I really enjoyed my stay at Mad Monkey Siem Reap. The location is great and it’s really easy to access. A lot of restaurants, shops and nice spots are at a walking distance. The property in itself is really welcoming with a nice common area and a great pool. The rooms are really spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathroom was exceptional for a hostel! But the real highlight of my stay there was the people, especially the staff and the reps. Daniel, one of the reps, was so friendly and helpful and really made me feel comfortable as soon as I arrived. Benny was such a lovely person too. I also did the Angkor Wat sunrise tour with the hostel and I recommend it 100%. It was honestly the best day I’ve spent in Cambodia for sure.

Awesome location, super friendly staff and people from other all over the world. Private room was good and despite there always being music this never disrupted my sleep. Would stay here again!

My first time at a party hostel; my bunkmates were decent so I didn’t have any trouble. The shower was really good! I used to look forward to shower every day and night :D. The location of the hostel is perfect. I won’t stay here again as I’m not a party person but if you like drinks and meaningless banter, you’d love it here. Their sunrise Angkor wat tour is good but you can find a better place outside. Overall, given the hostel setup, I felt they offered free drinks occasionally in exchange of higher prices for other services.

Breakfast not included. They offered hot water for free if you want to have an instant food. In front of the hostel, there’s a small coffee shop which serves good coffee at reasonable prices. (I recommend Temple restaurant for coffee though, few mins walk away) Restaurant prices in the hostel are high and the food was okay in taste.

There was a small spider in my shower which I didn't love The location was a little further from pub street than I would have thought and it was missing the party vibe but maybe that's because it was out of season but when I went to a different hostel that did have a very good vibe!

Super awesome deal (I went when it was only $12/night for a whole room, probably due to the border conflict with thailand). Nice amenities and great location, walking distance from pub street. Super nice staff that are very good at pool! Make sure you buy them a drink :)

We had the best time at this hostel!!! It’s got the social side of a hostel with the comfort and facilities of a nice hotel! The staff are the best, they organise great activities and events for everyone but also just genuinely want to have fun with everyone! We done a cooking class with the chef, he took us to the local market to learn about the ingredients and helped us cook 3 dishes! It was so good! We also went on a pub crawl, done the music quiz & pub quiz ran by Sokreom & Kassy! All was very fun! The hostel is a short walk from the main area of town/ pub street & is also very easy to get around by tuk tuk if you don’t want to walk! The food in the hostel is also lovely we ate there many times! We just loved it and will definitely be back ☺️

Best staff ever. Sokreom (sk) and Kassy make you feel at home once you enter the building. They care, initiate fun trips and just make the whole hostel something special. If you got to Siem Raep, visit this hostel. It has it all.

I loved how this place is more sociable and the presentation stands out from may places that I've visited! They have great a/c and it's a fun, vibrant environment!

A couple of times the power went out during my weekly stay. It was only for a couple of minutes though. Everything else was pretty much exceptional!

the beds were big and comfy, the rooms were nice and clean! the staff were very lovely and the food was good! i’m happy with the fact that i didn’t hear music in my room, it was very good

the wifi was a bit choppy but it’s okay

Sarun Ron was a very kind and generous host. On the first night, I misplaced some items and Sarun kept them safe and returned them to me the next morning. It was a big relief.

The AC did not work very well in the room. Also if you are in the top bunk there is no privacy and if the room light is on, it is directly in your face so you can’t sleep until everyone goes to bed

The room was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Convenient location and we were able to book day trips through the hostel which saved a lot of time and made our stay easier.

The reps aren’t always the friendliest. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a party hostel. It will get loud. This wasn’t a problem for us but might be for other guests.

The vibes at night were awesome. The staff interacts with the guest and we play d drinking games, pool etc

As a backpacker, it would be nice to be able to bring food or drinks to ur room. I had a private room and was told to throw my food away upon arriving but then offered to order food from them. If we are at a hostel I feel like we are obviously trying to save money and that includes food. One other thing that made me nervous was the door would lock but if u pulled it toward u and back in, the door would open no problem. I just brought my valuables with me just in case. Besides that the staff was friendly, the pool looked nice although I never saw anyone in it…, prob bc there’s so much to see during the day

Felt more like a place for foreigners—would be nice to see more locals too. Bathrooms could use some improvement, but I understand it's a dormitory setup.

Some stuff are so rude unfriendly and not useful. 4beds room smell bad air conditioner isn’t good. To nosy around the pool

The staff was amazing, they were always making sure that everyone was having a great time , a very nice and friendly atmosphere and everyone was interacting and socializing

Great location with lots of things to do around there. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Definitely a more chilled Mad Monkey that we stayed in considering everybody is super tired from waking up for Angkor Wat. Didn't have a very long stay but the rooms were comfy and the pool was very inviting!

Lack of places to sit and small cafe area.

People are awesome, staff is even better, fair priced trips and excursions. Can’t ask for more
