My room had all the facilities I expected. Charmingly decorated in the Italian style. Breakfast was buffet style and had a wide selection.

Fantastic location, the staff on reception were brilliant, breakfast was a little disappointing but I'd still recommend the hotel.

Breakfast - the breads were very poor, other aspects were generally fine but the hot breakfast was disappointing. However, cereals, fruits, pastries and yoghurts were all excellent as was the coffee!

The staff was very friendly and the structure was charming and full of character. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a suite upgrade, which was communicated to us as soon as we arrived.

The property has a lot of potential. Modernizing a few details could make a significant difference to the experience. Adding some smart tvs, offering a little more variety in the minibar, and updating the rooms in general would be terrific. Personally I found it a little unusual that the suit didn't have a balcony or more traditionally sized windows, as the windows were quite small and positioned high up on the wall. The only real downside was the difficulty of finding parking nearby, which can be inconvenient if you are traveling by car.

Weibliches Personal am Empfang war ausgezeichnet und hat einen sehr guten Service geleistet. Hat Ausflug und verschieden Restaurants empfohlen und zuverlässig reserviert.

Zimmer war zu klein und nicht wirklich sauber. Doppelbett war kein Doppelbett, sondern zwei zusammengeschobene Einzelbetten. Frühstücksbuffet benötigt mehr und bessere Früchte. Personal wirkt sehr unmotiviert. Männliches Personal am Empfang wusste nicht immer Bescheid.

Location was outstanding, in the middle of city center. Close to all historical monuments. Room was good size, fairly clean and breakfast was supernice.

I had a lovely stay at Il Principe Hotel. The location in the historic center is beautiful, but what truly made my visit memorable was the outstanding service and food. The Staff: The entire team was exceptionally professional and welcoming, especially Giacomo, Francesca and Roberta. Check-in was quick and easy, and the reception desk went out of their way to provide helpful tips for navigating the city. The Breakfast: The morning buffet was brilliant! There was an excellent selection of fresh pastries, cheeses, and fruits as well as eggs and bacon!!! Pairing the delicious breakfast food with a perfectly made, authentic Italian cappuccino was the absolute best way to start each day .Between the fantastic morning spread and the warm hospitality, I felt right at home. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

L'hôtel est très bien placé en plein centre de Catane. La chambre très confortable avec climatisation très appréciée. Propreté impeccable. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner très varié avec des produits de qualité.

Vue inexistante sur une petite cour lugubre. Pas de cendriers disponibles à l'extérieur (entrée de l'hôtel). Prenez vos cendriers portables !!!

La stanza molto piccola ma soprattutto senza una vista nè sulla città nè su un cortile gradevole. La mancanza di un interruttore per il controllo dell'illuminazione della stanza dal letto (era necessario alzarsi per accendere la luce di lettura). Una sola presa disponibile nella stanza per l'alimentazione della corrente al fine di permettere la ricarica di cellulari e PC (che andava pertanto alternata).

Everything. Not value for money, dirty, dust everywhere needs a good sanitation and update.

The location.

The room was full of dust. The furniture is dated and not well maintained. The bed sheet was ruptured and on top of everything we found some bugs both on the bed headboard and on the bathroom tile. We tried to identify the type of bugs using Google as we were afraid not to be bedbugs. Not clear as we smashed them before. Anyhow, we had to disinfec all our clothes and luggages just to be sure we don't bring back home such "souvenirs". Not a good experience for us and I do not recommend this hotel even if the location is grear and the reception personnel was very nice.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sehr fair! Das Frühstück super und die Lage wie auch das Zimmer waren Super!

This hotel is AWFUL. Very dirty, a lot of black mold, WiFi and AC issues, and then extremely unprofessional management. Truly worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Location is excellent nearby the attractive area and Catania University. Breakfast is typical italian.

It is so difficult to connect to internet through WiFi. I couldn't work using WiFi and even sent message from handphone. The temperature (the room is at 4th floor) is high so that I couldn't sleep well. I complained for several times, nobody solved the problem.

Le stanze sono decisamente troppo buie e le luci non funzionavano tutte, il che rende tutto ancora più scuro. La qualità del cibo della colazione era molto buona, ma devo fare un appunto importante sulle bevande. Il cappuccino con il latte a lunga conservazione non è possibile che sia proposto in un hotel italiano di questo livello. Per me questo pregiudica molto il giudizio sulla colazione purtroppo

The location was amazing and the staff really professional.

I booked a three‑bedroom, and the single bed was a sofa bed that was very uncomfortable. The mattress was nearly nonexistent and I could feel the springs against my back, so I couldn’t sleep properly. In addition, the bed sheet was not clean and the toilet brush was dirty. Breakfast was disappointing: there was very little choice and the quality was poor. It would have been better to go to a local bar, which would probably be cheaper and much higher quality. Overall the rooms need maintenance, especially the bathroom area where the bath was heavily scratched and the ceiling vent was barely attached. Considering this is a four‑star hotel, I found the experience very disappointing. The staff were very professional and polite, and they acknowledged my complaints.

DO NOT BOOK. 1 star for the reasonable location. Rest all is totally avoidable. Dirty bathrooms, poor maintenance, dirty floors & carpets. Looks like it survives only on tour groups which are there just for 1 night.

Do not stay here!! The lobby looks ok but the rooms are nasty. The shower door literally fell on top of me during my shower, the bathroom is dirty- and I mean dirty- smells like old urine. The beds are hard as rocks. The whole place needs a makeover. 4 stars is a joke!

I stayed here 4 nights with an OAT small group tour. They claim to be a 4 star hotel. I would give them 3 stars at best. Dated rooms, mold on the bathtub caulking, thin/non-existent pillows. They claimed to have a rooftop terrace, but the door to the terrace was locked and even the door handle was missing. WiFi was unusable in my room and even the reception. If you need reliable internet access don’t stay here. The hotel has many rooms with one small elevator. We had 5 people in the elevator and the door opened between floors. Frightening. If guests are going to multiple floors once someone presses a floor number it goes there first. If someone ahead of you hits the 3rd floor and you are on the 2nd you’re stuck going up to 3rd before the elevator even allows you to press 2. The only redeeming factors were an excellent location and good breakfast.

La posizione è davvero ottima per visitare tutta la parte centrale di Catania. Inoltre l’hotel pur essendo in pieno centro è molto tranquillo, senza rumori stradali o altri.

Il bagno della nostra camera è tra i più piccoli che abbia mia trovato. Impossibile entrare in due e anche da solo lo spazio tra il lavandino e i servizi è a dir poco minimo. Certamente non in bagno che dovrebbe avere un 4 stelle.

this hotel is in a really good spot and we were lucky to have parking right at the hotel.

The air conditioner was not on. We opened the windows but I did feel comfortable with that.

Only the location the rest was very disappointing.

The toilet tank is leaking and making noise. We asked them to fix it, but unfortunately they couldn't, and no one came the next day. There was no room to turn around in the shower. It was full of dust and dirt. Room number 306

Os funcionários foram excelentes, e a localização não podia ser melhor. O centro histórico estava logo ali, e apesar da agitação do centro da cidade o hotel era sossegado.

A limpeza do quarto não primava pelo desejável. Estivemos no hotel por duas vezes e na primeira vez o quarto não estava convenientemente limpo (lixo no chão e pó nos moveis). Tive que chamar a atenção da receção para a situação, e o pedido foi atendido. O corredor de acesso aos quartos estavam igualmente pouco limpos. O quarto tinha dimensões exíguas, e a colcha da cama apresentava um grau considerável de degradação. Na segunda estadia o quatro já era maior, e já estava um pouco mais limpo. Por outro lado penso que o pequeno almoço deveria ser até às 10:30 horas e não até às 10. Este pormenor dá sempre jeito para quem está de férias e que não se quer submeter a grandes stress matinais, que era o nosso caso.

Superficially plush with lots of marble. Meals are breakfast only, waiters busy setting tables but not clearing them, and strangely, table spoons are never laid on the dining table. No USB charging points in any bedroom. You have to unplug a light. Breakfast is ample and the coffee good though cups are not warmed so it goes tepid quickly. Beds comfortable, if hard, and pillows thin. Good restaurants in surrounding alleys. Access is difficult as main door is up a very narrow street at the foot of steps leading to the next street. Reception staff do their best and are nice people.

My shower had mold in the corners and the doors did not close completely and the water leaked out onto the floor. The bed was not comfortable.

La struttura è in un palazzo d'epoca, di charme. La zona è centrale, anche se non sulle strade principali, e molto comoda. Le stanze sono ampie e luminose, complessivamente piacevoli. Lo consiglio.

La colazione è molto buona ma semplice. Forse qualche alternativa in più non guasterebbe. Comunque i prodotti freschi sono di buona qualità ed anche il caffè era buono.
