The room

Breakfast was very average. Noise from the incoming vehicles. Mossies in the room and on verandah. We checked out the next day instead staying there for the three days duration.

Hotel ma zdecydowanie najlepsze lata za sobą. Widać, że kiedyś musiało to być naprawdę świetne miejsce, ale obecnie obiekt wymaga pilnego remontu i odświeżenia. Wiele elementów jest mocno zużytych. Baterie są zakamieniałe i miejscami zardzewiałe, drzwi ciężko się otwierają, a wyposażenie, między innymi wiatraki, sprawia wrażenie starego i niewymienianego od lat. Cały hotel wygląda tak, jakby przez długi czas nie przeszedł żadnego większego refreshu. Szkoda, bo potencjał tego miejsca jest duży. Niestety obecny stan obiektu mocno obniża komfort pobytu. Na ten moment nie poleciłbym tego hotelu osobom, które oczekują zadbanego i nowoczesnego miejsca.

The gardens surrounding the villas were so beautiful and lush, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the vibe of the whole place was lovely.

Definitely could use a kitchenette section in the villas but it wasn't a massive issue. Just somewhere with power to utilise the kettel without having to find somewhere to plug it in each time.

I loved that this was an old school Bali resort, full of charm and personality. It was also amazing value in a greation location - walk to shops and beach, lots of spas close by. The report has everything you need and is perfect for young children. It felt very safe. The breakfast buffet was pretty good and the menu also had some good options. The lumbung style villas were very well stocked, really spacious and I loved the outdoor bathroom.

The pool could do with a little bit of a touch up, but for this price it was great value.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was excellent, right next to some amazing restaurants and bars. The rooms were spacious, with beautiful landscaping and a lovely pool area with a pool bar. The food at the restaurant was decent, and the breakfast was good enough considering the price we paid.

The furniture in the rooms is extremely outdated and in need of renovation. It was quite uncomfortable and even a little concerning, as none of the cabinets or drawers would close properly. The main door also had to be slammed to shut. To make matters worse, the bath towels had a strong smell of bleach, which made the overall experience rather unpleasant.

Our two storey villa was peaceful spacious and gorgeous also the staff were very attentive

The buffet breakfast could have had more on offer and I didnt like that we had to pay for better quality coffee each morning, I just decided to walk to a local Cafe and have a better breakfast and coffee there.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vila Lumbung and would happily stay here again. The staff were absolutely lovely throughout our stay. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The grounds and gardens are gorgeous and beautifully maintained, the pool area is fantastic, and everything around the hotel was very clean. We also thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails! We travelled as a family and really loved the atmosphere. It felt very family-friendly without being overcrowded or overly busy, so we could actually relax and enjoy the pool and surroundings. The location was also great, with plenty of restaurants, shops and other places within walking distance, and anything a little further away was only a short and inexpensive taxi ride. Oh, and the beds were huge and very very comfortable!

The accommodation itself is a little dated, but we expected that given this isn't a five-star resort and it certainly didn't detract from our stay. The only real negative was that the kitchen area in our accommodation had a mild old/musty smell. We weren't planning to use the kitchen anyway, so we simply kept the door closed and it wasn't an issue for us.

This hotel is in a good location and is away from the traffic of Seminyak. The staff are friendly. The pool area is nice but we never got to try it as it’s one of those hotels where people are up early, reserve sun-beds and don’t leave all day(not my thing).

This is a very dated hotel and could do with a lick of paint. The towels in the bathroom were grey and have probably been used and washed so many times they have lost any white colour. The breakfast was very poor, flies all over the jams and pastries and just not an inspiring selection.

I ended up staying three nights instead of one and SO HAPPY I did! The breakfast was fabulous and the staff was even better. So safe, clean and stunning grounds. Will definitely be back!

Cleaners did not lock my door properly after cleaning the room and I returned with unlocked door to my personal belongings (passport and electrical items).

Lovely grounds, staff very polite and helpful. Welcome drink and refresher towel on arrival (daytime). Staff at entrance gate were always a pleasure and assisted with traffic crossing!

- hotel is zeer verouderd en moet worden gemoderniseerd. - te weinig ligbedden bij het zwembad. Deze worden vroeg in de ochtend al met handdoeken bezet gehouden - beperkte keuze ontbijtbuffet, lage kwaliteit - kamers zijn niet comfortabel. Douche in bad met vies gordijn, krakend houten bed.

Breakfast was average for a buffet, it's a shame the fruit juice was not freshly squeezed, and the coffee wasn't terribly good. Room was clean and spacious, and the king bed was comfortable, shower had excellent pressure, location was excellent, close to plenty of shopping and fabulous restaurants and Potato Heads and Bodywork Day Spa, a must visit. The gardens were lovely and well kept.

Whilst the villa was spacious and clean it needed a bit of TLC. The sunlounges by the pool were tired and worn out and could do with replacing as some cushions worn out and flat and far too heavy to move around as some of the wheels were broken. The stove in the kitchen wasn't working but had no intentions of cooking anyway.

The room was large and very private, the grounds were beautifully lush and well-kept, the included breakfast was great, and while we didn't use it the pool looked phenomenal, with a swim-up bar.

Walking paths were a bit uneven. They were very easy to navigate for us but may be a bit difficult with a mobility aid. The shower was inside the bath and had a significant step to get in and out, so this may also be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

The location was perfect, central to all the shops restaurants & night life but tucked away down a lane so it was a tranquil oasis. The breakfast was ample and changed daily. The moment we stepped into Villa Lumbung we were looked after, the reception staff are warm & friendly, they helped us book a trip and arranged transport. The rooms were made up daily & were immaculate. The restaurant staff are friendly and efficient. The bar staff are fun & engaging (special mention to Adi & Gustu) excellent cocktail makers! The guys on the security gate look after you when leaving & entering the property. We loved how they always ask where you are heading help to cross you over the road & then always come and greet you when you return. These guys are really special. Excellent location, incredible staff. We will be back.

Staff were lovely and accommodating, and housekeeping did a great job. The pool area was excellent and the location is great.

Unfortunately, breakfast was cold and soggy, bathrooms are in serious need of a refresh, and the air conditioning barely worked. Towels were dirty, rooms weren’t soundproof, and the gym was pointless as one treadmill didn’t work and the other had exposed wires.The poolside loungers were also poorly managed, with guests leaving towels all day and no staff monitoring. A simple policy like releasing unattended loungers after an hour would make a big difference. Overall, while the staff, pool, and location were positives, the facilities, food and upkeep let the hotel down.

The room was traditional Bali style and we loved how spacious it was and the outdoor secluded bathroom. We also enjoyed our own space with our own outdoor seating area looking into the wonderful gardens.

This was a beautiful place with a great pool not to far from the waterside, next to a fancy cafe and with a fabulous outdoor area. The breakfast was also exceptional and the rooms were lovely.

Unfortunately had a terrible experience where some guests (from my country) were so hideously drunk and swearing in the pool so loudly absolutely everyone had left. When I tried to speak to them about their behavior they threatened to sexually assault me and called me all sorts of really crude names - which when I reported to management, they did nothing about it so I had to stay in my room the entire night, as I was not certain if they would actually be violent or not. Very irresponsible serving of alcohol to very clearly too drunk young boys.

They spread us in three different rooms and the rooms weren’t attached so that was a little bit annoying but other than that, everything was great

Excellent location

The toilet had a constant drip, so we shut the door and the air conditioner sprang a leek, the cleaners put down a towel. Other than that everything worked perfectly it didn’t affect our stay.

Beautiful Balinese style villas set in lush gardens, friendly staff and great location.

Staff were wonderful and location was good. Very quiet even though close to street. Helpful Guards at the front to assist in crossing the road. Breakfast included was adequate

My bathroom smelt of drains and the shower was over the bath with no handrails. As I am elderly I was not able to use the shower and used the one in my Friend's Villa. I did request a different room but was told nothing available. For this reason I probably wouldn't stay there again

We loved our stay overall. The attention to detail throughout the hotel was excellent, and the staff were genuinely lovely, friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good overall, and despite a couple of minor points, we had a really enjoyable experience. We'd happily stay here again.

The hot breakfast selection could have been a little better, as it wasn't quite as strong as the rest of the breakfast offering. The hotel could also do with a little care and attention in places, although nothing that detracted from our stay. Finally, more sun loungers would be a welcome addition, as they were in high demand.

Everything is a little dated and in need of a little TLC, but this is exactly why it's great value. Mosquitoes in the outdoor bathroom!

Hotel Vila Lumbung is a beautiful property with stunning tropical grounds and an incredibly peaceful atmosphere. Tucked away just far enough from the hustle and bustle, it feels like a hidden oasis while still being conveniently located. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful—nothing was ever too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The food was excellent, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Hotel Vila Lumbung for a relaxing Bail holiday with outstanding service.

The resort is on the older side but extremely value for money where the positives out weigh the negatives.

Beautiful hotel, great pool area, lovely staff. Loved my room with an outdoor bathroom with both waterfall shower and bath. Very close to everything right outside the door.

The resort was beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the pool and the swim up bar. It was quiet and safe but close to shopping and restaurants. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The aircon worked well as did the wifi.

The room was nice and spacey. The prices are affordable. The garden was like Avatar very beautiful.

Cleaning was ok , but the bathroom sink was a disgusting under the plug. The hotel Lumbung reminds me of old times from the 70` and 80`, a little bit “old school” style. I like that, but the hotel need an allover upgrading. The garden is perfect with the old large trees and plants, but the small paths, need to be renovated. The breakfast restaurant is disappointing. Instead of hanging posters on the walls, find som good art instead. Fresh flowers in a big vase is always very refreshing. You also need to take a good look of the breakfast. You served very bad “butter”. Margarine is no good for you breakfast.. The containers with fresh water and juice was dirty.
