Beach front room has very nice views, Staff is very friendly and informative. We had breakfast and dinner, food was very good lots of choices. Taxis from hotel are perfect to go for day trips.

Beach has lots of corals, not possible to swim without water shoes.

Personnel très attentionné, toujours prêt pour vous aider. Suite à une crise de goutte à ma cheville, deux messieurs de l'entrée de la réception ont fait le nécessaire pour ramener un médicament d'une pharmacie à l'hôtel (18h45) par un taxi, merci encore, j'ai pu bien dormir.

Great location with a beautiful view and lovely amenities, the rooms are spacious with a beautiful balcony to wake up and have a coffee listening to the waves is paradise

The staff were quite rude and there was some confusion with the restaurant and front desk , they seem to not really communicate well with each other! The food was pretty average too

La salle principale de restauration est trop grande et bruyante. Certaines tables sont trop serrées et trop proches des buffets.

The bed: the mattress and pillows were very old and uncomfortable.

Activity start time need to be earlier, communication with some staff poor most of them were foreign and struggle to understand. Payment from booking.com need to be direct as there were no confirmation.

After numerous complaints we were provided with an improved room. That improved room was good. The dinner and breakfast buffets had good variety across different cuisines.

It was clear that a discriminatory level of service is practised for Mauritian clients vs foreigners. We had to call several times for them to accommodate a change of room, given that our room reeked of dubious smoke being conducted by our neighbours. We were initially told that no room was available, but when we told them we would be checking out at 6pm on the same day we checked-in, the staff finally 'managed' to find us a quieter room which seemed clearly better furnished/more cosy.

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel à l’Outrigger Mauritius. Le rapport qualité-prix est tout simplement remarquable. Tout le personnel est d’une gentillesse incroyable, toujours souriant, attentionné et aux petits soins du début à la fin. La chambre était magnifique, très confortable, avec une literie exceptionnelle qui nous a permis de passer d’excellentes nuits. L’ensemble de l’hôtel est très bien entretenu et l’ambiance est à la fois chaleureuse et reposante. Un immense merci à toute l’équipe pour son professionnalisme et sa bienveillance. Nous repartons avec de merveilleux souvenirs et reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Nous recommandons cet hôtel sans la moindre hésitation !

La qualité de l'accueil est a souligné. Mention spéciale pour ces 3 personnes : Urvashi du restaurant buffet, VIC du restaurant à la carte et Arvesh de l'accueil. Ces personnes sont d'une gentillesse qui font que vous êtes servis comme des rois. L'ensemble du personnel est également souriant et à l'écoute. La piscine est très grande , l'hôtel est très bien placé et les activités sont satisfaisantes.

Les chambres doivent peut-être, être mieux insonorisées. Ce n'était pas vraiment un problème majeur pour ma part. Le buffet est assez restreint ainsi que le petit dejeuner.

L'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel. Un très grand merci à Sam, le manager du restaurant le Mercado pour sa gentillesse et ses conseils tout au long de notre séjour. Il est d'une grande efficacité dans la gestion de ce restaurant ou nous avons toujours trouvé de la place et un service agréable. L'hôtel est idéalement situé pour profiter de la plage du Morne (l'une des plus belle de l'île)

Les chambres sont un peu mal insonorisés, le personnel de chambre parle très fort le matin, claque les portes, déplace les meubles, font beaucoup de bruit, ce qui empêche de se reposer. Les différentes piscines de l'hôtel ne sont pas chauffées, en basse saison impossible d'en profiter ce qui est dommage pour un établissement annoncé comme 5 étoiles.

Loved the outrigger, woke up every morning to hearing and seeing the ocean. Rooms clean and tidy. Staff very friendly, this was a great please to spend my 60th birthday.

The checkin was bit chaotic, had to wait long. The hotel is old and not that clean for a 5 star. Also old people unfriendly. Had ask several time for support to bring my old mother from room to restaurant but unfortunately nobody came.

Breakfast buffet was extensive - catered for European, Indian & Chinese palates. Coffee mavhines were good. But there were flies on the cereal and generally cleanliness was poor.

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The location was excellent — perfectly situated away from the typical touristy resorts, which made the whole experience feel more authentic, peaceful, and relaxing. The grounds are enormous, so it never once felt overcrowded, even during busier times. There was always plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the surroundings. Another highlight was the variety of restaurants available — with so many different options to choose from, every meal felt like a new experience. Since we booked a Superior room, we had access to a private restaurant, pool, and lounge area exclusively for guests in the same room category. As there were only a limited number of Superior rooms, this area was never crowded. The fact that it was adults-only was truly the best part — it created a calm, sophisticated atmosphere that made our stay even more special. The room itself was beautiful, spacious and plenty of comfort. The bathroom was equally impressive — large, well-designed.

The WiFi reception was appalling. For a five-star hotel — especially when staying in a Superior room category — reliable, high-speed internet should be a basic standard. Unfortunately, the connection was inconsistent and often very weak, which was frustrating. Another issue was the insulation. During a thunderstorm, we could hear the rain as if it were pouring directly into the room beside us or onto our floor. Even more concerning, the ceiling began leaking, and a visible puddle formed. This was unexpected and certainly not what you would anticipate from a hotel of this category. Communication was also challenging at times, as several staff members were not very fluent in English. This made ordering food and drinks more complicated than it should have been. Additionally, the service lacked attentiveness. Rather than being proactive — offering additional drinks, checking in, or enhancing the experience — we often had to actively look for staff to place another order, which again was not always easy due to the language barrier.

Room and view was very nice. Staff friendly and helpful. A lot of activities on offer.

the selection of the food at night was very average, especially for a 5 star resort. Breakfast was good.

Hotellet havde en rigtig god beliggenhed ved den smukkeste strand. Maden på de forskellige restauranter var virkelig god, det samme gælder for servicen. Der var desuden også rigtig pænt overalt på hotellet.

Det tog rigtig lang tid fra man bestilte drikkevarer ved poolen til de kom. Nogle gange glemte de det helt og så måtte man bestille igen. Dette gjaldt dog ikke ved restauranterne, hvor servicen var fantastisk!

Du début a la fin du séjour clairement pas à la hauteur d'un hôtel 5 étoiles... Pour commencer l’hôtel mérite une bonne rénovation. Ensuite la qualité des repas est mediocre (du petit déjeuner au dîner). Très compliqué de pouvoir réserver l'ensemble des restaurants proposés ( il y en a 3 dont un de tapas ...) le restaurants la plantation se dit d'ailleurs gastronomique mais on est loin ... Cependant les plats indiens proposés au petit déjeuner et au restaurant principal le soir sont bons. Par la suite il y a des chiens errants se promènent dans l'hôtel, aboient depuis votre petit déjeuner jusqu'à votre repas le soir). Happy hour sur les cocktails (3 de la carte ) Service laissant a désirer par moment (lors de notre départ appel depuis la chambre de l'accueil pour récupérer les bagages. 30min plus tard après avoir réglé l'intégralité du séjour a l'accueil nous nous sommes retrouver a attendre nos bagages avec comme motif que personne avait appelé pour faire cette demande. En conclusion après avoir séjourner dans plusieurs autres hotels à maurice, si vous souhaitez passer un séjour dans un hôtel 5 étoiles à l'île Maurice je vous conseille un autre hôtel que celui là

المبنى حديث والاثاث كذلك والتعامل سلس وسهل الان فصل الشتاء (يونيو يوليو ) اللي حاط في باله سباحة وبحر وتان يغير الوجهه لان الان موسم شتاء رياح وهواء بارد ماقدرنا نستمتع بالشواطي ولا المسابح هذا الفندق عنده مسبح فيه هيتر الواحد يقدر يسبح فيه بس المزعج الهواء هذا الوقت قوي فندق هيرديج فخم كا مبنى وغرف وخدمة قدمولنا مشروب بالغرفة وكيك وتي شيرت وشنطة بحر هدية اذا عندكم مناسبة اذكروها لهم اثناء الحجز اشكر موظف عندهم اخر يوم قابلنا وخدمنا وحلو اسلوبه اسمه arvind مطعم الفطور في هيرديج اصناف محدود والعشاء كان طلب من المينيو طبق سلطة وطبق رئيسي وطبق حلا وكانت الاطباق صغيرة . يوجد شطاف عندهم فعالية قوارب اسالوا عنها وقت تسجيل الدخول منطقة الشمال افضل بالشواطيء من الجنوب والشرق وهذا الفندق يقع بالجنوب الشاطيء قصير جدا ماتقدر تسبح فيه ابد يوصل للركبة فقط. هذه المعلومة تمنيت اعرفها قبل احجز لان البحر صعب السباحة فيه غير رملي وقصير جدا وجود اعشاب بحرية على البحر بكثرة

La piscine, la chambre, l’accueil et l’emplacement était parfait

Activité nautique insuffisante, un restaurant fermé en plein vacances scolaires , le petit déjeuner pas de choix suffisant dans les produits, une partie du personnel ne parle pas du tout français .

Le cadre est vraiment idyllique, l'emplavement avec la piscine au bord de la plage qui permet d'alterner mer et piscine. Le bar au bord de la piscine, les chambres hyper grandes avec baignoire et douche et le restaurant le Plantation qui est au dela des autres restaurants du complexe.

L'inconstance de l'amabilité et la serviabilité du personnel. On est dans 5 étoiles et clairement tout le monde ne dit pas bonjour, explication du fonctionnement pas toujours faite ni claire, manque un peu de joie de vivre...

Edgewater and Club Plantation restaurans are on the very good level. Room cllening is excellent.

No coconuts to drink, either in AI or even to buy. Poor room maintaince, bad AC, TV, cabinets. Mercado restaurant very dirty and stained plates and no AC at all. Main pool dirty, nothing extra, suraundings poorly cleaned, sun beads all dirty.

Le restaurant est très intéressant. Le cadre est sympa. Les coraux dans le lagon sont mieux qu'avant.

Le personnel ne dit pas bonjour, la chambre est spacieuse mais manque de confort (tapis de sol), les meubles sont vieux et cassés, pas une bonne réception lors de notre arrivée. Aucune geste commercial malgré des promotions en cours pour les mauriciens comme ma famille. Facturation mauvaise en partant.

Das Zimmer war sehr schön, hatten eine Terrasse mit Meerblick. Das Personal war super engagiert und zuvorkommend. Der Strand war wunderschön, keine fremden Leute, nur die Hotelgäste. Kilometer weit konnte man spazieren gehen, ohne eine Menschenseele zu sehen. Sehr erholsam.

Essen war sehr eintönig. Zimmer war etwas müffelig, da es eine sehr feuchte Luft hatte.

Очень хороший снорклинг, особенно при отливе! Территория отеля приятная, ухоженная, много зелени, по утрам поют птицы. Ужины хорошие, завтраки немного однообразные. Уборка в номере каждый день, воду приносят.

Bra strand och bra snorkling. Vårt rum var fint men i behov av renovering.

Rum dåligt städat, fattades tvål, handdukar etc. Service jättedålig på restaurangerna, fick vänta extremt länge på både dryck och mat. Vi blev matförgiftade vid buffen. Även om vi påtalade allt ovan, gjordes inget åt det. Kommer aldrig åka hit igen!!!

Les problèmes de communication avec le personnel de restauration et de nettoyage qui ne parle pas français et très peu anglais mais surtout l’hindi.

From the moment we arrived Melissa treated us like with such hospitality and kindness. She took the time to show us around and offered us welcome drinks and explained everything. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. We had a beautiful sea view room. Drinking water was given to us daily in bottles. For New Years Eve they had an amazing firework display and we all got a new years Eve treat. The dinner tables were beautifully set and we got hats and props to wear for fun. Most nights there was entertainment. There were 3 restaurants to choose from: Plantation club: our favourite with fine dining experience Edge: had a delicious a La Carte menu Mercado the main restaurant which was a buffet but we didn’t really enjoy the food and for someone who didn’t eat meat, cheese or chicken there was limited fish options. And new years not all the menu options shown were available. The aqua gym daily was a lot of fun. One of our highlights was time at plantation club where Dinson treated us like kings. He really is amazing and goes out of his way for every single guest. The chef’s and staff are also kind and went out their way.

Most of the orders we placed while on the beach never arrived. The service at the Blue needs improvement and their food does.

朝食は種類は豊富だが、補充するタイミングが遅い、また、子供が食べられるメニューが限られていたのは残念だった。設備は老朽化しており、清潔ではあったが古さを感じた。ホテルスタッフは、中にはホスピタリティのあるスタッフもいたが、太宗は仕事をこなしているだけのように感じた。AMEXの場合、EUR支払いができないため、現地でMUR建で支払う必要がある点、事前案内がなかったため戸惑った。

Not enough entertainment for older kids.

Direkte Lage am Strand, 1 h vom Flughafen entfernt. Sehr nettes Personal, aber ein wenig unbeholfen. Sind um 6.30 nach einem langen Nachtflug aus wien angekommen und es wurde uns gesagt, dass wir erst um 14 Uhr in u See Zimmer können. Es gab nicht einmal eine ordentliche Möglichkeit zum umziehen und das Frühstück sollten wir auch bezahlen. Das da dem wir sehr anmaßend und haben uns gleich aufregen müssen. Dann ging es plötzlich ohne charging. Silvester Abend war sehr schön und das Essen auch sehr ausgefallen an diesem Tag. Leider nur an diesem Tag mit Langusten und Shrimps. Das mussten wir aber auch bezahlen.

Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen, strandliegen alt, Aschenbecher von Rauchern nicht gesäubert und außerdem hatten wir gleich eine Kakerlake am ersten Abend im Zimmer. Das war die tolle Ankunft! Und am vorletzten Abend wieder eine, katastrophale war das für uns! Wir kennen so etwas nicht!

The ocean view is magnificent

This hotel is definitely not a 5-star hotel. The restaurant is low quality, the rooms are old and in need of renovation. At breakfast, food always runs out, and people are forced to wait for more to be brought. This doesn't happen right away. There are cockroaches in the rooms, old renovations, and many broken items. The rooms often lack hair conditioner and other toiletries expected of a 5-star hotel.

The hotel is absolutely old , shabby and smelly. Furniture is so old that u feel disgusted being there. Mice are everywhere running around as main guests there. Cokeroaches fly in the room! Cocktails in the bar are overpriced and made of cheap syrops. We stayed for 2 nights there and were happy to run away !

Everything is horrible. Hotel looks as it’s older than 50 years ! Personal barely speaks English and the guy at the bar doesn’t know the words “milk” or “bill”.
