The Smart TV was not working properly, and the villa door would not fully close unless you slammed it very hard. • Private pool cleanliness Although the staff cleaned the pool every day, the water was still often dirty. I think the pool needs a better filtration or circulation system to keep the water clean throughout the day. • Lobby is extremely hot The lobby has no air conditioning, only fans, and it was very hot and uncomfortable. For a resort of this standard, I was surprised by this. • Buggies need maintenance The buggies were quite old and squeaky and seemed to need better maintenance or replacement. • Breakfast restaurant – 7/10 The breakfast was acceptable, but nothing particularly impressive. • Tide Restaurant – 5/10 Unfortunately, the food quality was very disappointing. My advice would be to stick to the seafood if you decide to eat there.

This hotel exceeded my expectations ! Location is fantastic. Just a few minutes to its private beach, multiple swimming pools. Staff is definitely a credit to this hotel - extremely helpful, polite and go an extra mile for you (special credit for Mr.Mahesh Singh rawat and Mr SSaiful Sharipp). We had an amazing time! We loved the pool, the facities and restaurants food, and our room was very clean and quiet. We cannot wait to come here again.

L’hôtel est dans un piteux état et je ne comprends pas qu’il puisse être classé 5*. Il n’en présente aucune des caractéristiques. Aucun accueil à l’arrivée. Nous avons dû patienter plus d’1h30 après l’heure du Check-in pour avoir nos chambres. Les chambres sont sombres, les murs sales et délabrés, les draps troués et les salles de bains ne sont pas mieux. Les couleurs sentent mauvais et les moquettes sont dégoûtantes. Les serviettes de piscine sont élimées trouées et tachées quand elles en sentent pas l’humidité. C’est franchement une honte pour un établissement de la sorte

キッズクラブはもう少し施設やアクティビティが充実してるとよいと思った。例えば、塗り絵はアクティビティに数えられないと思うし、バルーンアートも一瞬で終わってしまった。 ただ、最終日にフェイスペインティングをお願いしたら、予定になかったがやってくれたのはありがたかった。 また、プールサイドのタオルが不足していたのが困った。持ってきてもらえるよう手配してもらったものの、30分かかっても届かなかった。

Reception staff was very helpful and provided excellent service, except the check out experience which was a bit disappointing. I asked for a taxi but was told it would take more time than Grab. So I ordered Grab but was not able to order two. I asked concierge to order a Grab taxi for me and I will pay cash. He said he cannot. I asked the reception and same. It seems it is part of the hotel policy but it was frustrating. I mean you can help me to just order a Grab...I did it at another hotel in KL and I was not even a guest at the hotel. The receptionist immediately ordered the Grab and all went smoothly. But this should not undermine the excellent stay we had at the hotel.

The pool at the Villa was maintained well and was in pristine condition for use. Dinner at Tide - thank you to the entire team Azmir, Azhan, Narissa, Syauqi, Zahid, Parkimi, Jufais, Zahid, Azuhar, Irfan, Akmal (and the intern, sorry did not get her name). All made the experience exceptional.

Not great value for money. One of the pools was closed for renovations, leaving only the main pool available. The rooms were average, especially considering the high price, and there were very few additional facilities or activities on offer. The beach also didn’t have the typical beach atmosphere—it felt more like a calm lake with no waves.

Nice views and nature, good activities, great for families with kids. Very kind and friendly staff. The best thing was the breakfast.

The property needs repairs and renovation as it’s old and the rooms aren’t pleasant to stay at. The spa treatment wasn’t worth the price, expected a better spa treatment.

The outdoor restaurant is delicious. The indoor ones are okay. The food could be better in the indoor restaurant. And this is important because it’s hot and there are mosquitoes —and sometimes you want to eat away from the elements. Also, the hotel is a bit secluded so there aren’t many dining options nearby — and when traveling with kids, we’d expect better at the restaurant hotel.

Open and airy with rooms overlooking the pool, or the sea. I loved how accessible everything was, location-wise in relation to my room.

Nothing to dislike. About the hotel and staff. One serious recommendation is for the hotel to re-open its other entrance which is next to the St Regis entrance. Reason being that on weekends/public holidays there traffic going up into/out of the hotel is impossible because of cruise boats/catamarans returning from their sunset cruises at the Royal Yacht Club area and tour buses parked on both sides of the roads waiting to pick up their passengers make it impossible for cars to go into and/or out of the hotel. We were stuck for a good 30 minutes trying to return to the hotel.

⭐ 1/10 — A Disgrace to the Westin Brand. I stayed at The Westin Langkawi and left deeply disappointed. This property is an embarrassment to the Westin name. Hygiene failures: • Leftover noodles found inside the electric kettle (photo evidence attached) • Towels and bed sheets smelled strongly of mould • No soap provided, shampoo was empty and not restocked Service failures: • Every request took 30+ minutes or more to be fulfilled • Staff did not proactively check or replenish toiletries Marriott and Westin have a global reputation to uphold. This property clearly does not meet even the most basic standards — let alone 5-star standards. I left before completing my stay. Save your money and book elsewhere. Management should be ashamed.

The property was beautiful! Breakfast was good, though overall the food could have been better! The rooms were nice and clean and nothing could beat the view!

Some of the staff were very surly and not friendly. We had asked for an HDMI cable, and it was a huge fuss to just get the cable for a few hours! There was also an issue with us not being able to request for another blanket (?) which we found odd. For such a big property, they really poorly equipped compared to other Westins i have stayed in!

Les piscines extraordinaires, la vue sur la baie, la vue depuis la chambre et les équipements sportifs et loisirs de l'hotel. Possibilité de sport nautique, belle salle de gym, tennis, pickleball, billard etc... Le restaurant Tide mais aussi la proximité de la marina et ses nombreux restaurants.

Hotel vieillissant avec un besoin de rafraichissement tant au niveau de la décoration intérieure qu'extérieure. Le petit déjeuner moyen.

部屋が思ったより古くて、潔癖な私には気になるところがいくつもあり、部屋の居心地が最高とはいえなかった。また、やけど虫みたいなシマシマのアリを5、6匹部屋内で見つけて、やっつける度にヒヤヒヤしました。子供も素足で部屋内を歩いていたので心配でした。2日連続フロントに伝えたらすぐにお掃除と虫除け？をしてくれ、対応は早かった。3日目にはいなくなったと思ったが、それでも1日1匹は必ず見てやっつけた。

The breakfast was amazing, there was a lot to choose from such as cereal and yoghurt, all sorts of cooked choices, pastries, fresh fruit and juices, tea and coffee. Never had to wait for a table and staff were lovely. The view to the ocean was beautiful.

Quiet location, felt suited to the environment (unlike some very European style resorts in Langkawi) and was laid back but still felt high end.

Getting the temperature right seemed tricky - indoor restaurant was freezing but the semi outdoor ones were quite warm.

Spent 7 nights at this amazing place We had a part sea view room (1409) Room was very spacious with fridge, safe, tea coffee etc all included. As others have mentioned some areas need updating, but look beyond the minor flaws, the resort is stunning with lovely views and the beach is also stunning and so quiet, sunbeds were readily available during our stay. You can order food & drinks from the sunbed using qr code. Staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, always a nice smile from everyone. We eat in all the restaurants and the food was decent. The breeze bar was a nice spot to have drinks at night with a super duo on most nights. Was a treat seeing the monkeys🐒 on the balcony most mornings. Only a 10 min stroll down to other bars, restaurants in the area. Recommend using the grab app for getting around, so cheap. Would throughly recommend at stay here in lovely Langkawi.

Wow, what an absolutely stunning location this resort is in. The rainforest islands to the front of you offering different views everyday & rainforest on every others idea revealing a host of magnificent wildlife. The atmosphere is so relaxed and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The room was beautiful, cleaned to the highest standard and incredibly comfortable and containing everything we needed. The team at the breeze bar went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, welcomed and cared for. Darren and Claire provided fabulous entertainment every evening with their own take on popular music from all genres and the bar team, Al Hazif, Alzat, Zakwan, Anisya, Aiman and everyone else we met were such great fun and always had big smiles for us, a really wonderful team. Everyone we met made us feel very special, their attention to providing amazing customer service is wonderful. This holiday was truly such amazing value and we couldn't fault a single thing. We will definitely be returning. Thank you everyone at The Westin Resort Langkawi! :)).

The Villa location was amazing

First, the lady in the check in counter was very rude and unprofessional. The phone in the villa was not working and they couldn’t address the problem for next 4 hours after lodging the complain. The “Taste” restaurant for lunch too was very upsetting. The food was no way up to the mark and the waiters were too lousy to even provide utensils along with the food

It’s always a pleasure returning to The Westin Langkawi. Despite booking during the busy pre Hari Raya holiday, our reservation was handled seamlessly. Special thanks to Mr. Muhammad Izwan for his great assistance and for ensuring a smooth handover to Ms. Safura during his leave; both were exceptional. The surprise suite upgrade made our stay even more memorable. We were also delighted to see familiar faces — Ms. Rin, Ms. Shima, Ms. Fieza, Mr. Aiman, Ms. Marina and Mr. Ong — whose warm hospitality continues to make us feel welcomed. There is a wide choice of selection for breakfast, but after 4-5 days you would look maybe for something new. Otherwise the quality was excellent.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience at The Westin Langkawi Resort & Spa, particularly for families with young children considering staying here. During our stay, my son sustained a significant cut to his abdomen while in the children’s pool, which required emergency hospital treatment (stitches, antibiotics , painkillers) and follow-up care. From what we directly observed at the time, this appeared to be caused by sharp debris from the pool wall that was found by another child within the pool itself. For a children’s facility, this is extremely concerning and not something most guests would reasonably expect to encounter. What compounded the situation was the response. Immediate assistance on site was limited, and it took time and persistence to arrange appropriate support. In a situation involving a visibly serious injury, this lack of prompt, confident handling did little to reassure us as parents. We did raise our concerns directly with the Loss Prevention Manager during our stay. However, beyond an initial acknowledgement, there was no meaningful follow-up, which was disappointing given the seriousness of the incident. Perhaps most worrying was what we observed afterwards. Prior to departure, we revisited the pool areas and could still see sections that appeared worn, damaged, or incomplete. While I cannot comment on the technical details, it did not give the impression that the issue had been urgently or fully resolved during our stay. That, more than anything, left us uneasy. Beyond this, the overall condition of the resort did not align with expectations. The rooms and decor felt notably dated and in need of investment, which further impacted the overall experience. The location itself is undeniably beautiful, but that alone cannot offset concerns around safety, maintenance, and the standard of guest care. For families in particular, those factors matter far more. I hope the management reflects carefully on this and takes meaningful steps to address it. Although given the lack of response we received - I doubt it.

Wonderful hotel, with spectacular views. Service impeccable ! Large recreation area with gym, tennis courts, spa etc, plus a daily program of events. All hosted away from the oool and beach area so those that want rest and relaxation can certainly find it here. Plenty of wildlife around the hotel grounds , early morning seeing the hornbills and eagles feed is worth a getting up for. Food in the hotel is great, but plenty of restaurants not too far away should you want to venture out. Will definitely return, love this place!

We have just returned after a week here, having been to Penang & Singapore beforehand. I was a little concerned before we came here as some reviews indicated the hotel was run down etc. This is not true- our room was immaculate, housekeeping were amazing. We didn’t notice any area of the hotel which was tired. The staff were so friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would say that the food in the restaurants was average though, which was a shame as it’s quite a way into Kuah town to find other restaurants. Breakfast however was very good. There are a couple of restaurants & a bar at the Yacht club- walkable- but they are very much aimed at westerners so didn’t appeal to us really. Grab worked ok to get into Kuah but as a bit sketchy coming back. We would recommend the hotel, especially having been around the island & seeing that other hotels are quite remote. Mangrove tour with Dev’s was a great experience. We hired a driver for the day as well who took us around the island which was a lovely day.
