La poignée de la porte de la chambre 11 qui ne tenait pas. Il faisait chaud dans cette chambre. La douche qui ne fonctionnait pas bien ou qui avait un problème et le tapis de fond de ma baignoire qui collait aux pieds.

Clean and comfortable. Staff very nice.. Tea and offer in room. White towels and bedding.. we’ve stayed a few times and will again.

It is an old hotel, so every time guested above walked around the noise from the floor boards woke me up. But next time illl take ear plugs.

Die Lage ist super. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze. Die Aussicht vom Zimmer war toll. Es gab Tee und Kaffee. Der Empfang war freundlich. Kleiner Tisch und Sessel.

Insgesamt hätte unser Zimmer mal eine Grundreinigung nötig gehabt. Auf den ersten Blick ist das Haus beeindruckend, leider sieht man auf den zweiten Blick eher vernachlässigte Ecken.

General atmosphere of the hotel, with friendly staff. Very generous sized room, with an awesome view of the Loch ( paid slightly extra, but definitely worth it). The room was, as expected, clean, comfortable & inviting, with all the appropriate amenities. Breakfast was excellent! The bar service is outstanding with a wide variety, (including Pernod, for those wishing to remember the 80's). Live music on Friday/Saturday. Beautiful decor & not overwhelming.

Not so much, dislikes, more a suggestion... More Disabled bays for parking (two in total), with better lighting after hours. The option of a veggie sausage on request, would have really completed breakfast for me. (Granted, there was more than enough to satisfy, compared to other hotels I have stayed at)

Fabulous location beside the loch, a great base for our hiking weekend. The restaurant and breakfast was good too, and I would definitely stay here again.

The evening meal - our food appeared within 5 minutes of sitting down and before the wine was served. Overcooked vegetables.

Goed als tussenstop voor een overnachting maar niet meer

Serieus verouderd hotel dat dringend aan vernieuwing toe is. Men deed wel moeite om het proper te krijgen maar de kalk en schimmel in de badkamer kreeg men gewoonweg niet meer weg. Ontbijt was in orde maar we misten wel beleg en een beetje variatie in brood.

De kamer en de service zijn zeer slecht. We hadden al gelezen dat t oud was, dat is niet erg, maar schimmel in de badkamer, bladderende verf aan de muren, vettige vloerbedekking en spinnenwebben en lagen stof is gewoon echt niet oké! Had aangegeven dat we service wilde na de eerste nacht, maar dat was niet gedaan. Na reclamering aan de balie en de belofte dat het na het eten schoon zou zijn, wederom een teleurstelling. Schoonmaken is meer dan een bed rechttrekken en schone handdoeken neerleggen. Geen stopcontacten bij het bed zoals beschreven, een haardroger in de lade die is afgekeurd en een badkamer waar je echt je kont niet kunt keren! Deze was nog geen meter breed. Verder werden we de 2de nacht wakker gerammeld door een brandalarm wat na 5 sec weer uitging, geen reactie vanuit het hotel, geen belletje dat alles oké was, geen informatie, totaal niets! Bij navraag deed de dame net alsof er geen alarm was afgegaan, echt schandalig. Blij dat we weg konden. Je zou geld toe moeten krijgen..

The property is in a beautiful location and the staff were absolutely superb. Bed was reasonably comfy.

The property is in need of some serious updating. Our room had a cracked sink, there was a hole in the shower ceiling and the temperature on the shower worked the opposite way.

The views were lovely. Nice local pub nearby and a wee local shop with decent supplies. Barman cleaners and dining staff were all helpful.Plenty of places for lovely walks.

.The staff were nice and helpful.But for a hotel, the bar doesn't open till 3 pm.Was there for 2 nights on the first night the bar kept running out of ice, which is really bad.I asked for it to be fixed the barman was lovely,and said no bother.The second night the same thing he explained he had made them aware the lady on reception said they weren't aware I actually bought some from the local shop. Reception gave me a voucher for a free drink, but it should have been sorted as the hotel was full, and other guests were not happy about it

Decent breakfast. View from the front is stunning. That's about it.

Room view of empty beer barrels and the gas tanks. On ground floor at rear of hotel next to access road to kitchens etc. Had to keep curtains closed for any privacy whatsoever as anyone walking/driving past could see straight in. When I had a shower I found that the provided towel was soiled - brown stains. Really not pleasant. Fortunately there was a clean towel as well. Bar - very limited. Evening menu - very limited 'Table de Hote' menu with not much choice. Whole place felt very impersonal and not friendly. Crowded with large groups. Not good for solo traveller.

A very friendly welcome on reception, a lovely view of the loch from our bedroom. Breakfast is self service but all very good and replenished constantly.

The view from my room was amazing and staff were lovely. The bed was very clean and comfortable, and I slept really well.

The hotel is very tired. The tv was not connected to the internet and the bedside lamp wasn’t working. However, I was only there for one night, and this didn’t detract from the enjoyment of my stay.

Snídani v hotelu jsme nevyužili. Lokalita je vynikající, přímo u křižovatky hlavních silnic, přesto opravdu velmi klidné místo, s nádherným výhledem na hory či mořský záliv, velmi blízko zastávky busu i malého obchodu s potravinami, který je otevřený každý den. Byli jsme v září tj. konec letní sezony. Z lokality jsem nadšen.

Velký pozor, pojedete-li busem do Glasgow/na letiště, pokud si neuděláte online předběžný nákup lístku, tak velmi vážně hrozí, že vás bus nevezme, neboť už nebude mít místo. (Týká se nedělního spoje č. 926 v 11h38 směrem na letiště v Glasgow. Hotel však velmi rychle zareagoval a poskytl kontakt na taxi, které reagovalo ihned a přijelo do 25 min.

Lovely setting, friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Very competitively priced and dog friendly. We shall return.

Sole upgrading required to the rooms but a good night’s sleep can be had.

Given the very mixed reviews for the hotel I wasn’t sure what to expect but I have to say the room I had - a standard double overlooking the car park and loch - was perfectly fine. Comfortable bed, nice shower, toiletries were good quality, room smartly presented; although I agree that the room and corridor carpets really do need updating. If that was done the hotel would really look first class so I would urge the owners to make an upgrade a serious consideration. The breakfast was excellent - lovely choice and quality, and I found all the staff friendly and pleasant.

As above I agree with others that the carpets throughout should be upgraded - it would really raise the look and feel of the hotel.

Not much to do in the area

Location was spot on. First time in the area. Staff were friendly. Great views onto Loch Long. Car park filled quickly by the evening. Evening meal was good. Leek and potato soup and Bream with caper sauce were excellent. Breakfast- lots to choose from

Good seating area near the bar. Room a bit dusty and could have been vacuumed a bit better but considering the cost of 2 nights we can’t complain.

La ubicación con vista al lago y la habitacion es espaciosa. Es un hotel antiguo, se nota en sus muebles e instalaciones. A la noche tomamos una cerveza en el bar de la recepción y fue muy disfrutable.

(cleaning) staff was very friendly, easy parking. Bed linnen felt hygienic. Soap smelt nice.

The hotel is just a bit old and crusty. With rooms and bathrooms seeming to date from the 1980s. Small towels, no place to leave your stuff, carpet that has probably seen a lot. But i guess it is what we paid for and 66 pounds seems like a good price for a night in the area.

Das Frühstück war etwas lieblos. Voller Zimmerservice muss ja nicht jeden Tag sein, aber wenigstens die Mülleimer sollten täglich geleert werden.

L'emplacement est magnifique. Le restau est certes un peu cher mais qu'est ce que c'est bon (je conseille fortement le fish & chips !) Personnel souriant et sympathique qui essaie de s'adapter aux étrangers parlant peu l'anglais.

Salle de bain un peu vieillotte qui nécessiterait un coup de jeune, mais franchement, c'est le seul point négatif !

L’hôtel est bien situé, juste en face du lac, accueil sympathique et le restaurant est super

The location is great, the breakfast/dining room is lovely ,as is the lounge , beautiful views of the loch and the cobbler. the entertainment was Graham Hollet whom we have seen many times and he is fantastic we have previously stayed in Loch view rooms which are great.

This time we were a bit last minute booking , the hotel was full and the only room available as a standard room on 2nd floor facing the rear..., not so great view but okay, room was very small and the toilet/shower was adequate but had a rickety wooden sliding door which did not run very well ! and the shower had a constant drip... however on the plus side the bed was extremely comfortable and we had a great sleep

The location on the side of the loch was fantastic. Nice clean hotel and helpful staff.

Breakfast wasn't too good. Cold greasy bacon, sausages were under cooked they were still 95% pink/raw. The toast and coffee were good and a great selection of fruit juices.

We arrived very late fell asleep and left early. We needed a bed and a shower and it was what we needed at a great price.

It’s a bit old and dated. The beds were decent and the shower was tricky. The bathtub didn’t drain while showering was the only real problem we encountered.

Surprising little gem! The place isn't modern and fancy, it has a relaxed cosy vibe. The restaurant is FANTASTIC. Best chips I've ever had and the service impeccable. Easy stay with the dog and felt very welcome. Convenient spot for travelling and seeing the sites. The view is gorgeous - go for a lake view! Will be coming back!

Beautiful location right on the edge of the loch. Convenient for an overnight stop on the way to the Highlands. Breakfast was ok.

Unfortunately we had one of the worst rooms I have ever stayed in. The quality of rooms in this hotel must vary a lot as there are plenty of good reviews for this hotel (hence why I booked) but the room we were given was dingy, cold and filthy. We entered the room through a weirdly narrow doorway/entranceway and were immediately hit by a strong smell of wet dog and stale cigarette smoke. The room was extremely run down - shabby old furniture, barely functioning curtains (which had stains and paint on), peeling wallpaper and random old fixtures and fittings on the walls which had not been removed/filled in. The carpet was extremely dirty (and was where the wet dog smell was coming from) and all the corners, skirting and lamps had a thick layer of dust. There were rust stains in the bath and the toilet did not flush well. We were only using the hotel as an overnight stop on the way to the Highlands so we were too tired to complain and try and get a different room, but if we had been staying longer, I would have looked for a different hotel. It was not a good start to our trip.

Great location with beautiful scenery. Short walk along the loch to local shop and pub. Staff were very friendly and happy to answer any questions. Dinner was good and there was a GF and V option.

There was no hand soap in the room and we had to ask for more toilet roll as we were only given one that was nearly empty. While the room was clean on the surfaces, there were a lot of cobwebs throughout the hotel. It adds to the charm but only okay if you’re happy sharing a room with multiple spiders.

Super hôtel, très spacieux, ambiance un peu "Shinning", avec moquette et escalier monumental, mais très bon accueil et chambre parfaite avec vue sur le loch.

Problème parking : le parking est normalement gratuit pour les résidents, hors suite à une erreur de communication de l'hotel du numéro d'immatriculation de notre voiture à la police locale, nous avons eu la très mauvaise surprise d'avoir été verbalisé pour défaut de paiement du parking, la société de location de voiture a payé l'amende et nous avons été débité au total de 105 euros sur notre compte. S'agissant d'une de la part de l'hotel, il nous semble logique qu'il nous rembourse cette somme. Nous attendons toujours....

Good choice for breakfast although the quality could have been better but overall for the price it is good value.

The staff are overstretched so this sometimes meant a wait at reception and to be seated for dinner. Front access is not disabled friendly and front door is very stiff and hard to open.

The location is ideal, breathtaking views, the breakfast was excellent, free parking, the staff were very pleasant & accommodating when needed.

I had an evening meal of ravioli with a side of fries, cost just under £20.00, 5 pieces of ravioli, that was what was on my plate, the bar person kept disappearing so was waiting a while for him to return, nowhere to place my toiletries in bathroom, also, kettle in room but needed bottled water as water in room was vile.

The staff were very friendly, the parking was convenient and the location was great.

Unfortunately, the hotel itself felt very dated and the room was quite dusty and in need of a good clean. The decor could definitely use some updating, and a little more attention to cleanliness would make a big difference.

Es un hotel con buenos servicios, está en frente del lago, hay habitaciones con vistas al lago aunque la mía, no.La habitación es de tamaño bueno y parece que esté limpio salvo la moqueta que está muy sucia. Tiene ascensor y parking para aparcar gratis.

Los muebles son muy viejos, las sábanas estaban muy sucias con grandes manchones, no se podían usar.

Good room, big bathroom. The lift was appreciated. The included breakfast was comprehensive, hot and tasty. We had to leave early to catch the Islay ferry, and the breakfast room was opened early, thank you.

Bathroom was a bit cold, no heater. A small fridge would have helped us, we had carryover cold items from previous night. As always in the UK, a top sheet as well as a doona would be great, why is it not provided anywhere?

Breakfast was tasty but the bacon was dry. The choice of food was excellent catering for I would say everyone unless they had special dietary needs which I am sure would also be catered for. Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly.

Lovely location.

Breakfast was sparse. Only a small amount of each item put out at a time. As there were 4 of us some had to wait for it to be restocked. Was told on check in bar closed 11pm but barman closed it at 10.30. It also lacked atmosphere.

The hotel is tired and could do with an investment to raise the standards. It has the potential to be a great hotel if money was spent to upgrade the interior. Our room was grubby on arrival but the reception team quickly sorted out a clean when we went out. WiFi was not strong in our room which was far away from the server.

Wspaniałe miejsce w starym stylu pośrodku niczego. Wszystko nam się podobało. Wielki dwusosobowy pokój. Skrzypiąca podłoga pokryta wykładziną. Cena wyjątkowo niska jak na Szkocję.
