We were very kindly given a free upgrade which was so lovely! The reception and the dining staff were great, they made us feel so welcome! The bathroom and room were clean and seemed recently renovated. The hotel is so perfectly located. We loved our stay! We bought a piece of ceramic artwork from the glass cabinet to commemorate our stay ❤️

The hotel upgraded our room for my husbands birthday. The location was fantastic. The hotel was spotless and most of the staff were great.

You couldnt use cash on the rooftop terrace. One of the staff there was very stroppy and banged doors etc especially bad on one particular day. We had to ask for toilet roll and clean bath towels on an occasion and our tea and coffee in the room was not replaced when we used it to be fair we are all human and it was probably just forgotten so no big deal.

They even upgraded our room, which made the experience feel extra special. We felt truly taken care of throughout our stay. We would definitely come back and highly recommend this hotel!

L'hotel è spettacolare curato sotto molti aspetti, lo staff è molto efficiente e accogliente, la piscina offre una veduta dall'alto di Sorrento e della costiera Amalfitana. Il ristorante offre piatti tipici del luogo, molto appetitosi.

Il costo del parcheggio dell'hotel mi è sembrato eccessivo per gli ospiti, 30 € a notte per un soggiorno di una settimana influisce molto sul costo totale del soggiorno.

Great location, walking distance from train to central town to ferry. Beautiful rooftop pool which we needed during the hot summer with beautiful views over the bay of Naples.

Superb hotel close to the train station and within easy reach of all that Sorrento has to offer. The reception staff were very welcoming and let us leave our luggage until our room was available as we arrived early. The room was very spacious, with tea/coffee making facilities as was the bathroom complete with toiletries and slippers.The only negative was the fridge only kept our water tepid not cold. The breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold food and the restaurant manager we very attentive to our needs. We booked half board which surpassed our expectations with a daily change of menu and outstanding food. The rooftop pool was very welcoming and never overcrowded.

Location is excellent and close to everything. Room was lovely and very comfortable.

This hotel is in the perfect location of you are new to Sorrento and dont want to walk too far. Its minutes walk to the centre where all the bars and restaurants are and about 5 minutes walk to the lifts down to the beach. The hotel is nicely decorated and very clean throughout. Check in was relatively easy and we were shown to very basic but clean rooms. The rooms were quite dated and there was some paint peeling on the bathroom floor. However, they were cleaned daily and towels were replaced. There were also some nice toiletries. Unfortunately, there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room which is annoying especially if you just wanted to chill in your room after a busy day. Breakfast was nice. Buffet did have sausages, beans and scrambled egg but a couple of times the container holding these was left opened and the eggs were cold. There were a few cereals, selection of cheese and cold meats, yogurt, honey and bread. The cakes and paistry choice was fabulous and tasted amazing. Breakfast operated really well and food was replenished regularly. We ate a few times from the lunch menu and it was enjoyable. The coffee was really nice. We had drinks at both the rooftop bar and the downstairs club and they were enjoyable and fairly priced. The rooftop pool area had amazing views, really beautiful wiyh a really nice lounge and pretty outdoor seating area. However, the pool area is dissapointingly small for the size of the hotel and could be doing with an upgrade. Its supposed to open at 10am and we had to call twice to ask for it to be opened when it was still closed at 1025 am. It became over crowded and really noisy very quickly. Not the place to enjoy a relaxing swim. The one thing that I didnt enjoy is that you cant take food or drink in. Which is quite difficult if you are going to a trip the next day. There are signs every where that tell you this and I was worried about even taking a bottle of water in to sip during the night when it is hot. Its very off putting. Overall, a good hotel for the location, basic rooms, tiny pool. Decent breakfast with nice areas to enjoy a relaxing few drinks.

The hotel is in a great location, we were upgraded to a better room, we really enjoyed the rooftop bar, and the breakfast was excellent. We certanily would come back again.

Unfortunately, we only spent one day at the hotel, and during this time, we didn't manage to try the rooftop swimming pool and sun loungers. When we arrived on the afternoon of our first day, there were no free chairs. The next morning, instead of 9:00 AM, they only opened around 10:30 AM, claiming that the employee responsible for opening the rooftop terrace didn't show up. Since we had to check out at 11:00 AM, we sadly missed out on this experience. A hotel of this size has many employees; there should be a solution to replace someone if they fail to show up.

Stayed at here for our 25th wedding anniversary. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the bar staff were amazing and incredibly helpful, especially the bar manager and the housekeeping was outstanding. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and attentive, which made our special anniversary even more memorable. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this hotel!

Superb hotel!. Amazing location with piazza Tasso literally a short walk away through the back exit of the gardens of the hotel. Roof top pool and snack bar a retreat from the hustle and bustle below. Staff over and beyond helpful. Would 💯% recommend this hotel and will definitely be revisiting.

Siamo rimasti veramente soddisfatti del nostro soggiorno! La struttura è pulitissima e la posizione è semplicemente eccezionale: si trova a due passi dal centro e vicinissima a qualsiasi cosa possa servire. La via in cui è situato l'hotel offre davvero di tutto; proprio lì a pochi passi abbiamo potuto prendere il treno, il pullman e persino noleggiare uno scooter per muoverci in totale comodità. Lo staff e la reception sono stati eccezionali per tutta la durata della vacanza. Un gesto che abbiamo apprezzato tantissimo è stato l'upgrade gratuito: dato che era rimasta disponibile, ci hanno assegnato una camera ancora più bella di quella che avevamo prenotato! Anche il cibo è stato di ottimo livello e il servizio impeccabile: i camerieri sono stati fantastici, sempre cordiali e amichevoli ma allo stesso tempo estremamente formali ed eleganti. In sintesi, è stato un soggiorno perfetto grazie a un personale attento, gentile e a una posizione strategica

The pool wasn’t designed for not so young people. Couldn’t get in or out on the ladders. Especially after falling and getting stuck.and boy that pool was needed in July.

Dit hotel verdient de hoogste quotering. De ontvangst was hartelijk. Er werden ons 2 up-grade kamers aangeboden die pas gerenoveerd waren. Bovendien kregen we een allen een gratis prosecco aangeboden. De kamers zijn zeer netjes en werden dagelijks gekuist. s' Avonds werden bovendien de bedden open gespreid en de gordijnen gesloten. De airco zowel op de kamer als in het hele hotel werkt prima. Het ontbijt is erg uitgebreid. Meer dan keuze genoeg. Het zwembad boven op het dak is groot genoeg en de aangrenzende bar best aangenaam. Speciale lof verdient de volledige personeelsploeg. Ze zijn de ganse dag in de weer om het iedereen zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Het hotel wordt zowel binnen als buiten constant onderhouden. Zelden een hotel ervaren dat er zo proper bij ligt. Ook enkele initiatieven zijn noemenswaardig. Zo was er op vrijdagavond boven op het dak live muziek te horen (spijtig genoeg met te weinig publiek) en is er ook de zogenaamde CLUB om 's avonds nog een glaasje te drinken. Ook hier weer alles vernieuwd en netjes. De locatie van het hotel is prima om het mooie Sorrento-centrum te ontdekken (2 minuten wandelen) en ook als uitvalbasis voor uitstappen via trein (vlakbij ligt het station) of boot heeft het hotel een prima ligging.

My family loved this hotel! The rooms were great, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff was very friendly!

This hotel is ideally placed close to the train station which is our preferred method of travel allowing full exploration of the area as well as being handily placed for Sorento itself. The accommodation is excellent decoratively the bedrooms and the common areas and the air conditioning was really efficient offering welcome relief from the Italian sun. The breakfast was excellent in terms of quality and choice, bar and lunch prices were very reasonable and again the quality was first class. However, the best thing about this hotel are the staff everyone we met and dealt with were top notch, super friendly really helpful, there was a genuine warmth to the customer service

The hotel was beautiful. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely. It was in a great location for town. The staff in the dining area and cleaners were very kind.

Our stay ended with an incredibly disappointing experience that overshadowed our entire trip. The hotel food didn't have a lot of options and tasted bad. You can hear the rooms next door from your room from how thin the walls are. Small rooms, no AC, bad service, rude staff. There are bugs everywhere. I notified the lobby I found bugs in my room/shower/bed and they ignored my complaint. Quiet hotel but the staff are all rude and cold. Our rental car, which was brand new and undamaged when we arrived, remained parked in the hotel’s parking lot for four days. When we returned to it before leaving, we discovered multiple large dents on both sides. The hotel showed us security footage from our arrival that showed the car entering without visible damage. However, when we asked to review footage from the day the damage was discovered, they refused to provide it. During the discussion, the manager recorded new videos of the damaged vehicle and then attempted to use those videos to argue the damage had already existed. One manager acknowledged that the hotel was responsible, but other staff members immediately contradicted him and refused to accept responsibility. Throughout the discussion, we felt disrespected. We were laughed at, called “stupid Americans,” and our concerns were dismissed. We also noticed that the rental car had significantly less fuel than when it was parked. The situation took so long that we felt our time was being unnecessarily wasted while we were trying to catch our flight. Despite everything, the hotel refused to accept responsibility and instead expected us to cover the cost of repairing the damage. Aside from this, the hotel itself was disappointing. The rooms were very small, there was no air conditioning, the food was poor enough that we chose to eat elsewhere throughout our stay, and the online photos did not accurately represent the property. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend staying here. I hope future guests are aware of what happened to us before deciding to book.

All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was great with a wide selection of food. Good location. An easy walk to the centre. A big shout out to Sebastiano who was extremely helpful when I had a dental emergency.

Cet établissement n’est pas à la hauteur de ses prétentions. Le personnel est exécrable. Nous avons attendu une demi-heure pour effectuer notre check in. Plutôt que se répartir la clientèle, le personnel se concentre à plusieurs sur un seul et même client, l’un effectuant le check in et l’autre regardant. Cette attitude est peu professionnelle. Aucun rafraîchissement offert malgré la chaleur et la longue attente. Le wifi est déplorable et ne fonctionne pas. La salle de bain mérite un bon rafraîchissement

We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and housekeeping was exceptional. Our room was cleaned twice a day, and the towels were changed regularly, which made our stay even more comfortable. The restaurant staff and waiters were outstanding, always friendly, professional, attentive, and smiling. They made every meal a pleasure. Thank you to the entire team for your hospitality. We truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return.

Hotel was exceptionally clean and in an excellent location. It was just a short walk to the train station, the bus station, the shops, and the beach. The hotel was quiet and very well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety of delicious options. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The rooftop pool and bar were great. We got a room upgrade upon arrival which was fantastic. A stunning, large & modern room this made all the difference to our stay as we stayed 11 nights here. Very friendly staff! The hotel is very central too.

I think the cleaner didn’t fully understand me which is fair as we had a language barrier! I asked her one day not to clean the room and the following 2 days when I met her I said do clean it but she didn’t for 3 days I think she misunderstood. After talking to reception it was resolved! The rooftop bar opening for the evening would be great.

Lovely property with a team of amazing staff and great facilities. The staff were very accommodating and always willing to help and the 24 hour concierge desk was extremely useful. The location is very central to the main square and only requires a 2 minute walk, therefore only making it a 5 minute walk to the main sorrento beach. For my family of 5 they were able to offer us an interconnecting room which was extremely clean and well stocked. All of the facilities in the room working properly and extremely hygienic. There is a vast number of options at breakfast even providing options for vegetarians. There is also underground parking at this property although it has an additional charge of 30 euro per day but provided a safe place to park our car.

The only improvements I could suggest would be to interchange options at breakfast or even including an omelette bar. Also, possibly including halal options at breakfast and the restaurant since there were none in the area that we could fine and we noticed a vast number of Muslims in the area.

We had a nice stay at this hotel staff were very nice and helpful at anytime, the rooms are clean and spacious and they have connecting rooms so it was very great for us as a family, the balconies are also very nice and spacious. there are no Kettle in the rooms though, but they have a free tea and coffee station in the rest area in the ground floor. The location is really good overall, and for tourists coming in a rental car it is outside the ZTL zone you can stop infront of the hotel to unload your luggage and then go to a parking lot near by also outside the ZTL zone, and then you can walk to the center of Sorrento in 1 minute. The elevator seems old and a bit tight but does the job. الفندق و تعامل الموظفين ممتاز، الغرف نظيفة وواسعة، عندهم غرف متصلة الافضل تطلبون منهم قبل الوصول تكون موجوده على حسب التوفر. لا يوجد غلاية داخل الغرف، يوفرون ركن شاي مجاني في الدور الارضي في منطقة استراحة جميلة. المصعد قديم وضيق لكن يؤدي الغرض. الفندق على شارع للسيارات مايحتاج سحب للشناط للوصول للفندق وخارج منطقة الزي تي إل اذا كنتو جايين بسيارة مستأجرة، الفندق عندهم مواقف ب 30 يورو، لكن توجد مواقف قريبة من الفندق جداً وممتازه وبسعر ارخص اذا جالسين اكثر من 3 ايام

Our 3rd stay and it was wonderful after sending a little message to the hotel before our arrival they greeted us with such warmth. Irene on reception was amazing and we were told we had had our room upgraded. The room was stunning and we were even gifted a complimentary bottle of wine from the staff. All staff on reception were brilliant and very helpful a real assist to this hotel. Some changes and upgrades have been made since our last visit and they were just lovely. What is great though is it has not lost its charm and a lot of the original features are still there. The hotel is so immaculate in ever way and in every area. I really cannot fault it. Brilliant roof top pool, lovely food and drinks available whilst you relax and take in the stunning views. Breakfast was brilliant and again the staff were brilliant Thank you to everyone for making our stay so lovely. We will be back next year without a doubt Sarah and Brett :)

This is a beautiful centrally located, fabulously staffed establishment. Honestly, we enjoyed our stay as a family of five and will definitely come back. Well done to the Grande Hotel Cesare Augusto for the warm welcome you gave us, the fabulous breakfast and for general heart and soul you put into our experience.
