Reviewed Aug 10, 2026The experience was excellent. From the point of check i well welcomed and service was on point. The staff were always willing to help. The room was lovely. Very clean and room service was on point. I had an excellent experience
This is a quaint hotel - not a sprawling resort, let’s establish that first. It’s a 102 room resort within five floors.
There is an intimate pool with 16 lounge chairs and what looks like a picnic area. It wasn’t crowded and it’s a good thing too because as I draft the review I have been waiting pool towels for over an hour. I am confused because there were very few people at the pool last night and this morning yet somehow the hotel lacks clean pool towels.
As many others have stated there’s really no beach. There’s a tiny strip of sand covered in seaweed.
The rooms are spacious and our bathroom includes a tub and a rainfall and handheld shower head. The rooms are clean - which is important to our party.
The front desk staff are very kind and patient. KUDOS to Kimberly who helped decorate our friend’s room for her 50th birthday. She also offered ideas for sightseeing at the ferry to Nevis. Overall this is decent stay but I would not expect a luxurious experience.
As someone who spends well over 200 nights a year in hotels around the world, I rarely leave public reviews. When I do, it’s because I genuinely believe other travelers should know what to expect.
I am extremely disappointed with this property and, quite frankly, find it difficult to understand how it carries the Hilton name. The only reason I chose to stay here was the attractive room rate. Unfortunately, I regret that decision and will be returning to my usual Marriott property on the island for future visits.
The issue isn’t the quality of the room—it’s a policy that is, in my opinion, one of the most unreasonable I’ve encountered in years of business travel.
As a Hilton Gold member, continental breakfast is included. By mistake, I also booked a rate that included breakfast. During breakfast, I opted for the American breakfast, which is listed on the menu at $25 USD, while the included continental breakfast is listed at $20 USD.
In virtually every major hotel chain I’ve stayed with, the solution is simple: you pay the $5 difference for the upgraded breakfast.
Not here.
Instead, I was charged the full $25 per person, effectively paying again for the coffee, juice, fruit, and other continental items that were already included in my benefit. The result was a breakfast bill of $68 USD for two people.
This isn’t about the money. I have an unlimited corporate travel expense account, so the amount itself is completely irrelevant. It’s about the principle and the customer experience. Policies like this make loyal guests feel that the objective is to maximize charges rather than build long-term relationships.
What makes the experience even more disappointing is the lack of any meaningful avenue for escalation. With Marriott, Platinum and Titanium members have concierge and dedicated elite support channels that can often resolve situations like this quickly. I found no comparable support during my stay.
I hope Hilton and the property’s management take reviews like this seriously. There is a reason this hotel is competing primarily on price while other hotels on the island command higher rates and stronger guest loyalty. Experiences like this are exactly why.
This will be my last stay at this property, and I cannot recommend it to fellow Hilton elite members who expect the level of service and common sense typically associated with the brand.

Reviewed Jul 27, 2026The rooms are beautiful. Most of the staff are friendly. The beach is not accessible due to large amounts of seaweed that is not cleaned up. Unfortunately, breakfast is a big letdown. We booked including breakfast. Now it turns out that this is only continental breakfast. According to the menu, this costs 20 US dollars. If you want something different, for example 2 small pancakes for 21 dollars, this amount will be calculated in full. At a hotel like this for this price you expect at least a breakfast buffet or that you can order everything from the breakfast menu. This is very disappointing and will therefore book somewhere else next time. Or do not book breakfast included. If you want to eat something other than Continental, you pay double.

Reviewed Jul 22, 2026If you like to be away from it all the Koi resort is perfect for you. Walking distance is local neighborhoods and a beautiful golf course/park. To reach the towns and beaches you need a taxi which the front desk would be happy to call for you. A complimentary bus runs daily to Frigate Bay at 11 am and will pick you up at 4pm, if I remember correctly, at the drop of location. The pool is well maintained, an inviting temperature and the backdrop of the beach is gorgeous. Four feet at deepest and a cute section for the kiddos that's shallow. My husband and I often encountered Kimberly and Stephanie who work at the customer check in/help desk . They were always helpful, cheerful, and positive. They were able to answer all our questions. The staff welcomed us with a freshing juice and an offer to take up our bags. Rajat, the chef we had during our stay, went above and beyond for us. We were leaving the day before the lobster special would be available and Rajat went out of his way to get us the special the night before we left, a day early. Cooked with expertise, you could taste blends of flavors. He came out to check on us personally to make sure the food was all good. Super friendly. Edris, a restaurant staff worker we encountered often, is very knowledgeable and patient. I would collect local ripe fruit as we went for evening walks. I would bring these fruit to Edris who would talk about them and demonstrate how to open them properly. Her demonstrations made the visit and food richer. Sophia, who works on the fifth floor spa is a gem. I received the Kois Signature Massage and foot reflexology treatments and it was heaven. She has been the only maussus to ever listen to what I wanted her to work on as well as making sure to hit the areas she felt needed help. It was such a balanced massage and I really felt a lasting difference afterwards. Sophia has great control over her strength and can dial it up or down at request. She puts her whole self into her work, you won't be disappointed. As for the rooms, if we were gone for more than an hour they were cleaned. Our stuff untouched. Completely professional. I challenge you to look under the beds, I saw not one speck of dust. Very quiet, except for the birds who announce nighttime is coming, yes that's right, nighttime. It's non intrusive if your outside and you can't hear them in your room. Decent tv channels for different tastes. Great value for your experience. Interacting with all the staff here everyday will restore a sense that we can all just be kind to each other and gain happiness from genuinely trying to be of service to one another. I highly recommend visiting.

Reviewed Jul 7, 2026We had a lovely 2 weeks here whilst visiting the Music festival. Just a short transfer from the airport. The room had recently been refurbished and was very clean and comfortable. The air-conditioning can be a bit noisy but you get used to it humming away. The food was good and freshly cooked by a great team who took the time to come and chat to us at the table. Kimberley on reception is wonderful waving and chatting as we pass each day. There is no beach as on the Atlantic side but a daily shuttle is provided to a local beach with bars etc for food and drinks. You will need a car or taxi to get around with most things a short drive away. There can be a stiff breeze from the ocean but plenty of room poolside to be away from it.
Overall the Island and the hotel were amazing if we didn't have more Caribbean adventures planned we would definitely be back soon.

Reviewed Jun 20, 2026I chose Koi Resort St. Kitts, Curio Collection by Hilton, for a solo trip to celebrate my birthday. Overall, the property is peaceful , the views are beautiful , and the atmosphere is ideal for relaxation. The suites are spacious and comfortable, and the island itself is breathtaking. However, there are areas of the resort that are showing their age and would benefit from updates to better reflect the standards typically associated with Hilton’s Curio Collection.
Before discussing my concerns, I want to recognize the individuals who made my stay memorable: Keanu, Nakita, Edris, Stephanie, Larissa, Keersaw, Raheem, Reshawn, Kimberly, Sudan, and Kayla. They were welcoming, attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in ensuring guests had a positive experience. Nakita and Edris, in particular, brought laughter, personality, and warmth to breakfast each morning. The housekeeping team was kind and accommodating throughout my stay. These employees are the heart of the resort and are the reason many guests will return.
My primary concern involves the Full Board meal package. I specifically selected and paid for Full Board because it was advertised as including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Upon arriving at the resort’s stated check-in time of 3:00 PM, I was informed that I would only receive one meal that day due to what was described as a “general rule.” However, I paid the full Full Board rate rather than a reduced or prorated amount.
My concern is not necessarily the rule itself—it is the lack of transparency. Prior to booking, I reviewed the resort website, reservation confirmation, and booking details and found no written disclosure stating that Full Board benefits are reduced on arrival and departure days. When I requested the written policy, management repeatedly referenced a “general rule” but could not provide documentation supporting it.
Words matter. There is a significant difference between a published policy and an internal practice. Had this information been clearly disclosed before purchase, I could have made an informed decision and potentially selected a different meal plan for arrival and departure days. Transparency builds trust; undisclosed limitations create frustration.
There were other opportunities for improvement as well. A spa promotion advertising 30% off services over $100 was not honored despite being clearly displayed. The food was generally good, but additional menu variety and more creative drink specials would enhance the guest experience. Housekeeping staff were excellent, but refreshed towels and greater attention to detail throughout the property would further elevate the resort.
What disappointed me most was not the issue itself, but the response. Effective leadership is demonstrated through accountability, solutions, and a willingness to acknowledge when communication can be improved. Suggesting a guest “misunderstood” a package when no written policy can be produced does not resolve the concern—it shifts responsibility away from the organization.
While I recognize the beauty of the island and deeply appreciate the dedication of the staff, I do not believe the overall guest experience currently meets the standards I associate with either the Hilton brand or, more specifically, the Curio Collection. Curio properties are marketed as unique, upscale experiences that combine exceptional service, attention to detail, transparency, and elevated hospitality. In its current state, Koi Resort falls short of those expectations.
The inconsistencies in guest communication, lack of transparency regarding package inclusions, failure to honor advertised promotions, and leadership’s response to legitimate concerns do not reflect the level of service I have experienced at other Hilton properties. While the staff work tirelessly to overcome these shortcomings, a brand is ultimately judged by the standards it upholds. In my opinion, this property currently does not meet the standards expected of a Hilton hotel, let alone a Curio Collection property. Hilton should carefully evaluate whether the resort is delivering the quality, consistency, and guest experience associated with its name.
Despite these concerns, I genuinely enjoyed my stay. The staff went above and beyond to make my birthday special, and for that I am deeply grateful. Their kindness, hospitality, and professionalism left a lasting impression and were unquestionably the highlight of my visit.
St. Kitts is a beautiful destination with incredible potential, and Koi Resort has many strengths. With stronger leadership, greater transparency, continued investment in the property, and a renewed focus on guest communication and accountability, the resort could become a destination worthy of the Curio Collection designation. The staff deserve tremendous recognition, and future guests deserve clear, accurate information before making purchasing decisions.

Reviewed May 25, 2026Unfortunately, my experience at Koi Resort did not meet the standards expected of the Hilton Curio brand.
From the moment of arrival, the aesthetics did not align with what was advertised. The property appears outdated and in need of significant remodeling. The exterior, which should present as clean and white, instead looks discolored and worn, in some areas almost brown. There are noticeable signs of rust throughout the property.
The beach situation is also disappointing. The hotel’s beach is not swimmable, something that should be clearly communicated on the website. The pool is quite small, and while there is a shuttle to a nearby beach, it is very limited—only offering an 11:00 AM departure and a supposed 4:00 PM return. In our case, pickup didn’t happen until 4:45 PM, which was frustrating and poorly managed.
Another major inconvenience is the handling of towels. Beach towels are not complimentary—you’re asked to purchase one for $10, which is unreasonable. Pool towels are kept in a hidden location, and guests are told not to remove them from the pool area. This feels unnecessarily restrictive and not aligned with what guests expect when paying for a resort experience.
The spa experience was underwhelming. It felt more like a back-room setup than a professional spa. There was no proper intake process, the space was very small, and overall cleanliness and presentation were not up to standard.
Dining at the restaurant was also a letdown. The prices are high, yet the food is average and lacks any real connection or homage to St. Kitts cuisine.

I would like to recognize Cherise, who made parts of my stay more enjoyable with her pleasant, helpful, and kind demeanor—she was a highlight in an otherwise disappointing visit.

Reviewed May 17, 2026Let me preface this by saying that this was simply a one night layover for us as we were flying to Anguilla the next morning, so this was not a vacation hotel for us
The rooms are large, clean, and very modern as are the bathrooms. The bed linens were pristine, the bed was very comfortable, and all of the bathroom linens were plush and large. Our Seaview room had a very nice balcony. The staff was very nice, it was perfect for a one night layover.
I do not think of this as a vacation hotel because you cannot access the beach as it is on the Atlantic side. The hotel staff shuttles guests to a beach on the Caribbean side daily. As for the exterior, it just looks tired and worn, particularly the walkway from the lobby to the restaurant and outdoors. A new paint job is needed, the pool wasn’t especially clear, and the whole exterior just needs a lot of TLC. We did enjoy a refreshing drink while on the back patio looking at the Atlantic.
So yes, if you’re looking for a layover stay, and you are Hilton Honors, this would be perfect for you. I just would not recommend it as a couples retreat, family vacay, etc.

The day before we left, That was the only time the room smelt and looked clean she did a wonderful job.
There are some issues regarding this hotel but
First of all: be aware that the location is far away from everything else.If you have a rental car its totally OK location. Be also beware that the the hotel faces the seaside so alot of sargasm and one cannot go for a swim in the sea. There was not alot of guests since it was a bit off season so the bigger restaurant was closed and you dont see alot of other guests in the hotel.
Things that should be improved:
There are two elevators and the whole week we were there one of them was out of order. The 2 one didnt work one night so had to walk up. Talked to the reception about it, but yes this is how it is...another night was also not working properly...
I wanted the restaurant to call the room when our takeaway food was ready. The answer was that they know that some of the telephones in the rooms are not working, but not which one! Then you make a list and check every room within a week you know!
When checking out the check was not correct as our room was charged with room service we didnt order. If this was related to the fact that we changed room during our stay I will not say but it took some time to get this sorted out.
The breakfast in the weekend was a buffet and during the week a a la carte. The buffet was a dissapointment but the a la carte was OK.
Our cleaner Liheylyn Hauey was super friendly but majority of staff is not.
The pictures makes the hotel looks a bit more fresher than it actually is! We felt it was a bit dated but its actually not so old! It just lack som TLC from staff to buildings to food.
Would we stay here again? Probably not.
Wonderful stay overall. The Koi Resort has Beautiful and clean rooms and caring staff. Damion in dining and Kimberly at Reception are the staff that went above and beyond. If there was ever an issue, the staff would care for us right away. Thank you very much to whole team!
The staff is phenomenon. Petula,Janelle, Larissa, and the other staff, provided excellent customer service to me and my godmother during our stay.
I wish water bottles were placed in the rooms.
The hotel was booked as part of a BA Holiday and I’m surprised this would be one of their offerings as it was disappointing and not up to the normal 4* standard of Hilton and the Curio Brand I have experienced in the past.
I had booked an ocean view king room which was a nice big spacious room, comfortable bed with great views but the balcony was very sparsely decorated with 2 lone chairs and no table. That was when you worked out how to open the crazy heavy sliding door! Water wasn’t included but thankfully being a silver Hilton Honours member this entitled me to water but u had to request it on 3 out of the 4 days of my stay.
It would have been helpful for reception to have maps of the island. They have a little shop which could be done out so much nicer. It has soft drinks, snacks and a few essential sanitary items but so much could be made of it selling postcards, local gifts etc
The hotel had a nice well equipped gym on the 4th floor with 24 hour access.
Things to bear in mind with the position of this hotel is that you lose the sun around 4pm, it’s very windy being on the Atlantic side and pool towels are a mission to get. You have to ask the restaurant staff and rather than having them all nicely folded by the pool they have to go and search in the back for them. Great if they’ve been laundered but not ideal when they’re still waiting to be done at 8.45am! It’s also worth noting the pool isn’t very big at all. There are about 15 sun loungers around the pool but when I checked in I was advised the hotel offered a shuttle at 11am to Frigate Bay with a return at 5.30pm but they don’t have any designated loungers there so you need to pay and sneak your pool towels out as they don’t allow you to take them out of the hotel and most people won’t have brought beach towels with them. A strange scenario to say the least as they don’t recommend swimming in the sea from the hotel.
The ultra lounge and pool bar, which were the
only 2 places for food open during my stay lacked any ambience and the quality of food was very disappointing. The breakfast is one of the worst I’ve had in a 4 star hotel. Very basic, no yoghurt or water which you’d expect on the most basic so essentially $20 for a cup
If tea, stale croissant and some pineapple and melon. The dinner menu was very limited and given that there are no restaurant’s within walking distance it would have been better to have more choice. They didn’t offer any happy hour which would have attracted more business.
All in all disappointing and not a fair reflection of what the island had to offer.

The only slight downside of this hotel is it's a little more remote than might appear on the map. I thought it would be walkable to Basseterre but it's more than an hour walk because the route is so convoluted. You really need a car or a scooter to stay here.

Reviewed Feb 16, 2026If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, Koi Resort is the place to go. It’s a bit far from shops and restaurants, but the on-site food was delicious. My room was spacious, and Joquanna of the housekeeping staff was especially efficient. Upon returning to my room, she had it in an impeccable manner.
The staff overall were very courteous and knowledgeable about activities to do around St. Kitts. My room also had both a shower and a separate tub, plus an ocean view that really enhanced the experience.
Wi-Fi was free, but it seemed a bit unstable. If you’re heading there for work, be sure to have adequate data or purchase a local SIM card.

To start off the limescale in the showers were beyond fathomable, rust bleeding from the hinges, fixtures in the bathroom were broken, dirty mirror upon arrival, dirty balcony sliding door. The amount of mosquitoes in our room felt like we were in a jungle.Being advertised as a 4 star hotel, not a cash grab monopoly,i would expect bottled water in rooms for guests, and actual cutlery to stir my expired coffee with, these are from housekeeping unacceptable.Personally the service felt sluggish,as i was waiting 12 minutes plus just to ask for a bottle of water keeping in mind it wasn’t
busy. The building was outdated and needed a serious upgrade, it was insufficiently lit .
To end off the trip, we paid almost $50 for a buffet for two, bare in mind there was no cutlery or plates, we ate our meal from the 2 small bowls left on the very sad buffet.
The front desk, and views were the only positives i could take away, they were helpful and quick.
To finish it off, when we arrived me and my wife had to haul our luggage to our room ,no luggage carrier was offered, staff looking around for better days.

Reviewed Jan 3, 2026Stayed Dec 27th 2025-3rd Jan 2026. I hade a great stay. The location was well situated to all the activities and. The view from my room was captivating with a peaceful atmosphere and the room attendants were on point. I stayed in Room 502 and my room was always well kept and tidy. The attendant for my room was friendly and kind and did a great job. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and helpful. Overall all the staff were friendly, kind and helpful especially when I came at a time were their carnival celebrations. Giving me ideas of where to go and the activities that were planned.
We stayed at Koi Resort over Christmas as a family with children who are 5 and 7 and overall had a very pleasant, relaxing experience—especially if you’re looking for a quieter, more secluded resort at a great price point.
The resort has stunning coastline views, and the pool was excellent for kids, with a wide platform around most of it that allowed them to safely walk and play. We even saw monkeys running across the pool deck or in the surrounding bushes many days. While the beach itself is very pretty, it’s on the rougher side of the island, so swimming isn’t recommended. You can still walk along the shore, and the resort does a good job keeping its stretch of beach clean. If you walk farther down beyond the property, you’ll notice plastic debris that has washed up, but this doesn’t detract from the views when you’re at the resort.
The atmosphere felt very private, as the resort was never crowded, especially around the pool. At times this was wonderful—peaceful, calm, and relaxing—but it could also feel a bit quiet or eerie if you’re looking for energy or socialization. This is a great choice for travelers who want tranquility rather than hustle and bustle.
Our room was excellent—spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the coastline and palms. The bathroom was particularly nice, with both a large shower and a big tub that worked well for kids.
Food was okay overall. We had the continental breakfast included via Hilton Honors, which typically included toast, cereal, scrambled eggs, juice, coffee, fresh fruit, and rotating items like pancakes, oatmeal, or bread pudding. One standout was the Indian dinner at the onsite restaurant, which was a five-course meal and very good. There is no kids’ menu, so we had to get a bit creative ordering simple pasta options for our children.
Unfortunately, service was somewhat inconsistent. Some staff members were warm and helpful, while others seemed stretched thin. We occasionally waited longer at the bar in the afternoons, and it felt like staffing or training might have been an issue. Housekeeping also missed replacing towels a couple of times during our stay.
A few practical notes for families:
- The on-site shop is very limited (sodas and a few random items), so bring essentials like sunscreen, bug spray, or medications. Otherwise you'll be driving across the island about 15-20 minutes to find stores with these.
- No pool or beach toys are provided, so bring your own—we were glad we did.
- Pool towels can’t be taken off property, so bring extra towels if you plan to explore other beaches.
- We’d strongly recommend renting a car, as most island attractions aren’t close by. The resort does offer shuttle service if you prefer not to drive.
Overall, Koi Resort is a beautiful, calm property with great views and comfortable rooms—ideal for families or couples seeking a peaceful getaway. Just plan ahead for kids’ needs, limited amenities on site, and transportation around the island.

Reviewed Dec 27, 2025Besides the island being beautiful and picturesque. The people here are so friendly and accommodating. The staff always went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and satisfied. I first want to mention Keanu, he greeted me with a drink or 3 upon arrival, he checked me in, he took my bags to my room and he even shuttled me around the island. This guy is truly an asset to this property. I also wanted to mention Cherlyn, she was always warm and friendly and made sure my room had everything that I needed. this trip would not have been amazing if it weren’t for people like them.

Reviewed Dec 27, 2025I hadto send this to management
Dear Management Team,
I am writing to formally share my concerns regarding my current stay at Koi Resort. While I appreciate the helpfulness and professionalism of your staff at the front desk, maintenance, room service, and in the restaurant, I regret to say that several aspects of the resort experience have been disappointing and are dampening what should have been an enjoyable holiday.
Key Issues Experienced
- Breakfast & Dining Options:
- The breakfast provided was a very basic continental selection, with no Caribbean choices or cultural variety.
- There was no explanation in advance that the offering would be so limited, and the lack of options made it difficult to eat properly during our stay.
- The food overall has been repetitive, with little effort to diversify menus or reflect local cuisine.
- Cultural Experience:
- During carnival season, one would expect music, themed foods, or cultural touches to enhance the atmosphere. Unfortunately, none of this was present, leaving the resort feeling disconnected from the vibrant local culture.
- Facilities & Restrictions:
- Guests are not permitted to take beach towels outside the hotel. While I was told this was due to previous misuse, it seems unfair to penalize current guests without offering a practical solution.
- The resort lacks entertainment options, with no relevant sports channels available and only a very limited shop selection. This contributes to an overall impression of the resort being basic and uninspiring.
Overall Impression
As a travel agent visiting to assess whether I could recommend Koi Resort to clients, I must be honest: at present, I would struggle to do so. The views are beautiful, and your staff are knowledgeable and welcoming, but the lack of food variety, cultural integration, and guest-friendly facilities significantly detract from the experience.
Request
I urge management to:
- Expand breakfast and dining options to include Caribbean and seasonal dishes.
- Incorporate cultural elements, especially during carnival season, to reflect the spirit of the island.
- Review guest restrictions (such as towel use) and implement fairer solutions.
- Improve entertainment and shopping facilities to match the price point of the resort.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the potential for Koi Resort to be a truly memorable destination is clear. However, without meaningful improvements, the current offering does not justify the cost or expectations of guests.

Reviewed Dec 15, 2025The KOI ended up being an excellent choice for me during my stay in Saint Kitts. It was off the beaten path a bit from the center of town. So a car or taxi is definitely the way to travel; and remember to bring USD or local currency in cash. The rooms were clean and well kept by the cleaning staff.
All of the local staff were generous and friendly. The servers were swift, attentive, and kind.
Tidiane in particular was very understanding; and it was a delight to be served by him during my time at the KOI. He made my stay noticeably more welcoming.

Reviewed Nov 24, 2025First off, I’d like to start with the positives. The room was excellent. We stayed in a partial sea view suite on the 5th floor. The balcony had a great view, but only 2 cheap chairs outside. Housekeeping did a great job cleaning everyday. They forgot towels one day, after taking our old towels, but that wasn’t the end of the world. The room was spacious and perfect for both my husband and I.
The service may be the worst I have had at a Hilton property. It is not up to Hilton standards. Our room was ready 45 minutes after check in time. We booked an extra night a few weeks prior and switched rooms after that first night. That was fine, except when our second room was ready, housekeeping was still cleaning it. We had nowhere to go, having checked out of our previous rooms. They did not want to combine the 2 reservations either so we didn’t have to switch. On the 5th night of our stay, a special guest was having a party at the penthouse suite. There was security eyeballing us while we went into our room which made our uncomfortable. The party was loud and they were flooding into the hallway outside our room. The front desk refused to do anything.
The location was fine. It is in the suburbs, but looked nothing like the pictures online. The poor was run down. Breakfast, which is usually included for Diamond members, only consisted oatmeal, fruit, and stale pastries. The gym was nice and motivated us to work out most mornings. But, there were no more amenities.
Following this stay, we will need to reevaluate keeping our Diamond status. We pay for the highest membership annually and expected more of Hilton. We have never had this poor of an experience ever at a Hilton property and were shocked to experience this. Hilton definitely needs to address this with this property.

Both were so sweet, and kept making sure that I was having a good time. Thank you all so much for everything.

My sister and I stayed at Koi in early October for her birthday getaway, and it was truly a wonderful experience. The room was clean and spacious enough and the hotel had a serene, zen vibe. We visited during the beginning of the shoulder season so it was a bit slow, be we loved it! The entire staff could not be more helpful, with tips on how to get around and things to do. Everyone was kind and pleasant. Of note was Petula at check-in who was very patient, as well as the bar/restaurant staff, especially but not only Tidiane, Rachel and V. Houskeeping should also be mentioned for bringing clean towels and anything else requested right away. There were two maintenance issues with the room during our stay but they were addressed timely by the engineer. The food in the restaurant was fresh and delicious. I had the quinoa salad three times within the 5 days I was at the hotel! The view of the ocean is beautiful. Even though we could not walk on the beach, one night we sat in the chairs and watched the super moon appear from behind the clouds. It was truly magical. If you want a tourist trap, Koi is not the place for you. Otherwise, you will definitely not regret staying there.

Reviewed Oct 26, 2025If you're looking for a resort that caters to your every whim, you must book Koi Resort. The location is secluded from the hustle and bustle of the island. I would recommend renting a basic car during your stay to allow you the option of exploring the rest of the beautiful island on your own schedule.
Food at the resort was excellent, with the best dinner entrees being the steak, lamb chops and the Saturday night special of lobster. Breakfast is listed as "Continental" but they are most accommodating and will work with you on breakfast choices. Egg is included in that breakfast if you added it onto your booking.
Our room was supposed to be the Oceanfront King. Upon check in, our room was not ready, so they bumped us up to the Oceanfront King Suite. Wow! The room was well maintained and had all the comforts that we needed. The housekeeping staff made sure we had everything we needed.
I can't rave enough about the staff. Everyone was making sure that my wife and I were happy and enjoying our stay. If you're looking to recharge your body batteries, the Koi resort is the one that will allow you to completely chill out. The meaning of Koi in Japanese is "the one for love". The experience we had was more Zen than Koi. We thank the entire staff for making our stay one that we soon won't forget.
