Nirwana Resort Hotel

The grounds are large and expansive and the location is heavenly. There is lots of wildlife and if you know where to find them, you can spot the monkeys regularly. There are multiple beaches that you can wander to and explore. We didn't confirm our arrival time but was pleasently surprised to find a complementary driver waiting for us at the ferry terminal to take us to the accommodation, and there are regular services to return you to the terminal. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had hoped to go on the snorkelling trip but couldn't because they won't take partes fewer than 4 and there was only 2 of us. This was disappointing but the hotel tried to add us to existing bookings twice; unfortunately on one occasion, the other party pulled out, and the following day the trip was cancelled due to bad weather, but the staff did an excellent job of pro-actively trying to get us on the trip, and communicating with us. We couldn't have asked for more (apart from a more flexible approach to small groups of travellers). There are a number of accommodations, bars and restaurants across Lagoi which are all connected, and there are shuttles running between them, so you can get around easily. The range at breakfast at Nirwana was good, especially given the hotel was quiet at the time, and the Indian curries were particularly delicious. Soya milk was available which is a great but rare treat for dairy-free guests. The food on site was overall good, and as a veggie there were a range of options. We took the shuttle to the Indian restaurant which was our favourite; the service and food were exceptional. We didn't try the range of activities on offer apart from fun fishing; this was very cheap and the guide was helpful - my son caught seven fish.

Firstly, the cost of food and especially drink. The bar menu was VERY expensive overall. Of course you don't expect 'cheap' in 5* and have to factor in import taxes but £68 for a bottle of wine, PLUS 20% tax is absurd; this isn't the Shangri-La! Even a small tin of local beer equated to £6. All of the restaurants & bars across the complex share the same bar menu, so you can't just find somewhere more reasonably priced. The on-site shops are no help as they're poorly stocked; I could get ion drinks, condoms and rosewater, but not Coca-Cola??? The Lagoi area is effectively one large complex which, although mostly unspoiled forest, did make it pretty much impossible to get anywhere else. We managed to get to a local shop en route to a mangrove excursion and picked up 3 large tins of beer for less than the price of 1 small beer at Nirwana, excluding the 20% tax. Regardless of whether I could afford the prices or not, I felt guests were exploited because we had no other option. Had the prices been more reasonable I'd have spent far more than I did, but I curbed my spending simply because I felt ripped off. We travelled on to Singapore and spent far less on food and drink there, so it's not just an inevitable symptom of being 'almost in Singapore'. My other complaint is that, while the beaches in front of the accomodations were impeccable, there was noticeable trash elsewhere. We found some beautiful little beaches to swim and snorkel, but not only were the less visited parts awash with plastic bottles, trash bags had been dumped where, assumably, they'd be less noticeable to visitors. IMO it would be better for staff who spend hours cleaning already-immaculate beaches to attend to these areas instead, as much to protect the many species of wildlife here as for tourists' benefit. At the floating bar/seafood restaurant, we observed the live fish were kept very unethically and were in very poor condition.

ニルワナリゾートホテルには3泊4日の滞在でしたが、8月は観光のピーク期から外れているようで、混雑を気にせずリラックスでき、またホテルのスタッフの方やアクティビティーのガイドの方のサービスが親切で、快適な滞在を楽しむことができました。 ホテルの設備ですが、プールは広く、小さい子供が遊べる浅い部分と、大人が泳ぐのに適した深い部分(150cmくらい)があり、快適でした。上にも書きましたが、8月はシンガポールの長期休みとは重なっていないようで、ホテルの最繁忙期ではないようです。プールもビーチも混雑しておらず、快適でした。プール脇でタオルを人数分借りて、日本から持参した浮き輪やボートに空気を入れてもらって楽しく遊びました。 朝食のレベルも高かったと思います。インドネシア系、中華系、インド系の主食/おかずが毎日それぞれ2-3品ずつ、それに加えて西洋風のラインナップもあり、メニューも毎日変わり飽きませんでした。また、その場で調理してくれるオムレツコーナーや6種類から選べるインスタントラーメン(ヌードル)のコーナーもありました。 初日の夕食はホテルの西の浜辺近くにあるケロンシーフードレストランで食べました。ホテルの建物から歩いても20分程度のようで、歩行者用の小道もありましたが、フロントから定期的に車での送迎があり、便利でした。ちなみに定期送迎を逃してしまい、レストランの予約時間に遅れてしまうところだったのですが、特別に車を出してもらえました。車の送迎に限らず、ホテルのサービスは全般的に親切でフレキシブルだったと思います。 フロントの近くにアクティビティの予約をできるコーナーがあり、滞在二日目にはマングローブ林を抜ける川下り、三日目にはビンタン山の登山に参加しました。ホテル発着の車での送迎があり、現地では別のガイドの方が引き継ぐという形です。川下りは午後3時の回に参加しましたが、親切なガイドの方が、ワニ、蛇、トカゲなど目ざとく見つけては教えてくれました。三日目の登山は急勾配の場所も多く、それなりに大変でした。登山からの帰りにはガイドさんがドリアンの販売所に連れて行ってくれ、剥きたての小ぶりのドリアンを一つ、1000円以下で購入して家族全員で食べました。 ビンタン島にはシンガポールの空港から向かったのですが、空港とタナ・メラ フェリーターミナルの間の交通が、距離的には大したことがないのですが、少しわかりにくかったです。空港からは、空港のターミナルとタナ・メラ フェリーターミナルを循環するシャトルバスを使いましたが、空港内のバスの停留所が少し見つけにくかったことと、乗車前にオンライン登録が必要なことが面倒でした。ビンタンからの帰りはシャトルバスが適当な時刻になく、またフェリーの乗船客が一度に降りてタクシースタンドが混み合ったので、Grabでタクシーを捕まえました。

We stayed for two nights at a ground floor room with views of the back garden. We very much liked the location, the very friendly and always smiling staff, the beach, the pool and the breakfast, Great location , on logs, in the sea for the Kelong sea food restaurant and the Kalypso Bar

コインランドリーが昔あったはずなんですが、今は無く部屋のランドリーサービスしかないのがちょっと残念でした。1週間近く滞在していて、家族も子供含め人数がいる場合はランドリーでささっと使える方が助かります。

It had beautiful views and was very relaxing. Everything was easy to walk to or get the free shuttle and the staff went out of their way to look after us. We enjoyed the white sand beaches and warm sea, pools with different depths and jacuzzi jets, ten pin bowling, scuba diving, snorkelling, massage, reflexology and the info centre helped us book a taxi for a private trip to temples. There were various places to eat around the resort and buffet breakfasts were plentiful and there was plenty of choice.

The bed was a bit too hard but okay when we slept on top of the duvet. I had to ask for vegan food at breakfast, but on subsequent days they brought me suitable foods.

Beach is clean, quiet and great to relax and snorkel in pools were fun, clean and loved both the swim up bar and the slide Kids club has many fun activities indoor and outdoor, but the bowling alley is super outdated, but still provides family fun The food, even though the restaurants were limited, was still very delicious The rooms were clean, properly air-conditioned, and well equipped with toiletries.

We have stayed here twice and were not told about this second pool until another friend stayed and showed us.

Very disappointing experience with the F&B team I had spoken to the reception team in advance and requested that our breakfast, which was included in our package, be packed for us as we had to check out very early in the morning. I was informed that only bread items would be provided and that coffee and milk for my child would not be packed. Since my 2-year-old would not eat bread, I briefly tried to feed him some soft food at the breakfast area. He did not finish it, so I ate the last two spoonfuls from his bowl. My husband was only in the reception area and did not eat anything from the breakfast spread. What was extremely disappointing was the way the F&B manager handled the situation. He quietly came to reception and took away our packed breakfast. When I asked why, he said, “I saw you eating in the breakfast area.” I calmly explained what had actually happened, but instead of understanding the situation, he continued to treat us as though we had deliberately taken advantage of the breakfast arrangement. After a heated argument, he eventually returned our packed breakfast — but gave us less than half of what had originally been packed. The way it was handed back made us feel as though we were being given food as charity rather than receiving the breakfast that was already included in the package we had paid for. It was extremely humiliating and completely unnecessary. If there was a policy regarding consuming breakfast at the restaurant while having a packed breakfast, it could have been communicated politely and professionally. Instead, the attitude, body language and manner in which this was handled made us feel as though we were stealing food, despite having paid a significant amount for our weekend package. The reception team also offered no support, simply saying that F&B was not their department. It wasn’t about the food or the quantity. It was about the disrespectful way paying guests were treated.

Health SPA too simple and not good room place so was expensive for what was offered. Not nice theraphists. No good aromatic oil, no tea, no foot washing. Try to go out side for better services. Sea food restaurant too expensive for the food quantity served. Better going outside for better quality and prices.

・プールやプレイグラウンドが部屋からすぐそばで、遅くまで子供が遊ぶことができた。子供用の浅いプール（50cmくらい）があるのが嬉しかった。 ・シーフードレストランで綺麗な夕焼けを見ることができた。本来ならシャトルバスは20分後の出発だったが、スタッフの好意で、夕焼けのベストタイミングに間に合わせるために個別に車を出してくれた。 ・ビーチまですぐそばで、早く起きた子供と早朝に朝焼けを見ながらビーチで散歩した時間は思い出に残った。小さなカニや魚がいた。 ・ウェルカムドリンクが美味しかった。

・朝食時に、部屋にコーヒーを持ち帰る紙カップがあると嬉しかった。

We had a very nice large room and separate lounge area - large bathroom with bath and shower. Had everything we needed. Was worth paying the small extra for the bigger room. Nice little extra touches on arrival with fruit and goodies delivered during stay. We enjoyed looking around the resort - hired a buggy. Busy over weekend but not afterwards. Pool was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast with plenty of choices differing each day. Restaurants plenty of choice and prices not too expensive compared to U.K./NZ.

Wet season so weather wasn’t great and meant the beach was full of rubbish from the sea - staff cleared it in front of the resort.

Wir hatten das Hotel während unseres Singapur-Urlaubs für einen Kurzausflug nach Bintan ausgewählt und unsere Erwartung wurde übertroffen. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einem wunderschönen, weißen Sandstrand. Das Meer war türkisblau, klar und sauber. Am Strand gab es jedoch Warnschilder vor Quallen und Teer bei entsprechender Strömung, wovon wir aber nicht betroffen waren. Das ganze Hotel war insgesamt sehr sauber und das Personal durchweg freundlich. Unser Zimmer war groß und verfügte über ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten. Das angebotene Frühstück war großzügig und abwechslungsreich. Abend gab es mehrere Restaurant im Hotelbereich zur Auswahl. Für uns war das Angebot mehr als ausreichend und das Essen schmeckte sehr gut. .

Es gibt nichts zu bemängeln am Hotel.

A little bit expensive

Das Resort ist sehr weitläufig und großzügig gestaltet. Die Poolanlage ist sehr schön und in wenigen Schritten ist man am schönen Strand. Das Frühstück war ausreichend und von guter Qualität. Fürs Dinner kann ich das Restaurant Spice nur empfehlen. Qualität und Preis sind sehr gut und das Personal ist sehr freundlich.

Der kostenlose Shuttle ist eine Zumutung. Wir haben über eine Stunde im eiskalten Bus gewartet, bis auch der allerletzte Gast von unserer Fähre sich endlich gefunden hatte… und das ganze für 8 !!! Minuten Busfahrt. Da fragt man sich schon, warum man nicht zumindest 2x fahren kann. So sollte kein Urlaub anfangen. Die Zimmer hätten eine Renovierung notwendig. Unsere Zimmertür ließ sich nicht richtig schließen und wir mussten umziehen. Alles ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und Teile der Anlagen gleichen Lost Places.

There are lots of activities

Poor communication among staff, lack of information sharing with guests, poor hospitality, and terrible Wi-Fi. The front desk staff told me that not all rooms had refrigerators, which left me in a bind, but after looking around carefully, I found a small refrigerator in my room. How is it possible that hotel staff don’t know what amenities are in the rooms? I can’t believe it.

スタッフの対応が非常に良かった。ロケーションも素晴らしく、朝食も美味しかったです。敷地内の他のレストランも良かった。ビーチアクティブティも充実しており、小学校から高校生の子供まで大満足でした。

For the 2 nights of our stay at Nirwana everything was good, breakfast was ok, this place is good for us to take a break feel so relaxing. And best part our room is a seaview. I will come back again with my family and take abit longer stay there.

Hôtel très bien situé, à 15mn du terminal du ferry. Il y a un golf à 5 mn de l’hôtel. Par contre il n’y à presque rien aux alentours.

Only cons would be the price of the food/restaurants within the resort. They are quite elevated. It felt more expensive than Singapore and there is no option for grab delivery either

Food. Very limited options for Indian vegetarian. Too pricey. Prices displayed in the menu are bit deceptive: Actual bill is around +20% over the listed price due to taxes & service charges. Stragely, if you want to take food from the restaurant (takeaway), you need to pay extra. Very small minimart, so you have hardly option to buy alternative food.

All the staffs are so hospitable. The resort is clean, relaxing and a lot of activities that families will definitely enjoy. We, especially my daughter really enjoyed her stay in Nirwana.

The staff were friendly & the prime beachfront location was good. My son chose this resort because of the numerous activities it offers, especially the clubhouse with pool & pingpong which we spent most time at. My kids loved the iguanas & I loved the wonderful view of the beach & constant breeze from my suite’s balcony.

The property is very dated & in need of a major overhaul to draw more guests. Compared to the newer hotels, the pool looks old & the facilities look tired. The rooms also are very dark & dated. Much of the decor looks it needs major refreshment. There is lot of wasted space in the resort. The tiles used not only look dated but are slippery. My husband & daughter both slipped & fell walking to the room & it wasn’t that the tiles were wet. The room tiles also felt like there was a “film” over it & didn’t feel very clean when walking barefoot. The beach was quite dirty during our stay maybe due to some recent oil spills & sadly we couldn’t spend any time at all in the sea.

The location of the resort and options for food is unbeatable; Spice Restaurant and Kelong Seafood are the best u can get and are easily accessible via the free internal shuttle. The staff are also very nice and go out of their way to please the guests and make them feel at home.

Few things can be made better, especially the in-room facilities: the television is outdated with limited international options to watch, probably good to upgrade to Smart Televisions. The washroom can be better equipped perhaps with rain showers and improved hot water systems, the geyser seemed a bit of hit or miss with the water alternating between hot and cold automatically. Though understand that the property is quite old, so maybe a good idea to upgrade some of these facilities to make the in-room experience better. Apart from that, the resort itself and the facilities are top class, couldn’t ask for more.

The place is wonderful and the staff are very welcoming, always ready to help.

We were at the mercy of the resort's ferry, which is more expensive and doesn't have many departure times. I had to miss my Sunday because there were no more departures in the afternoon.

This resort offers a wonderful and relaxing getaway experience. The staff are very helpful, friendly, and always with a warm smile. The rooms are clean and comfortable, making the stay pleasant. The swimming pool is indeed beautiful with a poolbar concept. Due to moonsoon, the tide was quite strong but still, the beach bay was beautiful, and perfect for unwinding. The breakfast was a decent one but personally prefer if the indo-mee section could have a dry mee option, as mixing the fresh salad veggie, coconut chicken meat, sausage, and sunny up egg, will be an almost perfect meal. Do also try out their Burger n Pizza too. For the kelong seafood, expect to see eagle dives gracefully to catch its prey on the surface of the water, and also be accompanied by Doulus Phos. A truly harmony of flavor and nature. Overall, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy. Breakfast could be enhanced with quality foods. good foods attract visitors. Rooms should be regularly checked for faulty features. Very frustrating when something is broken n damaged n have to call housekeeping .

The rooms are rundown, the bathroom doors are broken, the furniture is smelly. Very old furniture and no proper maintenance.

The staff are good, and the beach is well maintained.

This was our third stay in three years as a family, as we trusted the hotel’s standards. Unfortunately, this stay was extremely disappointing and concerning. On one evening, the bathroom door suddenly crashed as my husband opened it. Thankfully, he was not physically injured, but this was a serious safety incident that could have caused severe harm - especially if our young kids had been nearby. What made the situation worse was the management’s response. When the manager came to inspect the damage, he suggested he needed to verify whether we were responsible for it. This felt inappropriate and dismissive, given the clear safety failure. Despite the seriousness of the incident, no repair to our stay, compensation, or meaningful apology was offered. The lack of accountability and empathy was shocking, especially for a hotel that presents itself as family-friendly and high standard. Sadly, this experience has completely broken our trust, and we will not be returning.

Das Nirvana Gardens Beach Resort überzeugt vor allem durch seinen außergewöhnlichen Service. Die Angestellten sind durchweg wahnsinnig freundlich, höflich, aufmerksam und sehr bemüht. Man hat jederzeit das Gefühl, dass die Gäste wirklich im Mittelpunkt stehen. Wünsche werden einem sprichwörtlich von den Augen abgelesen – selbst kleine Gesten wie das sofortige Öffnen von Türen oder aufmerksames Nachfragen gehören hier ganz selbstverständlich dazu. Dieser Service ist wirklich nicht alltäglich. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Für ein Menü mit zwei Hauptgängen, einem großen Getränk und Dessert zahlt man im Durchschnitt etwa 50 €, was angesichts der Qualität absolut gerechtfertigt ist. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet ist hervorragend, sehr abwechslungsreich und hochwertig. Die Anlage selbst ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, was man an manchen Stellen sieht. Einige Bars werden aktuell nicht voll betrieben, was vermutlich an der Nebensaison liegt – wir waren im Januar, also außerhalb der Haupt- und Ferienzeit. Das Resort ist daher sehr ruhig und teilweise leer. Trotzdem sind die Restaurants geöffnet, und der Service bleibt aufmerksam, selbst wenn man zu den wenigen oder einzigen Gästen gehört. Am Pool gibt es ausreichend sehr bequeme Liegen, alles ist gepflegt und entspannt. Der Strand ist schön, ruhig und bietet alles, was man für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt braucht. Fazit: Wer Ruhe, Entspannung und einen außergewöhnlich herzlichen Service sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Trotz kleiner altersbedingter Abnutzungen fühlt man sich rundum gut betreut und willkommen. Ein idealer Ort zum Abschalten und Genießen. Etwas zu „ausgestorben“ für unseren Geschmack und schade das zum Beispiel die Pool Bar nicht offen hat, aber um runterzukommen wohl gut 😌

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr, sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Der Pool und der Strand waren sehr sauber und gut in Stand gehalten. Die Anlage ermöglicht eine gute Erholung und bietet ausreichend Platz. Es wurde sich viel Mühe gegeben, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen. Der kostenlose Shuttlebus war super.

Im Meer schwimmt leider viel Müll, dafür kann das Hotel aber nichts. Das Frühstück hat uns nicht überzeugt, einiges (z.B. die Früchte) hatten schlicht keinen Geschmack und das Naan-Brot war extrem zäh. Schade. Das Essen in den Restaurants war relativ teuer, die Qualität war aber gut.
