Needs a few minor modern conveniences, but very nice.
The building, rooms and staff are excellent
There is a noise from the street, but it is no so Loud
Hotel was nice and the location.
February 22, 2026.
The entire interior of the hotel exceeded our expectations. The overall “mansion” ambiance was very appealing and lovely. So much detail. It was clean and comfortable. Dress in layers for Patzcuaro itself and the hotel is no exception. Our room (we chose a standard room with a king bed and small balcony) was perfect. We stayed two nights. The bed was comfortable the shower with lots of hot running water was delightful. The hotel offers fresh drinking water, coffee and shampoo, soap, lotions and a blow dryer. The towels are full and soft. Definitely recommend this place. The only caveat is the bar and restaurant are expensive. The staff; helpful and friendly and go the extra to be accommodating.
The bar/restaurant are overpriced
Nice historical place
Bathroom could use some remodel
location , the place was pretty good and the price
NA
The property is right in the plaza . The room is pretty big and spacious 2 big beds and a small bed for a si for person ,a balcony for a morning view of the plaza. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Our second time staying here. The beautiful art from the entrance to the hallways and room is amazing! Good for pictures!
Everything was perfect.
Lovely historic building with spacious rooms and spaces. On the square, but quiet. Fabulous place to stay in Patzcuaro.
The look / very clean/ great service
The look and safety
Shower pressure not good, convenient location, but you have to walk 3 blocks for parking
Wonderful and charming hotel right on the central plaza making it convenient. Nice courtyard restaurant. Great service. Comfortable rooms and beds. I would return if in the area.
Beautiful hotel right on the town square. Rooms are charming and walls are thick, blocking out noise. The restaurant in the beautiful internal patio is peaceful and the food is delicious.
Unfortunately our room was right above Dominos Pizza. The room got very hot from the ovens and the arome off the pizza was ever present. The revkng of the delivery motorcycles did not help with our sleep either.. Otherwise our stay was pleasant.
Staff: extremely attentive and polite. Ambiance: elegantly casual, inviting, comfortable.

Location
Steps to the bathroom in the middle of the night are problematic and I found tow burrs in the bed.
Excelente personal! Volvería a quedarme aquí!
Reception staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable!
I’ve stayed at this historic property several times over the past 20 years. It has the best location and a charm you can’t beat.
Beautiful property that stays true to its roots. Heritage decor with all the modern necessities. Loved how the rooms are named after cities in Michoacán. Staff was absolutely amazing. Strongly recommended.
Mansión Iturbe was absolutely amazing. We stayed during Dia de Muertos and the location could not have been better. We were staying tight across the street from food vendors, the pop up market and all of the entertainment the town had to offer. We were able to walk everywhere. There are so many dining locations to pick from and in walking distance. The hotel staff was incredibly kind. There were water dispenser and ice located near the rooms for your convenience. There was no need to buy water, we just filled up our stainless steel water bottles. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was delicious.
Very clean, good value for your money
There was nothing I did not like. All was great
The hotel was beautiful. Conveniently located in the Zocalo. The on site restaurant was good and convenient. The staff was friendly. The only issue I had was the lack of Air Conditioning. The hotel listing said it was an ammenity but wasn’t the case.
While respecting the historic architecture the design exquisitely provided luxury meeting every need. Every need was anticipated. The beds were made with luxury linen and provided maximum comfort. The staff was very attentive and cordial.
Excellent service,
Perfect location. Comfortable room.
WiFi was pretty bad. No privacy in the bathroom.
The location on the main plaza was great. Everything is close by. Comfortable bed, pillows, and bedding.
The rooms that face the plaza are great but also get quite a lot of noise from the street.
Beautiful property, excellent staff.
Friendly staff and lovely room with a view of the plaza!!
The hotel is perfectly located on the main square. It’s a very characterful building, with a lovely courtyard area where they serve food and drink, a sun terrace at the back and a library. We were also able to park outside the front door, which was very useful. The staff were very friendly and they did some laundry for us, which was very useful.
Our room was at the front on the square and as a result was very noisy, both at night (until around midnight) and from about 6am. Earplugs were very much required. Ask for a room away from the front.
The historical value and beauty of the mansion. The location was excellent.
The room was cold. The internet was sparse and kept cutting out.
The beautiful old mansion and the breakfast
It was like staying in a work of art. Every corner held a new mystery to be uncovered and appreciated.
It was great. I wouldn't change anything.
This gem of a boutique hotel is right on the main plaza but, once the windows are closed, any noise is blocked out, resulting in a delicious night's sleep in the comfortable bed. Our room was tastefully decorated, with all the modern amenities one needs but still in keeping with the colonial vibe. Step outside the hotel doorway and you have a choice of many restaurants, cafes and street vendors for your dining pleasure. Or stay inside your room and stand on the balcony while watching the activity in the plaza. I highly recommend this hotel!
Nothing!
This hotel is FABULOUS!!!. Hotel Mansión Iturbe is a magnificent colonial mansion, located in the heart of one of Mexico's most beautiful cities. It is is filled with authentic antique furniture, beautiful plants and artworks and offers unusually large rooms with all the amenities of a superb hotel. The rooms, wide balconies, central courtyard and entrance are immaculate. Staying here is an artistic experience.
Nothing. Everything was beyond my expectations.
Excellent location! Beautiful room
Everything!
Beautiful historic building
Nothing
Nice architecture, tastefully decorated, great location. Tea and coffee service was such a special touch, especially in the evening.
No air conditioning or heat, reception wasn’t warm, although fine.
Our room was spacious and lovely - and had a window that could be opened for fresh air. (something I always need). The internet was very good and the location couldn't have been better. We could hear the church bells ringing but not much else. I'd stay here again!
Everything, absolutely lovely. Cosy, historical, tasteful, clean, spacious.
Please, stop serving Nescafé in the restaurant... Mexico is a big producer of real coffee. And it would be nice to add shower gel to the provided toiletries.
Its a very historical property, beautifully restored and Maintained
Beautiful property, we specially appreciated the courtyard where we had a drink or two. Kudos to Moises our bartender!
Excellent hotel with a great staff. The place is amazingly beautiful. The rooms are huge. Beds comfortable. I have never been to a hotel where everything was spotlessly clean. The tile floors in the hallway shined. The floors in our room were impeccably clean. I should know, I go barefoot or wear white socks when indoors. The Mexican old world decor was eye-popping.
Nothing
This is a fantastic hotel. The beds were comfortable, the balcony was fun to do some people watching, the staff was friendly. Most importantly, the place is gorgeous! The floors and ceilings are even works of art. The headboard in our room was hand carved. The hotel is like something you see in movies. I usually don't comment on showers in foreign countries, but the shower was exceptionally nice with great water pressure.
There was nothing NOT to like.
A beautiful mansion!!! The decor is a piece of art. The property is clean and felt very safe.
So far everything was wonderful!
The hotel is in a perfect area.. coffee shop next door is very nice. The only thing is the parking lot is far. Expedia says air conditioning and it doesn't have and no elevator
Beautiful rooms...great amenities....and staff very helpful. It is good if you speak Spanish
Toilet leak...the bathroom was beautiful though and great shower
Great location, comfortable room, friendly staff.
