Not really anywhere to chill comfortably and air con quite noisy . But plenty of places around hotel to chill . They do need to upgrade the towels from hostel standard !

A very attractive hotel right in the heart of Bruges and overlooking a canal. Nice and comfortable room. Profeesional staff

The location is a plus and a minus. Parking is very difficult as Bruges is now pedestrianised. Sat Nav really struggled to find a route into the parking 150m from the hotel. It took half an hour and a few stressful wrong turns to eventually get there.

Le charme exceptionnel de l’hôtel, son emplacement absolument magnifique au bord des canaux et l’atmosphère très romantique. La chambre était élégante, confortable et pleine de caractère. Nous avons également beaucoup apprécié l’accueil et la gentillesse du personnel. Pour une nuit à Bruges en amoureux, c’était vraiment un endroit parfait, avec cette impression de vivre un petit moment hors du temps.

Honnêtement, nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à trouver quelque chose à redire. Nous n’y avons passé qu’une nuit, mais tout correspondait parfaitement à ce que nous recherchions pour notre séjour.

Es un hotel lleno de detalles. Excelente ubicación. El personal super atento. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, limpias, con una decoración cuidada al mínimo detalle. Te dan café,te y agua gratis. El hotel está decorado con mucho gusto, con pinturas, muebles y esculturas decorado muy buena calidad y gusto. Como detalle, fue donde se rodó la película “Escondidos en Brujas”

El único pero es el pecio del desayuno. Es verdad que también es buffet pero me parece excesivo el precio (casi 30€ por persona).

Oh my gosh, where do I start. We LOVED everything about this hotel. The location was perfect, the staff was exceptional and the room was beyond beautiful. We booked randomly without any information. We would highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there again if we return to Bruges.

Prachtige locatie in het historische centrum van Brugge. Prachtig hotel in een van de mooiste steegjes van Brugge. Zalig uitzicht op het water. Kamer was klein, maar schattig. Ideaal voor 1 of 2 dagen. In centrum van Brugge en toch van de rust kunnen genieten.

Kamer was wat aan de kleine kant, maar voor de rest kan ik aan niets denken.

La décoration est très belle , l’emplacement idéal et la literie très bien

Le bruit . Nous étions dans une chambre juste à côté d’un immeuble en travaux . Travaux qui ont démarré à 7h30 du matin . Aucune information préalable de la part de la réception. Quand je l’ai signalé le lendemain matin , la seule réponse a été vous êtes les premiers que cela dérange . C’est très leger de la part d’un 4 étoiles et un geste commercial sur le prix de la chambre ( prix élevé )aurait été normal . Il y avait également des cheveux sur le sol de la salle de bain .

Super friendly staff who fell over themselves to make the stay enjoyable. The building is 500 years old, and as a hotel has nice size rooms, each different. Ours was very comfortable with a large bed. Lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water. Weather was very hot so would sit outside of an evening drinking free tea and coffee. Problem with aircon, but solutions proposed and we worked around - so not an issue. Didn't have breakfast as we were late risers. Hotel is central to everything that matters. The old city is bigger and more vibrant than we expected. Always felt safe. Did boat trip and used the tourist bus to get our bearings. Everything is in walking distance - averaged 12k steps per day. We stayed 4 nights and packed a lot in.

Difficult to find fault, so I won't. It was a lovely stay. Word of warning - Belgium beers are very strong, so be careful.

Fantastisch und beeindruckend! Das Relais Bourgondisch Cruyce ist weit mehr als ein Hotel – es ist ein kleines, exquisites Museum. Das Haus atmet Geschichte, begeistert mit seinem geschmackvollen Interieur und liegt an einem der schönsten Orte Brügges. Für uns war es der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um die Stadt zu entdecken. Eine bessere Lage lässt sich kaum finden: direkt im historischen Zentrum an zwei Grachten gelegen und dennoch angenehm ruhig. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants und Geschäfte sind bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Und was könnte schöner sein, als den ersten Kaffee des Tages mit Blick auf das Wasser zu genießen? Wirklich außergewöhnlich war jedoch das Hotelteam. Selten haben wir einen so herzlichen, aufmerksamen und zugleich professionellen Service erlebt. Man hatte jederzeit das Gefühl, als Gast wirklich willkommen zu sein. Die Mitarbeitenden hatten ein bemerkenswertes Gespür dafür, was wir brauchten, oft noch bevor wir selbst daran gedacht hatten. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts wurden wir auf eine Weise umsorgt und verwöhnt, die weit über das hinausgeht, was man selbst in sehr guten Hotels erwarten darf. Wir hatten unsere Fahrräder dabei – auch das war überhaupt kein Problem. Das Team unterstützte uns in jeder Hinsicht mit großer Selbstverständlichkeit und Herzlichkeit. Ein außergewöhnliches Haus mit außergewöhnlichen Menschen. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

I was surprised that the hotel had so few public areas to sit.

The location of the hotel couldn’t be better. We had a room on the top floor with fantastic high ceilings and nice historic features. It was also quite spacious and immaculately clean.

Everything was great, the only small thing that could perhaps be improved are pastries at breakfast. They were sadly not fresh at all.

The location was excellent and the room was beautifully decorated with charm and real antiques. The staff at the front desk, especially the lady,anager, were very welcoming and helpful.

The lock of the bathroom door needs fixing. Our room overlooked the public courtyard may be noisy in high season as there are tables and chairs for the restaurant belonging to the hotel next door. Breakfast was adequate but choices were limited for €29 pp.

I've been in the travel industry for over 30 plus years and have stayed at many different properties. I found this one EXCEPTIONAL. The greeting we received when we arrived to immediate "how can I help you with any questions"! The location was perfect and tucked away from the main street in an alley with an amazing view of the canal in the breakfast room. Highly recommended as a perfect place to enjoy the town.

The location was great - right by the river. We also loved that the style was very traditional throughout the hotel - it felt very cosy.

Although we appreciate the rooms were traditional, there was no fridge or tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The room was also fairly small and there was no bath. For the price I’d expect these small things to be there.

Hotel muy bien ubicado, en un pasaje que mira al canal. Cuando llegamos, nos sirvieron un café y nos sentamos en unas mesas que tienen del lado de afuera. Desde el primer momento estuvimos disfrutando de la magia de la ciudad. El edificio es muy antiguo, pero muy bien mantenido. La recepción y el restorán reflejan los años dorados. La atención, al ser un hotel de pocas habitaciones es muy personalizada. El staff es muy atento y nos dieron excelentes opciones para comer local y de calidad.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and amazing. The building is very old, yet it has been wonderfully maintained, preserving its historical charm without compromising on quality. The rooms are spotless and full of character, making the stay feel both comfortable and unique. The staff are exceptional friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Breakfast is fairly classic and not particularly elaborate, but you can clearly feel the care and attention put into it. The location is fantastic: right in the center of everything, yet perfectly situated beside a canal, which adds to the overall charm of the experience.

Dit hotel was eens onderdeel van een filmset. Dat begrijpen wij. Een geweldige historische locatie en een sfeervolle inrichting met kunst en antiek. Fijne kamer. Ontbijt is zeer smakelijk en wij voelden ons erg welkom. Vriendelijke mensen die het verblijf aangenaam maakten.

Beautiful property, beautiful room. All the charm of Bruges in a super central location in walking distance to everything. Front office staff very helpful. Very good sized room with armchairs.

No coffee making facilities in room is a negative. Sometimes you just want a coffee or wake up early. Waiting 25-30 mins for something you could make in 2 minutes is a miss. Noisy floors, but ok it’s an old building. Could do with bath sheets rather than towels to match really beautiful room. Also, do not disturb typically means call the phone before staff knock on room door.

Great choice and selection of breakfast, both self service and ordered hot food to the table. Our room was amazing, chic and full of quirky furniture and a brilliant view over the canal. Fancy features in the bathroom, marble fittings and lovely hot shower. And drinks available from the reception pre-dinner and a nightcap to finish.

Only thing I can think of is if the plug sockets next the bed were above the line of the bedside table it would have been easier to plug our phone chargers in, that's all.
