a word. Weird. Paid for breakfast ahead of time, didn't use and was told we would be refunded after check out, nope, didn't happen. I would NEVER stay here again! Beware.

Staff never smiled. Not friendly at all. AC gave us issues during our stay. Had to request to be moved. We have always stayed here but for the price it's not worth it when you can stay in nice resort for less.

Had a lovely weekend stay here in May 2026 for my niece's graduation weekend from the Hilton Head Prep School which is close by. Property was super quiet and very clean throughout. Slept so well on the fourth floor in the comfortable bedding. Room included a nice little refrigerator, coffee, and tea. Parking at the hotel was plentiful and safe. They charged $10/day for it. Used their wonderful fitness center open 24/7 and fun rootop bar + pool. Enjoyed the fantastic location near Coligny Plaza Shopping and just a block or two from the glorious beach. Everything you might need is conveniently nearby including grocery store, fantastic dining, live community theatre, and unique Hilton Head shopping. Most of all I want to shout out their management for wonderful customer service. I realized that I had left behind a very special sport coat in the closet of my hotel room a few hours after checking out. Housekeeping had found it and packaged it up for me. It was sent back to me quickly via a UPS shipping label that I emailed them the next day. I appreciate them following up on this so efficiently. Their kindness and helpfulness meant a lot to me. Recommend this property highly.

The bathroom baseboard trim had mold.

Never stayed at a hotel that didn’t offer free coffee in the lobby. They charge you for it as well to park (10 dollars a day) One of the elevators was broken while we were here. The roof top bar that is advertised is not open. Neither phone in my room works. Not impressed with my “suite”. I guess the proximity to cologne beach is the only saving grace.

The manager , Carolyn and the front desk. Clerk who was bilingual were very helpful. They showed us how to connect to WiFi and greeted us each time we entered the property. This is our 2nd trip driving from Michigan to enjoy this hotel.

Rooms are small with no microwave in room. No free breakfast, they advertise a free breakfast if you pay $ 15 per person additional when making reservation so actually not free, You cannot attach a firestick or roku to watch your streaming apps, streaming your available apps at most Marriott properties are available but not this one. Time of check is inconsistent changing times, requiring you to continually check to see if your room is ready. When you check in your lucky if you can find any cart to move your items to your room, most carts are very small, my entire time I saw one high cart most are a little larger than a shopping cart. If I would have known this before I would have stayed at a red roof inn. I stay at Marriott property often and most have much better amenities, this one's a loser.

Staff was rude and not friendly when asking for things. Also heard other guests complaining about the same things.

If you don’t want any frills, it is a nice place to stay and a good location.

I don’t like a property that does not service your room when you’re gone all day. I saw the staff in the hallway and said I was hoping our room was next since we had no toilet paper or clean towels. They didn’t seem to understand me and never cleaned the room, took away the dirty coffee cups, or left new coffee and creamer, so I had to get towels from the cart and a roll of toilet paper.

I had made my reservation through a 3rd party and paid for my room up front but upon checking out the hotel charged me again. I had to call the hotel to get a refund. This is the 2nd time a Marriott hotel has over charged me. I will not likely stay at a Marriott again in the future.

The fact that there is no complementary breakfast and you have to pay for parking that's obserd. The location was Hilton Head Island. For as much as the room cost a night you would think these things would be included.

Location was the reason we picked this hotel.

No complimentary breakfast. Not even coffee, except for the single cup available in the room. Speaking of the room, I understand not replacing towels daily, but making the bed and emptying trash should be done. Also, the fridge did not work and there was no microwave.

Quick trip for a wedding. Standard Courtyard. 3 stars down the middle. Service of the staff was below average but the rooftop bar and hang out area made up for the lack of customer service. Hotel is newer. Room and amenities were nice! Room service is every other day. Got the job done. Newer hotel. Nothing special. Gets the job done.

The distance to the beach was fair. We did like the park that was close by. the weather was great! We also found a few good restaurants that were close by.

The room was freezing and we couldn't regulate the ac. The fact that we had to pay to park was a shock.. We came for a getaway for our 50th anniversary and when I mentioned that to the staff they were not even interested. All the staff seemed to have an attitude.

Sunday, same story, though a much sweeter lobby attendant offered free tall coffees (as if she knew we needed a little mercy). Still no buffet, but a few à la carte items available. 🛏 Pillow & Mattress Situation: Now, this part hurt — literally. The pillows were softer than clouds but thinner than tissue paper. I stacked three together and still felt like I was resting on lumpy pancakes. The mattress itself felt like it was auditioning for “The Princess and the Pea” — firm, springy, and definitely not fit for beauty sleep. As a major hotel brand, Marriott should specialize in rest — comfy beds, plush pillows, and strong morning coffee should be their holy trinity! 🔥 Rooftop & Ambiance: The rooftop bar was wonderful with great live music — a real highlight. But the fire tables were out of order both nights, and it was chilly. Had those been lit, it would’ve been the perfect vibe for guests to linger longer. ✨ Overall: Clean hotel, cheerful staff (mostly), great location, and fun rooftop scene. Our stay at Courtyard Marriott Hilton Head was pleasant. The rooms were ok but out dated but clean need to update coffee makers terrible and cheap. I looked at the reviews before I booked and they were very mixed ! We picked this hotel for the location and got a great deal . I would not pay summer prices I would be very disappointed!!!

The rooms were fairly clean until I saw a roach one day. We asked for additional towels at around 9am and did not get them until later on that evening after calling and calling down to the front desk. I ended up having to go down there and the front desk clerk was nowhere to be found until another customer knocked on their office door which was behind the desk. It is located in a convenient area

We liked that it was within walking distance of restuarants. Didn't like the check-in process. I am a Marriott Bonvoy member which allows me to check in early. Tried to check in at 3 but was told I couldn't and had to wait until 4. Between 3:15 and 3:45, 3 other guests came in and were allowed to check in

Great location, very clean, and comfortable rooms.

Staff need more customer service training. The morning staff at food bar was too busy on her phone and was not able to recommend other places to eat and did not try to accommodate (restaurants all around hotel). When checking out there were 3 guests at the desk waiting for a staff member to assist. We were waiting for her to finish her cigarette at the front entrance of the hotel. Absolutely could not believe what I was observing.

My electric to my. Room412 was terrible went out 5 times. Kept having to go to front desk or call to have them set the breaker. Also 10 dollars a day for a guest at the hotel who paid 850 dollars for a room 4nights plus just got me so mad

I never stayed at the now Courtyard by Mariott because it changed name in 2024 and I had always stayed at Courtyard by Marriot unbeknown to me the name had changes so I never stayed at Marriot but got to pay $300.00 a night at the Hilton I called the Marriot but told me very rudely it had never changed names ( we found article on internet that it did) so I feel I should be compensated for Marriot charges as I never stayed there I know this whole thing will be swept under rug but to me my vacation was not off to a good start. Thanks

Not the property, it was great. just wish we would have known they charge $210 for parking.

Decent hotel but nothing special, gets the job done. Modern amenities with property in okay shape. Note they charge $10 per day for parking (which was not clearly stated upfront and only in the fine print, and came as a surprise add-on charge).

First time in Hilton Head, and the Mariott made it even more enjoyable.

We stay here frequently. There were charges we did not expect such as 30 dollars to park. This hotel also says they have breakfast in the lobby which they do; however there are limited options which are quite expensive including coffee. It seems they could at least offer complimentary coffe like most hotels do.

The roof top bar was closed because the bar tender did not show up. The kitchen was closed the next morning because the equipment was broken. No drinks, no food, no good!
