Nous avons passons un merveilleux séjour dans cet hôtel. Tout le personnel est aux petits soins. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, la nourriture est très bonne et le spa est de qualité ! L'accès direct à la plage est également un gros plus avec un récif corallien à proximité et des dizaines de poissons magnifiques à observer ! Merci à Mina et à l'ensemble des équipes pour ce super séjour !

La chaleur dans la salle à manger est étouffante et rend les repas presque invivables, c’est dommage pour un all inclusive..

Konum olarak şehrin merkezine biraz uzak fakat çalışanları, yemekleri, hizmeti her şey çok güzeldi. Bir kez daha yolumuz buraya düşerse kesinlikle bu oteli seçeriz. Çalışanları aşırı güler yüzlü ve yardımcı olma odaklıydı. Sayelerinde tatilimiz çok keyifli ve güzel geçti. Odaların büyüklüğü çok iyi ve çok çok temizdi. Yemekleri de oldukça lezzetliydi. Her öğün mutlaka kendinize yiyebilecek bir şeyler bulabiliyorsunuz çünkü çok çeşitliydi.

I wanna thank for lovely vacation to all the staff here, but specially: Saif from animation team - really nice guy to talk and funny also, next: Ahmed from the pool bar - always smiling, kind and his service was exceptional (i didnt even finish my soda yet and he was there with another - much thanks) Next Mahrous from hotel restaurant - very kind and his service was quite exceptional, we came to eat and in a second we had drink on the table, while the restaurant was fully crowded. Thank you

The hotel is amazing, really good place to chill it’s quiet because it’s 16+. Staff is really kind they will always help you. Animation team is amazing, thanks to them i met lovely girls who’s now my friends. All of them are really funny especially Mido and Saif they always made me laugh. They offer trips to clubs it’s really safe and a great experience for people. They made me feel like it’s home. Definitely will b e coming back. I’d recommend this hotel to everyone.

I have just returned from a 2 week holiday with my daughter at Jaz Makadi Star. The hotel was great, we arrived late and were shown to a room with a pool view on the second floor. The hotel was very clean and well kept, the staff were friendly and helpful. The beach was a only a short walk from the hotel but was a bit busy for our liking so we spent most of the holiday by the pool. The entertainment team were fantastic providing a wide range of activities and always around to say hello throughout the day. There was a lovely selection of food every meal time, with a number of fresh cooking stations and a choice of bars for after dinner drinks. There was some building work being carried out at the hotel next door, there were some days we were aware of the construction work, however it did not affect the holiday at all. We have already booked to stay here again next year.

This place is perfect if you want to relax and unwind. Special thanks to Hashem at the beach bar for his amazing service and positive energy. Also, thanks to Barbra and Seif from the animation team – they did a fantastic job making our stay super fun. The food was tasty, rooms were clean, and we had a lovely stay overall.

The place is very chill and good choice for relaxing. I would like to say a big thank you to Hashem, the barman from the beach because he always served with a smile and cared a lot about guests. Also Barbra and Seif from animation team who made the vacation even more fun. The room was clean, the food was good.

Der Aufenthalt war super. Wir wurden schon vor der Ankunft kontaktiert, damit wir uns rundum wohlfühlen konnten. Es fing schon super an, da das Taxi bereits auf uns wartete, als wir am Flughafen ankamen. Bei Hotelankunft hat schon Ebrahim auf uns gewartet, um uns in Empfang zu nehmen. Er war immer für uns da und hat alles möglich gemacht. Ein riesiger Dank geht an das gesamte Personal. Sie waren alle super freundlich und haben sich immer sofort gekümmert. Das Essen war wirklich hochwertig und immer frisch zubereitet, wirklich klasse!! Das Hotel hat eine schöne Lage und ist sehr ruhig. Man geht nur zwei oder drei Minuten bis zum Strand (dort ist etwas mehr los). Da das Hotel einen eigenen Strandbereich hat, ist es super gelöst. Auch hier kann ich sagen, das Personal war klasse und man bekommt Getränke und auch Snacks. Wirklich ein toller Service!

We had a very enjoyable stay at this all-inclusive hotel. The food was amazing, with a great variety of options every day—we never got bored of the selection. Everything throughout the hotel was very clean and well-maintained, which made the experience even more comfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we slept very well each night. The cocktails were also good and enjoyable, adding to the relaxing atmosphere. We especially liked having access to billiards—it was a fun way to spend some of our time.

One area that could be improved is the evening entertainment. The shows were okay, but we felt they could be more engaging and of higher quality.

A lovely relaxing time very clean the food was amazing and a great choice. Our room was spacious mustifa just spoilt us ,all staff were eager to ensure you enjoyed your holiday.The area…. gardens were immaculate beautiful walks and the beach was impressive. Entertainment at night was impressive .we felt recharged and would love to go back nice quiet relaxing holiday.

An absolutely amazing stay ❤️ First of all, I would like to sincerely thank the management of Jaz Star & Spa for such a wonderful experience. The place is beautiful, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and everything is perfectly organized to make you feel comfortable from the very first moment. A very special thanks to Mr. Mina—honestly, his level of care and professionalism was exceptional. He was in contact with me even before our arrival, arranging everything and making sure all details were perfect. From the moment we arrived, his warm welcome made us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. When he knew it was our honeymoon and also my birthday, he went above and beyond to make it truly unforgettable. The honeymoon setup and birthday celebration were absolutely amazing and meant so much to us ❤️ The food was incredibly delicious, and I would also like to give special thanks to Mr. Salah and Taher at the restaurant for their great service and kindness. Finally, thanks to the entire team—from the smallest role to the highest—for their hospitality and positive spirit. Definitely coming back again!

Just left this resort after 9 nights. We had high expectations and unfortunately it did fall short. We wanted to leave a report whilst in the resort but Trip Adviser is blocked in Makadi which tells you something… Very nice check in and very warm welcome so off to a great start. Shown to our room and immediately nipped out for a drink as it was late and we needed a refreshment. Note all beverages after midnight are chargeable. When we returned to the room we noticed a vibration through the building structure. Turns out this was the air conditioning plant on the roof. They did offer to move us but it was several days before they could do so as the hotel was full. You need to get up at 6:00 am if you want a decent sunbed as that’s when the rush starts. No toiletries in the room other than shampoo and conditioner in tubes stick to the wall like budget hotels. Communication was poor as we missed out on the end of Ramadan feast because we weren’t told about it. You can eat in 2 à la carte restaurants (one on site and one off) but they don’t volunteer that. I was told that 3 days notice was required to book an à la carte and when I did so was told it was fully booked. I happened to pass the restaurant on the evening we wanted to eat there and there were only 3 couples dining and we never got to eat there as it was our last night which was disappointing but the management didn’t care. We had a contestant fight with the cleaner who kept removing things from our room such as soft pillows we’d requested, pool towels without refreshing them and food which was wrapped for bedtime snacks. Overall the food was very good save for two occasions when the desert was still frozen 2 hours into service. If you want to leave Makadi bay for a trip to Hurghada be prepared to wait an hour for a taxi as it takes forever to get through the security gate. Also be prepared to pay quadruple the price advertised by Uber. The hotel was spotless and the staff did go out of their way to resolve what they could but they still missed the mark in my eyes.

I agree with every good thing said about this hotel. I won’t repeat it all but will just write a few different things which will give an idea of the ethos of this hotel. Thank you for the gift bag with nice surprises that every guest receives. Thank you for leaving a generous picnic in our room when you knew we would get back very late after a full day trip to Cairo. Thank you for the immaculate pool and well kept tennis court that we used every day and that massively enhanced our holiday experience. Thank you to all the cheery, friendly staff who anticipated our every wish before we’d even thought of it ourselves. We’ll be back next year for sure.

Great experience through and through, totally recommend The beach is 5 mins walk away, the food was surprisingly good and diverse, room was cleaned well and the staff is very attentive.

Wir hatten ein wenig Pech, dass gerade auf der gegenüberliegenden Straße eine Baustelle war (viele Stemmarbeiten). Die Türen im Zimmer könnten eine Überholung benötigen. Nachdem aber alles andere so gut im Hotel war, haben uns diese Dinge dann gar nicht einmal so gestört ☺️

Красивая подача блюд! Уважаемые Шеф-повара Мустафа и Гома - вам браво!!! И большое спасибо! Весь персонал отеля - молодцы- всегда вежливые, приветливые, стараются сказать на русском:) Лена, менеджер, спасибо тебе, всегда внимательная, участливая, быстро решала вопросы. Например, у нас в номерах были халаты, но не было тапочек и утюга - Лена всё решила быстро:) Умница! Да ещё и красавица! Приятно, что в православное Рождество в номере нас ждали милые подарки - шоколадный Дед Мороз и Рождественский носочек с орешками и сладостями.

Не очень удобно ходить на пляж и обратно в отель с пляжными полотенцами. Их меняет консьерж на этаже вечером, но лучше бы на пляже это делать, по картам, как это обычно бывает. Ещё отмечу «уставшие» банные полотенца, пора бы их уже утилизировать, такому замечательному отелю несолидно использовать ветхие полотенца. В январе на пляже шезлонгов хватало всем желающим, но сам пляж тесноват, шезлонги располагаются близко друг к другу.

Als Stammgäste wurden wir mit einem kostenlosen Zimmer-Upgrade überrascht, was wir sehr zu schätzen wissen und als Zeichen echter Wertschätzung empfinden. Das Hotel überzeugt auf ganzer Linie: Die Anlage ist gepflegt, ruhig und sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet. Das Essen war durchgehend abwechslungsreich, frisch und von hoher Qualität – egal ob Frühstück, Mittag- oder Abendessen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der Service: Die Mitarbeiter sind aufmerksam, herzlich, professionell und dabei niemals aufdringlich. Man merkt, dass hier Gastfreundschaft gelebt wird. Auch das Animationsteam war angenehm präsent, motivierend und zugleich respektvoll – genau die richtige Mischung aus Unterhaltung und Entspannung. Das Spa- und Wellnessangebot rundet den Aufenthalt perfekt ab.

The hotel is very clean , friendly and excellent food catering very well for gluten free diets. Mahmoud in the restaurant was very helpful and all the chefs and head of restaurant amazing . The animation team were very good especially Mohamda who brightened every day. The evening entertainment was very good . This was our second time to stay at the hotel and I’m sure there will be a third .

As many have said in previous reviews it really is true that the whole team who work at Jaz Makadi are incredibly hard working and do all they can to make your stay special. Special shout out to Ahmed and Ali at the beach bar. Great service! The animation team are friendly and always ready to chat - shout out to Jessica, Ussa and Modesta thank you. The food is top quality, there’s a huge variety and no issues in finding something you like plus options to try new dishes. The bread is superb and there’s a huge variety of cake for dessert. This was was our second visit and hotel surpassed our already high expectations. It was noticeable that management were visible and asking how stay was going and anything that could be done to improve it. Our room was comfortable and quiet and any issue we raised acted on swiftly (no hot water resolved). Garden view wasn’t particularly exciting but no issue. I would recommend taking a hairdryer I have thick hair and it was so much quicker. The beach is a short walk away and relatively small in comparison to other hotels. Never had an issue getting a sunbed at beach and drinks / food service was fantastic. Snorkelling is super easy and great fun exploring the coral reefs off the beach. The pool area, pool itself is gorgeous with great service and comfy beds. Only gripe I have is the sunbed towel reservations top spots in maximum sun nearly all done before 6am. Pool bar food has lots of choice with table service and a nice spot to have lunch or a few drinks later on in the day. It was much easier this year to book our a la carte dinner and had a fantastic dinner at Amaya Indian next door. The in house Italian a la Carte was an added bonus and such a lovely experience.

Honestly, one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The place is amazing from the moment you walk in until the very last minute. Everything is clean, well-organized, and done with great attention to detail. Hotel organizes airport pick up and drop off that may sound pricier than uber but it’s much safer and uber drivers will likely scam you so stick with the hotel ! Hello there, Sabalahere! Review number 83 so not new at this, hopefully a true version of our 2 weeks in Hurghada staying at the Jaz Makadi Star and Spa. We, my wife and I arrived quite late and were taken to our Room, this initially appeared to be very nice, spacious, airy, nice Shower and Toilet, clean. We sat for a little while then opened the Patio Doors, whats that noise? A Generator at the adjacent Hotel was located maybe 100metres from our room but was very noisy. We had requested by E Mail a month before arrival that we would prefer a quiet room. To add some further colour, we had initially booked to return to a sister hotel, Jaz Case Del Mar Beach also in Hurghada, with 2 months to go we has an E Mail from Easy Jet advising that some building work was taking place adjacent to the Hotel, as we did not want to be bothered by noise we decided to re-book to the Makadi Star and Spa. We contacted Reception and told them of the issue, after a short wait they turned up with another room key and we moved, 50 metres further away from the Generator, we said we would try this location as it was now getting late and we had not eaten. We found our way to the Restaurant but service had ended and no food was available. We spoke to a member of Staff who went and asked the Head Chef who plated us up a couple of meals which were much appreciated and were very good. The next day we again visited Reception and told them of the room still being too noisy, we were told to come back in the afternoon and we would get a better room. We returned to Reception as requested and were taken to another Room, on the Ground Floor this time however when I looked out of the Patio Door we were now exactly opposite the Generator again under our original room! Asked Reception Staff if all the Rooms which advised Garden View which we had booked were on this wing, yes he said. I asked about upgrading to a Pool View Room which he said we could do for $220, this we did and were allocated a Ground Floor Room, overlooking the Pool and away from the Generator. This process did actually impact on the first two days of our holiday as we had not unpacked until settled in the Pool View Room. This Room was identical to the others in the Block, nice and clean, plenty of power sockets, Fridge with complimentary soft drinks and water. We were looked after in Room 103 by Ibrahim who surprised us several times with light displays in the Room upon our return at night. He was very good and was happy to provide us with extra Toilet Rolls on request when we had stomach issues. Around the Pool there were plenty of Sunbeds, many of these however did have towels on all day having been placed there earlier despite signage saying this was not allowed. The Pool Staff were always on hand to assist with moving beds, parasols, cleaning Sunglasses, bringing cold towels once a day, bringing sweets then tidying up at the end of the day. Bar Staff provided excellent service bringing drinks to your sunbed as often as you wanted, particular mention must be given to Ibrahim ( Denzil) who was very patient and humoured me with my feeble attempts at learning some Arabic words- Itneed maya fawara (Two sparkling waters). Mohammed, who was very keen on me teaching him German despite being told many times that we are from Scotland and do not speak German, he was very good at keeping our glasses topped up in the afternoon. As we moved into the Evening the Bar Staff were still on duty, particular thanks to Hashim, Ramadan who did the inside bar and who made some excellent Bloody Marys, he will have been pleased to see us go as he kept having to track down Tomato Juice for us! My good friend Ali, now known as Alister Macallister. In the Dining Room we would most often be welcomed by Mr Hassan the Restaurant Manager who is an absolute credit to the Hotel and unlike other Managers we saw he was happy to clear tables and help his Staff if it was busy. Head Chef during our first week was lovely to us after our late arrival experience on the first day, he would always speak if he saw us. The self service Restaurant at meal times was always overflowing with a huge selection of meals to please all tastes. We tended to use the same seating areas in the Restaurant and were served by lovely friendly waiters who made sure we had ample drinks on our table be it coffee, wine or water. Particular thanks for Mayrus who looked after us for the first week then was moved outside. Abd Elrahman then took over and looked after us very well, a most pleasant and helpful young man. The Entertainment Team were very good without being intrusive, Big Mido and Ussa were always very enthusiastic, talking to all guests and encouraging those who wanted to take part to take part, we were happy to watch from a distance. Elena in Customer Support often came round to check that everything was OK, we did not see her for our first few days, she was always happy to spend a few minutes chatting. The Gardens and Grounds were quite immaculate, we used to chat with Morab Salah, one of the Gardeners who would bring my wife flowers sometimes. On Departure day we asked to keep our room for a few hours but were told this was not possible, we got a free extension until 12.00, our pickup was at 1600. Our general opinion of the Reception Staff was not very positive, they were very abrupt and it seemed like we were being a nuisance to them, possibly a language issue but our interactions with them were not very positive. Departmental Managers were always on the scene keeping an eye on their Staff. They do not project the same welcoming touches as the rest of the Staff, all apart from Mr Hassan appear to be very aloof, above speaking to the guests apart from their own particular favourites which was very apparent especially when a returning guest was first greeted. Managers would frequently be seen walking around the Hotel mobile phone in hand avoiding eye contact with guests at all costs. This does not portray a good example to their Staff who fortunately do not behave in such a fashion, most are happy to give a greeting on the way past even a smile which was always reassuring. We were invited to a Welcome Cocktail Party, we were however poorly on that day so did not attend we did however witness it from across the Pool. Mainly a welcome party for returning guest some of whom had been there over 20 times. I need to mention that the vast majority of guests, certainly 80% were German, not a problem, but they are not great at queueing in the Restaurant, they appear to be very impatient and expect to be given priority. It would be interesting to know the exact mix of guests from each Country prior to booking. The Beach is about a 10 - 15 minute walk, we only went down there a few times but always seemed to be very busy, The dedicated Restaurant at the Beach was very good, manned by Staff from the Hotel who were very pleasant to deal with. We had to attend the local Pharmacy a few times, it is open 24/7 which is useful to know. The Staff there were very helpful. Good idea when you go though is to mention Trip Advisor or similar sites when asking for a particular product. First time I went it cost me $25 for two different medications which were supplied out of the box to me with only verbal instructions on dosage. Next time I went I showed them on Trip Advisor the item I wanted, strangely enough the price was now only $2! The guys in the shop were chatting to themselves but I heard them say Trip Advisor so be aware! Have scored the Hotel a 5, this really reflects on the excellent friendly service provided by the troops on the ground, Cooks, Waiters, Bar Staff, Pool Staff. MANAGERS - you need to up your game, I know having worked in Egypt that there is very much a formal and hierachical rank structure in the workplace, to visitors this is very apparent and deters from our enjoyment of our stay. You need to be less aloof, especially in the tourism sector, with your Clients, give us eye contact, smile, say Sabalacheer, Shukran, especially if we speak to you or smile towards you, smile back, say hello. Do not pretend to be on your mobile and try to make yourself look important. We do not care about status, be respectful to your Staff. Without your Staff you have no business, be kind to them, they look after your business, I presume some of you will at some stage have worked at their level, respect that and do not get above your station. Be aware of over welcoming your favourite clients, it is very unsightly and shows definite favouritism either towards the people or the country.

Everything was great, I had a wonderful vacation, the food was excellent, the service was fantastic, and I would like to thank the entertainment team.

Great hotel, lovely and attentive staff. Great variety of food and drink. Entertainment team always have activities on through the day. Different acts on each night with a 2 week rotation. All the hotel areas are very clean. Would return

I had an amazing time at Jaz Makadi Star! The hotel is beautiful, very clean, and well organized. The staff are always smiling and ready to help with anything you need — they really make you feel at home. The food was great with lots of variety every day, and the animation team kept the energy high with fun activities and shows. The beach is stunning and perfect for relaxing or snorkeling. It was one of the best vacations I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to come back again soon
