Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai

The hotel is in a good location , right by the night bazaar. There is a 7/11 shop across the road. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a good selection of food for the breakfast buffet, which caters for Western and Asian tastes. I have stayed in this hotel before.

The car park has low ceilings and tight corners to drive around, if you are driving a large or 4x4 vehicle, be carefull.

Absence de retour parfois . Mon fils a cassé un verre dans la chambre. Nous l'avons notifié au lobby après avoir tenté d'avoir ie house keeping en vain. Il nous a été dit que quelqu'un viendrait mais personne n'est venu. J'avais déjà tenté un nettoyage mais en l'absence de balais je n'ai pu vérifier qu'il n'y avait pas de plus petits débris.

Once a grand hotel, now a little dated but still comfortable and good value for money, good gymn for workouts and an excellent pool. Great location for the night market and a 10 minute walk to the old city area (but, if you are male, expect a couple of dozens calls for 'massage=kah' on your way there).

Television in room was small and had nothing in English but for one news channel. A larger screen and a movie channel would have been good.

The location is very strategic and very near to a lot of shops. The room is really comfy especially the pillow. while for the breakfast, there a variety of food that you can choose.

Reception area looked tired and in need of a refresh to best represent the excellent condition of the guest rooms. Carpet in hallways looking very worn and in need of replacement; my heart sank when I saw the carpet outside my room but lifted considerably once I entered my room for the first time! I would have liked more Western options (eg full English breakfast options) for breakfast.

This hotel is in a very good location. The night market is around the corner and the Old City is just a 10 minute walk. The room and bathroom were very large. The staff was friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was quite extensive with local and traditional cuisines which also included soups, salads and desserts. There were also omelettes and noodle stations. The breakfast should be described as a brunch. The Fitness Center was one of the largest I have ever seen in a hotel. The locker room included a sauna, steam room and soaking tubs. The hotel was clean; however, it does need a renovation. The hotel's value for price was very good.

الفندق قديم متهالك الاثاث قديم جداً و الستائر متقطعة و الاسرة غير مريحة تجعل النوم صعب و الافطار غير مناسب خصوصا الاكل الحلال محدود جداً.

The location is really convenient- two steps to night bazaar. The food there is really good. Very good breakfast with variety of European 'n Asian food. Comfortable beds. Children said the pillows were hard, they changed for soft ones.

The hotel is really dated'n tired. Showers mounted from the wall, everithing Thai fashion 20 years ago.

La taille du hall, le personnel fait ce qu'il peut avec les moyens qu'on lui donne.

Tout est vetuste, les salles de bain, les peintures, les rideaux. le buffet du petit dejeuner n'est pas qualitatif. L'hôtel n'est pas bien insonorisé on entend ce qu'il se passe dans les chambres à côté. Pour moi c'est un 3 étoiles defrechi.

We stayed at the Duangtawan Hotel for three nights. # 1. The parking was easy and plenty of room for over 150 vehicles, If you park on floor L you can walk straight in to the hotel after going through the automatic doors. # 2. The ladies at reception were very helpful, I paid my 2000thb deposit, received two key cards I will write more about the deposit later. and off We went to our room on the 10th floor. We had a view of the city through very large windows which cannot be opened for obvious reasons. The room is large, the beds comfortable, the bathroom has a toilet, a shower, and also a large bath tub, hot and cold fast running water. If you are a person who likes nice white plastic tables and chairs in you room you will be disappointed, the furniture is in keeping wit the hotel and it looks good. Down stairs in the foyer there are two sweeping staircases which can be described as elegant, perfect for having photos taken there are many comfortable seating areas there, too. Also in the foyer are shops and a restaurant. The other great thing about this hotel, is we could not smell the horrible sent of cannabis anywhere, almost every hotel in Thailand has that horrible smell in them these days. Ok. back to the deposit. I paid two thousand thb, on checking out they checked our room as standard, I gave the lady at reception my receipt I signed for the money and got it back. The reason why I am telling you this is because someone has written on this platform that the hotel will only pay your deposit in to your bank account and it takes about two weeks. IT IS LIES AND NONSENSE. A great hotel, great location, great staff and i will be staying there again in the future.

The hotel is spacious and comfortable. Our two bedroom suite was excellent for a family of 4. Breakfast is a huge spread and the pool deck is also large and clean. The location is excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly

Location was very central to the Pavillion Night Baazar aswell as other markets.

We genuinely felt at times we were staying in the hotel by ourselves. We saw very few staff. We saw very few guests anywhere. At times we'd see suit cases in the lobby or occasionally guests in the lift. Other than that, we had very few encounters with anybody. Breakfast had a large selection and the staff that we did encounter there were nice and were making a huge effort to ensure everything was topped up and keeping an eye on tables etc...The hotel and the facilities are very outdated. The pictures do not live up to reality. It was built and that has been it. No effort to keep up with the trends.

On arrival 5 staff ignored me at reception 2 of them on mobile phones. Pool is a good size but falling apart, tiles missing and sharp edges everywhere plus a raised crack, rubbish left for two days around pool. On departure I was asked if I had taken the laundry bag and told I had to pay for it, fortunately I always video a room as I enter, torn curtains and general disrepair everywhere, shame as I visited here 25 years ago when the place was in its prime

-teilweise Sauberkeit -alles schon ziemlich abgenutzt -Frühstücksbuffet zwar ordentlich, aber für thailändische Verhältnisse nicht so gut -Internet funktionierte teilweise nicht bzw. war zu schwach.... da ich einige geschäftliche Onlinetermine hatte, musste ich für 500THB eine abgeranzte Abstellkammer vom Hotel mieten, um gutes Internet zu bekommen. Das Businesscenter in der Lobby ist zwar gut, hat aber kein Dach, so dass draußen alles mithören könnten.

I stayed here 3 years ago and it ticked the boxes then, hence why I came back. Very Disappointed. It hasn't aged well. The walls are "paper" thin, you can hear the neighbors doing everything. The beds were low and uncomfortable. Breakfast was ordinary at best. The furniture is old and wonky (it won't let me upload a video hahaha). They are obviously catering for a specific demographic of which we were not.

Duangtawan Hotel Chiang Mai needs an upgrade and to be cleaned. The bed was large, firm and excellent. The bathroom was small with a walk-in shower cabin and a separate bath-tub. The television had many foreign channels in a variety of languages. Breakfast was decent with dishes to cover almost any taste. However, there are no roses without thorns. Upon entering my room, I found the curtain had a big hole as well as being dirty. Upon my complaint, new curtains were promptly installed. The furniture was old, both in my room and public areas. According to the evacuation plan on the door, most rooms have a connection door to another room. My room, therefore, had a connection door resulting in noise from the neighbouring room. The carpet in the corridor had severe stains. I was particularly concerned with security, as the lobby was on the first floor and anybody could walk into the lifts on the ground floor and get access to any floor / corridor. All in all, this is not what you expect from a 4 star hotel.

It was very close to the Night Market, lots of restaurants, a 7-11 and ATM across the street. The hotel offered a large buffet breakfast, felt very safe to walk around the area.

It felt a bit out-dated, and the elevators took a long time to go up / down.

The bed was comfortable, and it was a great location. I like the swimming pool with the view of the mountain and the city.

When checking in the lady at the front desk was a little bit short, not very friendly
