The hosts where very accommodating, with clear communication, Friendly and attentive. The breakfast was excellent and service very good. The courtyard parking area was a bonus.

Ling and Richard are outstanding hosts. They kindly let us check in a little early, provided earplugs against bank holiday pub goers, had activity recommendations at the ready, and were super friendly. The cooked breakfast is the perfect size, the rooms are spotless, and the location is just a 5 min walk from the bus station.

An extra towel for hair/face would be useful, but I'm certain they would provide it, if asked. As it was, it ended up not necessary and should not in any way be counted against the excellence of Bridge Guest House.

Tad warm but to be expected in this heatwave. Parking - very tight entrance and pain at having to move vehicle by 0830 each morning.

This was a return visit. We were greeted warmly by Richard and made welcome. The shower was beautifully clean with towels and wash and our comfortable bedroom had view of the river. The room was light and airy and there was a fan and large bottle of water already in the room. The weather was exceptionally hot. Ling had this covered. The breakfast was great, everything prepared to order with attention to our preferences. Plenty of tea and toast and a selection of cereals and fruit as well as any cooked order. Ling is friendly and interested in our holiday plans,our comfort and wishes. Both Richard and Ling make this a guest house you want to return to. Their attention to us and to detail makes for a very enjoyable stay.

It's would be hard to find something not to like. The dining room overlooks the river and the bridge. The window boxes add wonderful colour and the access walkway and porch are pleasant too. The stairs wind and are quite narrow but I'm sure Richard would have carried the bags had we arrived with them in hand. It is clear that both he and Ling want their guests to have an enjoyable and hassle free stay. This guest house is an older building with character so the rooms have large sash windows and some are an odd shape this only adds to its charm. It's position by the river and near the centre of town is great and the weekend parking a bonus. We'll keep coming back.

Richard and Ling were the perfect hosts and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was very comfortable and the location was ideal.

The hosts at this property could not be nicer, the location is good however Tiverton has seen better days The Italian restaurant il vechio was really good , walk along empty high street , get to the restaurant open the door and it’s like a different planet buzzing and food and service is Great.

rooms are small, single glazed windows unfortunately run with condensation , in general it’s a bit cramped and tired, breakfast is good but way too much food .parking is only available after 5 30 ish weekdays as it belongs to the office next door also the entrance is via a very narrow alleyway slightly doglegged. So it’s ok ,hosts are lovely if you’re looking for basic accommodation then yes , but it’s not a 8 or 9 guesthouse. Tiverton high street is dead, usual empty shops, barber shops etc; it’s not great.

Die Aussicht zum Fluss. Die Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich.

Zimmer 14 war sehr laut und stickig. Allerdings hatten wir auch 30°. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, ohne Schränke. In Zimmer 9 konnte man es gut bei der Hitze aushalten und es war sehr ruhig. Zimmer 14 müsste günstiger angeboten werden.

Poor water pressure in the bathroom, couldn't run a bowl of water plus the water didn't run hot in the sink. Pillows were very hard, I know this is personal preference but it meant we didn't sleep that well

Richard and Ling are fabulous hosts. Rooms are clean and tidy and maintained daily. Bed very comfortable and breakfasts are excellent. Lings morning greetings and knowledge of the area make for a great start to the day.

The couple running the house were lovely. Very helpful.

Nothing anybody can about noisy togger supporters that can't hold their drink very well. Being bang in the centre of town on a night when England were playing togger did make it a bit noisy.

Exceptional hot weather, room south facing, need much better blackout curtains/blinds . Room unbearable ,heat was intense, small electric fan , not up to the job. Lucky to get any sleep. But , again, heat was exceptional.

Exceptionally well maintained. Spotlessly clean. Lovely bedroom with everything we needed to make tea and coffee. Breakfast was amazing I had salmon & scrambled egg on toast. My husband had full English. Cereal was available and yogurts and fresh melon. Totally spoilt. Richard and Ling were amazing hosts. We will certainly visit again. The best guest house in Tiverton and I would say one of the best in Devon

Shower temperature difficult to control

Its a very nice guesthouse with lovely views up the river. I had a top floor room with excellent views. Bed was comfortable, TV well sized, decent amenities.

It was really hard to get up and down the narrow stairs with heavy bags. The entrance is just off the bridge and it is difficult to get in there with bags from the nearest parking.

The owners made me feel welcome from the start and throughout my stay. There are places to eat near by and the town centre is a short walk.Breakfast was excellent and freshly prepared to order.

Unfortunately paling was an issue as there is little street parking and the B&B parking is limited in both space and availability. The single room I was in had a very small on-suite especially the shower which was a disappointment.

Arrived really late and Richard was so understanding and kind. Had a lovely nights rest and one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. A wonderful stay, hosts were amazing!

Great location, hosts Richard and Ling were very welcoming nothing was too much effort for them. Great breakfast (full English) to set you up for the day. Very comfortable room with tea & coffee making facilities along with a bottle of water.

Only observation was parking as we stayed during the week, however this is no fault of Richard and Ling who were able to advise where to park. We found street parking (free) as Richard explained and no more than a 3 minute walk to the guest house.

Excellent value for money. Beautiful location. Right on the river and near shops/cafes. The owner's were very friendly. Rooms clean. Great breakfast. Pretty standard BnB thinner walls but not an issue as people generally don't come in late at night or make a ruckus. Shower was small but for the price I wouldn't even expect an ensuite so that was great! Would absolutely stay again!

Worth noting there is only parking at night and weekends. I also dismissed other reviews saying it was tight to get into the car park, but it is a squeeze and I have a small car. However there is free parking just across the bridge which the owner's can point you towards which is just a couple of minutes walk. I easily found a space there for my whole stay.

Nothing it was super. Just in case, if you have mobility problems there is no lift and the bedrooms are on the first and second floors. Didn't bother us in the least and I am sure the hosts would have helped but it might be an issue for some.

Very quiet location set next to a river with beautiful views. My room was small with a very comfortable single bed and an ensuite.

Limited parking facilities but plenty a little way up a side road but that information is on their booking information.

A delightful place to stay with very reasonable prices. Lin and Richard couldn't have been more welcoming, will certainly stay here again when I'm back in town.

The location was perfect for exploring the town. although small, the room was comfortable and very clean. The owners were really lovely, Ling was concerned that we had everything that we needed for breakfast, which was excellent.

The stairs were steep and narrow and there was one point where there was nothing to hold onto. Parking is limited and tight but, as we only have a small car, it was ok for us.

A place with personality, close to the attractions and the bus station, well cared after by the lovely Swainson family. The breakfast was fabulous, proper tasting organic with an atmospheric view of the river. Also, as a London cabbie, didn’t find the courtyard parking too challenging.

Parking was a complete farce and our host Richard made the situation worse by offering a poor explanation and an alternative that was a joke. Our room was a double but it was very small and in reality it should have been a single.

Rooms are a little cramped, but that's to be expected with such an old building.

Was greeted by Ling's beautiful smile and warm welcome - thank you! The food was wonderful. The little room was perfect for a little person like me but may be too small for many. I loved having the window opened and hearing the beautiful church chimes and then watching the river while eating breakfast. Lovely clean bed linen and a very comfortable bed. I look forward to seeing you again.

You had already told me of the parking situation so I was not upset by a little walk to my car. I was more than happy for my little shower but might be too small for some people. You make made great use of the space.

Uns hat sehr gut gefallen, das sich Richard und Ling persönlich um jeden Gast gekümmert haben, ob Anreise, Abreise oder einfach ein Gespräch zwischendurch. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles war sehr familiär, das Frühstück war perfekt, jeder Wunsch wurde erfüllt. Das Zimmer war sehr schön und ausreichend, wir hatten einen schönen Blick auf den Fluss. Das Bad war auch perfekt. Uns hat auch gefallen, das immer frisches Trinkwasser auf dem Zimmer war, sowie ein Wasserkocher, damit man sich einen Tee oder Kaffee selber machen kann. Wir waren total begeistert von dem Gästehaus und der liebevollen Einrichtung. Die Lage war sehr gut, man kann alles zu Fuss in Tiverton erreichen. Wir können das Gästehaus wirklich sehr empfehlen, wir werden sicher nochmal wieder kommen. Greetings from Eric and Linda

The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Local guides and discounts in nearby restaurants on meals. Location was central enough to walk into town and see the local area.

Parking during the day, I was working nights while staying here. But Liam did manage to tell me places to park.

Everything was wonderful except for the building work going on across the street which created a lot of noise during the day. As Witherspoon's is just down the road, there was some late night noise but understandable. Can't say enough about how courteous & lovely the hosts were. Thank you

I really enjoyed my stay. The full English breakfast is delicious. The owners are very welcoming and friendly, the facilities are good. The location right in the middle of Tiverton is brilliant, breakfast overlooking the river Exe is very nice.
