Check in arrival early hours wasn’t a warm welcome. The floors could be cleaner, especially in the lobby area.

The location was amazing as it was our first time in Istanbul. The restaurant at the hotel is terrible , but when you go out the little back gate youll find an awesome place to eat. However the location was just perfect. No car needed. I could go out for my power-walk every morning on the sea front, and explore the old city in the day and the thousands of restaurants at night, all in walking distance behind the Hotel. You can get lost and be amazed by the wonders of Istanbul.

The Hotel was just ok. Very old. Didnt even bother with breakfast as the food was really bad.

Kalyon Hotel enjoys an excellent and convenient location in the Fatih/Sultanahmet area, making it easy to reach many of Istanbul’s historic attractions. I particularly appreciated the friendly and helpful bellmen, as well as the clearly separated recycling bins and visible attention to sustainability in the public areas.

There were, however, a few aspects of my stay that I hope the hotel will consider improving. The Panoramic Room and its view did not quite meet the expectations created by the online descriptions and photos, and some of the furniture, upholstery, and carpets appeared worn or in need of deeper cleaning and maintenance. Housekeeping could also be more consistent, particularly regarding the overall cleanliness and condition of the room. Sleep comfort was affected by noise and by the bed and pillows, which I personally found uncomfortable. Communication at reception was another area where a more welcoming, clear, and solution-oriented approach would have made the experience more pleasant. I was pleased to see the hotel highlighting sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals, together with practical recycling facilities. It would be even more meaningful to see these values reflected consistently across housekeeping, maintenance, guest comfort, and service quality.

The room size is good

It’s very far from attractions and need to pay for transportation a lot of money. The customer service is very poor and don’t handle the problem properly as AC in my room wasn’t working and they didn’t solve my problem plus I booked the panoramic room and they gave me half panoramic one

Расположение и завтраки на террасе с видом на Мраморное море.

Шумно. Никакой шумоизоляции окон. Окно выходило на Kennedy Caddesi, как я и выбирала. Сначала подумала, что окна открыты. Нет, закрыты 😆. Но для кого- то такой шум- это нормально )).

Location over looking the water was lovely, and was close to major tourist areas. Foyer was spacious and comfortable and Starbucks coffee was also on hand.

Reception staff had difficulty understanding English which made communication difficult. My room had some issues such as the safe did not work (this was rectified) we also had an issue with the shower where the soap dish and handle broke off the wall and then the mixer tap also broke which made adjusting the water impossible. Housekeeping was very late to clean our rooms requesting we leave at 4;30pm so they could clean, then they failed to leave towels which took 6 hrs to rectify.

Location was good , it also has parking . Breakfast was okay , not something special.

Definitely needs renovation,it’s pretty old for the price , I wouldn’t call it a 4star hotel . We also stayed at the Catch hotel before going at kalyon and the difference was huge even though it was more expensive. Two times we called reception because we needed something and the first they never brought it(clean towels which they should have changed in the first place), the second we had to call again and still were really late . Also I think some photos are not representative of the view .

Un très bon accueil, bel hôtel, possibilité de garer son véhicule gratuitement sur place, pet-friendly, restaurants, à proximité des transports en commun, situé dans le centre historique, calme (sauf évidemment les personnes qui ne respectent le silence ou claquent les portes), bonne expérience, propre et confortable.

عوازل الغرف ضعيفة نوعًا ما الأثاث شوي قديم الإفطار بسيط جدًا والخدمة ذاتية الباقي كلو تمام والفندق جميل انصح به 👍🏻

I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. Our stay was truly wonderful, and from the very first moment, my husband and I were welcomed with exceptional warmth and professionalism. My husband travelled all the way from Poland to Istanbul by motorcycle, so having a safe place for his bike was very important to us. From the beginning, we could count on the staff’s help, care and attention. Another wonderful surprise was our room – we received a complimentary upgrade to a higher-standard room, for which we are extremely grateful. The hotel itself is very comfortable, well maintained and perfectly located, with easy access to Istanbul’s main attractions. However, the greatest asset of this hotel is undoubtedly its staff. Everyone was absolutely wonderful – kind, attentive and always ready to help. I stayed at the hotel alone for a while, waiting for my husband to arrive, and I never once felt left on my own. I felt completely safe, comfortable and genuinely well looked after. For us, this was much more than simply a place to stay. It was a place where we truly felt welcome and cared for. Such an exceptional level of service deserves the highest praise. Istanbul completely captured our hearts, and we already know that we would love to return. And when we do, we will be more than happy to choose this hotel again.

Die Sauberkeit des Hotels sowie das Personal die auf jeden Wunsch eingehen und es auch direkt umsetzen. Die Location vom Hotel, direkt in der Nähe der ganzen Sehenwürdigkeiten und das noch mit einem super Meerblick.

Die Handtücher wurden trotz Reinigung des Zimmers nicht gewechselt.

Lokalita skvělá, do hotelu se dalo dojet autem a zaparkovat přímo u hotelu bez zajíždění do starého města. K památkám jsme už chodili pěšky, cca do 10-15 minut k Hagia Sophia, trošku do kopce. Jinak i krásný výhled z pokoje na moře.

Vše bylo v pořádku.

Personalul începând de la recepționera,la micul dejun personalul arogant si relativ scârbit de meseria pe care o practica,micul dejun slab,cafeaua extrem de proasta(am cumpărat de la bar un capuccino,desertul din vitrina cu urme de degradare etc) baia foarte mica cu calitatea pot spune si foarte incomod de afaceri um dus,vechi mobilier,mocheta murdara .

Ironisch genoeg zijn we er alleen maar gaan slapen omdat we er toch al voor betaald hadden 😂.

* Niets is zoals het op de foto’s wordt weergegeven; dit voelt erg misleidend. * De kamer die ik had geboekt en verwachtte, heb ik niet gekregen. Mij werd verteld dat deze volgeboekt was. De airconditioning werkte maar op één stand en leek defect te zijn. Toen ik dit bij een personeelslid aangaf, kreeg ik simpelweg te horen dat ik het zelf met de receptie moest bespreken :), terwijl ik juist verwachtte dat het personeel dit voor mij zou oplossen. * Zowel in de kamer als op de gang hing een sterke sigarettenlucht. * Het personeel kwam erg afstandelijk en ongeïnteresseerd over. * Ik heb helaas weinig vriendelijkheid of gastvrijheid ervaren.

Завтрак. На мой взгляд, есть было вообще нечего. Я такого скудного завтра нигде еще не видела. Стоит вроде много разных тарелок, 5 с оливками, еще 5 с какой то кашой из овощей, а есть на самом деле нечего. Хорошо были тосты и машина для их готовки. Фрукты были и варенные яйца. А все остальное абсолютно неприглядного вида. Кофе было более менее. За это плюс. Убирались прям так себе.

Personalul de la recepție neprietenos și puțin rasist. Am ajuns la cazare la 6 a.m și m-au cazat la 14 p.m spunând că nu sunt camere libere, dar trei familii de turci care au ajuns după mine i-au cazat imediat. Distanța foarte mare față de centru, 2 km de coastă abruptă. Gălăgia foarte mare din hotel chiar si până la 2 a.m. Prin spatele hotelului trece trenul care de asemenea face zgomot.

В день выезда сотрудники также помогли нам во всём, что было нужно. Очень доброжелательный и внимательный персонал. Мы остались очень довольны и с удовольствием рекомендуем это место.

Kamer is toe aan vervanging het is een suite met zeezicht dan verwacht je dat er meer dan 2 personen erin kunnen verblijven. Had voordat ik kwam ook de vraag naar de accommodatie gesteld over aantal personen helaas geen antwoord hierop gekregen.

Nice location, with a lot of history, beautiful scenery with the old wall of the city that could have in from Roman times or byzantine. It was very near the impressive blue masque and Hagia Saphia.

The staff shafted me on a lot of little things that cost me money. They must think we are all rolling in money. They claimed to use a credit card will cost over 11 percent of the bill (it is 2 percent in this world). I asked for a metered cab to the airport that should have cost 2200 Turkish lira but gave me a rundown cab that charged me 80 euros or 4400 Turkish Liras when I got to the airport. The flaky cab driver never encountered an American tourist that does not have a 4 digit pin number with a credit card so I had to use another cabs machine, I could have been billed twice.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in Turkey. To put it simply, everything was wrong. The staff was unpleasant and didn't smile once. The room was extremely basic, plain, and not very clean. In the bathroom, the water ran rusty. The air conditioning didn't work properly upon arrival and couldn't be regulated. The minibar contained only a single bottle of warm water. The window insulation was atrocious. Outside was a very busy cobblestone road leading to the Old Town, which meant constant noise from both the street and the hallways. As for the Wi-Fi, it was a bad joke: it basically never worked properly and the connection speed was so low it was unusable. Even the breakfast was highly subpar. Everything about this place was just wrong. The hotel feels stuck in the era it was founded, with absolutely no move toward modernity. I felt very uncomfortable there. The price was completely overblown and didn't match the quality of the accommodation at all; a room like that should cost 40 Euros at most. I am extremely dissatisfied, I will never return, and I strongly warn everyone against staying here. The only plus was the location on the seafront, close to the Old Town and the Blue Mosque. Otherwise, everything was terrible.

Every single aspect of this hotel needs to be improved; otherwise, the entire operation just doesn't make sense. It is simply a terrible place.

Posizione bellissima sul lungomare , vicinanza alla zona monumentale , colazione molto varia . La stanza ampia e dotata di tutti i comfort . Bellissima la sala colazione con veduta sul Bosforo .

Le stanze sul retro danno su una piccola strada con traffico praticamente assente ma vengono parcheggiati dei furgoni che la mattina molto presto partono per il lavoro : necessaria maggiore insonorizzazione dei vetri.

I always seek for 3 things out of most stays: Location, sleep quality and breakfast. 1) Location is 10 out of 10 2) Clean and comfortable bed and pillow which is very important to me.

1) breakfast is kind of poor for this place. Also what was strange is omelette and coffee out of coffee machine is on extra charge. 2) You better bring your shower kit with you: I asked for a shaving kit and received it at the midnight after my third call. The first two requests were in the morning. 3) The hotel personnel was quite helpful during check in but turned on the ghost mode while we were leaving. I don’t really mind the second point and I would really improve the breakfast.

Priveliștea este minunată , parcarea este gratuită și se află în fața hotelului și ospătarul bătrânel care ne-a ajutat cu multe informații .

Micul dejun destul de limitat, aveai o singură variantă de cafea ( genul făcută la cafetiera),

Hotetul e foarte apropape de centru istoric, are parcare proprie, camerele sunt ok si curate.

Das Hotel verfügt über ausreichend Parkplätze, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter, vor allem Brother Cebrail ACAR , Boxe und Yardi, die uns jederzeit mit einem Lächeln unterstützt haben. Zur Begrüßung gab es eine leckere Limonade, was einen sehr guten ersten Eindruck hinterlassen hat. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall gerne wieder. Vielen Dank für den tollen Service!

Όμορφο ξενοδοχείο, με ιστορία, πολύ καλό σημείο, ήσυχο αλλά εντός του ιστορικού κέντρου, σχεδόν 5 λεπτά με τα πόδια. Όμορφοι χώροι με θεα, κ άνεση, κ Πολύ καλό πρωινό!
