das Personal war wirklich sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Auch die Lage des Hotels mitten im Geschehen, war super.

das Frühstück war nicht gut. zb Kein frisch gepresster Orangensaft, die Auswahl an salzigen Speisen war sehr klein. Nur mit den Mehlspeisen konnte das Frühstück punkten. Die Unterkunft ist seht hellhörig. Immer wenn jemand die Zimmertür zumachte krachte es in unserem Zimmer. Wir waren im 1. Stock untergebracht, neben dem Serviceroom und ständig ging dort das Personal ein und aus und das schon in der Früh. Viel zu laut um auszuschlafen bzw ruhig zu schlafen. Schade um das Hotel, abet wir kommen leider nicht mehr.

Just back from our 3rd stay. We first visited in 2022 and it's lovely to see that several staff members are still there in 2026. Lovely clean room on the 4th floor. Breakfast and lunch were fabulous. Swimming pool so peaceful and relaxing. Piazzo Tasso on the doorstep with great restaurants. Will be back again soon for another stay.

Although our request for a room away from the elevator was not fulfilled, our stay was almost perfect. The reception/concierge staff were extremely polite and helpful with all our questions during our time. The pool and breakfast team including Rocco, Salvatore, and Nobody (yes, his name) were excellent and went above and beyond. Amazing people and exceptional service. The Comfort Room was the perfect size for a couple. Very clean and maintained daily. The hotel pool was a fantastic retreat from the heat (oppressive August heat). The hotel location is absolutely perfect with the main piazza for shopping and dining literally 2 minutes walking distance. The breakfast buffet had everything from eggs to pastries to coffee to fruit. One thing to note, water and soft drinks in your mini-bar are not free, whereas other places we stayed in Italy they were complimentary. My reviews are always listed to give travelers my honest perspective. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had an absolutely excellent stay at Hotel Antiche Mura in Sorrento. From start to finish, everything was wonderful. The rooms were beautiful, extremely clean, and very well maintained. Housekeeping did an amazing job throughout our stay, and the entire hotel always felt spotless. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. The bartender was especially amazing and made our time at the hotel even more enjoyable. The level of service from the entire team was exceptional. The location is also perfect. You are right in the heart of Sorrento and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, and everything you would want to see, while the hotel itself still feels relaxing and comfortable. We genuinely have zero complaints. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would stay here again without hesitation. Highly recommend!

The pool was perfect and the rooms large and clean. All the rooms were decorated differently and that added to the charm. Location was perfect for restaurants, shopping and the marina.

An Absolutely Magical Family Stay at Antiche Mura Hotel Our family recently stayed at Antiche Mura Hotel in Sorrento with a group of 9 adults and 11 children, ranging in age from 6 to 17, and I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was terrific. Everyone was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Traveling with such a large group—and so many children—can be challenging, but the staff made everything feel effortless. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and cared for. The hotel itself was simply magical. It has such a beautiful, special atmosphere that made our stay in Sorrento even more memorable. Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our time there, and the hotel became one of the highlights of our trip. It is rare to find a place that works so wonderfully for both adults and children, but Antiche Mura truly exceeded our expectations. With a group of 20 people, we were amazed at how smoothly everything went and how genuinely happy everyone was. We absolutely loved Antiche Mura Hotel and would return in a heartbeat. If you are traveling to Sorrento with family—especially a large family group—this hotel should be at the very top of your list. Thank you to the entire staff for helping make our family trip so incredibly special and unforgettable!

I vårt tilfelle var ikke rommet så bra. Det var lite og det var ikke vindu eller utsikt. Sengene var gode, men litt smale ettersom vi skulle ha to separerte senger. Men, det er det eneste vi kan utsette noe på. Alt annet var helt fantastisk

Absolutely fantastic hotel! The team are brilliant - big shout outs to Rocco, Nobody and Fabio who were superstars! Brilliant hotel for central base, gorg rooms, lovely pool, great breakfast with amazing coffee and cakes….that are too hard to resist! Got ferries to Naples and Capri and trips in people carrier to Pompei, Positano, Amalfi, ravello and the lagoon. So happy I chose to celebrate my 50th here! Thank you all!

Beautiful Hotel and grounds. The rooms are lovely and the pool is amazing. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The terrace for our room had stunning views. We were in town during the Festa di Sant'Anna and even saw the fireworks from our terrace - a nice treat! Highly recommend!

Lokalita hotelu byla skvělá. Příjemné okolí kolem bazénu mezi citronovníky a v bazénu byla čistá voda. Velký prostorný pokoj s vysokým stropem.

Velmi špinavé a staré koberce na mramorových chodbách hotelu - ty vyložně degradují interiér. Na pokojích je slyšet hluk z okolních pokojů. Snídaně není typická italská, je tu znát přizpůsobení klientele z Velké Británie bohužel a je tu mizerný výběr slaného pečiva. Na to že je hotel v Sorrentu u Neapole tak bychom očekávali typické pečivo pro tuto oblast.

We’re still here sitting under the lemon trees by the pool. I’m a fussy and particular traveler. We work hard for our salaries and expect to get what we pay for which sadly doesn’t often happen. However, this hotel, the service, the staff, the cleanliness and the food is second to none! It’s utter bliss and Sorrento itself is both quaint and beautiful with something to suit every taste. Thank you staff for being wonderful and we ABSOLUTELY will return.

We have just returned from our second visit to the Antiche Mura in Sorrento and had another great holiday. If you are going to Sorrento and want to be at its heart this will be an ideal hotel for you. Some hotels claim to be in Sorrento but you can be left with quite a walk to get to the centre. This hotel is only a hundred metres or so from the main square, Piazza Tasso and considering how close it is to the centre, it’s amazing how peaceful the garden/pool area is at the rear of the hotel. There you can lounge in full sun or under the shade of a range of fruit trees. The hotel reception staff are friendly and very helpful. The hotel offers a good buffet style breakfast and we were really pleased to see some familiar faces from our previous visit. All the staff at breakfast are excellent and it was good to see Rocco, Salvatore and Antonio again along with a few new people, another Antonio, Marika and Francesca. All helped make our stay really special. After breakfast the lads double up around the pool bar making sure that everybody is well looked after. Again, it was good to see Viviana here and another new face Pasquale. For your quiet, peaceful days in-between any site seeing you may want to do, relax by the pool and you will be well catered for. Also, a big thank you to ‘Nobody’ in the hotel ’Nobodys’ bar who kept the drinks coming along with some good conversation 😊 Grazie a tutti, speriamo di rivedervi presto.

Absolutely everything about our stay at this hotel was phenomenal. Our room, the pool, the service, the staff, oh the location. And we were travelling with 2 toddlers, so it can be difficult. But we already know when we come back to Sorrento, this is the only place we will stay.

In die Jahre gekommen und abgewohnt, muffiger Klimaanlagengeruch, hatten ein Zimmer mit Kellerfenster gleich neben dem Frühstücksraum, dadurch war es etwas laut. Muss aber positiv anmerken, dass uns ein Tausch auf Nachfrage auch angeboten wurde, allerdings war das Zimmer noch kleiner und der muffige Geruch war derselbe, sodass wir nicht getauscht haben.

The hotel was everything we could of asked for. The front desk and staff at breakfast were wonderful. We liked how central the hotel was to the rest of town and the rooms were very clean .

We have just spent 11 glorious nights at this hotel - the location, just off Piazza Tasso is perfect. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, special mention to Rocco who managed the breakfast service. Our room overlooked the front of the hotel with a small but lovely balcony on which we spent time sipping wine and appreciating the view. The weather was very hot so the pool was very welcome, and never felt too busy and it was easy to find a sunbed, even later in the day. Pool towels are provided daily at the pool bar. The sunbeds could have been comfier. The pool bar had food available for purchase at lunch time if you don't want to venture out in the heat and the pool was perfect. There are lemon and orange trees surrounding the pool area and tiny lizards running around. Our comfort room was in the main building and there are also some rooms in a separate annex by the pool

The location is great. From the train/bus station it's a 5 min walk. To the port (for ferries and boat excurions) it's about 12 minutes - it's a pretty big descent down and then up on the way back - which isn't a problem and definitely not an issue that reflects on the hotel. Just good to know. Lots of restaurants around and Sorrento is I'm sure super great to wander in. I just stayed one night so didn't get to expeirence anything other than staying in the hotel and taking the ferry to Positano and the next day a boat excusion with a small group to Capri. Breakfast was good. The pool is good - it does close at 730pm. Every interaction with the staff was great, too. The bed was surprisigly comfortable. I think the overall value in Peak season is reasonable.

Europe in general with these 4 star ratings is overstated. Coming from North America I would look at this as more of a 3 star type accomodation. Little things. The shower setup is weird and didn't drain properly, and when you get out there's so much water outside the shower area in the bathroom. To no conditioner in the shower. I get it. We're in Italy and it's not something usually provided. But still.

We went to Sorrento for a wedding and spent 4 nights at the Antiche Mura. Everything about it was just perfect. When you step into reception you just know it's going to be something special. The service. The staff. The room. The outdoor area's. It's hard to make sure you cover everything, but we genuinely couldn't fault it.

Whats to say about this wonderful, perfectly positioned Hotel with wonderfully helpful and professional Staff? It is beautifully Italian, with its Marbled Reception and Tiled Floors, comfortable air-conditioned Rooms with comfortable beds. Calm Breakfasts overseen by the unflappable Rocco and his ever obliging team. Carried over to the Pool Side bar. The Pool. Set in a Lemon and Orange Grove it has a Jaccusi function and in general is a peaceful area in which you can relax on your Sunbed, either soaking up the Sun or retreating to the dappled shade of the overhanging trees. Beware the falling Lemon or Orange. The Hotel is a short walk to the delights of the busy centre of Sorrento and it's delightful assortment of shops, Restaurants and Cafe Bars. I think I have said enough. Suffice to say we loved this Hotel and it's Staff.

Beautiful hotel,centrally place. Lovely room, clean and well maintained. Housekeeping very friendly and had clean sheets every day even though we didn’t ask for them. Staff very polite and friendly. The outlook from the balcony wasn’t the best but that didn’t matter we were only there for four nights and didn’t spend a lot of time in the room. The garden setting and pool were beautiful and well looked after. Daily breakfast with everything you could want and the staff in the restaurant were very attentive. I would recommend this hotel and would love to return one day

A wonderful hotel situated in the middle of Sorrento, less than a minute from Piazza Tosso. The concierge, reception, housekeeping and hospitality staff were all incredibly warm friendly and helpful.

Excellent location , that’s why we decided to stay this hotel again after 10 years when we returned to Sorrento.

Some staff are not friendly, especially at the site of breakfast facility. We arrived at the hotel earlier and the room is not ready, we talked to reception staff to ask if we can have coffee while waiting for the room. The staff was kind and agreed with our request. We went to the breakfast place and have coffee. My wife had a few pieces of fruit and I had a cup of juice when we were waiting for our Americano coffee . However, the breakfast site manager called someone and we were told we have to pay full breakfast 30 Euros per person. After discussion, finally we had to pay 13 Euros for a cup of juice and a few pieces of fruits. Suddenly my great 10 years’ feeling of this hotel changed.

This hotel is really very good. You cannot beat its location. Just perfect.

I really liked everything. I could maybe just suggest that perhaps a lunch option served in the breakfast room with some shaded umbrellas in the court yard might be good addition one day.

Absolute Dog poo. Building work going on all week so noisey outside the hotel, booked deluxe room got room 602 called concierge as damp & black mould spores were every were ( same catorgory as asbestos ) reception said don’t worry it’s fine by the time we got back to room the manager and concierge manager instructed maintenance to paint over it like we’re fools taking us for mugs, the bedding had to be changed as stink of musky damp smell, the head board to, the single bed was damp to the room stunk of damp, told could not move and damp was gone lol 😂 room 602 facing pool was bad bad, air con broken in room and generator outside the room very loud, so much for a quiet room lol - 4 other couples arguing about no water, water leaks, damp, if you want the videos and pics just say I’ll give to you, the hotel manager admitted due to water a month ago they had serious problems but told me he’d be happy to refund me 20% lol so you no what your doing you deceive me take my money you can see I sleep with oxygen and you keep me in a room because I’m TUI customer not booking direct lol.. at the end of the 9 nights on check out the receptionist chased after me to get me to come back and pay for a packet of press out of the mini bar at €3.50 so enjoy that, you deceived TUI, they checked us out after four days of lying to us into the room we were supposed to have the American couple were seen arguing at reception as they to saw damp and mould in room 602 and were moved lol, another couple had no air con. The block above the pool above room 602 has serious issues with damp and mould and water or no water lol, hotel manager quick to start of saying no one else has complained but I have five members of staff on video saying otherwise lol so clearly full of it. When you’re paying close to £11000 you want the best.. 4 star plus this is not, location cool, concierge tried pulling my pants down they advertise local tours get a cut pay cash no cards excepted and we all no why, on the tour you learn will cost you a further £35 each cash for a private tour away from the bus by this time you realise if you don’t take the private tours you see were your dropped off in the boats and the length of the walk by the time you get to the top and back the ferry will be gone.. and plenty people missed it. Still want to stay in this hotel? We met some great staff in kitchen, by pool but concierge were crooks in three piece suits, they didn’t care. Chaps in nobody bar were great to I found the concierge untrustworthy unprofessional and absolute crooks, they lied through there teeth, one said some thing the other said something else, I gave one of them €100 to tell me the truth lol and he took it lol how stupid ( used to play football ) they all think there in the mafia. The single bed was broken, the bed stunk of mould and damp we were upset as had to sleep with the front door open as smell was awful which was a risk to our safety.. not bad for a four star plus right …! No dry cleaning or washing service on weekend they say there is on listing but is not, before I booked this trip TUI called hotel booking check can get a x firm mattress they said yes, concierge laughed in my face and said why would you want an extra firm mattress I replied because this hotel confirmed I’d get one and mattresses come with weight limits? Concierge soon stopped laughing then - for someone who works in four star should no that.. the room was not clean the, pictures of the deluxe room I was in will have you shocked seriously, the finishing on tiles omg also no end caps on metal plinths in shower so cut your fingers getting out of shower! Broken bathroom window lol.. no anti slip mat in bathroom tub, no chins cups in guest room, no milk, no tea just two sachets of coffee no herbal teas. Paid for a private taxi home had to share with two other couples one couple had flu. After four days and moved finally to a delux had to wait 7 / 8 hours in reception/ nobody bar for a room so whole day wasted no complimentary water or tea - absolutely nothing. Shockingly crappy from this hotel. Female member of staff praised me for speaking the truth as hotel management have so many problems there. Broken AC and noisey. Council flats facing the pool constantly endless shouting arguing from flats facing the pool nothing to do with hotel it’s bad bad. Don’t be fooled like we were. Manager on video admitting and apologising for damp mould after he realised I had pics and vids tried wriggling out of it but could not, offers me silly 20% back I’ll post videos and pics and tell hotel shove there 20% I’d rather cripple there reputation as we all no videos pictures don’t lie. But this hotel does and took so many Americans and English for fools so many people kicking off and complaining lol

Everything about this hotel was amazing. The breakfast had me eating when I wasnt even hungry because the food was so good. The Staff was very attentive and took care of our every need. I would definitely come here again and will recommend this place every time.

My wife and I spent six nights at this wonderful hotel right in the heart of Sorrento. It’s one block from the main Square and the pedestrian friendly avenue with tons of shops and Restaurants. It’s also about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the marina to catch the ferries for day trips to Capri, and the Amalfi Coast cities, and other destinations. The rooms were large and clean, we were in 604 which has a small balcony facing out into the alleyway. We liked being in this room (which is actually on the second floor) because it was on the same level as the pool and garden and snack bar. Very convenient. The included morning breakfast was spectacular and the outdoor pool and garden marvelous. After a long day of exploring, coming back to a beautiful pool for an afternoon swim was so refreshing and enjoyable. I already mentioned the location is perfect. There are literally hundreds of shops and restaurants in the area of the hotel. When we return to Sorrento, we will make this hotel our homebase again. And check out the photos.

This hotel exceeded all my expectations. On arrival we were kindly upgraded and our room near the pool (603b) was absolutely beautiful. So spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel website really doesn't do this hotel justice, it's far better! Breakfast is wonderful with such a good selection and you can choose to sit inside or outside. The pool area is immaculate in amongst the lemon trees and the pool bar service, drinks and food are fabulous. Perfect location too. Overall I would give this hotel 11/10 and I can't wait to return.

Nice hotel with the cutest little but comfy balconies. You can't beat the location ! Perfect! The pool area is very nice, however the pool loungers are those with strings. Very uncomfortable. 30 mins in a lounger and you need a chiropractor. Not sure why Sorrento hotels use these Italian sunbeds as most of the hotel guest are from abroad. We stay 3 days and every single day almost every guest complained about the loungers. You just can't sit in them properly and forget sitting by the pool and reading your book. Breakfast was good, they give you your own coffee pot which we appreciated however every day the eggs were cold.

This is a beautiful hotel located just one block from Sorrento's main square, making it the perfect location for exploring the town. The rooms are fresh, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. What truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional staff—they are friendly, kind, and always willing to help. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sorrento.

We stayed in this excellent hotel for a week. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and first class service. The garden and pool area are beautiful, shaded by lovely orange and lemon trees. A snack lunch there is a very enjoyable experience.

The facilities, food, comfort, cleanliness, and especially the attention from the staff were excellent and made the stay very enjoyable.

Hotel Antiche Mura was an excellent base for exploring Sorrento. The location is difficult to fault — close enough to the centre to walk everywhere easily, while still feeling calm and comfortable. The room itself was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything maintained to a high standard. The hotel offers parking, which is a major advantage in Sorrento, although drivers should be aware that the parking spaces are extremely tight — very much in keeping with driving in historic Italian towns. Service overall was very good, particularly on our first day, and the hotel clearly runs efficiently. While the experience can feel slightly more impersonal than a smaller boutique guesthouse, that is perhaps expected in a larger hotel setting. Even so, the quality of the accommodation, excellent position, and overall value for money make it easy to recommend. A very enjoyable stay and an ideal location for seeing the best of Sorrento.

While Hotel Antiche Mura has many strengths, there were a few aspects that prevented the stay from feeling truly exceptional. The biggest issue was that the experience could feel somewhat impersonal at times. Unlike smaller guesthouses or family-run accommodation, it occasionally felt more like being processed through a large hotel than being personally welcomed as a guest. Service was also inconsistent. On our first day, staff were attentive and helpful, but on the second day it became difficult to get the attention of the barman, and the reception experience felt noticeably less warm. One receptionist in particular came across as rather surly and not especially welcoming. The parking, although very useful, is exceptionally tight and may be stressful for less confident drivers. It is manageable, but definitely something guests should be prepared for before arriving. None of these issues ruined the stay, but they did take away slightly from what is otherwise a very well-located and comfortable hotel.

Hotel Antiche Mura is awesome. It is a very elegant place. I am very impressed by the cleanliness, the excellent attitude of the people, the interior,exterior, everything. The garden is outrages- so nice to realx among the lemons. It was extremely clean. A good impression made the flowers all over the hotel. The hotel is situated in perfect area - close to the city center, the railway station, the bust stops for Amalfi coast ,etc. It was quiet and easy to relax. The food was perfect - there was a great variety on breakfast. All stuff was very helpful and polite. Thank you!

The hotel was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was fantastic. It is very clean and the service was excellent. The location was also great - it was easy to walk to restaurants and shopping. I can’t wait to stay there again!

The hotel was in the perfect location, the staff were very helpful, welcoming and the hotel was clean and comfortable. We needed a doctor when we were there and the staff helped arrange things and we had a visit within 45 minutes. I would stay here again.

We arrived late in the evening without a reservation, but the staff warmly welcomed us and offered a perfect family room at a very good rate. The hotel’s location in Sorrento is fantastic, which made us decide to extend our stay. Despite being quite busy, the team went above and beyond to accommodate us, arranging the best available family and connected rooms for our three-night stay. Excellent location tucked away off the main square and a five minute walk from the station (easy to pull suitcases along the road). There is a lovely garden with orange and lemon trees and seating. Breakfast was very good and nice to sit outside in the morning sunshine.

If being picky - some of the towels were a bit thin and the coffee/tea provided could be a bit more generous.

We spent a week at this excellent hotel. It is quiet but just 5 minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento. We had a lovely room overlooking the garden and pool and each morning awoke to the beautiful sight of lemon and orange trees. The room was bright and really comfortable with a large bathroom. A major plus was the fantastic breakfast, varied and with daily changes. Savoury or sweet there were so many tempting offerings! Rocco and his team looked after breakfast so well - really friendly and professional. Also thank you to the staff at reception, who were very helpful throughout our stay. Oh, and we mustn't forget Mr Nobody and his bar - nobody does it better....
