A wonderful experience thanks to the people who truly make a difference We had the pleasure of staying at this resort in Egypt together with six of our friends, and our overall experience was a very pleasant one. Beyond the hotel itself and the services provided, what impressed us the most was the attention, dedication, and professionalism of the Guest Relations team, especially Madonna and Kathrin. Throughout our stay, we needed assistance with several different matters, and every single time we received their help, we were met with kindness, promptness, patience, and, most importantly, a genuine desire to make things easier and better for us. They helped us with making a reservation at the à la carte restaurant and also arranged a discreet and lovely surprise in our room for my husband's birthday. It was a beautiful gesture that made the occasion even more special, and we truly appreciated the thought and care that went into it. As I am lactose intolerant, I also needed lactose-free milk, and they were very attentive to this and made sure that I had what I needed throughout our stay. Another small but incredibly thoughtful gesture happened on a day when mango was being served at the hotel. We were away on an excursion with our friends and unfortunately could not enjoy it. Madonna and Kathrin remembered us and arranged for mango to be sent to our room. It may seem like a small gesture, but it meant a lot to us because it showed genuine attention to detail and demonstrated that they truly listened and cared about our wishes. They also noticed and reported to the management some minor issues we experienced with the internet connection at the beach, making sure that the matter was brought to the attention of the appropriate people. On another occasion, due to a personal situation that arose, they also helped us arrange a two-hour late check-out for one of our rooms, which was extremely helpful to us and greatly appreciated. Individually, some of these things may seem like small details. However, it is precisely these details that make the difference between an ordinary stay and one where you genuinely feel welcomed, cared for, and valued as a guest. Madonna and Kathrin are two people who truly deserve recognition and sincere appreciation. They were always kind, attentive, involved, and available whenever we needed them. Every request or concern we had was treated seriously and with genuine care. A hotel can have beautiful rooms, good restaurants, and excellent facilities, but it is the people who create the memories. And Madonna and Kathrin certainly contributed to the wonderful memories we will take home from this vacation. We would like to sincerely thank them for all their help, kindness, and attention towards us and our friends. The property is beautiful and well maintained! Everyone from the receptionists to the managers were incredibly helpful and kind! This is a hotel that takes guest services seriously! The food is excellent at the hotel and the facilities are well maintained and super clean! They have waiters that come around while you’re poolside or beachside to ask you if you’d like anything to eat or drink! Room service ensured the room was always clean and that we always had towels and water! Their services are unbelievably awesome! Mr. Amr in reception, Mr. Mina the general manager, Mr. Ashraf Moh another manager were incredibly welcoming and professional! My son had a medical emergency and they did EVERYTHING they could to make our time easier while we cared for him. There wasn’t a day that passed by that they didn’t call the room to ask about him, offer to make food that he can eat post surgery or check on my family.

Check-in was quick and seamless, and the service felt very personal throughout our stay. The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and always eager to ensure guests were satisfied. The beach is sandy, the sea is beautiful, and the overall setting is excellent for a relaxing holiday. The food offered a good variety, although the quality was average to above average, particularly the beverages.

One area that could be improved is drinking water availability. While I appreciate the hotel's sustainability efforts, having to request each glass of water individually can be inconvenient. Installing water dispensers in accessible locations around the resort would make things much easier for guests.

This hotel doesn't deserve five stars at all. The water was served in a very dirty plastic cup. My room's refrigerator was filthy and contained only one bottle of water, even though cheaper hotels don't have this problem. The beach is shared by several hotels, and the designated swimming area is very small and crowded. The food is subpar, and I don't know how this hotel got five stars; it's overpriced for such poor service. The hotel itself is small, the rooms are very cramped, and there are only two small swimming pools. I had booked five nights and had to leave and go to another hotel so my vacation wouldn't be ruined.

Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war schon recht laut, sodass man sie nachts nicht laufen lassen konnte. Die Auswahl beim Essen war gut, aber sie könnte noch umfangreicher sein (gerade beim Obst, Müsli).

Tout était magnifique : l’accueil, la gentillesse et la prévenance du personnel, toujours attentif et souriant. La qualité des plats ainsi que la diversité des mets sont remarquables. La propreté de l’établissement est irréprochable, les chambres sont superbes et très confortables. La plage , située à 3mn à pied, est idéale pour le snorkeling : eau claire, sable fin et fonds marins riches. Un vrai bonheur ! Les animations du soir sont exceptionnelles, élégantes et de très bon goût. Les jardins tout autour de l'hotel sont superbes, je vous laisse les découvrir. De la menthe et basilic frais en pots sur chaque table... Le cadre général est reposant, parfait pour se détendre et profiter pleinement du séjour. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel 5 étoiles. Es handelt sich um ein sehr sauberes und schönes, im arabischen Stil gehaltenes Hotel. Die Hotelgäste scheinen vorwiegend aus Deutschland zu kommen, sodass das Hotelpersonal meist gut Deutsch spricht. Das gesamte Personal ist sehr zuverkommend und freundlich. Das Hotel ist mit einigen Nachbarhotels der Jaz-Gruppe in einem sehr schönen und begrünten Teil der Makadi-Bucht in der Nähe eines Golfplatzes gelegen. Beim Eingang des Hotels gibt es mehrere Restaurants und Geschäfte (Souk-Makadi). An einem der Abende gab es dort ein sehr schönes Street-Festival. Als Gast der Jaz Hotels kann man neben den Hotelrestaurants auch Restaurants im Souk-Makadi buchen. Das Hotel selbst hat neben dem Hauptrestaurant im Buffet-Stil auch ein Poolrestaurant, arabisches Restaurant sowie ein Beach-Restaurant. Die beiden zuletzt genannten Restaurants bieten ein a-la-Carte Menü an. Das Essen ist generell sehr reichhaltig, vielfältig und von überwiegend guter Qualität. Es gibt viele frische Salatvariationen. Das Hotel hat eine sehr schön gepflegte Gartenanlage und liegt direkt am Strand. Die Jaz-Hotels, die nicht direkt am Strand liegen, besitzen eigene abgetrennte und markierte Strandabschnitte, sodass nur ein Teil des Strands für das Iberotel Makadi Beach Hotel zur Verfügung steht. Der Strand besteht aus einem gepflegten Sandstrand mit einigen Zugängen ins Meer (auch ein Steg). Das Meer hat einige schöne vorgelagerte Riffe, die zum Schnorcheln einladen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und mit einem schönen Balkon ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und in einem schönen arabischen Stil ausgestattet. Das Hotel bietet einen zentralen Hof mit zwei Pools, wobei der größere unbeheizt und der kleinere beheizt sind. Der nahegelegene Wasserpark ist per Shuttle-Bus (jede 30 Min) einfach zu besuchen und bietet ca. 20 Rutschen an.

Insgesamt gibt es wirklich sehr wenig zu beanstanden. Im Hauptrestaurant hätte ich mir eine etwas bessere Qualität bei den Nachspeisen gewünscht - wir haben aber diese Erfahrung auch in anderen ägyptischen Hotels gemacht. Es gibt zwar eine elektrische Grillplatte im Freien, allerdings haben wir beim Abendbuffet Grillspeisen vom Holzkohlegrill vermisst. Hier hätte ich mir mehr Variationen an gegrillten Speisen gewünscht. Für uns war es leider nicht möglich, die anderen Restaurants im Souk Makadi zu buchen, da zu Ostern anscheinend sehr ausgelastet. Das Internet und die Buchungs-App waren hier leider sehr langsam, aber das schien ein generelles Problem der Region zu sein. Die Jaz-Hotels der "zweiten Reihe" besitzen am Strand eigene Beach-Kioske und Restaurants, die man allerdings als Gast des Iberotels nicht benutzen darf - das finde ich generell schade, hier hätte man ein generelles Konzept am Strand machen können. Wir hatten zu Ostern teilweise etwas kühles Wetter wegen dem ständigen Wind, daher war der unbeheizte Pool relativ wenig zu gebrauchen. Der beheizte Pool ist leider etwas klein geraten. Hier könnte sich das Management überlegen, zu solchen stark frequentierten Reisezeiten auch den größeren Pool etwas zu wärmen, damit Kinder darin schwimmen können. Im erwähnten Wasserpark sind ungefähr die hälfte der Rutschen beheizt, allerdings war es zu unserer Zeit etwas windig unf frisch, die unbeheizten Rutschen zu nutzen. Hier könnte man überlegen, wirklich alle Rutschen zu beheizen und auch einen geheizten kleinen Pool anzubieten, wo man sich etwas aufwärmen kann. Das sind aber alles Feinheiten und konstruktive Kritik, die einen Aufenthalt weiter perfektionieren würden. Ich könnte mir gut vorstellen, zu einer etwas wärmeren Jahreszeit das Hotel wieder zu besuchen.

Die Zimmer sind funktional und sauber. Die Lage ist sehr schön: gepflegte Anlage direkt am Strand, super Schnorchelgelegenheit, dazu Windsurfen außerhalb möglich (nicht für Anfänger, da überall Riffe und wenig Platz). Der Service ist fantastisch, sodass man sich wirklich willkommen fühlt. Man kann jederzeit, egal ob am Strand oder am Pool Getränke ordern von den aufmerksamen Mitarbeitern, die Zuverlässigkeit ist außerordentlich gut. Am Strand wird direkt mit den Liegen geholfen und wir haben immer Platz gefunden. Essen mit breiter Auswahl mit teilweise sehr guten Speisen und Restaurants sind babyfreundlich, Hochstühle sind vorhanden. Viele loyale wiederkehrende Besucher, was die extrem guten Bewertungen im Schnitt teilweise erklärt.

Ein Babyschwimmbecken wäre eine Verbesserung, aber auch so kann man den beheizten Pool an der Bar nutzen. Das Essen schwankt aus unserer Sicht etwas in der Qualität von Tag zu Tag und von Restaurant zu Restaurant. 2 von 4 Personen hatten während des Aufenthaltes Durchfall - wir haben nur in Ressort gegessen. Kleiner Negativpunkt: mehr als die zwei Standard Flaschen stilles Wasser im Zimmer zu bekommen war jeden Tag Verhandlungssache mit dem Room Service, was nervig war. Wir hatten regelmäßig für unser Baby morgens oder abends auf dem Zimmer zu wenig Wasser, trotz täglichem Bitten und Nachfrage. Hätten dafür sogar trotz all inclusive extra gezahlt…

Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt Das Hotel ist sehr schön und sauber, mit einer geschmack vollen Einrichtung, die einladend wirkt. Der Fitnessraum ist ebenfalls sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, perfekt für sportliche Aktivitäten. Das Essen ist reich an Aromen und bietet eine große Auswahl an köstlichen Gerichten, die jeden Gaumen erfreuen. Tägliche Veranstaltungen sind ein Highlight meines Aufenthalts, sie sind unterhaltsam und gut organisiert. ABER Besonders hervorzuheben sind die Mitarbeiter, die immer hilfsbereit und freundlich sind. Ihr Engagement und ihre Professionalität machen den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer. Ich möchte mich bei jedem bedanken. Aktuell ist es schwierig so ein Staff zu finden! Insgesamt kann ich dieses Hotel nur empfehlen und werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Rundum hat es uns sehr gut gefallen! Die Anlage ist sehr stilvoll und nicht zu gedrängt was es vom Nachbarhotel unterscheidet. Das gibt dem ganzen mehr eleganz und stil ohne zu groß zu sein. Das Essen war wirkluch sehr gut und immer für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Das Personal sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die direkte Strandlage macht es noch viel besser. Jeder Wunsch wurde uns erfüllt! Uns ist die Sauberkeit auch sehr aufgefallen von den frühen Morgenstunden bis in die Nachtstunden wurde gearbeitet, geputzt - trotzdem hatte das Personal immer ein Lächeln und freundliche Worte! Wir waren 3 Erwachsene und unser fast 3 Jahre alter Junge! Wir kommen wieder!

Our week on a mother-daughter trip with friends was fantastic. The hotel is in the Madinat Makadi complex, which is an incredibly safe group of hotels, restaurants, a few shops and a waterpark. Iberotel has one of the best locations right on the beach. We had a large room that was spotlessly clean, and housekeeping was awesome, with fresh beach towels delivered to your room daily. I am celiac, so food at an all inclusive can be a problem, but not here. Every single amazing dish is labelled with all allergens, clearly, in multiple languages, and even icons showing allergens. I enjoyed the huge selection of great food immensely! The pools are also spotlessly clean, there are plenty of comfortable chaise lounge chairs both poolside and beachside, and best of all, we never saw anyone “reserving” chairs they weren’t using, which I can only assume is due to the hotel’s active policy and signposting. The staff were lovely, friendly, and absolutely the hardest working people I have ever seen, and we quickly got to know many of them, from front desk to each restaurant, to the drink waiters at the beach and pool and the water sports guys at the beach. Whatever you needed, they were right there to help you. If you want to go to Egypt and do great side missions to check out Luxor, Cairo’s sites etc but you don’t want the hustle of the big city or the sometimes overwhelming onslaught of the tourist attractions, this place is a perfect quiet escape to use as a base for your adventures.

По пляжу курсирует караван верблюдов предлагая прокатится и сфотографироваться, если не принимать моральный аспект, то это как минимум негигиенично - животные испражняются в песок, по которому ходят гости и в котором играют дети. В номере была слышна музыка после 22:00 от дискотек и анимации, немного мешало спать.

This is the perfect hotel for a peaceful holiday. It's the oldest hotel in Makadi Bay and its matured like a fine wine. The gardens are beautiful with the beach just in front of the hotel. The bedrooms are older in style due to the hotels age but are beautifully maintained and serviced daily by a towel sculpture master. The customer service here is off the scale. I've never seen a more proactive hotel GM than Patrick, he's around all day. Heny the service manager is exceptional and we couldn't have asked for better help during our stay. The food is fantastic, with the highlight being the brilliant Beach Restaurant. The Magic World entertainment team led by Turbo are great and we spent nearly everyday playing Boccia on the beach with German's, Swiss and Austrian holiday makers. The hotel is mainly a German hotel and for most of our stay we were the only 2 Brits. It made no difference. Virtually all the staff speak English and German and many like the chance to speak English. The German's are delightful people to be on holiday with. Our first visit, but it won't be our last.

Overall: the hotel is very welcoming and extremely well run. There is a good animation programme and some amusing evening entertainment including, singers dancers and acrobats, some in local costumes. The food quality is good throughout. The standard of service is excellent. The management team and the staff are clearly dedicated to providing guests with a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The hotel is exceptionally clean and standards are high. Things to think about: the Bay in which the hotel is located has a long Sandy Beach. The sea is very clean and clear, but there is very little coral. Snorkelling is easy and pleasant but you do not see as much marine life as you would further along the coast where the coral is more plentiful. The hotel runs a boat service which will take you to a nearby Coral Beach for a few dollars. About 70% to 80% of the the guests are Russian and this may require some culturally adjustment. All beaches in Egypt are accessible to the public which allows you to walk all across the bay. The beach guards on the Albatross Hotel are rather aggressive and will try to stop you from trying to pass. They are not allowed to do this as long as you don't use their sun beds. The old town of Sharm Sheik is right behind the hotel for some local colour but it is perhaps a little run down. Accommodation: rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the hotel is well maintained. Restaurants : the main buffet has a very wide range of food on offer so although there is an overall pattern to the menu cycle there is always plenty of choice. Food is well prepared and the chefs are always willing to adjust and change things for particular tastes. There are two speciality restaurants. The Italian restaurant is excellent for ambience ,service and food. The Ali Baba local cuisine is a matter of taste and not as good as the Italian in my view though many guests had different opinions. There is a beach restaurant which does light meals such as burgers, pizzas and so on. More important it is a source of ice cream throughout the day. Beverages: bar service is very good. Drinks such as gin, whiskey, rum and vodka are all of the local variety, so made under license in Egypt. Facilities : there is a very large outdoor pool onto two levels. There is a bar service on the upper level. There is also a very nice spa with an indoor pool. There is a gym, tennis courts and a massage spa. The hotel has its own medical centre. It is worth mentioning the general manager who clearly is responsible for the very high standards. There are also two guest service ladies who walk around checking that guests are comfortable and happy. Any point that is mentioned Ito them is actioned s actioned. Mohammed, the TUI rep is perhaps the best rep we have encountered. Hosein and Dali are really good on the animation team.

Iberotel makadi beach is one of my lovely place in hurghada , i enjoyed my stay with my family and it was so fantastic vacation.The weather is so nice and peaceful. We will come back again.

Laute Musik ( bis 23 Uhr ) von einem Hotel ( Xanadu ), manchmal auch 2 Hotels - die ganze Bucht wurde beschallt, auch tagsüber, wenn man am Strand war. Fitnessraum / Ausstattung müsste in den nächsten Jahren modernisiert werden.

Sehr viel sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Viel frischer Salat im Baukastenprinzip zum selbst zusammenstellen zusätzlich zu qualitativ hochwertigen Gerichten, die live zubereitet oder fertig gekocht zur Verfügung standen.

Le personnel, que ce soit aux restaurants, à la réception, à la plage, pour les chambres, ou les jardiniers était très sympathique, souriant et serviable. Endroit très joli, plage propre et bien entretenue, bel endroit pour le snorkeling (poissons, raies, tortues). Chambres confortables. Très belle surprise pour l'anniversaire de nos filles.

Bruit de ventilateur 24h/24 dans un bâtiment à côté de la chambre, dérangeant la nuit. SPA de l'établissement partenaire avec masseuses fantastiques, mais personnel d’accueil peu agréable (avec le client ainsi qu'avec leurs employées).

Everything was perfect! The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was great. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

One of the best hotels I've stayed at in Egypt 🇪🇬. All the staff are helpful, the food was delicious 😋, the room service is excellent, and everyone is very accommodating. It's one of the best hotels in terms of service 🌎, and the smiles of all the staff are wonderful. I especially want to thank the entire reception staff, as they were up to the task. They speak fluent German and English. This is a hotel that selects its staff very efficiently. I highly recommend it, and we will be returning soon because of the staff, especially the receptionists 🥰.

All was very good with me specially the hotel staff, I wish there was more activities for families and bigger gym. regarding the beach I didn't try it

Das Zimmer war gross und geräumig, für uns dürften die Möbel etwas heller sein, nicht mehr das sehr dunkle Holz. Das Essen war sehr gut, jedoch dürfte das Büfett am Abend mehr Auswahl bieten.

Uns hat alles sehr gefallen, ausser das Internet war sehr schlecht. Es heisst man Hat WLAN Verbindung, diese ist jedoch sehr schlecht, so dass wir ein Datenpaket für CHF 60 gekauft haben.

Das überwiegend sehr gute Essen im Hauptrestaurant, die Vielfalt der Speisen, das sehr nette und sehr serviceorientierte Personal, die angenehme Atmosphäre, die sehr schöne und sehr gepflegte Anlage, zum Schlafen sehr ruhig, die großen Räumlichkeiten, die gute Lage, das Volleyballspielen 2x täglich. Auch das Essen im Restaurant am Strand ist sehr gut und empfehlenswert.

Das Trinkwasser in den Glasflaschen, welches gefiltert sein soll, schmeckt zum Teil sehr unangenehm und merkwürdig. Ursprünglich gab es Plastikflaschen von Nestle, dessen Wasser neutral schmeckte. Glasflaschen bzw. gefiltertes Wasser sind natürlich zu begrüßen, es muss dann qualitativ auch hochwertig sein. Das Rindfleisch ist zum Teil etwas trocken. Meine Matratze war für uns persönlich zu hart und die großen Handtücher auch. Die Hauptgerichte beim Restaurant am Pool sind dagegen nur Durchschnitt, der Salat dagegen sehr gut. Das Servicepersonal hat zum Teil meine bereits erwachsene Tochter mehrfach nach ihrer Telefonnummer gefragt, sollte nicht sein.
