Excellent location

We had 2 rooms for 2 couples and checked in late for our stay . On a 90+ degree day, NEITHER air conditioning unit worked. We complained to the management and were told that they would switch our rooms the next day, which they did. However we sweltered through that first night. The “mini-bar”, an empty refrigerator, had some mold inside which we had to clean out.

We (my partner and I and another couple who are friends) had rooms 201 and 202. There was an awful odour in both rooms, but in 201 it was particularly bad. The cleaning staff can’t have not known about it! The air conditioning in 201 was noisy (sounded like a jet engine). The aircon in room 202 barely worked, and the shower tap needs fixing. The bed in 201 had a great dip in the middle; the one in 201 was rock hard. Such a shame, because if these things were addressed, it would have been a nice hotel.

Die Lage zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten und zur Altstadt ist gut . Die Betten waren für uns in Ordnung und wir konnten gut schlafen. Als wir die defekte Klimaanlage bemängelten hätten wir sofort in ein anderes Zimmer wechseln können.

Wer gerne Frühstückt für den ist das Hotel eher nichts. Den Kaffee fanden wir trotz Vollautomat wir schrecklich und auch sonst waren die angebotenen Waren eher unterdurchschnittlich. Leider sind die Zimmer /Bad schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Seifenspender hängten gerade noch so an der Wand und die Silikonfugen waren teilweise nicht mehr vorhanden.

De kamer was bij aankomst helaas niet schoon. De wc-bril was bruin verkleurd door urine, de douche was vies en ook de mini-koelkast was niet schoon. Toen we dit aangaven, liep de schoonmaakster met ons mee naar de kamer en was zij het er duidelijk niet mee eens. Ze reageerde erg boos, waardoor wij ons ontzettend ongemakkelijk voelden. Daarna wel een iets nettere kamer gekregen (zie foto’s) Het ontbijt was daarnaast erg matig en stelde weinig voor. Al met al was dit helaas geen prettig verblijf.

Walking distance to all the sites, rooms were clean and very nicely decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful, specially Michele was very nice. I will definitely recommend this hotel.

Nestled in the historic center of Palermo, it gave us the feeling that every beautiful street was only a few steps away. Yet the greatest treasure of this hotel was not its location—it was its people. The staff welcomed us with such genuine warmth and kindness that, after every day of wandering Sicily, it felt like coming home. The elegant atmosphere, the peaceful mornings, and the timeless charm of the palace made our stay even more special. If Palermo is a poem, Hotel Joli is one of its gentlest verses.

Location is excellent. Few minutes from bus stop. You need 10 minutes max to reach Politeama on the one side and Teatro Massimo If you go to the left of the hotel… The bathroom is a bit tiny, but the room was always clean, and the towels were changed every day.

We found bedbugs in our room around midnight the first night of our honeymoon stay. There was a crack near the door where they were coming out and we also found one in the bed. The front desk immediately offered us another room, unfortunately much worse room that you have to enter on a steep staircase from the first floor, with no view, no balcony, and broken shower head. We would have appreciated somebody addressing the issue later on, but the staff seemed to ignore it. A simple question about our satisfaction or a little complementary something would be enough. Bedbugs are annoying, unhygienic, make your night terrible (changing rooms at 1am is NOT fun), plus it might take weeks to properly decontaminate your belongings. That's why we feel like the hotel managed the situation very poorly.

La chambre - l’accueil - les équipements L’établissement nous a donné la chambre 104 au rdc. Cette chambre devrait être rénovée ou fermée ou les gens qui louent devraient avoir une réduction conséquente et être prévenus !!! Pas de fenêtre ou peu - vétuste Douche insalubre et pas aux normes pour un hôtel qui se dit de ce standing. C’est abusé !! Chambre bruyante ( on a entendu nos voisins jusqu’à 3 heures entre douche et toilette ) Accueil étrange entre personnel froid, en réhabilitation (!) et familial (?!), on ne sait pas trop sur quel pieds danser même si on est full tolérant il faut prévenir ! Vraiment on revient de trois semaines en Italie et finir sur cette note à Palerme ce n’est pas possible.

After reading some of the reviews, I became quite skeptical about the accommodation. However, once we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind that this is a 3-star hotel and is very affordable, so I think that should be taken into consideration when judging it. Let’s start with the location, which is excellent. The hotel is away from the hustle and bustle, but still only about a 15-minute walk from the city centre. There is a supermarket and a park right nearby, and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area. Several bus stops are also within 150–200 metres of the hotel. The staff deserves special praise. Everyone was extremely friendly, polite, and willing to help with anything we needed. We really appreciated their hospitality. As for cleanliness, we have no complaints at all. The bed linen was clean and tidy, the bathroom was clean, and the towels were fresh. Every morning, the room was serviced, the bed was made, and the towels and bed linen were changed. Every two days, the floor was thoroughly cleaned, and you could clearly smell that the room had been freshly cleaned. We stayed in room 101. To sum it up: considering that this is a 3-star hotel and that the price is very reasonable, I honestly have absolutely no complaints. Our visit to Palermo was definitely made better by staying at this hotel. I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for affordable accommodation in a good location.

I liked the hotel, and although I had read negative things about the housekeeping, I must say the place is exceptionally clean. It has good connections to the airport and train station, is within walking distance of the city's main attractions, is close to public transport stops, and—not least—there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Breakfast consisted of a croissant, yogurt, one type of yellow cheese, some cold cuts, and muesli; the bread wasn't to my taste—just a type of white loaf and some small rolls—along with biscuits and a few other sweet items. You certainly wouldn't go hungry, but personally, I didn't enjoy it. The coffee and cappuccino are excellent. The bathroom is small and cramped.

Chambre limite, nous étions au 3eme etage, un pan de mur était abîmé, le dessus du couvre lit était tâché. La douche un peu petite avec impossibilité de prendre le pomeau car c est fixé au mur. Le petit déjeuner n est pas très copieux, très peu de choix et les jus ne sont absolument pas bons.

Authentic building with lots of very impressive art work throughout the hotel, location was not bad and about 5/10 minute walk away from the main tourist area of Palermo.

Rooms were quite dated and the bathroom was extremely small, only enough space to step in and out of the shower.

Nella stanza 306 il clima non raffreddava, il mobilio è molto mal disposto e ruba un sacco di spazio e le tende a baldacchino sulle finestre sono una cosa polverosa ed orrenda, i copriletto rappezzati insomma e le pennellate sul muro di colore diverso potrebbero esser sistemate… insomma un minimo di manutenzione e make up non guasterebbe

El hotel es pintoresco. Tiene lo justo para ser cómodo. Las habitaciones 105 y 202 tenía doble puerta ventana con balcón. Muy iluminado y ventilado. La ubicación es excelente.

A lift is very small, if you are travelling with a bigger luggage you may rather use stairs.
