It was hard to tell from pictures what this place would be like, but it was awesome. Very clean tidy. Very comfortable beds. It exceeded my expectations. Would definitely go back.

Everything in the place was old. Windows were literally falling out of there locations because the frame was bent. Smelled foul. Was a let down.

We liked the breakfast outdoor patio and the grassy sitting area with pergolas and comfortable lawn chairs.

I had a pleasant stay at the Recreational Inn & Suites in Kelowna, and I would like to recognize the staff who made our stay more enjoyable. Prosper, one of the dining room staff, was very friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to assist us. The General Manager was also very accommodating and made a genuine effort to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible. The hotel is conveniently located close to many facilities, restaurants, and other amenities, so getting around was easy and distance was not a problem. This was definitely one of the positive aspects of our stay. The rooms were clean, and the staff overall were very nice and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with the cleaning staff and their efforts. However, my main concern was the condition of the facility, particularly the air conditioning. Since we stayed during the summer, the temperature was quite hot, and unfortunately, the air conditioners were not working properly. The air conditioner in our original room was not functioning well, and when the staff offered us another room, we found that the air conditioning in that room was also not working effectively. This made the stay uncomfortable, especially during the hotter parts of the day and night. I also found the beds to be somewhat hard. I understand that finding a mattress that suits everyone's preferences can be difficult, so this was a minor concern compared with the air-conditioning issue. Overall, I believe the facility would benefit from some renovations and general touch-ups, with the air-conditioning being the most important area to address. Despite these issues, I really appreciated the kindness and professionalism of the staff, especially Prosper and the General Manager, who genuinely went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. With some improvements to the facility, particularly the air-conditioning, I believe this hotel could provide an even better experience for guests.

The breakfast was great, the staff at the dining by name Prosper, was exceptional.

Clean rooms, very tall beds, free breakfast, loads of board games, bocci, corn hole and BBQ's. We had a small kitchenette. Would be good for a long stay. Not exactly handicapped accessible, we had a few issues with access and they originally booked us on the second floor. (No elevator) They did move us to a ground floor room.

We stayed 9 nights during a fire evacuation. We were grateful for a clean room, comfy beds, friendly staff and a decent continental breakfast. A small kitchenette was handy. Not fancy, but homey.

We stayed in 217. Right next to the ice machine. Busy road behind what slept like a baby. I was worried because i'm a light sleeper, but it was perfect. Super comfortable beds and really nice grounds to enjoy! The breakfast was also a nice continental breakfast with lots of options! He even had a kitchenette with full fridge and stove!!

Friendly and helpful staff. The pool was amazing on a hot day. Clean and tidy room.

The bed was awful! Very soft! The air con unit was right next to the bed, blasting cold air directly onto the bed and we weren't able to adjust the fan strength. The room and bathroom could do with an upgrade. Overall the friendliness of the staff and locality of the motel were plus points.

This place is great! We had a spacious clean suite with aircon, breakfast daily and comfy beds. The only thing we could have used was a hot tub and a airconditoner in the bedroom so we didn’t need to keep the door open.

The staff were very friendly , top notch . Location was great , room size was perfect for my family, breakfast was your basic, cereal, bagels, yogurt etc but was satisfying. The kids loved the pool and loved the chairs out on the lawn for relaxing.

My only complaints are that the beds were very uncomfortable and the room was outdated. The rooms were pretty clean ,however the walls could use a washing. A bit over priced for a 3 night stay

A hidden gem! We needed a last minute room in Kelowna on a Saturday night — not an easy feat. We found a room at the Recreation Inn for a great price and decided to give it a try. We were pleasantly surprised with how friendly the staff was, great parking, cutest grounds with BBQs and games, and the pool was super clean with the perfect amount of sunshine. The convenience store behind the motel was extremely convenient, too. The room was a one bedroom with another queen and a full kitchen. It was older, but had some updates, and it was very clean. We travel to Kelowna 4-5 times per year and usually stay at The Royal. Honestly, for the price we paid at the Recreation Inn with the same amenities — it might be our new fave place for summer trips. If you’re not fussy about new and shiny, but want somewhere cozy and clean — don’t hesitate!

The attention we received was really nice, and every single person I interacted with was really nice and kind.

We have an issue with the tidiness of the bathroom. I ask for the room to be made up and cleaned, and they do it.

I loved the cleanliness, the friendly helpful staff, and the out door gas grills. Out door pool area was nice and clean as well as the change rooms.

The bed wasn't as comfortable as I would have hoped, but not the worst I've ever slept in. And didn't like that there was no smoking area near the pool.

Staff were lovely and really helpful. I was given a free room upgrade which I wasn't expecting. My phone wasn't working and staff helped me out booking an airport taxi. Would definitely recommend this place.

Das sehr freundliche Personal und die Sauberkeit. Wir haben die Pantryküche genutzt. Das war super. Der Pool war sehr sauber und angenehm kühl, was nicht zu erwarten war, weil den ganzen Tag die Sonne auf ihn geschienen hat.

Die Lage ist eigentlich ganz gut, weil relativ zentral. Leider war es durch die zwei Straßen immer sehr laut, vor allem wenn man mit offenen Fenstern schlafen wollte. Wenn die Fenster geschlossen sind, ist es ok. Die Klimaanlage ist sehr laut und könnte mal gereinigt werden.

It’s a nice comfortable clean hotel that is centrally located in downtown Kelowna. Very convenient location. Has a nice simple complimentary continental breakfast that gets you up and on your way. It was perfect for our quick overnight stay !

Wonderful place to stay ! Staff so friendly and helpful, excellent location near restaurants, shops and bus. Continental breakfast was awesome - so much to choose from ! We asked for a rubber bath mat, as tub is slippery, and they brought us one within a few hours. Our suite was lovely - spacious and clean. Highly recommend this property !

Recreation Inn, and suites in a great location. It’s close to town and to shopping areas and restaurants and highway for ease of getting to the wineries and other tourist places. The staff were great happy accommodating, friendly. Looking forward to staying again sometime.

It’s an older place, could use some upgrades.

I went to Reacreation Inn & Suites with my three children. There was enough space for all of us; we had two queens and a twin. The gardens are magnificent, the staff was polite, it was a good location in town, and it was right beside a rec center giving my kids lots to do. It was a little chilly for the pool, but there is an outdoor pool as well. It's an older building, but it was clean and well set up. Parking is first come first serve, so when they are busy it gets a little crazy. The continental breakfast was decent; cereal, coffee, tea, bagels, toast, crescents, fruit, yogurt, muffins, juice, and milk. All around, I was very pleased with everything.

Very clean rooms and nicely set up. Outside area was immaculate wirh chairs, games and BBQ. Also picnic tables under gazebos. Overall the property is well maintained with great staff. Breakfast was not as expected with just coffee and muffins. But at least fresh. Overall worth the experience

The bed was super comfy with lots of pillows and the shower worked great. I didn't get to try the breakfast because I had a really early flight so I can't really speak to that. You pay for what you get with this one, nowadays it's hard to find anything better for cheaper. But it seems like they are doing the best they can with the facilities and trying to make it an inviting place. It had bbqs available for use.

The front desk staff was very nice. The room was also very clean, and the hotel was in a convenient location (especially seeing as I don't drive).

Manager threw my clothes that were airing out on Adirondack chairs in the garbage he told me!!!!!! This happened after 3days when i’d had different items outside, on their lawn between approx 2200 (when i glanced out & saw them) & 0200 next morning - bizarre ! Called the RCMP & will follow up because i have not been allowed 2 see security footage as requested. Totally unsatisfactory - no compensation 2 b awarded

Breakfast was lacking. coffee was empty..one toaster thar was very busy..not much to select from .others had boiled eggs but none left..cereal, apples and oranges and plain yougurt was about all..this was the first time I ever had to pay the full amount upfront..was charged for a supposed stain on bath mat

For hygenic reasons the guest should not be required to clean the dishes. I purchased disposable kitchen ware. What are the health board regulations regarding unsanitized kitchen supplied. No elevators for guest with disabilities. The advertisement shows the venue to be new and it looks old & well used.

We were in a kitchenette so having a table that 2 people can sit at would be good and allowing pets is fantastic but maybe having a broom and dust pan would be great as well

We had room 216 which had a queen bed in the main room and another queen in a separate bedroom, and also had a well equipped kitchen. The suite was clean, very very spacious, had lots of lighting and everything was in working order. Management was kind enough to arrange for our early occupancy. Breakfast had plenty of choice. As it was December we didn't make use of the outdoor space but it looked well kept and appealing. Not far from Orchard Park mall. Very reasonably priced. I would (and probably will) stay at the Recreation Inn again with no hesitation.

This was a nice place for a two star Hotel. Stayed 3 nights. Nothing fancy but if your looking for a decent value that is relatively clean, this place will work. Comes with a fridge, microwave and is a safe neighborhood.
