Great service, friendly staff, very hospitable! Kimo from the entertainment team was amazing!
I joined my family at the hotel three days after their arrival. Unfortunately, I was disappointed by the attitude of some of the staff. The security guard at the main entrance was very disrespectful when I arrived for check-in. He insisted that I call a family member to come and complete the check-in instead of allowing me to go directly to the reception. unprofessional attitude The animation team was also too pushy, repeatedly trying to involve guests in activities without respecting their private time . In my opinion, the hotel needs to improve its staff recruitment, training, and customer service. I personally do not recommend this hotel.
Ambiance trop belle Très bon service❤️❤️
Very bad service in restaurant The rest is great
we stayed here for the second time this august and the entertainment team and all the staff were so kind and accommodating again. we can’t wait to come back again
The best entertainment in the country. Very nice and friendly staff for entertainment and a great atmosphere for everyone. Thanks for all you did for us.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The best entertainment. The only good thing in the hotel.
The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is nice
The hotel is amazing. The staff is very pleasant, the place is very clean. The food is good and the pool is wonderful. The animation team does it's best and they never cease to amaze. Waterpolo, archery, dancing, fire show, a lot of things to see. Every recommendation for this hotel. Thank you Houda!
Entertainment team are very friendly and fun. We've been here five days so far and spoken with them everyday. Didn't feel pressurised into taking part when we first arrived. There was a pool foam party yesterday and activities everyday Enjoying our first holiday to Tunisia
I don’t like the food change the chef please
The staff are the only thing that save this hotel completely. The animation team are absolutely amazing, the restaurant staff are great, bar staff came across a bit moody at times and kept giving people the complete wrong alcohol to what they asked for. They only had 3 full fat options on the menu for soft drinks so if you only drink diet options I wouldn't bother. The food was very average, it turned both mine and my partners stomachs very weird and the queues for the food at lunch and dinner are ridiculous, there were also flies on the food a few times which completely put us off. The hotel is extremely clean to be fair, cannot fault the cleaning ladies who don't seem to stop cleaning and are always very polite. Reception were polite but not very helpful, we had no working aircon for almost 4 days and had to ask a total of 12 times for this to actually be fixed and even then it caused our room roof to leak dirty water which took another day to be fixed, they eventually stopped the leak but left the room floor completely soaked with water which I came in to the room and slipped on, causing me to fall and really hurt my leg. We only stayed 7 days and it took 4 to get the aircon working and not leaking, the remaining 3 days we had very bad aircon that we barely felt, but we honestly couldn't be bothered complaining anymore. The room itself was so run down and different to the pictures so don't go expecting luxury, I don't know how this hotel is 4 stars to be honest.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ For the price, this place is really excellent value overall. The location is very convenient too – there’s a mosque not far away, lots of shops nearby, and a shopping centre close by as well. Food is decent and changes daily, with fresh pizza and pasta made every day. There are a few downsides though. The air conditioning in the room didn’t work properly – I mentioned it twice to get it fixed, and while it makes noise like it’s running, the cooling is really weak. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms at first, only in the lobby and downstairs; this was only sorted out 5 days into our stay. Also, there’s no iron in the room – if you need clothes pressed, you have to give them to staff and pay extra for the service. Overall, despite these annoyances, it’s still a great option for what you pay.
Amazing friendly team and they were so helpful and chatty throughout our time here.
Houda Yasmine was a great stay, The staff were fantastic and very friendly. The entertainment had shown great enthusiasm and effort to interact with all of the guests from minute one. The only downside i would say was the low quality of the Air con in the room as it made little to no difference.
After reading both on TripAdvisor and Facebook. I didn't agree with the bad comments I love the entertainment team are fabulous and made you feel safe and happy and made sure you had all you needed. Cleaning staff trust worthy. Managers deeply helpful food was alot of it cooked fresh. Drinks were not watered down.felt very safe out of hotel. Loved it that much am booking to go back next year 100% 100 would recommend
After reading reviews both on Facebook and on TripAdvisor I was very apprehensive however I was extremely pleasantly surprised Staff, animation team and also housekeeping were all lovely friendly and accommodating, big shoutout to Pepito from animation team who was especially lovely, food was repetitive but delicious qnd there was always something to eat. cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch .hotel is a bit dated. However for what you pay you are getting an absolute bargain. We are definitely coming back next September as we enjoyed our stay very much.
it was a really good experience they were all really friendly and positive !! the entertainment crew are really nice especially taki , jo and
It was an amazing experience! All the workers were amazing and also the hotel, the view, the weather! I will definitely come back when i can!
really good location right by beach a lot of places around shop right outside for anything you need entertainment team brilliant
It was fun I love it here I like the entertainment I would come again
I am writing this review on my final day at the hotel while waiting in the lounge for our airport transfer, which was approximately 5½ hours after checkout. Having now experienced the hotel from arrival through to departure, I feel able to provide a balanced and honest review that reflects both the positives and the negatives. The hotel has some genuine strengths. The food was consistently the best part of our stay, with an excellent variety at every meal. Its location is also fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and right next to Yasmine Hammamet Marina, making it easy to explore the local area. The hammam was another highlight. The staff there clearly cared about providing a relaxing experience. The scrub, massage and overall treatment were excellent—I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep during the massage. It was a wonderful addition to the hotel and one of the experiences I would happily recommend. Several members of the restaurant staff also deserve recognition, particularly Kasim, who always greeted us with a smile and consistently went out of his way to help despite the language barrier. There was also a hardworking lady who cleaned the restaurant throughout every meal service and was always friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the positives were overshadowed by too many issues elsewhere. Our initial room was not ready for guests, reception staff were often rude or dismissive, communication was poor, the Wi-Fi was unreliable, housekeeping standards were inconsistent, and we repeatedly had to ask for basic amenities such as towels and toilet paper. The rooms themselves also need modernisation. Although I appreciated practical features such as the bidet, the bathrooms felt cramped, dated and poorly designed. Having a bath with a detachable shower head and an old shower curtain made the bathroom feel less clean and less pleasant than it should have been. Even though my friend and I kept the room tidy ourselves throughout our stay, the room never gave the impression of a comfortable four-star hotel. Restaurant service was inconsistent. While some staff were excellent, there were multiple occasions where we waited significant amounts of time for cutlery, napkins or drinks after requesting them, sometimes having to ask several different waiters before receiving them. Finally, although I cannot comment on the reasons behind it, there were occasions where my friend and I felt overlooked compared with other guests. There were instances where our requests were delayed while guests arriving afterwards were served first. Whether intentional or not, this affected how welcome we felt during our stay. Overall, this hotel has the foundations of a good holiday destination thanks to its excellent food, location, spa facilities and several genuinely caring staff members. However, customer service, communication, housekeeping standards and room quality require significant improvement. Sadly, despite the enjoyable aspects of our holiday, I would not choose to stay here again, nor would I personally recommend it unless these issues are addressed.
The entertainment team were fun and engaging. Our “children” are teenagers and so don’t take part in the activities but there seemed to be plenty on offer and the children who were with them seemed happy
The animation team was really friendly and the staff were always helpful with any problems i encountered.
What I liked the most was the staff. They were really friendly and helpful, the atmosphere was great, really close to the beach and other attraction points and the rooms were pretty clean. The only thing that could be better are the room's bathrooms. But everything paid off in the end.
Great experience, entertainment is the best part about it
The hotel was very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly
Entertainment staff amazing!! The lady who cleans the toilet downstairs by reception is absolutely amazing also! Only let down is the food x
The animation team and the rest of the hotel were the friendliest most accommodating group of people I have ever encountered on holiday. Nothing was too much trouble and tleverythung was done with a smile
After a delayed outward flight we arrived at 3.30am. Myself and my 80 year old friend both walk with walking sticks as struggle with mobility. The guy on reception said he would give us a nice room. Our booking was for a twin room with garden view. We he gave us was a 2nd floor standard double small room, at the furthest point from the lift. With a view of a public cutway filled with rubbish piles. Although we separated the 2 single beds pushed together, there wasn’t even enough room to have a bedside table each. The walk to and from the lift took us a good 10mins to reach. The room was cleaned daily by a very lovely lady, who would make our beds and arrange our nightwear into cute flower shapes. On arrival we found a plate of food and some bottled water, which was certainly needed after our long day. The serving staff were all super friendly, with waiters putting flowers on tables and ensuring guests had a pleasant time. I struggled with the food options even though there was plenty of them and lived mainly on soup and fruit. The outside cooking area I avoided after the 1st day, after queuing for 15 mins to find the chef dipping his ladle into raw Turkey to put on the griddle then promptly using same ladle to dish up the already cooked. The snack bar offers panini’s, chicken nuggets and crepes. Not an ice cream or ice lolly in sight, although there is a small shop you can purchase one from next door to hotel entrance. I had mixed feeling in regards to the entertainment team. Our first evening out, we were told that the hotel had a nightclub next door, where we get a free drink on arrival and reserved area. We had one drink, the entertainers stopped entertaining and just sat around looking bored. We decided to leave, only to be told that we needed to pay for our drink. The price was steap at 65D which I questioned. The barman stated that we had ordered doubles, which we had not. Not having enough Dina’s I ended up throwing the 40 I had and £15 English money at him and stormed out, as I don’t like being taken advantage of anywhere and never went back, warning other guests to be careful. I’d also watch with bingo and tombola prices, some guests were charged 10D per tickets, others 20D. Making it a lil unfair. When I raised this to an entertainer he shouted at me, saying why are you trying to sabatoge my tombola! The only entertaining and consistently polite one of them was Kemo. He was a fabulous entertainer with a vibrant personality to match. He definitely got a tip from us! The spa was fabulous, I had the best massage ever! All the staff friendly and helpful. It cost us 10D to get a taxi to Marina one evening, which was lovely, however expect a lot of jasmin sellers harassing you, even when you are eating a meal, small children and disabled will approach begging for Dina’s. I should have brought more small change with me in hindsight. There’s a creepy guy called Muhammad who wonders around the hotel selling excursions and trying to get women to leave the hotel with him. He’s the only male whilst away that acted in appropriately towards me. Yes there were lots of lovely compliments being given from staff members but nothing that was sleazy or out of order. He made me feel uncomfortable at times. For a cheap all inc escape this hotel is great, however it’s not one that I will be returning to.
Bad food, dirty and stained rooms, the women at reception have nasty attitudes especially Asma and Hadil. Idk how this hotel is being rated more than 2 stars, it is outdated and run down but advertised as modern. The bathroom leaks, the door was hard to open it was like I was trynna break in to my own room. The wifi didnt exist outside by the pool, and would lag in the room and outside hotel. I would not recommend to my worst enemy
Location is not bad, only 15min walk to Madina Bazar where is very beautiful. Atmosphere in hotel is good, entertainment team works hard, I enjoyed every day new activities. Rooms- OH WELL, 1st dont hope so much, I felt like hotrl was more paying attention on joined arears like lobby, reception but rooms have been forgotten. First, I paid for upgrated room but hotel gave it to someone else, I refused stay in basic room where balcony door was impossible open, bathroom was needed be done for long time! There was only 1 more room free where I staid over night. Next day I moved into the room which I booked. Roomwas ok but AGAIN bathroom was same- filthy. Another thing they dont provide standart "world" service- housekeeper doesn't know what amd how many towels are meant to be in each room, sign "Do not disturb" I have to ask housekeeper as well but it wasnt provided, when asked she got it from Rubbish BIN!!! It should be fresh in each room. Its norm. But in same time I would like to say' after 8pm I said that have no hairdryer in my bathroom, joiner fit it in 20 minutes. If you book rooms face to pool be ready for all day noise but all week what I staid there, nighttime is very quite, and peaceful. I would like to say stay away from downstairs jewellery little shop, near Spa. Sailing cheap stuff, saying its silver. Had issues, when was, asked to return money, become aggressive and rude. Beach is around 5min walk, not bad but I didn't want to go to. Male staff member were very obsessed with us- females. Every second one was trying to get number etc. Food was not bad, can find what to eat if you are not too fussy only didn't understand why I should stay in long long queue to get 1 spoon of fries or little bit chicken. Why cant just walk, serve and go.
This was our first trip to Tunisia and our last. The hotel was classed as 4 star I personally don't know how it got 4 Stars it was more 2 Star. There was only one lift working the other was out of action the whole time we were there. The room we were allocated was nothing like the rooms shown on the website. There was one draw and four coat hangers in one cupboard. There was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, I went to reception five days on the run to request one and each time I was told it will be with you today it never arrived. The restaurant was laid out with different stations of food which as the weeks progressed they got less and less. The coffee machines and juice machine were constantly breaking down or running out of milk. Most days you couldn't find a cup to put the drink in. Cutlery was a major problem people trying to find some to eat their food with. The food was terrible and seemed to be roughly the same things recycled. They certainly don't cater for people from other countries. The only reason we have given them a one star was because of the Entertainment staff and all the other staff in the hotel who did their best to make your holiday as best they could. This does not include reception or management. The noise was unbearable on the corridors and people had no respect for other guests no matter what time of the night it was. The pool lad was brilliant he took really good care of us as did the waiter in the restaurant. The waiter by the pool was very attentive and made sure we had water and drinks all day. The children's pool was full of small children that had been left by their parents whilst they went off to eat meaning the life guard had to be on alert all the time especially when they were climbing out and trying to get in the big pool. Parents were feeding the children in the pool. Someone decided it was ok to use the pool as a toilet and a member of staff had to fish it out with a net and then proceeded to throw it behind a bush at the side of the pool and then wash the net in the shower by the pool . I certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone not even my worst enemy. I can only say think really hard before you book this hotel.
Ok so we.love Tunisia and visit at least once or twice a year but we decided to try a different hotel and I wanted to pay to go home after 3 days. Good points, most staff are friendly, smiling and helpful. But that's about it, food lack of variety, lack of space , long queues, then entertainment at night mostly accomadating other languages but not English. Rooms some are in disrepair, some look pretty modern, it's pot luck. Indoor pool small and closed in summer, personally I feel it should be open, for people with kids or who.are.avoiding the sun. I love swimming but once got burnt had to stay out the.pool. I.wont be.returning here , got to suffer another 5 days till go.home and if I could afford to I'd be on way home now. Don't let photos deceive you, lobby area is stunning, pool.is busy but fight for beds, all the time have been here only 1 lift running. Also air conditioning is.very weak, loud and barely touches room temperature. Heat here this week has been 30 - 37 degrees, it's super hot, no ice cream unless.bought at shops, water not always refrigerated. Sent emails complaining about indoor pool being closed.but no reply. Unhappy and can't wait to go.home.
We are staying at the hotel now. The rooms are not clean. The cleaners don't knock. One was like a ninja she crept in and took towels out of the bathroom before 9am. We asked several times for towels and 2 days later we were still having to use our pool towels. Rooms really need updating and a good clean. Many other guests had the same problems getting towels. The food is disgusting and repetitive. We have eaten out every day after husband had 2 dead flies floating in the sauce on the chicken. Dining room was full of flies. The waiters in the bar were friendly. Every day people were getting up early and putting towel on the loungers by the pool. Not enough sunbeds to go around. The beach bar only serves soft drinks and it's quite a walk from the hotel. The hotel is not on the main promenade. So lone females might feel a bit unsafe walking into the main restaurant/shopping area of hammamet on an evening.
I stayed here with my partner and mother early in June. I wasn't sure at first but as the week went on it got better and better. The staff were excellent, everyone was so friendly. Special mention to Asma on reception who has endless patience and would humour me in my attempts at speaking French. Even though she spoke perfect English. In the restaurant Maher really looked after us every day. Some days he would have 3 glasses of red wine on the table before we'd sat down. We stayed on the third floor, the room was bright and cleaned every day. We always found sunbeds and an umbrella to shelter under. Every meal we found something to eat and my mother and partner loved the desserts. Some people found the music around the pool too loud but it never stopped any of us from falling asleep! The entertainment team encouraged everyone to join in their games and what I liked the most was mixing with all the different nationalities. WiFi worked well in reception and around the pool but was on off in the room. All in all we had a lovely holiday and would gladly return to this hotel.
This holiday was booked as an EasyJet package, and overall I had a very good holiday at Huda Yasmine, but there were some significant issues. The most serious problem was that my girlfriend was severely electrocuted by the hairdryer in the bathroom. It was a very frightening experience and something that should be addressed immediately for guest safety. The bathroom itself had ongoing problems throughout our stay. The drain was broken, which meant the bathroom floor was constantly flooded and often left covered in water. Some of the staff were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately many seemed rude and uninterested. At times, we felt unwelcome. Female guests should also be aware that there was a lot of unwanted attention from men, including some staff members and many locals. We experienced frequent staring, catcalling, honking from passing vehicles, and harassment whenever we were outside the hotel, which made us feel uncomfortable. The food was generally tasty, although the menu became repetitive after a few days. The cocktails were mixed in quality—some were excellent, but most were practically undrinkable. Despite being advertised as an all-inclusive hotel, only around six alcoholic drinks were included, which felt quite limited. One thing that was disappointing was that, despite being a spa hotel, the spa facilities were not free to use and required an additional charge. The air conditioning was mediocre, and our room remained hot most of the time. The room itself was nice, but it did not look as good as it did in the promotional photos. On a positive note, the pool party was amazing and was definitely one of the highlights of the holiday. Despite the issues, I still had a very good time overall and enjoyed my stay. Overall, I would say this hotel has potential and offers some enjoyable experiences, but there are several areas that need significant improvement, particularly regarding maintenance, safety, service, and guest comfort.
Amazingw and clean hotel. The incredible views. The very clean rooms, the cleaning girls simply phenomenal, we would like to give a special greeting to Najet, he was always in the mind that our stay was more comfortable. The hotel team in general are great and very helpful, we will definitely return. Great food and very good quality. We'll be back next year.. 10/10
Wouldn’t say was a 4* but what we paid for the holiday reflected that. Food wasn’t too great all bland apart from the snack bar. Some nights even I struggled finding something to eat and I’m not fussy. Only had chips once in a week. Pizza and pasta everyday and a meat rice dish. Vegetables everyday too. Puddings were very nice. Drinks were local products and mostly warm. Room was very clean and cleaned everyday. The pool area was also kept very clean never had an issue getting a bed as we went early but if you was looking for a bed around 11 that may have been an issue. At weekends they have local students stay and omg you know about it. The hotel struggle to cope when really busy. We didn’t have an issue but others did say the students ran around the hotel banging and trying to get into your room. Keep valuables in a safe as again we didn’t have an issue but another couple there left a purse out and had all the money in there taken. Entertainment are great keep you involved with activities if you want and will always come around to have a chat with you. Bar staff were great too most of them very friendly.
Would not recommend. The reception area is very lively nice and clean however it ends here. The bedrooms were poorly kept. Had to pay for the safe. The bathroom wasn’t that good and had like mold in the crevices and stains on the floors. The animation team are all perverts (besides Ali who was lovely). The food AWFUL not much variety and didn’t taste good whatever they did have available and then the flies to top it off were even worse. Man at the reception with glasses has a horrible attitude jsut because he doesn’t understand English very well. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone not worth the money at all.
Major issues encountered: Deplorable Hygiene: Giant cockroaches in the room, extensive mold in the bathroom, and a severe shortage of plates in the restaurant. Water Issues: Tap water smells strongly of sewage. While you can adjust the faucet, the water alternates between running scalding hot and freezing cold rather than mixing into a comfortable, warm temperature. Terrible Food & Unsanitary Buffet: Meals were either raw or burnt, with swarms of flies covering the buffet. Birds eat directly from uncleared tables while the staff does nothing. Long, frustrating queues at breakfast just to get a slice of cheese because the staff rations it. Deafening Noise: Extremely old and loud air conditioning units and mini-fridges that force you to turn them off at night just to sleep. Blaring music plays at the pool and throughout the hotel until 11:00 PM, alongside drunk guests shouting in the corridors. Intrusive Staff & Atmosphere: Pool entertainment staff constantly harass guests to buy bingo tickets or join activities, ignoring personal boundaries. Aggressive street vendors are also allowed on site. Outdated Facilities: Old furniture with a foul, musty smell so strong that you cannot store your clothes inside. Terribly slow Wi-Fi (3.4 Mbps) and only one functioning elevator out of two. Suffocating Heat: The air conditioning in the lobby was turned off, making the reception area unbearably hot. Disappointing "All-Inclusive" Service: Only 5 low-quality, syrup-heavy cocktails available. Decent coffee is only served at the bar after 10:00 AM unless you tip the bartender cash, at which point the bar magically opens early. Restaurant coffee machines are unhygienic and broken. Language Barrier: 90% of the evening entertainment shows are exclusively in French.
The attraction overall was amazing... I recommend to all family come and visit.
Animation team amazing especially Eva. Made my holiday special. Joe Freddie eamon all amazing
Great atmosphere with very fun attractions. Really nice service everyone is very kind
Amazing hotel food good quality animation brilliant could not fault the place
Firstly, I read reviews before I went and there were some shockers! If you want a 5star luxury hotel, don't go. Look at the price and be realistic about expectations! The rooms are a little dated and aren't luxurious. They are adequate, clean and comfortable. No tea/coffee making facilities so bring travel kettle if it's that important to you.No pool towels provided so bring your own. All public areas are kept immaculately clean, staff were friendly and waiters/bar staff were great. Animation team were enthusiastic but also friendly to us even though we weren't interested in activities. Sun loungers and shades fantastic, pool clean and chilly but early season. Around 300 guests when we were there so fairly quiet and plenty of space. High season can be 700 and that may be crowded. Freddie head animator was a lovely man and always took time to interact and chat,Ava and Joe also friendly. Jamal was our restaurant waiter and he looked after us very well, keeping our wine coming! Food was reasonable, lots of choice, and always something to eat, it's a buffet so look round and find something! Cakes, breads and pastries fresh and delicious and strawberries galore! Flies are a bit of a nuisance but you learn to ignore them! We had a very good 10 days, weather was good for 9 of them and got progressively warmer. Nice tan!
Entertainment was fab and the entertainers were very nice and welcoming
We have just come back from a week in Tunisia and we had a wonderful time. The staff were super friendly and really made us feel welcome. The room and the whole hotel was spotless and really beautiful decor. The food was nice but got a bit samey, although this is somewhat to be expected in all inclusive hotels. I would 100% recommend getting a massage as it was glorious!! The only thing I didn’t like was the persistent selling from the people who ran the excursions. We felt a bit harassed by them the moment we stepped into the reception area and they only left us alone once we booked and payed for an excursion. However the pirate ship trip we booked through them was amazing and well worth the money! The local area is a bit run down and the beaches are a bit dirty. This is a perfect hotel if you want to just relax whilst on holiday and not do much in the surrounding area! I couldn’t fault the staff, they were all very welcoming and kind, especially with our young son. The lady (I believe was called Ava/ Eva was especially lovely). There was lots on throughout the day and entertainment in the evenings which was good fun. If I was going back to Tunisia I would definitely book this hotel again!!
where do I start....sorry this may be a little long... For starters, this hotel is absolutely not a 4 star hotel; more of a 3-star. Upon arriving, we had to wait 2 hours for a room to be prepared (although we did arrive early) and the porter was friendly (and was tipped £5) after we entered the card-activated room which did match the pictures on the website, but upon closer inspection is dated, our bath plug was missing, the shower head was too close to the wall (for taller people this is a problem) on the sloping bath and the shower head would not sit correctly due to the loose shower fitting which was never fixed; the bath contained paint flakes and the bath itself was non-white to be polite. As others have pointed out, there are no drawers or storage space whatsoever in the rooms. Clothes hangers are in short supply and only 3 shelves were available in the very dated wardrobes. Power failed whilst in the room; air conditioning was noisy and worked minimally. The mini fridge was noisy and had to be turned off at night; there was no hair-drying (and no kettle so bring one with you); the curtains are thin so the Sun breaks through at 5am and thick dust was seen on the wood paneling in the green and grey room facing the pool we were staying in which was satisfactorily clean. Checking in went smoothly and when the room was available, the staff did inform us whilst we were beside the good-sized pool which isn't very warm even when the Sun was blazing hot. Now, the bad sides.. That first night, the 'Animation' members were awfully inquisitive as to where we keep our money and were far too touchy-feely with ourselves and our possessions. They were very insistent for us to participate (usually at some cost) and then we were ignored when we don't include ourselves in what could be seen as childish or puerile activities like bingo. The poolside music is loud when the 'Animation' team perform their many programs through the day and the team awkwardly sit down next to you uninvited. We were told by other guests that there was no activities for children and was badly advertised. In fact, most of the details about this hotel are inaccurate and in need of updating, including the stock images which sell the hotel, such as the non-private beach that doesn't lead from the hotel! It is actually a 10-minute walk where you may encounter the hotel 'Chef' (more on this later). The bar cocktails are sparse, the 'Celtia' beer is not the best tasting and that's your only choice apart from Heineken and maybe Becks. The drinks menu was very basic such as vodka, rum, whiskey, ect and the staff are initially pleasant at the beginning (more on this later). The entertainment is not quite as advertised ('live music' is actually just a vocalist with backing tracks) or audience participation with karaoke. And 99% in French which means we had no clue how to interact with the other 'activities' for the primary-French audience. if you don't speak french, you may have a problem enjoying the night time entertainment. The Restaurant: Breakfasts were great and had a wide selection to choose from, such as omelettes, fruit, toast, cereals, pancakes and traditional Tunisian breakfasts. Sadly though, this becomes rather noisy as other posters have mentioned, the gluttony of certain gusts from certain regions produces lots of food waste and the loud chatter. HINT: If you like a large cup of coffee/tea in the morning, buy a large souvenir cup as the restaurant cups are 'continental' and on the small side, when the machines are actually working or in need of replenishment as a few times the machine dried up or only one was working and the fruit juice machine was like this more than once. Staff are cordial and always ask if you require anything. There is lack of cutlery, napkins and labeling on the food placards on offer or language (generally in French). And then there's the lack of netting for the flies over the food. This is a big problem. Food was interesting and tasy, but the chicken and fish contained many bones and there was not a huge selection of fish dishes considering the Sea close by. As many other reviewers have noted, dinner choices becomes repetitive after about 3 days and food dishes are cycled except on weekends when the hotel has an influx of 'locals' (but that food is not for the rest of the hotel guests). There is a strange clique within the hotel we noticed. The waiters are attentive and there is a good choice of salads, side dishes, sweets, deserts and fresh pizza made outside on the terrace to enjoy. . Pros and cons : Lessons learned * Beware the 'Chef' that greets you on the street to lure you to a friend's shop to fleece you of some of your dinars before you even start your holiday (Hint: Turn your hotel wristband over so they cannot see what hotel you're staying in) * Beware the man with the Falcon by the Marina - he may plonk a bird on your arm and demand dinars for it. * The staff rely heavily on tips and will attempt to take as much as they can by serving you as a waiter. Do not feel guilty if you do not tip every time. If you do, they will expect it every time. They are ungrateful and expect too much from the guests they serve. They demand paper tips, not lower denomination coins as one waiter. Salah, informed me, a dinar or two " is worthless to me, it's like 50p". Save tips for the end of your stay and see how you are treated beforehand. *Be prepared to be ignored if you do not tip or tip enough or participate in the 'entertainment' *There was no snack bar between lunch and dinner and no ice-cream for the children (or adults") *There is a definite communication problem in Tunisia overall and getting to and from places is a nightmare and quite unnerving at times as we traveled to Tunis and Carthage and signage is not multi-lingual for the tourists they attract and mostly in arabic or french. FInal thoughts: Some of our experiences have left a bad taste in the mouth, especially when leaving the country and exchanging Dinars back to your own currency. Warning: Do keep the A4 paper receipt when changing money as without it, you will lose those dinars at the airport as you need that paper receipt. We were never told that. We would not recommend this hotel as it's clearly not a 4-star hotel as mentioned earlier, but if you can ignore all of the above, it's a pleasant break from the norm, relatively cheap, hot weather when not overcast, the masseuse was good and hotel services were reasonable.
This hotel is great, the entertainment team were fabulous, Aymen was fantastic, Freddie was full of energy and gave my mum a great birthday show. The hotel food is great, service was great, no complaints at all.
Really lovely hotel to stay in I highly recommend. Staff was really friendly and food was amazing. Entertainment was really enjoyable as it was my mothers birthday they really went above and beyond for her.
Check in efficient and precise. When i requested a room change it was carried out within a few hours.
Do not even consider this hotel, you will be very disappointed. The restaurant needs to be in 2 sittings to accommodate the amount of people (mainly locals). They like to have around 5 plates per person on their table at the same time. They eat like they have not eaten for days. This means that the isn't much choice left for anyone else except the flies. The food was very poor anyway, always cold. The reception was very unhelpful. I arrived at around 10.30am, after travelling since 1.30am, to be told that I would have to wait in the lounge until a room was ready for me. Three and a half hours later was given a room. I was hot, tired and unable to change into something cooler. This Hotel only deserves to be 2 stars at the most. Do not know how it got 4 stars.
Rooms were poor quality with bad facilities, our air conditioning and more than half the outlets did not work in our room, the buffet is swamped with locals who act like they have never eaten anything before, food is constantly covered with flies and birds, there is no food covering to stop them getting into the food, the staffs priorities are always the local Tunisian people who will get better quality and quicker service than any European guest, the animation / entertainment team are friendly and welcoming although some can be too persistent, have also heard stories about SOME people quite touchy with female guests and being persistent about going to their room with them, Aymen was by far the best animation team member, always friendly, never persistent, would come sit with us, chat, smoke but knew when to leave, top man, and truly cares about the guests, the bar staff are always friendly and are as quick as possible even when busy, reception can come across quite rude and unwelcoming to European guests but are for the most part okay, it is not a 4 star hotel, the entertainment is catered for French speakers, so if you do not know French you cannot participate in the quiz etc, management seem to treat their staff horribly, there is a very friendly young man who serves in the outside area of the buffet who asked us if we wanted a drink, he was then scolded by his manager as it was “not his job” very unprofessional management, who once again only cater for the local guests, if you do stay here, stay from Monday and leave on a Friday, as the locals come in coaches to stay on the weekend, there is no food, no glasses, no rooms and no service whilst they are there, very disappointing woudnt stay unless you are a local Tunisian.
Great staff , very friendly. Reception very helpful , Great entertainment, big thanks to Joe especially for keeping me informed of daily events, Great ambassadors for entertainment also like to mention Eva, freedy and Aymen part of the animation team. Great respect.
Very friendly team very entertaining had a great time with them animation is excellent special thanks for Djo and all the team freedy Eva aymen that have great energy we had a great time with them all thank you again to the animation team❤️
Lovely hotel, nice local food. Staff seem nice. I did have some problems though, the harrassment from staff and other guests was unacceptable. It took another guest to check on me and invite me to join him for me not to be pestered. There's a man who acted like the owner, not in uniform but very involved, he wanted to take me out for food and drinks. I was alone, I said no politely. He then decided to drink my drinks which I had, the other British guest saw this and then took me under his wing for the remainder of my stay. Another day, an Algerian guest followed me to my room and wanted me to let him in, knowing my door didn't actually lock nor did my balcony I was very frightened during my stay. The bar staff were lovely generally, they noticed I spoke French which they appreciated but some who knew I was English, prompted creepy behaviour. There was apparently a private area on the beach, but after my first day, they came and collected all the sun beds, it wasn't clear where the hotel's section was on the beach either. It is not somewhere I would return.
Nice clean hotel, bar staff great and our room was lovely food was ok, very tunisian but always something to eat, restaurantvery disorganised never any cutelry, reception staff incredibly rude and arrogant
We stayed at Houda Yasmine for a Christmas getaway, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations at all. The hotel is nothing like what is advertised, and the room was a real let-down. It fell far short of what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The bedsheets were stained, and the duvet was also stained with no cover provided. Although smoke alarms are installed, people smoke freely in the lounge with little consideration for others, making the shared areas very uncomfortable. The dining experience improved once the crowds left, and a waiter named Gadour treated us well. The Christmas Eve dinner and entertainment were actually very good and were the highlight of our stay. Sadly, this was the only real positive. Pepitto and Freddie were friendly and entertaining. I strongly advise not to book excursions with Mohammed at the hotel. The excursions he sells are a scam. We were charged £71 for two people for a camel ride in the mountains and village, which never happened. Do not trust him. The cleaner entered my room without knocking, and we had to chase her for something as basic as a towel, as ours was wet. Overall, the hotel clearly needs better management, improved staff training, and maintenance upgrades. The rooms were cold, several lights were faulty, and both the TV and telephone appeared to be purely decorative as they did not work. Another guest mentioned experiencing the same issues, so it was not just our room. It’s a real shame, as the hotel has potential but is currently very disappointing.
It was really a horrible experience . since day one , we were shocked by the poor conditions of rooms , they're not like the photos at ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I SWEAR . Really poorly equipped rooms , lack of lighting in the rooms and the hallways (it was like being in a horror movie !!!) , bad smell , lack of good internet quality , the staff was unwelcoming ,misunderstanding and unhelpful. And what's more, the price was exorbitant and exaggerated compared to the dire situation we found. It never deserves 4 stars at ALLLLLLL !!! A REAL DECEPTION !!!!!!!
That was my worst experience in my own country.. The hotel is alright the staff are great but as young guy who have a european blonde wife its a nightmare for me with the algerianas guests who are all over. They dont respect anybody around they keep looking at my blonde wife all the time and their men's have no respect for woman's and when they are in the restaurant they get the food like they never ate before.. They waste food like its nothing they dont respect the line.. And i couldn't leave my wife alone for a single minute which is crazy... If you have any european looking girl or even older woman i definitely don't recommend it.. Otherwise the staff are so polite
It’s a beautiful hotel. The location is great and the staff are friendly. I really enjoyed my holiday there. I would recommend it.
Houda hotel was brilliant come away for my birthday with my husband it it a fantastic hotel I will becoming back Entertainment was so good there is activities everyday. Restaurant nice bar brilliant 👏
Had a brilliant twoweeks with my wife at the hotel hotel in brilliant and entertainment throughout the day and night. There is different entertainment everyday hotel is beautiful out door pool is clean bit to cold for November but the indoor poolis great 👍
Definitely not 4 ⭐️ star 1) ROOM: a) TV not working Hairdryer not working One bedside light not working Shower floods the floor b) Cleaner enters room randomly during the day; I was woken from an afternoon nap because she just entered to check my towels! c) No cup to make tea in room; asked 3 staff members but ended up every day having to ask for a cup at the bar - not 4 Star! d) the fruit on arrival and the 1 mini bottle of shower gel on arrival are your lot for the duration. Your room will never get a top-up. e) room & balcony doors don‘t lock, keep your valuables with you at all times. f) Floors are very clean but mirrors etc don’t get cleaned quite so much. Bedding also doesn’t get changed during the whole week. 2) DINING ROOM: a) as others have pointed out, there’s a tier system where you sit, if you get a vase & folded linen napkin or just paper serviette on your table, if the table is laid for you with glasses & 1st/2nd course knives/forks or you have to hunt your own cutlery etc - don’t tip and you get nothing b) staff will kiss your hand then ask for 5 star review without doing anything The blue VIP bracelet is given to those guests expected to be generous tippers (probably based on what Job/earnings potential you put on the registry form at check-in). It does not get you anything extra.
Good animation team ( Pipito And dj mappa) food Is So good , room.is looks likes Nice , verry good hotel , good people , Will be miss this hotel
Clean and confortable hotel ; Great spot to enjoy your vacation with your family , friends , great place to discover activities ...
El Houda Yasmine delivered comfort, great service, and a relaxing stay—highly recommended!” ### m bappe Great time ...
Excellent food and very attentive staff. Everthing well organised. Freddie from the Animation team was fantastic. Excellent value for money
Hotel in a good location. Clean and staff very friendly. food was good but not great. Drinks were good. Enjoyed the hotel and, at the price , would visit again.
Great day visiting Tunis today for the first time, such a beautiful city and was made even better with Fredi who was a great tour guide. For someone who loves to get their photograph taken in a tourist spot, Fredi knew exactly where to get the best photos! I would highly recommend going with him at any given opportunity.
I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Hauda Yasmine! Everything from start to finish exceeded my expectations. The animation team was incredible – especially Pipito and Eva, who brought so much fun and energy to every activity. They truly made our stay unforgettable! The food was excellent with a great variety of delicious options every day. Fresh, well-prepared, and always satisfying. The spa services were wonderful. I enjoyed a relaxing massage that left me feeling completely refreshed and pampered. Highly recommend! The pool area was very clean and well-maintained. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy the sunshine. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality made us feel truly welcome.
The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Everyone is so pleasant and willing. The animation team Freddy and Pepito work tirelessly to bring a good atmosphere around the pool. I travelled out of season so it was quiet. The servers are lovely especially Salah and Faisal who are lovely gentleman and work so hard. This hotel may be classed as 4 star here in Tunisia but it would be 3 star at best at home. Food was ok. Lots of choice and I enjoyed it but a lot of English people would be disappointed with the lack of “fast food” especially if travelling with children who want burgers and fries etc. It was repetitive but honestly there were so many options I just tried something different every day. Some of the rooms are very dated. All of them are basic and they turn off the aircon out of season (after 15 September!!! - I never heard of that before!). The sealant around the bathroom was done by a 5 year old. Could have done a better job myself. Had to change room on arrival because my room was dirty. They changed it without hesitation so all was good. Ignore the journey from the airport. That will be an eye opener. Hammamet tourist area is clean-and perfectly safe. Get your bartering hat on and enjoy!!
Beautiful experience at yasmine.recommend it to anyone who wants a relaxed holiday .entertainment guys are amazing especially for the kids
Lovely hotel, basic rooms and food but its clean and its the staff that make the place amazing! From first arrival they've been so great and the waiters are so helpful, friendly and always topping up your drinks. The animation team are the best ive experienced in tunisa. Full of fun and dont know how the do it working those long hours. Ignore any bad reviews and make your own mind up. Definitely glad I came here
The hotel is lovely people are very friendly and you have everything plus the staff are very helpful and there's a shop 😀 x
OK am reviewing my experience with houda yasmine as a hotel and staff, the food and communal areas. To start it beats my expecting of a 4 star hotel cus I have been in a few in spain n other places that can't be compared to this hotel. They are constantly cleaning the room the communal areas, I mean constantly cleaning The entertainment is really good for what u pay for. The animation team through out the day organising activities for everyone n to top it up theres a show every evening. The curly hair lady Leila I think her name is, is so lovely n good with kids, Pipito is funny as f😂 The restaurant for me as fussy eater is really good cus there is something for everyone, breakfast omlettes, pancakes, doughnuts, scrabble sausages, but off course some have a North African spin to it as expected, lunch n dinner is good, u have variety, food is sometimes cold but it's the case when the restaurant first opens but the have a microwave at hand so warning up 30secs does the trick. The outdoor pool is neat, like wise the indoor pool. They have a private beach which isn't great in terms of cleanliness cus it littered but I haven't seen any beach around that's not littered to some extent. I have seen 2 cocroaches in communal areas but these are common in Africa just like rats n foxes are common in UK. Don't worry about reviews if u want to, just go experience it and make ur own opinion
I had a really enjoyable stay at Hotel Houda Yasmin. The staff were welcoming and always ready to help with anything I needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the pool area was definitely the highlight — perfect for relaxing during the day. The entertainment team kept things lively with fun activities, and the beach nearby was beautiful and easy to access. The only downside was the fly situation, especially around the outdoor dining areas. It didn’t ruin the experience, but it was noticeable at times. I hope the hotel finds a way to better manage it because everything else was fantastic.
It was great in many ways! The food was okay and the service was great. The only downside was the fly situation. In conclusion, the place was nice.
Great experience nice surprise by the hotel cleaned and neat Amazing entertainment and animation team is absolutely brilliant Thinking to book it again Highly recommend
The kids club was the best ever . Super experience for the kids . What a great team Morning noon and night . The shows were very entertaining
Having read all the awful reviews we were worried about what we would find. So it was a nice surprise to find that it’s not as bad as people say. Ok, it is run down and could do with a makeover, but it is a clean hotel with friendly staff who all work very hard to keep the guests happy. The rooms are not as the pictures show, but are large and comfortable. The swimming pool is very good and we had no problems with the sun beds. The restaurant only deserves 3 stars because the food is monotonous, there is nothing to keep the flies off the food and at busy times they run out of cutlery and glasses. The restaurant staff however deserve 5 stars, they were very good. The hotel is well situated near the centre of Yasmine and only a 5 minute walk from the beach. We enjoyed our break, but both think 7 days is long enough, we had gone for 10 days and after 5 were fed up of the food. We would go again. Take a travel kettle with you, there isn’t one in the rooms.
Eva, Fredy, Ronaldo and pepeto made our whole holiday where amazing with the children, funny and friendly always hotel felt safe, always engaging and we was looked after by other hotel staff too as a group two women and five children it can seem a little scary but they took all our worries away , I honestly have no complaints, rooms needed a little updating but the rest of the hotel is very nice and I had a lovely massage experience too overall it was great
All perfect here and will definitely return next year plenty of beds around the pool. Animation team very verygood. The room is clean and I am very happy. The hygiene here is excellent. Haven’t suffered from the food and have eaten their salad. It’s a great hotel for the price.
Had a fantastic time. The animation group wer absolutely fab. The restaurant staff wer also great. Brilliant time had by all xx
amazing week away! great staff especially the animation team! ( ronaldo) very attentive and excellent with children! very clean and the food is great
We love the entertainment staff they are by far the best!! They make this hotel. The best entertainment we have ever experienced. Hotel is very clean the cleaning staff work very hard. Shame the food let this hotel down. I give 5 stars for the staff.
Animation Team are very good they have Many excellent ideas for their work Lovely dancing and games for everyone❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Having a really nice time over here. The whole of the staff are super great especially Mbappé, Would happily recommend this for people after a budget friendly holiday.
Had a lovely time despite some of the bad reviews. The animation team were GREAT, so entertaining and always walking around talking to guest, with a smile on their face. Hotel was lovely and food was yummy. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms basic but clean. Overall a fabulous few days away
Absolutely fantastic animation! Really engaging and so much fun, lots to do. Freddy, Ronaldo, Pipito & Lorenzo amazing 😍
Enjoyed our trip to Houda Yasmine. Clean rooms, great staff. Relaxed by the pool every day. Lots of activities during the day
Good hotel for what you pay . From uk its more a 3 start than a 4 . Rooms clean and spacious and entertainment staff are amazing . Especially Ronaldo
We’ve had such a brilliant time at the Houda Yasmine! The animation team have been absolutely fantastic — so friendly, fun and full of energy. I’ve loved getting involved in all the activities, and a big shoutout to Ronaldo, Fredy, Ziko, Lorenzo, Salma, Pipito, M’bappe and the rest of the team — they all work so hard and have made our holiday so special for both me and my mum. The restaurant is great too, with really good food and perfect meal times. The evening entertainment has been amazing — something for everyone, adults and kids alike. All of the staff are super attentive and always happy to help. It’s been such a pleasant, welcoming stay so far and we honestly couldn’t ask for more. Would 100% recommend the Houda Yasmine to friends and family.
Animation Group was Nice, food was good and loved the pool. Rooms were nice. Locals were friendly. Check-in was easy. Thank you !
Do not choose this hotel if you expect a 4-star standard. The hotel is worn, there is a working socket in the room, the key is missing for the safety box, threadbare towels, hard beds and a general lack of wifi (however, wifi is available at the reception). It is also humid in the room. Since we live on the bottom floor, we are careful to lock the balcony door, every day when we come home the cleaning lady has either unlocked it or even left the door wide open. The shower is not cleaned at all. The bottles of shower gel that are available are half filled with water, but we had our own, luckily. Regarding the restaurant, the breakfast selection is extremely poor, it mostly consists of pastries. No fruit, no spreads, grainy yoghurt. However, there are fried eggs to order Lunch and dinner are ok, if you do not expect good service. Since you cannot get your own drinks, you have to wait, and wait, for disorganized staff. There are plenty of staff who mostly walk around without structure and you are lucky if they pay attention to you, even if you call on them. Half the time they still forget your order or parts of it. You often have to get cutlery and glasses yourself, if you are lucky enough to find them somewhere. You have to borrow salt and pepper from other tables, as they are missing from at least half of them. The service in the bar is ok, but most of the time they run out of wine and beer glasses and it is served in small drinking glasses instead. I feel that some staff in the bar are more service-oriented than in the restaurant. Evening activities are nice, but perhaps mostly for French speakers. The noise level is high, I am glad that we had rooms further away from that area. It is stated that it is about 100 m to the beach, in reality 450. The beach has the potential to be a dream with fine sand, turquoise water and plenty of sun loungers. Instead, it's pretty trashy and full of pushy salespeople who refuse to take no for an answer and try to scam you. All in all, choose another destination, for the same money you'll find much better.
It was lovely have no complaints. Rooms need a bid up updating . Staff friendly rooms clean hamza in dining room is great he really spoilt us .
The hotel rooms are quite basic, though they were cleaned daily, which was appreciated. There was always plenty of food available, but it wasn’t clear what the dishes actually were — signs only said things like “chicken” or “rice,” without explaining what type of dish it was. At busy times, the queues for food were very long. You also had to be careful with items cooked on the grill, as food was occasionally served undercooked, and staff didn’t seem concerned when this was pointed out. I used the laundry service during my stay. While my clothes were cleaned, they weren’t ironed, and one t-shirt was missing when the laundry was returned. When I raised this with staff, my complaint was dismissed, and no effort was made to resolve it. Around the pool, the music was sometimes extremely loud during the day, which made it difficult to relax. On a positive note, the entertainment and animation team were excellent — they really were the highlight of the holiday. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for anyone travelling with a young family.
Brilliant hotel staff an entertainment amazing pipeto zico Ronaldo Freddie all amazing would come back as entertainment tram made are holiday
Myself and my partner have just returned home from a week stay at this hotel (end of September into early October). We changed up some money at the airport so that we could settle the tourist tax on arrival at the hotel (£62). Our private transfer took 1 hour. We arrived at 1am and some food and water had been left in our room. The hotel itself is nice, but our room was bog standard. Bathroom run down and the floor tiles grubby looking. Nothing like the photos we had seen when booking. The maid came in and cleaned our room daily. The aircon wasn’t working and when questioned, they said it had all been turned off. We left the balcony door open constantly. Free WiFi but it only worked on the ground floor and even then, the connection was very hit and miss. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the waiters and bar staff. The animation team were great, loved a chat and a laugh, but they do insist that you join in with the activities and dances etc which is not great for those who don’t feel confident. They also try and convince you to buy T shirts like theirs (we were given 2 T shirts that we said we didn’t want to order, told they wouldn’t be ordered and then charged £30). The entertainment is good and varied, but some things are the same everyday. They do all work very hard for very little pay, so it is nice that they get to know everyone and make such an effort to keep you laughing and smiling! The weather was nice and warm when the sun was out, but it was quite cloudy/overcast most days unfortunately. I was only bitten once by a mosquito, but there were lots of flies around the pool and in the restaurant which became annoying. The pool was nice and a decent size. There wasn’t an awful lot of variety food wise, but I am a basic eater anyway, so stuck with pasta or pizza. My partner would’ve liked more options. The alcohol is very basic like beer, wine, vodka and rum. All made very strong, I was asking for little alcohol. There are some basic cocktails available on all inclusive and more well known cocktails available at a charge. Towels were not provided, so make sure you take some towels for the pool or beach. We didn’t go to the beach, but did take a swim in the sea when we were on the pirate boat trip and it was lovely. The pirate boat trip was good, but they let so many people on that it was crowded. The staff went round to everyone at the end and asked for a tip. When we got off the boat, a man put parrots and falcons on our shoulders and then tried to charge us £20. We also done the quad bike ride which was fun, we both really enjoyed it! Sadly, we saw lots of stray, hungry, poorly animals and chickens cooped up in metal cages as we were going round on the quads. This was horrible to see and upset me. I know this is normal for people who live in some countries, but it broke my heart to see so many animals suffering. My partner had a back massage at the hotel and I had a facial. Both treatments were reasonably priced. The facial was painful and uncomfortable as they focus more on prodding around with a metal tool. It wasn’t relaxing like the facials I normally have, but my skin did feel good afterwards. There are quite a few shops around, but you have to be very careful as they lure you in and try to charge you a fortune! You are not left to just browse, and feel pressured to buy things. One shop in particular we had already spent 60 odd pounds but the man became unhappy that I wouldn’t buy a handbag on the way out. I said I would prefer the bag if it was black and he dropped the price to £10. I explained I don’t wear tan colour and he told me to just buy it and throw it in the bin then as it’s only £10! The shop at the hotel is lovely, you are left alone and their prices are very reasonable. You also have to watch for scammers when you are out as they will say “I work at your hotel, don’t you remember me?” and then ask you for money as a tip. Also, the taxis and horse carriages will keep stopping and asking you to ride with them. You just have to be strict and say no if you don’t want to. You basically need to take money everywhere you go as you will be talked into something. It is a shame that their pay rates are so poor, but you are made to feel as if you have all the money in the world and should spend it or tip everyone. We did tip one waiter as he looked after us with our drinks in the restaurant all week, and kindly offered to reserve us a table on our last evening and decorated it. Overall, it was a nice holiday and good to experience Tunisia, but we felt ready to go home from day 5. I would say this hotel is more like 3 than 4 star and personally, we wouldn’t return to the country. Sorry for the long review and the negatives parts, but I have tried to cover everything and be honest. Everyone has different opinions and personal preferences!
