WOW! Just wow! From the moment we arrived at the Taj, we felt incredibly welcomed and well cared for by Sonali and her team. The arrival experience was wonderful, and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay made it feel truly special. We were delighted by the little surprises and treats brought to our room, including delicious baked goods, which added such a personal and memorable touch. The staff were exceptional - in particular Sonali, Nidhi, Kaustubh, Anay and Sagar. Everyone we encountered was attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly, always making us feel looked after without ever being intrusive. The dining experience was equally wonderful, with excellent service and absolutely delicious food. Sagar made us some delicious cocktails and is a real master at making them! Our room was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, making it a pleasure to return to after each day. The hotel itself is simply stunning and incredibly picturesque. Every detail, from the setting to the interiors and the service, felt special. The spa was incredible and exactly what we needed to relax and unwind - Nidhi went above and beyond to help sort this for us. Overall, this was an exceptional stay. The combination of beautiful surroundings, wonderful hospitality, thoughtful surprises, excellent dining, and an incredible spa made our experience truly memorable. We would happily return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special and genuinely welcoming stay.

- Qualité du petit déjeuner bien en-deçà du dîner - Propreté qui pourrait être renforcée (d'où le 8/10 car sinon tout était parfait) : tâches sur les tapis, tâches de sang sur l'unique peignoir de la salle de bain (nous étions 2 donc il en manquait déjà un de base) - Manque d'instructions dans la chambre concernant les facilités et informations générales - La piscine en forme de rond est absolument incroyable et magnifique, dommage que la couleur de l'eau ne nous ait pas donné confiance pour nous baigner dans celle-ci alors que c'est la plus belle. Nous avons donc opté pour la seconde, près du spa. Magnifique et calme aussi !

Cet hôtel possède le charme des palais anciens avec un grand confort. Nous sommes venus lors d'une vague de chaleur et malgré les 42° extérieurs, la climatisation était parfaite! Le petit déjeuner et le dîner dans la cour, avec musicien, étaient de beaux moments de détente. La piscine géante est magnifique et nous nous y sommes baignés malgré la très lourde chaleur(nous étions les seuls 😁). L'accueil avec tambour et trompette donne le sourire dès l'arrivée 🎊

Wunderschönes Palasthotel mit großer Poolanlage, schönem Restaurant und eleganter Einrichtung, einmaliger, pompöser Empfang mit rotem Teppich, Miusik und Blumen, der einem das Gefühl eines Staatsgastes vermittelt, sehr freundliches Personal, außergewöhnliches Frühstücksbuffet. Schöner Spa-Bereich. Wir bekamen ein Upgrade auf die Royal Suite - einmaliges Erlebnis betreffend Größe, Ausstattung und Ausblick ! Vielen Dank !

I'll trained staff - not attentive - had to request help for room cleaning multiple times. Breakfast staff was again overstaffed but poor understanding - aghast to see such poor service from Taj Group

The setting, the pool, the room

Room was just a little dark.

It is a very nice historical property. It has lot to see and lot to learn from. The office staff and kitchen staff were exceptional kind and customer oriented.

There is nothing I can say that I did not like.

Taj Usha Kiran Palace is truly a stunning blend of heritage, luxury, and warmth. The architecture, vintage interiors, and serene ambience make you feel as if you’ve stepped into history. The staff was exceptional — attentive, graceful, and very welcoming, ensuring every detail was perfect. The room was beautifully restored with modern comforts while retaining palace charm. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast spread which felt curated rather than standard. The gardens and pathways were beautifully maintained and perfect for peaceful walks and photos. We also captured some beautiful clips here for Aayansh Magic World — the palace setting added a royal touch to our content and made our memories even more special.

Nothing major — just a small suggestion: a few modern upgrades in certain corners would elevate the royal feel even more. But overall, everything was wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Taj Usha Kiran Palace. The rooms were elegant, and the staff were exceptionally kind and attentive throughout our visit. A heartfelt thank you to Santosh from the housekeeping team for keeping our room nice and comfortable. The restaurant team Saumya, Anjali, Arun, Pramod and Abhishek made sure we were well looked after at every meal. Overall, this is a truly welcoming hotel offering exceptional hospitality. We highly recommend it!

Breakfasts were lovely, though we felt the watermelon juice could have been less watered down.

Wat een geweldig hotel. Werkelijk schitterend. Natuurlijk niet het goedkoopste prijssegment maar vergeleken met andere hotels is het zeker zijn geld waard. Het eten was ook prima. En de service en het personeel bijzonder vriendelijk!

They didn’t have a baby cot and didn’t tell us before hand even though we requested on booking.com and called before hand. Their baby chair was also broken.

Very nice spread of Buffet. Appreciate personal attention and care from Staff, particularly Ms. Soumya - a new joinee at F&B Silver Saloon, Taj Usha Kiran. Appreciate the warmth and engagement, led by General Manager, Ms. Taneja, Front Desk Team Ms Pooja and the staff at Spa. The temple aarti is indeed a refreshing feeling.

Taj can initiate a High Tea around 5 pm. It's an opportunity to engage with fellow residents and also a senior staff can detail about the property, attractions around the city, built heritage, culture, traditions, pedigree and provenance..

The staff were very polite and helpful. The food was outstanding. This is a beautiful property with spacious rooms, manicured lawns, fine decorations, and every imaginable convenience. The evening Ganesh Aarti was wonderful. I would definitely come back.

I traveled with 2 local friends from a small town. A (very) few of the staff were somewhat dissmissive of them. The bar prices were steep.

Total chaos. I paid for two nights when I checked in, but was told that I had to check out after only one nights. After I provided proof that I had a reservation for two nights, I was allowed to stay for the second night. Then after the second night, I was first told that I had to check out and re-check in and change rooms. Then after I was packed and ready to check out/in, I was told that they were trying to allow me to stay in the same room. The facility is charmingly rundown. Some other issues. No hot water in the shower. The restaurant waitstaff "accused" me of being a freeloader. Etc.

Amazing staff

Hotel location is the biggest advantage. Big Lawns and Pick/Drop to Jai Vilas Palace Museum. There was no window in the room, very clautophobic and smelly because of no ventilation. Room 108 - is strongly recommended not to be used...

Room would have been better agianst the price paid for 18k per night !!!!!!!!!!!

My recent stay at Taj Usha Kiran was highly disappointing. The service was subpar, with the staff at the front desk being rude and unhelpful. I felt more like an inconvenience than a guest. When I reported an issue with my bathroom sink being choked, there was no urgency in addressing my concerns, nor were any solutions offered. The amenities were also lacking. To make matters worse, the hotel management asked us not to use the swimming pool because some influencers were taking pictures there. This was highly inconvenient and unprofessional. Overall, my stay at Hotel was a disappointing experience that I would not recommend to anyone. Significant improvements are needed in both service and amenities.

Excellent Property with natural surrounding and fauna

It was hot, Gwalior this time of the year. But no regrets.

I heard about Time walk but I actually felt it as this property made us feel we are in ancient Maharaja Era and we are Maharaja family. From main door welcome until final good bye this hotel did not leave any stone unturned. It was so so so personal and heartfelt welcome 🙏 The horse cart welcome was just faboulous with drum music 🎶…. Front desk team with lady named Yashika ( may be wrong name ) she took us to the room and showed us whole hotel with its history .. so talented lady with crisp of high level hospitality .. Vijay also from front desk guided us to his best Night Manager , he gave my kids painting stuff and made my kid so happy .. thank you again Coming over to Food , the guy who welcomed us and served us whole time was so generous and was standing on his toes all the while we were there . Food was so awesome 👏 great taste specially Cholle Bhature 🥰🥰 House keeping guy Santosh did tremendous job. He showed us their best Suits and it gave us urge to come again 🥰🥰 In and all , great staff , good food , excellent property , kids pool with jacuzzi 🥰👏 Bada Bar so elegant and beautiful 🤩 Thank you Taj , we will never go away from your Group in all over future Indian trips

Exceptional staff and services. We got in quite exhausted after our travelling and the staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and relax. Special mention Ashok from the front office, Kavitha the chef, Santosh in house keeping and Chandini and Vanitha from hospitality/ Food and beverage. These staff members went over and above the call of duty to ensure we had a most memorable stay.

The most incredible 24 hours here. The fabulous royal welcome and horse drawn carriage and music was an amazing experience. The staff were all amazingly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Dheeraj in particular was such a honey!! The room was just beautiful and everything honestly insane. They even had printed out a proposed itinerary of what we could do including a walk around the ground, prayer in the temple and yoga in the morning. Everything was super and definitely recommend. For somewhere so high level, you still felt like you experienced the culture as wel. It was fab. Food also was delish!!!

Literally all was insane, the only thing to comment was the menus being on iPads was a bit annoying. And we only had one iPad for both of us. I think it is the hotel trying to be modern and move away from paper. However, something of this level, and this classy, this sadly detracts from that. If I was to receive an iPad for a menu In the Ritz in London - I would be shocked. And this is that level. A nice leather bound menu would be more appropriate.

The culinary delights served were a feast for the senses - the food and tea were beyond delicious. Our rooms were not just accommodations; they were cocoons of comfort, with beds so cozy that every night was a restful retreat. Ms. Riya, always at our beck and call, ensured that our requests were promptly and efficiently taken care of. The ambiance of the palace is nothing short of regal. With two temples within the premises, the atmosphere exuded peace and spirituality, making us feel like Maharajas in our own right. To top it off, the horse cart riding experience for our son was an absolute delight, adding an extra layer of joy to our stay. Our 1 Night and 2 days stay at the UK was phenomenal. The staff was active and helpful. I want to shout out for Santosh (HouseKeeping), Executive Chef during our stay, Bheru Singh (Office Manager), and other staff who have been interactive, watchful, and supportive during our stay. The delicacies and ambience was amazing. I would take Taj UKP during my second visit to Gwalior.

Of all the Taj properties I’ve experienced, this is the most charming. Staff are excellent and rooms very tastefully and thoughtfully appointed.
