Loved the character and location

Great location on the edge of the heart of the town, so it was quiet but also close to activities and restaurants. Comfortable bed. The private balcony for the annexe room was spacious and had a partial view over to the harbour beyond the Fisheries Museum. The kitchen area was handy for self-catering.

The room could have had more softening touches and the layout felt a bit cluttered. The shallow shower tray combined with the flimsy curtain wasn't ideal for showering. The adjoining balconies had little screening between them so felt overlooked when neighbours were outside.

It is right in town and walking distance from everything. It was quiet at night.

The room was very small. The air conditioner and heat were plugged into a power strip which is a fire hazard. We plugged them into the wall as this made us very nervous.

Did not live up to expectations as a ‘honeymoon’ suite. Fairly average room in an excellent location. low grade heater blew the electrics. Lack of sockets for charging devices. Not great value for money but can’t compare with other places. Reasonable rooming house rather than an inn.

The exterior of the property was pretty.

After you walked in the front door it was all downhill. We were not given the room we chose when booking online. My wife has difficulty with stairs and our room was on the second floor up steep stairs. When we asked for a room on the first floor as requested we were told the rooms were already assigned and the inn was fully booked. Then the room itself was smaller than the one we booked with a bathroom so small it was difficult for one person to move around and the floor Tiles were broken. There was a huge interior air conditioner that took up one whole corner of the room. The only Place to hang clothes was over the room fridge tucked in a nook next to the bed which had to second as a nightstand. Lighting was atrocious.

A nice clean room with beautiful ocean view, a small kitchenette with a sink, a microwave oven and eating utensils. Excellent location in Lunenburg.

We liked the size of our room (Sunrise Side View King Room) and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have stayed in! We liked the small shared balcony area at the end of the corridor and we liked the central location of the property.

The room we had booked for our daughter (Town View Compact King) was very cramped. The fridge and microwave were squashed in at the side of the bed and the air conditioning unit took up floor space. It was also in the second level up a steep flight of stairs. We were travelling with luggage for a 2 week vacation and it was difficult to manoeuvre a heavy suitcase up that flight of stairs.

The power outage left us without a/c overnight and we opened windows only to find a diesel generator was chugging away all night across the street from our room. It was noisy and suffocating.

Location was excellent! Staff on front desk second day very friendly! Great to have two chairs and a table in the room and covered patio to have coffee on in the morning

The thought of no parking was a concern when we booked however it was very easy to find free parking on the street for overnight

This cute little inn is located in the heart of Lunenberg . Right on the wharf! The staff was friendly and when we got there early riding a motorcycle they gave us a room to change in to get out of our riding gear. When we came back they had moved all of our stuff to the upstairs room. The room had a sunroom which was pretty warm. I would have preferred an open balcony They had a portable floor air condition which cooled nicely but was a little noisy. The king bed was comfortable they had small bags of ice in a freezer in the lobby that you could get any time. It was a bit expensive for what you got but the location made up for that. Opt for an open balcony room!

Very well placed for seeing Lunenburg. Proprietor was very friendly. Room was nice and clean. Everything you need a few doors away, restaurants, pubs, and shops. A short walk down to the harbour.

Wonderful central location - easy to walk to everything. Patio was great with a lovely view. Quiet hotel even in a very busy weekend in Lunenburg. Room was small but functional.

We had an amazing stay at Rum Runner Inn. We stayed in a Harborview Studio with Terrace and it was PERFECT for our 3 nights. We enjoyed having coffee on the terrace in the morning before the town started getting busier, and enjoying the view of the ships and harbor. The kitchenette had a nice, full size fridge with plenty of space to make simple meals. We were able to have nice homemade breakfasts and lunches to save a little money. The location was fantastic as well, and super close to restaurants, shops, and sites. Check in and check out were easy as well! Highly recommend!

We had an overnight stay at this Inn. The room was spacious enough for 2 adults, although it is located on the main tourist strip is was quiet during the night. Parking is metered and limited. The location is close to the water and if you don’t mind walking up hills you can see the surrounding heritage homes. There is no elevator, but due to the age of the building it is understandable. We had help with our luggage and the staff was friendly. We would stay there again.

The price for the room is way too expensive as if it is exclusive property with a B&B touch. In reality rooms are dilapidated. For example not a single window could be open, all of them are broken. There is no a single mosquito net. Air-conditioner is noisy but windows are broken.

The room was congested. There was an unknown black box in the corner. We appreciate that an old building is space-deprived but the room was not well organized with the location of the fridge, microwave, chair, table & unknown black box to permit us to have more room. Shelving in the bathroom would have been appreciated

Stayed at the Rum Runner for 2 nights while visiting Lunenburg. The room was very clean and the location was perfect. Great view from the balcony overlooking the water.

The owner was very friendly, you talked when we were on the terrasse with the view on the port. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I have nothing but good things about this hotel. The fact that we were juste near the port was very fun.

We really liked that the hotel was central and still it wasn't loud. It was a nice small room.

The room wasn't 100 per cent clean. The pictures looked better than the hotel and for what we got, I think the price was quite high.

Parking is a problem, and you have to feed the meter, We were very fortunate to find the only open spot on the street and it was right in front of the Inn.

Our room was very oppressive , windows had humidity between the panes and would not open. Stagnant air. Loud floor air conditioning , mishmash of furniture , carpeting in the room. Our room was not in any of the photos. Outdated.

The location was great, right by the water.

The room was fine and spacious. The sliding door was very hard to open, I would say it needs to be replaced. As we are strong people, and we struggled with it. The balcony could use some TLC furniture wasn’t very clean out there. The bed was comfy and nice, but definitely the carpet in the room we were in needs to be changed if you could smell it when you walked in. The owner that would chat with you over messenger was very pleasant very welcoming and very kind. I believe his name was Tim. He was very quick to answer and be helpful. The lady at the front when we came in, wasn’t very pleasant, but maybe she was having a bad day.

Room6 was a poor choice - I thought having that big sitting area outside the room would be good -but others can pretty much be outside your window (as was a workman fixing upper floor windows last night when I returned to the room at6 pm - so I felt the need to close curtains over for privacy )- this room needs money spent on it - new bathroom with shower ( not just a shower attachment in the bath ) and new patio doors ( the room ones are broken don’t lock properly so there a black bar across the window to secure the door into place to ensure doors are locked and the glass panes are fogged up too as the glass has broken down and curtains that are darker would be good as there were thin curtains and good curtain poles also

We spent a few days in Nova Scotia with friends and Lunenburg was our favorite stop. The Rumrunner Inn was perfect. It was quiet and comfortable and clean and we especially loved the back porch view of the harbor. I highly recommend staying at RumRunner Inn and I highly recommend a stop in Lunenburg if you go to Nova Scotia. While in Lunenburg we had a great meal at The Knot Pub.

Tolle Lage des B+B mit schönen und großen Zimmern. Freundlicher Empfang. Frühstück konnte man direkt nebenan bekommen. Zwischen 17 und 10 Uhr kann man kostenlos in der Straße parken.

Das Bad war so klein, dass man sich kaum darin umdrehen konnte und es war kein Platz um seine Kosmetikartikel unterzubringen. Die Badewanne war schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Great place to stay in Lunenburg. We stayed in room 7 which had a great view and was super clean and comfortable. No dining facilities in the Rum Runner but numerous restaurants are just steps away. Would happily stay there again.

The location was very good. I liked that they had an electric tea kettle in the room

The tv couldn’t get consistent service. It kept buffering and we were unable to watch anything. Also there was noise in the water pipes for 3 hrs the first night. Not sure what was happening.

No side tables next to the bed and one of the windows and a door had no blinds so the sun came in very early.

We were greeted by very friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable room. The kitchenette had everything we needed. It was very quiet at night. The location was excellent - a short walk to shops, restaurants and the waterfront. The deck was an added bonus, although the weather didn't cooperate with us.

There was no counterspace in the bathroom to place our toiletries.

Beautiful room and great location. The enclosed balcony was perfect for an evening drink and looking over the harbour.

Parking is a bit of an issue but we lucked out and found a spot right in front of have to pay $2/hr from 10-5 but that’s a very minor cost.

It was a good stay. We had a ground level, spacious room in the second building. It had a large deck with a nice, partial view of the harbour. It was quiet, clean, historic with the typical character of Lunenburg

There was a very bad smell of paint fumes in my room, which gave me a headache and nausea. This, despite running the bathroom ventilator and leaving a window open during the night. The second room I was renting for the rest of my party did not have drapes on the window, leaving the occupants exposed at night. Also, this room had skylights with no way of covering them in the early morning sunlight. Guests were provided with eye masks.!! The steps to the upper floor only had a hard rubber covering resulting in considerable noise when guest were coming and going to the upper rooms.
